                —《 ♠ 》RIDLEY KNEW SCRAPS. ridley knew what it was like to not have much & yet knowing that it is all you could possibly scrounge up at the moment. he knew the ins and the outs of hunger intrinsically & the desperation of always wanting more.

                he also knew the stark differences between a  g o o d  job and one you take out of necessity. he could recall the times when he could just tell that whoever hired him didnʻt trust him. some ratty kid from the STREETS with a penchant for fixing things ?? canʻt trust him as far as you can throw him. he could recall times when whoever hired him would bring him something to eat between breaks. something small, but always enough to warm something in his chest.

              (  he could recall a young girl, not much older than him, offering her couch to him when he had no where else to turn to.  )

               his current jobs, he knew, were some of the better ones. a roof over his head at one & a sweet older owner who let him pour himself as much coffee out of any of the never empty coffee pots from the other. the owner, agnes, would let him have his pick of any of the day-old pastries whenever he felt hungry enough for them.

                itʻs exactly what he had in hand when he knocked knocked knocked on zeldaʻs door, a white paper bag in one hand & a fresh to-go cup of coffee in the other. his own little peace offering of sorts. he leaned a bit closer to her door viewer, holding up the proffered breakfast & flashing her a small smile.
