âHey, sorry, I didn´t mean to scare youâ The tall teen said to you with a soft smile on his face, you had not noticed he had been talking to you for the past minutes, too deep into your own thoughts about how some hours ago Agatha had been released from Wandaâs spell, some hours ago in which Agatha had been thinking that you were her wife, it looked like the older witch did not remember any of the past three years, and Agatha not remembering anything made you feel a pang of sadness to your heart, you had wished at least that during the moments she had been nice and caring towards you she would be able to remember something.
You were going to miss so much the times in which she actually seemed to care about you, and you felt guilty for that, you knew very well Agatha did not like you like that, she just tolerated you because you have proven to her your loyalty, but it had never been enough and would never be.
âItâs alright, I am sorry, I am not so used to people touching me out of nowhereâ You replied back at him while you made sure the cups and the table were in order, the teen in front of you tilted his head to the side a little and looked at you with curious eyes.
âWhat did you ask me again? Sorryâ You asked him again, clearing your throat a little, it was a little bit uncomfortable to be under someone elseâs gaze, you were also letting him know that he could ask again whatever he had inquired.
âOh yes! I was just asking how come you were living here with Agatha while she was under the spell and you wereâŚnotâ He asked you carefully, he could see that whatever had happened was a touchy subject for you.
He still remembered the way Agatha had told you how she thought you had disappeared out of her life for real half an hour ago and then she just left the hall and went upstairs to do god knows what, you had been kind enough to help him untie him out of the rope and helped him to get out of the closet.
âThank you by the way, for untying meâ He said chucking, he could see you were kind and nice, and was really curious about what you were doing with Agatha.
You stopped to think about the past three years and about 7 months, the way Wanda had trapped you under her mind control, giving you the role of Agnesâ wife, you remembered everything perfectly because even from the first 4 months of just watching everything from the inside as if you were on a tv show and being controlled by Wandaâs mind, you were also conscious, living everything without actually having a chance to do something, it had been a weird experience, but what was also one of the weirdest things, was that you had not felt pain nor anything unlike the other residents of âWestviewâ that had claimed they were terrorized, you had not felt any type of pain during the months you were controlled, that had been what you assumed to be the first months, because one day you just woke up and what shocked you was that you actually were able to move as you wanted.
The teen cleared his throat softly and you came back to the present again, ready to answer his question.
âWell, I am not sure, I mean, one day I woke up not being able to control myself, following Wandaâs schedule, playing the role she had given to me which had been being Agnesâ wifeâ You felt your face getting warmer at the mention of your role.
âAnd then suddenly I was able to move on my own, I was able to actually went where I wanted, I donât know. Then Agnes, or well, Agatha came to me to tell me she had released me from Wandaâs mind control and that I was in debt with her, so she âhiredâ me to pay my debt to her with some things, so I just stayed, I felt like I really had a debt with her, you know?â You were such a liar, you knew very well you had stayed because you liked so much the older witch that you wanted to get her approval and get her to like you, so you stayed with her to help her and do whatever she had wanted.
âThen you know, Wandaâs hex was destroyed, I am not sure how and I still donât know, but the next day Agatha seemed to be a completely different person and claimed to be named Agnes, and well, I couldnât let her alone, you know? She needed help, I helped her the way I couldâ
You brushed your shoulders trying to act nonchalant, you just hoped he believed you, because you had stayed with her because of the feelings you had developed for Agatha, and when she actually thought you were her wife and the way she actually treated you or her character âAgnesâ had treated you had made you fell harder for the older woman, even though you always tried and made sure not to cross any boundaries because you were aware that was not what Agatha had wanted and you wanted to actually respect her, you never initiated any type of physical contact, she would only hug you and give you soft kisses from time to time, or more like, Agnes had given them to you, but you never actually took advantage of that, you always made sure she was fine, listening to her, to the different ideas and plots her mind had created, always making sure she was fine.
The dark-haired boy nodded slowly and seemed to be analyzing you, so in order for him to stop looking at you so weird you decided to change the subject.
âI also wanted to make sure SeĂąor Scratchy would be fineâ You told him and went towards one of the couches in the living room to take the fluffy bunny in your arms, bringing him close to the teen so he could see the bunny closer.
âHe is so sweet; can I pet him?â He asked you and you sighed, relieved that he seemed to have forgotten the subject of how you knew Agatha, you nodded and passed the bunny over to him after caressing his little ears.
âHe is really sweet, never bites, and he loves to snuggle against peopleâ You proudly said remembering all the times you had spent at night on the couch hugging the bunny closer to you or the times when you had been sad and cried alone laying on the biggest couch and feeling the bunny climbing up and snuggling against your arms, you would always hug him and pet him lovingly.
âHe would be an amazing service bunnyâ You jokingly said and the teen laughed, he was petting his ears and saying how cute the bunny was.
You heard footsteps coming from the stairs and quickly straightened yourself, brushing your hair with your hands to make sure you looked decent for Agatha, you did not notice the teen saw the way you were making sure you looked fine, and he internally laughed, he was sure you liked the older woman but would not comment about it.
