#you're not wrong that it makes my polls less accurate

Why in your polls do you never include season 7? I get it, you may not like it, but your polls are inaccurate without it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others can't. Give it a chance to be voted on like the rest.
Great question nonny! (And a fair one to ask, I'm pretty consistent LOL š
)
For some of the polls, like the 'best #X episode' they're related to this year's rewatch: which is planned to run to 6x13. So it makes sense for those to omit anything after that.
But honestly: 9/10 times it's just because I don't like talking about that season š¤·āāļø
I'm always down for a sidebar discussion on how brilliant 7x02 was (The Garden š), or how John and Emori were MADE for their leadership roles on Sanctum and I wanted years more of that on screenāØ. I really enjoyed Dev's scenes and Echope's dynamic and giving Gabriel a found family... but the rest of the season? Watching live was a really unpleasant experience for me, and I don't get a lot of joy from rehashing it.
There could be S7 polls eventually? And I'll happily participate in other blogs' should they pop up on my feed āŗļø But you likely won't find a lot of that season's content on my page.
It bums me out, and I prefer to celebrate the parts of the show I really enjoyed watching
#the 100#poll question!#tysm for asking nonny š©µ#I'm sorry that's not the answer you were probably hoping for š#you're not wrong that it makes my polls less accurate#but they align with what I like to spaz to fandom about#and primarily that's why I'm here š¤·āāļø#but ty again for asking!#& feel free to post your own! I'd love to participate in other ones āŗļø#ask away!#ask#the season that shall not be named#NO sass to those who enjoyed s7š©µ I'm super glad there are folks that still enjoyed those episodes! they just aren't my cuppa tea

I think it's cool that y'all run a blog together. As someone in a DID system myself with introjects/fictives as well, I was wondering if you'd be willing to share a little bit about how you both differ from the game's canon, or how you're the same. I always find that interesting, since for us, it usually feels like a homogeneous blend of both. Also, I like y'all's art!
I really like this question, because honestly I haven't thought about this super hard aside from looking at something from the game and saying āThat's wrong.ā to myself.
The game itself almost feels like a caricature of my own experiences, which I guess makes sense since it's a game and wouldn't have the time to cover everything. It feels like an exaggerated and almost theatrical recount of what happened in some aspects. Most of the conversations depicted I remember going differently, and the Tulpar itself was a bit different too- more lived in I suppose. Like, for example, those stupid fucking Polle posters Pony Express plasters everywhere were only on the wall for the pre-flight inspection and were otherwise replaced. We never left those ugly ass things up for a whole flight, we only put them up when we were leaving and when we were docking because those were the only times corporate was looking. (That stupid statue is too inconvenient to move though)
But you were asking about differences with us in particular, not the Tulpar or other stuff, and that answer is more complicated. Obviously I can't answer for Curly because our memories differ but it's hard to answer for myself too.
Appearance wise my hair is a little darker shade of brown, my skin is more tan too. I'm less lean, my eyes are a silvery color (I can't remember what they were in game though, so that might be the same) We don't see most of my skin but I have a few scars here and there, including one on my stomach from an emergency appendectomy (Ow.) it's hard to think of physical differences because you really don't see much from that one outfit.
I see a bigger difference in how they portrayed- or didn't portray- my mentality and emotions. Things were a lot more complicated. I'd go into it but my half of the answer is already super long.

I also like this question, and I think Jim got it down with the game/canon feeling like a caricature. Itās like adapting a book into an hour long movie, the events and characters are similar, but often times have less depth to them. If my memories were a book then thatās what it would be like.
The little bit of conversation and quips you get from canon-Curly I feel are pretty accurate to myself, and I look pretty similar too. I donāt think we get enough info on him pre-crash for me to say if Iām super different or anythingā though if weāre going off of things the devs have said, I actually do like sweets. Whenever I eat out at a restaurant itās almost a guaranteed Iāll order dessert and make whoeverās with me have some too, because lifeās too short to not share a sweet treat with your friend after a nice dinner.
Thereās also some differences between my injuries and medical junk post-crash, and in general a lot of stuff during that time was different. Jim was a lot more involved with my care than they portray too. Though my memory can only be so trusted from those couple months.
I find all of this interesting too, so if you want us to expand on anything then youāre always welcomed to ask!

