i think "it takes a village" shouldn't be just "to raise a child". we should understand it takes a village to do literally everything we do. all day every day. without our communities we would not have drinking water or electricity or clean streets or food or shelter or anything. we cannot do any thing alone. we just can't. and with that comes the fact that you are not alone. you already have a community, seek to be an active part of it, you will feel better. reach out and thank them, they're happy to have you too. i promise. it takes a village to live.

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

hello again (bill clinton limewire voice) my fellow americans
There are a few states that actually have Shield/Refuge laws designed to help trans people fleeing from trans-unsafe states, which also guarantee trans folks access to healthcare. These states are:
California
Colorado
Illinois
Oregon
Vermont
Washington
Minnesota
New Mexico
Maine
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Washington D.C.
Additionally, some states have "trans sanctuary" executive orders signifying safety for trans folks seeking healthcare. These states are:
Maryland
New Jersey
New York
Living as a resident in these states means you are protected by state's rights and state government to continue or begin receiving trans healthcare. These laws have been codified in their states so everything has been a-ok'd by their state governments.
Stay alive. You got this. I love you.

westerners really are primed to see japanese art as inherently perverted, to the point where if an anime character appears naked at any point, or hell even if you can see a little bit of skin, they start ranting about how anime is filled with unnecessary fanservice to pander to perverted otakus.
but, first of all, the human body is not inherently sexual. artists have been drawing naked bodies for millennia, and for a variety of reasons! in ascribing sexual intent to every depiction of nudity in anime, you are endorsing and reinforcing the societal policing of bodies, especially the misogyny that demands women be ashamed of our bodies and cover them up.
second, and most importantly, when you attribute any depictions of nudity in anime to the artists' desire to perform "fanservice", you're implying that japanese audiences are, as a whole, simple perverts who will watch anything as long as it's sexual. this is extremely racist. portraying other cultures as primitive savages who only care about sex is one of the oldest tricks in the racist's playbook.
lastly, why do you single out japanese art for misogyny to begin with? certainly, there are some japanese artists who are misogynistic, and it shows in the art they create; that much I'm not denying. but why is it that western artists are exempt from the same critiques, despite often being just as if not more misogynistic? why don't you criticize the sexualization of women and teenagers in usamerican tv shows and movies? why do you believe that western art can still be enjoyed for its merits despite its misogyny, but you condemn japanese art outright for the same thing?