Agatha came down wearing sunglasses and a hat, her style always so elegant and so beautiful, she really knew how to dress, you quickly looked back at your clothes, hoping they were enough.
âI see you made yourself useful and helped our guest hereâ She said to you while eying the teen, her eyes peeking from the top of her sunglasses.
You tried to ignore the comment and just nodded; the teen looked back at you with his eyebrows furrowed together.
âSo, are we going to gather our coven?â The teen asked out loud and you went to take Mr.Scratchy from his arms, taking the bunny carefully and making sure the little fluffy ball knew how good he was, Agatha had put her glasses back and thought no one was watching her, so she decided to eye you while you were entertained petting the little bunny, she felt her heart skipping  a beat at the sight, she had always loved the way you were so gentle not only with Mr.Scratchy but with animals in general, you were always so kind that it actually started to make her feel things, which was absurd, because how could someone like you actually make her feel something, it was obviously the fake memories Wanda had implanted on her head, there was no other explanation, she huffed and quickly went to look back at the teen.
âYeah, whatever, letâs meet our covenâ Agatha said with feigned excitement, she turned around and you quickly went to place Mr.Scratchy on the carpet, the teen turned himself around and looked at you with a smile.
âYou can help me choose the music weâll play in the car, I have a variety of songs in my playlist and I also have cdâs if you prefer themâ The dark-haired boy said with excitement, and you felt happy to be included in what seemed to be really serious, you came to stand next to the teen when Agatha quickly turned herself with a frown on her face and walked back towards the two of you.
âWhoa, whoa, wait a minute, who told you she could come?â The older witch had felt suddenly a wave of worry taking over her, you were not supposed to be part of that, how would you even be safe? You were not even a witch! She pushed really hard the feeling away and again said to herself it was only the fake memories and fake feelings Wanda had planted in her.
âBut I can helpâ You said eagerly, trying to let her know you would be useful, trying to get her approval one more time.
Agatha felt conflicted, she should not even care about you wanting to come, the more the better, if someone died on the road, no one would care! Everyone had to carry on, and continue to keep on walking down the road, but still, deep down, if something really happened to you, she was not sure what could happen, Agatha did not even want to actually think of something happening to you, but why did she care so much? You were no one to her.
âYou are only going to slow us downâ Agatha replied looking at you with her arms crossed on her chest, trying to see if maybe you would just agree on not going.
âNo wait, I can be useful, you know? I can help you, all of you, just like I have been helpingâ You said hopeful, trying so hard to convince Agatha to let you join them, you saw the way she pursed her lips and suddenly you felt the same way you used to feel all those months you had passed with her again during Wandaâs hex, your mind going for a moment back to the past, the way she would say a comment that would make you feel bad or how she looked at you when you were too pushy on something, so you quickly lowered your gaze to look at the floor.
Agatha was thinking, too much, many different thoughts coming and going, if she let you go, she would be risking your life, if not many witches survived the road, what could happen to you? You could die and then, she would never get to see you again, her heart was beating so loud she was afraid the teen or you could actually hear her beating heart.
But now that the Salem seven were also behind her, she was powerless, and had no ways to actually do something if you were magically attacked, what would she be able to do?
âYou are not even a witchâ The way Agatha said that to you, with so much disdain, and making you feel less and not enough made you feel a pang of pain in your heart, you were not used to her mean comments anymore, sure when Wanda was still around and you were helping Agatha the comments and mean actions were common, but during those three years she had been âAgnesâ you had not received any of those, so even now that you were aware and you knew she would make comments like that again, still it shocked you to hear them actually coming from her mouth, hearing them from the woman you loved so much made you want to cry.
Agatha noticed the way your shoulders tensed, and saw the way for a moment an expression full of pain and disappointment was visible on your face, you quickly went to hide and tried to compose yourself, you thought no one would notice it, but she did, you had been so many years with her that it was something she had picked up from you from the start, your small antics that made you so special, but she was not going to say anything about that.
The teen could not actually believe how even after those years that you had been there taking care of her, Agatha still could treat you like that! It was visible for him that you were head over heels for that woman and yet you tolerated the way she spoke to you, he felt bad for you but also, he did not want to intrude.
The blue-eyed witch felt like she did not know what to do, the only logical way for her to make you not go was the way she knew, the way she was used to, and that was how she was acting, but the sad look on your face and how you were not even looking at her made her for a second think twice what she was doing.
âFine! Whatever but if you die I am not making a funeralâ Agatha quickly said and rolled her eyes turning herself around to start walking to the door, she hated feeling nervous and actually worried for someone else, she had been alone for centuries, never having to look after some else, only looking after her, and then you came, with your sweet smile, kind words and actions, making sure she had what she needed and always tending for her needs, her sweet y/n, but there was no way, you had to know any of that.
Slowly you lifted your head to look at the teen and finally the two of you smiled, you tried to ignore Agathaâs comment, she always said something like that, so you tried not to take it personally, but still it hurt you to hear that.
You realized Agatha had already stepped out of the house.
