This may be an unpopular opinion, but I cannot for the life of me stand Ace. I find him to be so irritating I just wanna punch him and keep punching him. I’m fully on Rimmer's side when it comes to Ace because why is everyone else so charmed by him? He's snobbish. He’s a git (in a different way to Rimmer). I am aware that his character is a parody of something (top gun I believe but I could be wrong) but it’s not even funny. He's just straight up annoying. Am I alone in thinking this, or is it just me?

The singular redeeming quality is how Henry knight’s memory of his dad’s death as a child had the attacker replaced it with a dog. This foreshadows Sherlock having no memory of Eurus.

If there’s one thing I don’t get about this fandom is that some people take the deleted scene from Only the Good as canon. I understand it if you headcanon nano-Rimmer taking over current Ace’s role, no problems with that, you do you if that makes sense to you. The final scene was left for the viewer to come up with their own ending, to fill in the gap between S8 & BTE (this is my interpretation). The deleted scene, however, doesn’t (in my opinion) leave room for speculation, and I find it to be anticlimactic. If you’re like me and didn’t know about the deleted scene & found out about it though a post someone made, this then becomes confusing. Which is canon? Which is the ‘real’ ending to season 8? I am aware that this fandom is so so shoddy when it comes to continuity, and that people can headcanon whatever they like, but surely into the only one to believe this... right?

Okay uh note from Thespian and Zhelday- I have no fucking clue what's going on with Neil Gaiman rn but it does not look good so upon a conversation with Zhel about it we're taking good omens off the fandom list and quitting posting about it. On the very unlikely chance this becomes a massive hoax or smth (which we're pretty sure it's not but I don't have enough info to be sure) I guess things will calm down, but chances are we won't be good omens posting from here on out.
