Okay, LISTEN. I'm not even THAT much of a monsterfucker but I've been crying about the Minotaur, like the original one born out of Minos being a dick and Poseidon taking revenge on Minos' wife because frankly he was a dick, too, since I read The House of Asterion by Borges as a kid. And even before, I thought it was sad he was killed by that douche Theseus with the help of his own half-sister! (Ariadne, gurl, I love you but come on! Thank god you developed some good taste in men later on.)

The OG Minotaur is one tragic character indeed, since basically the embodiment of the saying "the sins of the fathers are visited upon the children". He didn't deserve any of it, the poor fellow, actually both Theseus and Minos deserved to die in his place, the first for being a literal dick and the latter because he's just a piece of shit (like most father figures of the Greek mythology).

Ah, what a pity to live in a world where the monstrous (and the diverse per extension) is to be shunned upon and locked away.... Big yikes.

Ariadne is more of a collateral damage imo: if on one hand she did betray her father and her country for the love of Theseus, that same love is the source of all her later misfortune since the man does not only abandon her but, according to various interpretations, she leave her for dead or mortally wounded once she's no longer useful to him, so... Yeah, she got what she deserved I guess.

Since the Labyrinth was the closest thing he could call home, I believe it's p legit of him trying to defend it from strangers.

Also, I don't think any of the guys that were sent there were up for friendly conversation, since ya know, the war and the whole "sacrifice" thing... Not to mention Asterion couldn't starve himself to death either, so it's p obvious how things were bound to end (even if I believe he was forced to eat human flesh to survive since nobody cared about him once he got yeeted down there and I don't think he had much of a choice at this point).

So yeah, he acts aggressively defensive by default since most (if not all) of his contact with people ended p badly for him, thus I think it's gonna take a while to get him to open up, but once you get him away from his abusive home, show him some basic human decency and maybe give him some healthier coping mechanisms (or bring him straight to therapy lol) I'm sure he can get better and leave his past behind to start a new life with someone who loves him for who he really is, no more hiding nor being shames for just existing.

Long story short, go take care of the beefy lad sis, he needs all the love you can give him (and maybe more), I support yous!! 💕💕