âWe better hurry, Agatha doesnât like waiting for too longâ You said to him and he nodded instantly, the two of you went out and you quickly locked the door, starting to walk behind the teen, following him, you saw Agatha standing next to the car looking at her reflection on the window.
The teen went quickly to open the doors and he went to enter the car to start the engine.
After making sure the three of you were already inside the car the teen smiled at you through the mirror.
âDo you want to play some music?â He inquired while turning the engine on and you were about to say yes but noticed the way Agatha was looking at you through the mirror as well, she had her eyes frowned and decided not to annoy her.
âNo, uhm, itâs alright, I mean, whatever you want, donât worryâ You replied back and went to look through the window, trying to avoid their gazes, the teen did not say anything else and started to drive slowly waiting for Agatha to give instructions, but Agatha was too immersed looking at you through the mirror, she was analyzing your expression, the way you seem not to want to cause her any trouble, even going against your own wishes, how could you put her first? Your beautiful face looking at the window, looking at the street and the houses you were passing through, how could you make her feel things she had not felt in centuries?
âWhere to Agatha?â The boy asked her directly and she quickly turned her head to look at him.
âKeep driving Iâll tell you when to turn and where to stopâ She announced and looked at the path ahead, during the ride Agatha could not keep her eyes off you, looking at you through the mirror, and feeling her heart beat faster at the way your expression tended to change, she was still worried, how would she be able to make sure nothing happened to you?
When you were about to turn your head to look at the other side Agatha quickly turned to look at the other direction so that you would not notice she had been looking at you.
âWait, stop! You already passed the shop!â Agatha quickly said and the teen had to abruptly stop.
âOh my godâ He said grabbing with a strong grip the steering wheel.
âAre you alright?â The teen asked while looking at you through the mirror and when Agatha saw the way he looked worried she turned her head hastily to look at you, you were grabbing your seatbelt with both of your hands and you just nodded, she sighed in relief seeing you had not hurt yourself.
âWho taught you how to drive?â Agatha said with an annoyed look on her face after the teen made sure to park where the shop was located a few meters behind and finally went to unlock the door to get out of the car.Â
The boy and you looked at each other still inside the car, Agatha was already outside walking towards the entrance of the building.
âIs she serious?â The dark-haired boy asked you directly and you only laughed a little bit while slowly nodding.
âDonât mind her, she doesnât mean itâ You said to him and you proceeded to also get out of the car, the teen did the same and the two of you started to walk alongside towards the waiting older witch.
âTook you long enoughâ Agatha commented while accommodating her hat.

Getting to know Lilia had been interesting to say the least, the interaction with her made you aware of how Agatha was perceived amongst the other witches, and got you thinking about her and her actions, for you it was not possible that Agatha could be really that selfish right? Could it be true every single thing that was said about her? Maybe other people did not like it, but for you she was just maybe, misunderstood, she was smart, amazing, a beautiful woman, or maybe, just maybe was your heart dictating your brain what to think.
Agatha had been carefully watching you whenever Lilia said something about her, whenever Lilia reminded her of what other witches thought about her, her past hunting her again, and the way you seemed to be so deep in thought about everything you have heard, made her heart ache with pain, she did not want you to believe all of those things, she did not want you to become afraid of her, but just as she had never actually care for someone in so much time, she didn´t know what to do.
âSo, weâre at the mall, where to?â The teen asked with a smile on his face, you stopped walking and waited for Agatha to give instructions.
âJust follow me, it is not too far awayâ The blue-eyed witch said while starting to walk again, Billy looked at you and you only shrugged your shoulders, the two of you started to follow Agatha from behind.
After entering a shop on the second floor you frowned, where were they supposed to find a witch in there? You were about to ask the teen when you felt someone pushing you hard and losing your balance you fell to the floor, your hand colliding first on the cold floor making you wince in pain, Agatha quickly noticed that and quickly walked closer to you, she got worried thinking you had hurt yourself but when you started to get up the floor so quickly she did not get time to act as if she was not looking carefully at you, you stood up and were surprised to see Agatha standing there in front of you, frowning you sent her a questioning look and Agatha blinked several times before realizing what she was doing and without saying anything she turned herself around to look for the teen and the witch that had tackled him, her heart beating so fast against her chest, the blue-eyed witch cleared her throat and waited for the other witch to just get fired.
You did not understand what had just happened, and Agathaâs action or whatever she had done made you confused, what had just happened?
Agatha was shaken, she could not believe she had acted on impulse, but the thought of you getting hurt made her heart feel a deep feeling of pain and fear, why did she care so much? You were nothing! Not even a witch who she could drain the powers from, you were a mortal, and that was what also made her feel even more afraid, ignoring always could help, at least thatâs what she thought would work.
You were not sure what the teen and Agatha were saying to the shorter woman, you were not interested if you were honest, too deep in your own thoughts, why had Agatha gotten closer to you? Did she want to make sure you were not hurt? For a second you heard jumped a bit, feeling warm at the mere thought of Agatha caring about you, but then you remembered how three years ago you had gotten hurt because she had got mad and she did not even turn herself around to take a look at you. You remembered that day very clearly and it made you shiver, she had been mad that day, mad because her plan was not working, mad because she couldnât understand how Wanda had created everything from scratch, how she had brought her dead husband back or how she even created her two children! She was not even close to what she wanted and your only error had been to ask if she needed help.
