Hello, Hello, Hello :),

Time is flying so quickly. It's already February. After a month of Shop the Look, it's time to return to the Soho Set. With part four, I want to pick up on something I wanted to create for the Fayun Set, a modular seating island situation. After further developing the idea, I called it a book lounge, which reminds me of Soho with all its book shops. This Set is also my contemporary answer to the library I created for the Chateau Set :) Spoiler alert: you can mix and match the books from both collections!

The lounge consists of a long Table you can use as a dining table or desk. You can combine it with a seating platform (PSST is a loveseat) and a Ficus planter that slots into the table. The platform has lots of slots perfect for your decoration purposes.

I approached shelves differently this time. For versatility, I separated the poles from the shelves; there are three different height options and two different shelf lengths. They come in metal and wooden swatches. I had quite some fun trying out all the various combinations :) Of course, I filled them with slots until the brim!

No shelves without clutter, I created nine different book arrangements inspired by all sorts of design books. Additionally, I made the Zettel'z Light from Ingo Maurer and had fun creating a painting.

ZETTEL'Z 6 BY INGO MAURER

The pendant lamp Zettel'z 6 by Ingo Maurer is an extraordinary lamp to design yourself. The design comes from Ingo Maurer himself, who launched the lamp in 1998 as a further variant of Zettel'z 5. The notes can be freely designed. Pictures, notes or little sayings can be placed on them. On demand, they can also be supplied blank. Since the notes are arranged in multiple layers and at different depths around the bulb, a pleasant, indirect light is generated. The varying degrees of shadow create additional atmosphere.

So proud to share this light with you! It was a nightmare to make it but now it's done. There is version with different image like text, photography, sketchup etc... and another plain white. I hope you will like it as I do!

Ingo Maurer is one of the leading lighting designers worldwide and he is one of the most important international product designers. He regards himself modestly an autodidact. He was born on the island of Reichenau located in the Lake Constance in 1932. Being a trained typesetter and a graduated graphic designer, Maurer started designing lamps as early as 1966 after his three years of working as a free designer in New York and San Francisco.  Characterised by the Pop Art movement, Ingo Maurer founded the studio Design M in a backyard of Munich. Later he renamed it to Ingo Maurer GmbH. From the beginning on the lighting designs by Maurer impressed by a seemingly infinite variety. The design of the lamp called Bulb is characterised by the simplicity of Pop Art and it has already been admitted to the Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1969. The standard light bulb surrounded by an oversized blown light bulb out of glass with a chromed socket rang in a new light era in which the objects were reduced to the light sources and what is more, they got rid of the classical lamp stand and of the lampshade as well. YaYaHo, the system of low voltage halogen which Maurer developed as a modular system in 1984, enables apparently infinite flexibility up to now and it offers a new insight into room and lighting. Maurer designs lamps telling stories, thus turning into new stories themselves. The table lamp Lucellino developed in 1992 is graceful and emotionally loaded with its handmade wings made out of goose feathers. Maurer succeeded in making its sight delighting and inviting to dream. The Zettel'z has a lyric effect - literally speaking. You may attach notes of Japanese paper with loving and melodic messages centrically around the lamp which then are kept by clamps
