being completely honest, nothing makes me as uncomfortable as the overall fandom attitude towards the Evanuris and Vallaslin. like idk guys, you see something that’s a direct rip off from indigenous face tattoos and you aren’t immediately beyond words uncomfortable about it??? like that they took something from indigenous cultures, bipoc and jewish experiences and decided to do THAT out of all things?

yeah yeah Solas might as well be lying, we don’t know, but that is pretty much the official statement of the developers about elven culture and whenever i see white people in the fandom running amok with it like it’s nothing, it makes my skin crawl