You winced at the memory of her words, the way she had turned herself around so fast you were afraid she would hurt herself.
âHow are you going to help me? You donât even have powers, you are not even useful, you canât get the information I have already told you to get, if you want to help, you will leaveâ Agatha had said to you and you had felt the way the tears started to fall down your face.
âYou canât be serious, I am the one who is stressed, you are fine here! I released you from the spell, you are not suffering, I gave you a chance to help me, and you are crying?â You could see Agatha getting angrier and the way her eyes started to grow purple made you afraid.
âWhy won´t you leave? I said leave!â Agatha had yelled and the next thing you knew, you had been thrown out of the room, colliding against the wall and falling onto the hard wooden floor with a hard thud, it had hurt, but it was not a unbearable pain, you had slowly stood up groaning a little and Agatha just looked at you with her eyes widened, but quickly turned herself around and walked out of the house, leaving you alone in there, you had felt awful, you wanted to think she had not made it on purpose, you had wanted to convince yourself that she had done it without thinking twice, always listening to your heart instead of your brain, always making excuses for her, and that was what ruined you, always excusing everything she said and did, loving her was sometimes hard, but you couldnât stop the feeling.
âAre you hungry?â A hand on your shoulder made you jump slightly taking you back to the present, you blinked several times only to realize you were on the food court of the mall, when had you gotten there?Â
âNot reallyâ You answered the teen and smiled at him, he nodded and when you saw Agatha you noticed she was looking at you again with that unreadable expression on her face, she quickly lifted her hand to scratch her eyebrow slightly and turned herself around to walk towards a free table to seat there. The way you always jumped slightly whenever someone touch you out of nowhere made her also feel worried, what had happened to you? She really wanted to know but she did not have the courage to ask you out loud.
Agathaâs gaze made you feel a little bit weirded out because, she had never looked at you that way, was she analyzing you? thinking you were just a bother? You had many ideas running through your head, so many bad things that she could be thinking about you so you decided to just take your phone out to start scrolling whatever you could find.
You were trying so hard to focus on something else trying not to mind Agatha and when the teen asked what she wanted to eat and the two of them went to order their food you decided to take that little time to go to the nearest bathroom to wash your face. You still couldnât understand why Agatha was looking at you in such a weird way, you never knew what she could be thinking or what her next move could be, so you only hoped for the best, feeling the cold water on your face relaxed you a little, you tried to lessen the tension on your shoulders and finally when you dried your face you decided it was time to go back to the two people you had come with, what you had not expecting was Agatha and the teen standing there in front of the table you had chosen and looking everywhere around the place, Agatha seemed to be tense, the way her shoulders seemed to tense just as she was speaking to the teen as if she was scolding him but you were not sure why.
Slowly you made your way to them, trying not to interrupt the conversation they were having in order not to bother Agatha, you did not want to make her angry at you.
After making sure you were centimeters away from them, you were able to hear what was the older witch and the teen talking about.
âYou could have made sure she stayed here! Why couldnât you watch where she went to?â Agatha sounded pissed but you were not understanding what was going on.
âI went with you to pay for the food! How was I supposed to know she would be leaving?â The teen had lifted his hands up in the air, not knowing what to do.
You cleared your throat to announce yourself and the two of them quickly turned themselves to look at you, when Agatha saw you, she felt relieved, she had felt her heart would stop at any minute trying to figure out where had you gone or if you had finally decided you wanted to leave her and be free, she had thought the worst, had you finally realized she was not a good person? That she was actually a wicthkiller and she was not capable of loving? She almost cried feeling desperate not knowing where you had gone, and seeing you there back again in front of her, made her feel at peace, she had wanted to hug you but again, she suppressed that feeling and only sighed.
âYou know you could have said where you were going?â Agatha quickly commented while turning around to finally take a seat, she started to eat her corndog nonchalantly as if she had not just blamed the teen for losing you out if their sight and almost crying at the thought of you leaving, the teen was trying so hard not to laugh so he took the seat next to Agatha and brought the cup he had on the table to his lips, covering his grin.
You did not understand what had just happened or why she seemed so annoyed that you had left for some minutes, so deciding not to comment nor say anything you sat down on the seat in front of Agatha and the teen.
The older witch started to eat nonchalantly as if nothing had happened and the teen proceeded to do the same, you did not find anything to do so you just decided to keep doing what you had been doing on your phone, there was not much to do, you still had to wait for them to finish eating and then you had to still look for the other witches to complete the coven.
