open starter: open to f/nb muses. inspired by this and this. time for desmond to meet his future goth wife. that’s it. i want a spooky weird couple. 

     the sun was beginning to set as desmond settled himself down beside the open grave. folded up tarp rested beside him, but he had noticed that he couldn’t quite cover it over yet. not when there was someone laying inside it. “nice afternoon to die, huh?” he said, peering down at her. he had to say, a glance didn’t do her justice. it was impossible to take her in if he only took a moment, so he allowed himself to stare. she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen, he was certain of that much. “i have to ask, was that an intentional choice or did you get stuck? i only walked away for fifteen minutes.” plenty of people found his charm a little unsettling, considering his dry and often dark sense of humour, but something about her (and where he’d come across her) told him maybe she was different.
