with every refugee fundraiser i share with every video i see of a us-sponsored and funded war crime with every sentence i hear or read from kamala harris, i become more and more sickened by the fascists who have made themselves at home in our government. the democratic candidate for president is running on policies that will increase police funding increase border control increase arrests and deportations of immigrants increase military funding and promise "unwavering commitment" to funding and supplying and endorsing a state which commits unbelievably cruel war crimes with absolute impunity. a state which uses the hannibal directive and dahiya doctrine without hesitation because it knows it will continue to be propped up by the most oppressive and omnipresent military force in the world. you may believe the republican option is worse and i understand why you do but i encourage you to ask yourself how many people you are willing to sacrifice to the imperial war machine so that you can have your own rights at home. foreign policy is not some abstract that will never affect us, not just because what we do overseas will always eventually come back to roost. but also because the vote you cast and the support and fealty you lend to a politician makes you an accomplice to their actions in office. a seemingly lesser fascist is still a fascist. if you believe you can push her left then do it. show, don't tell. show me that she is a fascist who can be changed, especially since her opponent is stupid and soon-to-be senile while she is fully cognizant of her actions and believes them to be just. show me that she is not going to continue to be a genocidaire, even when a founding trustee of the heritage foundation endorsed her and even when she has raised money for israel since childhood. i grew up under george w bush and i do not want to vote for someone who reminds me so much of him. i want her to be different but she has not given me a single reason to believe that may be the case.