Your mind wandered back to a few hours ago, when you had heard Lilia saying random names of tarot cards, you had studied a little bit of tarot a while ago, and from what you knew, the first card Lilia had said out of nowhere had been Ace of cups, what did you remember about ace of cups? It had to do with new beginnings, right? Something about new relationships, what else? A card alone could have many different meanings, cards also have to be paired to have a more specific meaning, right? What other cards had Lilia said? Six of cups and two of cups, the meaning could also depend on the deck and also the context of course, what did you remember about the six of cups card?Â
It had to do with nostalgia? You tried to think harder, and yes you remembered! It also had to do with the past, in certain cases that could mean the past could come back somehow, revisiting some past memories? You were not sure, the meaning of that was the one you remembered the most, it had to do with partnership, creating a union, union of forces, could it be the coven reuniting and forming a union? You were not sure and tried not to think about it too much, you just wanted to remember what the cards could mean.
The last card Lilia had mentioned had been the lovers and that card could have just as every other tarot card a different meaning depending on the context, so it would be too risky to jump into any conclusions even though you wished deeply for that card to have a good meaning for you and a certain blue-eyed witch, Agatha noticed the way you seemed to be thinking a lot, the way you unconsciously tended to bite your lower lip while you were too focused on whatever you were thinking, it was an habit she had noticed since you started living with her when Wanda was still around, even if she never allowed herself to say it out loud, she had picked up almost all of your gestures, expressions and even antics, and could only wondered why you looked to be so worried.
The next stop all of you made was on the shop of the famous social media influencer Jennifer Kale, you felt nervous getting to be near someone as famous as her who had so many followers, the teen seemed to be excited due to his bouncy state.
âAren´t you excited?â The boy asked you with a huge smile on his face, you nodded slightly letting him know that you were feeling the same, Agatha eyed you a little, she was walking behind you and noticed you shifting a little, showing that you were feeling nervous, it was something you used to do all the time when feeling stressed or nervous, moving your legs a little or passing your hands various times through your hair to soothe yourself, during those three years she would caress your hair a little to help you feel at ease, but right now, she could not get herself to do it .
You still did not understand why Agatha kept staring at you with such a weird look that you did not understand, so you only decided not to engage too much into their conversation with Jennifer, and only stood next to the teen.
・ Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś â Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś ・Ë
The way Agatha had ripped the teen´s decoration to welcome the witches made you feel a little bit bad for him, but you knew Agatha was feeling stressed, you even felt stressed because you did not know what would be waiting for you on the road, and it also made you feel scared.
âHeyâ You said softly to Agatha with a frown on your face, she quickly looked back at you and felt surprised for your reaction.
âIt looked nice, he did it with his own hands, I gave him the sheets of paper and the markers, it was prettyâ Agatha blinked several times and when she saw the way you had stretched out for her to give her back the decoration Agatha did not think twice and handed it to you.
The teen was smirking and when Agatha saw him, she only rolled her eyes at him and walked into the other room, leaving you and him to keep on doing what you had planned.
âHow did you do that?â The dark-haired boy had a big smirk on his face, and you only shrugged your shoulders not understanding what he meant, so you only gave to him back what he had made and helped him to put it back on the wall.
âThat looks niceâ A voice behind you commented and you turned yourself around to look at the woman who had arrived.
âHe made itâ You replied smiling softly at the potion´s witch and she returned the smile, even if you had not spoked with her that much, she could see you were nice.
âThank you for comingâ The boy looked at her with a big smile. Lilia arrived secondly and you greeted her happily, waving your hand at her, she did the same to you and the boy offered them a snack, you were not sure where he had gotten them, but decided not to ask, Agatha could not have given them to him, right?
âHiâ The woman with the red strands of hair arrived, she had her hands on her pockets and you smiled at her as well.
âSorry for tackling youâ Alice said to the teen and then looked at you.
âSorry for making you fall as wellâ Smiling you laughed out loud.
âIt´s alright, it was not that bad, don´t worryâ Alice nodded and shily looked at the floor.
âWhat type of witch are you?â Jennifer suddenly asked you and you quickly shook your head.
âOh, no, I am not a witch I am just here helping Agathaâ You replied with a smile on your face, the three witches looked at each other with a confused look, they did not understand how could someone be happy helping Agatha, you seemed too nice to be working with her.
Before anyone could make more questions, Agatha appeared again, entering the living room dressed completely different, she really looked amazing with that coat on her.
âAlright, let´s walk the roadâ The new coven started to walk towards Agatha´s basement and you decided to go grab Mr. Scratchy to put him in a safe place, the teen followed you to get him back onto his large cage to get him safe, you two were too concentrated on making sure the bunny was fine that you did not get to hear the conversation about them needing a green witch, you did not even notice when Agatha left the house and came back with Mrs. Davis behind her.
âAlright, we are all setâ The teen nodded and walked back to one of the couches to seat in there, you decided you would go the basement to see how else you could help Agatha with.
・ Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś â Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś ・Ë
âYou canât be hereâ Agatha quickly said to you making sure the other witches were not listening, she had guided you towards the stairs of her basement to let you know you were not allowed to be in her basement, at least not right now, she did not even know what could happen and deep down the fear was taking over her again, she feared something could really happen to you, and if you got hurt, she would never forgive herself, but how could she let you know that without making a fuss of her own emotions? Without actually saying out loud what she felt?
