Busted out the ol' 3D printer to make myself some texture rollers for my various miniature projects.
I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the results.
Below the cut some closeups of both roller and unpainted test pieces plus the sources for the stl's of these three rollers.

DnD terrain roller - Egyptian Symbols from 3d-mon

This latter (probably my favourite) is a free sample from a paid set of 10, which I am now seriously considering picking up.

Trick or Treat! 🎃
Please enjoy some pics of my 1/72 scale Turnip28 armies!
"The Slugs Lament", converted from a Hät 1/72 Napoleonic Spanish Infantry Sampler box.
"The Grand Bombard" converted from a Hät 1/72 Napoleonic Austrian Infantry Sampler box and a cannon from 2007 board game Battleground: Crossbows & Catapults.
Oh and take these as you go!

Warhammer Townscape (4/3)?
Still technically a WiP of ruined 33. Gabled House
Got a tad more weathering to do, but otherwise extremely pleased with the results so far.
Bonus image below:
He's just hanging out, showing scale.

Warhammer Townscape (2/3)
Oh no these buildings seem to have been in some kind of nasty accident!
The first two are actually two halves of 13. Tower House
The third is 23. Ruins

Time to show off my Dnd character
Níðhöggr,
a Kobold Moon druid with the Giant Foundling background.
The model is from the Reaper Bones Kobold Leaders pack for the curious.

Tank Time
A definitely normal Blood Angels Predator.
A de-chaosed predator I converted for my Blood Angels a while ago. Complete with some Green stuff press molded Sanguinary Guard icons.

Drizzt’s here
A quite nice figure that came with the Nolzur’s Underdark paint set I got as a birthday present sometime ago. Made of a really rather nice soft plastic similar to reaper bones.
I attempted to paint him entirely with the paints in the kit, which worked okay until the only green in it was ‘putrid slime’. I had to call in reinforcements but still a fun challenge nonetheless.
Oh also the paints in the kit come in adorable half size little dropper bottles.

WIPs
Rules:
Write the latest line from your WIP (or post where you last left off in your art), and tag as many people as there are words in the line. Make a new post, don't reblog!
@katarvitz very kindly tagged my main blog (@zrinboy) the other day.
So I thought it was about time I use this sideblog for it’s purpose, and share some of my mini projects at last.
Long post and many photos incoming.
First off my most recent and lowest stakes project,
converting a 1/72 Napoleonic Spanish sampler box into some Turnip28 chaps.
Some closeups:
Back at 28mm we’ve got some upgraded Warhammer Townscape cardboard terrain:
The most complete of the bunch, the actual ‘ruins’.
Then a 2 for 1 deal on destroyed homes:
These two being made by literally cutting one building in half.
Penultimately we have the piece that gave me the idea in the first place and thus is the least complete:
So lastly we have the one where I got overconfident and bit off more than I could chew:
(this design’s not actually from the old Townscapes book btw)
Now I’ve gotta tag a few people, I’ll go with two seeing as I showed off two WIP projects:
@mel-a-art
@byrdierose

Retro Space Marine
A technically incomplete test model for my now abandoned Blood Angels successor chapter scheme. Turns out painting a crisp white right next to a bright red over and over is not fun. Now I’m just doing normal Blood Angels like a sane person.