iām not getting offended, my tone is neutral. iām just wondering why you got sad there wasnāt less strap haters on the poll (āunfortunately it seems strap-haters arenāt that common :(ā). i donāt know if youāre realising youāre doing it, but saying other polls are skewed because lesbians are forced to like dick and bi women are participating (ones iām referring to were asking for lesbians only to respond and even left a spot for bi women to click there instead, but i donāt own the instagram that posted the polls and theyāre not highlighted sorry), is implying that more lesbians said they liked strap on because more women who could like dick participated. therefore strap is associated with dick or dick love. i just find it weird how many times iāve seen you speak about hating strap (pretty sure youāve done strap on polls before too). iām not offended iām just confused why you care about other lesbians liking strap so much. nobodyās forcing you to use or like one. but you sound like hets who say āhow can lesbians not like dick if they use strapsā by how bewildered you are by lesbians liking strap. move on.
lol im sorry, putting words in my mouth and then being like "but my tone is neutral" is just weird. youre assuming statements & intentions and there is nothing neutral about that, even if you're not name-calling me while doing it. when i say that many polls on this are inaccurate because many women identify as lesbians without being lesbians, you read that as saying something else. again, if i believe that liking a sex toy somehow changes someone's sexuality, why on earth would i repeatedly, explicitly say otherwise? why would i include two options for people who like strap-ons on a poll for *lesbians* if i think liking strap-ons makes someone not a lesbian? and how is an instagram poll more accurate simply because it reflects the proportions that youd like to see?
also "it seems strap-haters aren't that common :(" because im a strap-hater? like? you keep repeatedly putting words in my mouth & idc how you phrase it, that isn't cool nor is it conductive of a proper conversation either. even when i tell you my actual intentions, you keep saying "umm well you said it like this which implies otherwise" & are basically accusing me of lying about what i mean lmao. i was civil the first two times and clarified what i mean 3 times now. you want to misconstrue me regardless for whatever reason.
the poll was made because many lesbians feel straight up bad or wrong for not liking strap-ons. i have received numerous messages from young lesbians expressing this. this is because of how much it is referenced in lesbian circles & how often it is treated as some kind of lesbian sex staple. i myself thought that this was something i need to try and enjoy because of it. i do not care if a lesbian likes a strap-on, but i do take issue with the fact that it is treated as central to lesbian sexuality & is assumed as an aspect of every lesbians' sex lives & ive said that before. i didn't even express any bewilderment at there being lesbians who like strap-ons lol, but you seem to be projecting your own insecurities about liking it for whatever reason & its weird! im very sorry that you love strap-ons & i don't, but if you have to look for implications & statements that are not there just to demonise another lesbian, then maybe you need to take a step back and realise that the issue is on your end, not mine. if youre this upset over some lesbians hating strap-ons because you think it secretly means we think you're bisexual for loving it then that's a you problem. no need to take it out on me :)
#ive tried to be polite and explain to u like 3 times but im sure u will keep feeling attacked for no reason so have at it#maybe go to the women who think that if u like strap then ur bisexual rather than taking it out on me#like damn 30-ish% said they like it to some degree n ur upset bc 15% of us hate it ... girl..

Personally I have never thought of them much until they started getting politicized publicly. Their over the top style isn't my cup of tea but folks can dress however they want and I don't dislike them for it. I have never seen one in the flesh or seen a movie where there was one, or at least the modern presentation of them. I suspect drag is more well known and varied than I know about, but thats just it, I don't know about drag.
When I came out to my mom she asked if I wanted to do drag and it had not even occurred to me that that was a thing I might be interested in and associated with transitioning. My conception with transitioning culture is formed around casual, less performative, internet ideas of transfemininity. Which I presume has it's own problems.
I notice that there is no neutral options in the poll, what's up with that? The poll asks about more positive or more negative, if you have no feelings on the matter except not liking their style then that is more negative than positive, but it's not an "I don't like them at all, they should eat worms". The polls lack of nuance inherently drives a greater non-nuanced split that outside observers see as two rather partisan groups.
Natmas makes a good point about how it is assumed by the (probably US-centric) culture that drag performers represent a)trans people and b)transfem people especially. And drag is assuredly very transgender, it is, by my understanding, an archetype within transgender culture.
Hesperocyon's addition is valid, why do so many transfems (on tumblr) feel more negatively about drag? The whys seem really important here, because as I said before, without context those numbers look really bad, and they might not look great with context, but it will be more accurate. It's also interesting to see that there's almost twice as many transfem votes than transmasc votes.
And the general advice to self educate and self evaluate is generally ok, but without directing an avenue of education/research and evaluation/self-examining, it proves fairly ineffectual. Opinions exist for a reason and often require respectable contrary information to change, simply saying "you're wrong, fix it" without guidance will have little to no effect and what effect there is could be in any direction, getting worse or better or weird.
I think a second round of polling is in order, multiple if there isn't space for all the options, with a neutral options, and slightly more soecific options. Like negative/positive/neutral with personal experience/limited or internet experience/no experience. It might get to the root of the issue, it might not
I've gotta admit I think about this one a lot for many reasons. I'd really love to see what others think