Your confused look made you look so pretty, why were you so kind to her even after everything she had done? You were too pure and yet you wanted to help her.
âBut then how am I going to help?â You asked her, completely confused on why Agatha was telling you not be there with them, the older woman didn´t want you to get hurt, she did not even know what was going to happen and she could not risk you getting hurt.
âListen, I know you want to help, but remember, the only ones who can open the door are witches, so, you would be more helpful if you go back and stay with the boy and wait for me to give you more instructions, alright?â She was trying so hard to convince you to go back and was hoping that you would accept quickly, she was sure you still had not even noticed about the weird entities wanting to get her, and you were also completely oblivious to the fact that her former lover had also paid her a visit, so she really needed for her and her new âcovenâ to get through this as fast as possible.
âAlrightâ You said to her and Agatha felt relieved you understood quickly.
She made sure you closed the door behind you and went back to the circle.
âWhat a beautiful wife and helping wife you have Agathaâ Mrs. Davis commented, she remembered you and her being on Wanda´s hex and from time to time she also saw you going to the grocery store or just walking down the street during those past three years, of course the woman did not know what had happened.
All of the other witches hastily turned their heads to look at Agatha with a shocked expression on their faces, how was it possible that Agatha had a wife?
Agatha laughed nervously and tried to act as if that comment had not meant anything to her.
âHow did you get her to be your wife? Do you have it under some kind of spell?â Jennifer asked with a smirk on her face, how could it be possible? Agatha pursed her lips not wanting to give explanations.
âWell Jennifer, unlike you I can actually get someone who wants to be with me, not magic involved, are you jealous?â The smirk on Agatha´s face made Jennifer feel her blood boiling and Lilia sensed the tension.
âWe are not here to discuss anyone´s love life, we have a goal in common ladiesâ The Sicilian witch tried to reason with them, not wanting for a fight to start.
âYeah, maybe you can give us some tips laterâ Alice commented while raising her eyebrows and nodding slowly, Lilia turned her head to look at her with her left eyebrow raised.
âWhat?â Alice did not understand the look on the curly haired witch.
Upstairs, you went back to sit next to the boy, and looked at you with a concerned expression on his face.
âAgatha told me to come wait here with youâ He tilted his head and looked at you carefully.
âWe can play a card game in the meantime if you want, I have the Uno game card, I mean it is only the two of us, but,-â
âSure, I love board and card games, so let´s playâ He interrupted you, he loved card games and always was eager to play one with people he liked, he was sure you and him could be great friends.Â
・ Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś â Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś ・Ë
You looked at Agatha standing herself from the water slide, the way she had not let you get cut your skin with the knife, she had taken the teenâs hand to get the blood they needed, the way she had seen so reluctant to actually cut you with the knife when you had offered yourself, the way she quickly snapped back and said no to you, or how she had taken the glass of wine out of your hands, she had not allowed you to drink from the poisoned wine, claiming only true witches were allowed to drink, but those little actions made your heart flutter with happiness, maybe she really cared about you? Maybe she actually felt something nice towards you? You were beyond happy, finally Agatha was showing something else towards you than just annoyance and that made you feel a lot better.
Agatha felt on edge, she was making sure you would not hurt yourself, but you were making it hard for her, really hard, when she saw you with the glass on your hands, her heart beat so faster that she thought it was going to get out of her ribcage, you almost drank the wine because you had been joking around the teen, she was not sure what you two were laughing about, and her heart felt warm at the sight, but when she saw you were about to take a sip, she had lost her composure for a minute, she had not cared if the others saw her, you were more important to her than anything else or what other people could think, she ran towards you and snatched the glass from your hands, everyone looked at her with wide eyes including you and she only said something mean to cover her real feelings and her beating heart.
You and Billy had only looked at each other with a confused look and just brushed what had happened off, Agatha always did something like that.
Agatha felt he heart skip a beat not long after the wine incident, you had offered your own hand to get the blood they needed, wanting to help, always willing to help whoever was in need, and again she did not understand how you were not afraid, she was not going to cut your skin, there was no way she would hurt you like that, so she quickly took the teenâs hand and cut his skin, she gave you a quick look with a weird expression you had not seen before, Agatha was stressed, how would she be able to help you and take care of you when you were putting yourself in such dangerous situations!?
Agatha felt relieved for a moment, you had gotten out of the trial without a scratch, you were safe, you were still there in front of her, until the teen and you started to explore the path a little too far away, Alice was saying something about a way to get Mrs. Davis out of the road, to keep her safe, but Agatha was not listening anymore, her eyes squinting to look at the two of you trying to take some orange leaves from the path, but when she saw the way your foot had tripped over she felt her heart skipping a beat again, her worried face showed what she was actually feeling, not daring to hide her emotions, the blue-eyed witch ran off to where you had fallen on the mud as quick as she could.
You had been trying to reach for a weird shaped leave on the path outside the actual road to show it to the teen but the next thing you knew you were fighting to walk out of the pool of mud that seemed to engulf you more and more as the seconds passed, you felt the teen grabbing you by your hands, trying to push you back over to the road, but it was not working, he was doing everything he could until he felt a body pushing him to the side, a strong pair of arms circled your waist and in less than a second, you were released from the mud, you lifted your head to see the blue-eyed woman looking worriedly at you, she took your face in her hands, checking for any type of wounds and when you were about to throw yourself at her to hug her, she quickly turned herself around to walk back towards the other witches.
You felt confused? What had just happened, so you decided to follow Agatha from behind until you reached her when she was closer to her coven, even if you were scared of her reaction, you stretched your hand out to touch her shoulder.
âAgatha?â You asked in a small voice, and Agatha turned herself around to look at you, the way her blue eyes for a minute turned purple and the way her eyebrows were furrowed aggressively, made you feel small.
âYou should not even be here! You are not a witch! You are nothing!â Agatha quickly pressed her hand over her mouth, she had not wanted for that to happen, she had not meant what had come out of her mouth, she did not mean any of what she had said, but the way you had put yourself in danger already three times and being careless to get outside the path, that you had almost drowned in the mud made her feel even more powerless, she did not have her magic, she was useless! How would she be able to actually save you from a magical threat or even from the Salem seven! She had snapped out of fear and stress, but she did not actually mean what she had said.
Too late, she thought when she noticed your beautiful eyes getting glossy, and the way you looked down at the floor, her heart ached so much looking at you this way, she would have loved to pull you closer to her and hug you but she couldnât get herself to actually do it.
You felt guilty for missing âAgnesâ the way she treated you with respect, the way she made you feel seen and showered you with gifts and compliments, the way she hugged you when she noticed you were feeling under the weather.
Of course, you felt guilty because, âAgnesâ was not even real, it was an illusion, something Wanda had created, only playing a role she was assigned to play along, âAgnesâ had been just an illusion, a dream! A beautiful dream that you could not help but miss, it had been three years of you sharing your life with âAgnesâ and even if she was under a spell, you actually saw the cracks of her actual self, her real personality, some times it was more noticeable but the only thing that actually differed from âAgnesâ and Agatha was their way they treated you. Even if you knew the way âAgnesâ had treated you had been just something she had to play under the spell, you could not help but wish that Agatha would treat you some day like that, hoping to get her to like you at least, you wanted her to love you the same way you loved her, why had you been doomed to love the person who did not even like you at all?
Even if you had lived three years with her, it only had felt like a short period of time, you had spent so many time loving her, waiting for her to reciprocate your feelings for real, but at this point, you knew it would never happen, and you would only love her forever even if you did not want to, because, how on earth could you actually stop loving her?Â
Agatha could not stand the state you were in, she had caused this, she had hurt you, again, she did not deserve you, she would never deserve you, you would only get more and more hurt with her by your side, how could you still be there with her?
You knew Agatha very well, or at least that was what you thought, but did you really?
The three years you had passed with her, you had thought you had got to know her entirely, you had let yourself think that maybe if you were patient enough with her, gave her enough space, the space she needed, the time she needed to open up, she would realize slowly that she could trust you, and then she would magically realize you loved her completely and that you would do anything for her, hoping she would return one day your feelings, but just as you still could hear her screaming at you, you felt so stupid, still holding onto a stupid daydream and feeling that would never happen,
You loved her so much it was ruining your life and even though you knew that very well, you were sure you would not stop doing it.
Lilia noticed the tension between you and her, well, everyone noticed the tension, but no one dared to move or say something, too afraid to make everything worse, the teen was mad, he could not understand why Agatha treated you the way she did, when the only thing you wanted was to help her and make sure she was fine, you had stayed with her for three years! Taking care of her making sure she would be fine! How could Agatha be so selfish? How could she not be grateful for once in her life? He couldnât take it anymore, you were one of the kindest people he had gotten to know, and the way she treated you and said mean things to you had to change, he started to walk towards the two of you to face Agatha and help her to get some sense into that thick skull of hers, Lilia noticed the boy walking with an angry expression on his face, the way his hands had formed into fists and knew that would end up even worse, the divination witch turned her face to quickly look at Jenn and Alice and as if they had understood the two witches nodded at her and Lilia took this chance to quickly stand up and walk as fast as she could towards the fuming teen to stop him.
Lilia put her hand on his shoulder and placed herself in front of him, to stop him from going farther and looked at him straight into his eyes.
The dark-haired boy frowned, confusion all over his face, but Lilia only shook her head, as if telling him not to do what he had in mind.
âLetâs give them time, I can sense your intentions are good, but we cannot interfere, I hate the way that poor girl is treated but we cannot interfere right nowâ The boy nodded slowly, trying to clear his head, maybe Lilia was right, but he still hated seeing you so sad.
âI will take the girl to have a chat with her, you stay here and make sure Agatha takes back that poor woman back to her home, alright?â Lilia patted his shoulder and turned back herself to get closer to you and Agatha, you were still looking down to the floor, crying silently, Agatha was looking at you not moving, just stuck there in front of you with some tears falling from her face, Lilia came next to you and placed her left hand on your shoulder, in a slow way and making sure she made sound in order to alert you that someone was behind you and getting closer to you, she had noticed the way you tended to tense when someone got too closer too you without alerting first and when someone touched you without letting you know before, so she did not want to cause you more distress, it made her feel content, that she did not startle you.
âLetâs take a walk alright sweetheart?â You nodded and slowly turned yourself around to start walking never taking your eyes off the floor, Lilia saw the way you started to walk slowly and went back to look at Agatha.
âIâm going to make sure sheâs fine, please take Sharon back to her home, we donât need more innocent people getting hurtâ Agatha nodded quickly and hastily wiped the tears off her face, Lilia gave her a soft smile before turning her body around and walked towards you, she then placed her hand again on your shoulder and gave it a soft squeeze, that action comforted you, and you made a mental note to thank her for that later. Lilia and you walked next to each other, the older and gentle woman never letting go of your shoulder, you walked in silence for some minutes, until you reached a tall tree with some tree-trunks on the floor, Lilia guided you to them and made you take a seat on one of them, she sat to your right and took your hands in hers, feeling her warm hands made you feel your eyes getting glossy again, she was comforting you and it made your heart warm.
âOh, sweet girl, why do you keep suffering in silence?â The Sicilian witch asked you with a worried expression on her face, you didnât dare to lift your face, keeping your eyes on the floor, too ashamed to look at her.
You felt a hand on your chin and Lilia lifted your face to look into your eyes.
âYou don´t have to suffer alone, I know you don´t have magic, but that doesn´t mean you are not part of this coven, yes, it is a little messy coven, gathered on the last hour, but still a coven, and you are part of this coven, you trust in me, Alice and Jenn, I know all of us are wary of Agatha, but that doesn´t mean we feel the same towards you, you are nice, kind, and have such a pretty smile that can be contagious, I now you and Agatha are not together, and I know there is much more between you and her, I see you have a deep love for her, a love that is hurting you, so tell me, what´s going on?â Lilia spoke with such a soft tone that made you feel safe, the way she had referred to you as being part of the coven made you feel happy, you felt like you could trust in her, so you decided to do it and tell her how you had met Agatha and how you had slowly fell in love with her, Lilia never let go of your hands, caressing the back of your hands with so much delicacy that it made you feel warm on the inside.
âI still don´t know why she hates me so much, I don´t get it, I thought I would be able to make her like me at least, but she doesn´t even tolerate me, I know she doesn´t care, she always makes sure to say it out loud, but why does she have to be so mean? I know maybe I should not love her the way I do, not after everything she has done, but I cannot make myself stop the feeling, I love her and I hate the way loving her makes me feelâ Lilia listened to you carefully, making sure not to interrupt you, she did not think Agatha did not care about you, she saw the way the blue-eyed witch had ran off towards you, she saw the desperate state Agatha had been when she saw you almost drowning in the mud, she saw the way she had hesitated to cut your skin, but hadn´t had any problem using the knife on the teen, Lilia was a very observant woman and was aware of how Agatha always looked at you and watched you carefully since all of you had arrived at the road.
She knew Agatha cared for you, deeply, but the way she treated you made you see the contrary and also made Lilia wondered the reason of her cold treatment towards you but the immense care she felt for you when you were not looking, Lilia was not dumb, and neither any of the other witches, even the teen noticed the way Agatha looked at you from time to time when she thought no one was looking, but her actions demonstrated the contrary, and the only one who could show you and let you know the truth to stop the pain you had in you was the same person who inflicted the pain on you, Agatha had to be the one to talk properly with you, but Lilia was not even sure if Agatha would do it, the purple witch was stubborn and sarcastic, and listened to no one but herself, so trying to talk to her would not even work.
âListen dear, I´ve seen some things, I have lived for centuries, and I can assure you, Agatha just does not know how to express herself correctly, I am not making excuses for her, no, the way she treats you is not correct, and it makes me feel angry at her for causing pain to you, but I can also see she is in pain as well, I am not the one who needs to speak about what she feels, just give her some time, and take some time for you as well, I know it is really hard right now, because we have to help each other and we are constantly together, but take some time for you and for her, you can always come to me if you feel safe, even Alice, Jenn and the boy would be more than happy to help you and make sure you are fine, alright?â You nodded, not understanding completely everything she had said, but still having her listening to you and advising you made you feel content and kept your heart warm, she gave one last squeeze to your hands and you smiled softly at her.
âSee? You have such a pretty smile, it hurts me to see you so sad sweetheartâ You laughed softly and Lilia laughed as well, your smile and laugh was really contagious.
âCan I hug you?â You liked that Lilia had asked before and you quickly nodded, you really needed a hug right now, you felt her arms surrounding you and you did the same, her hug made you feel happy and kept your heart warm, Lilia was such a kind woman, with such a beautiful soul.
You heard some footsteps getting closer in a slow way, and Lilia and you separated slowly, you wiped your face again with the sleeve of your jacket and gave her another smile.
âHeyâ You heard someone greeting in front of you, and turning your head to look at the owner of that voice you saw Alice walking slowly towards you, her hands stuck inside the pockets of her jacket, she was walking slowly while shuffling her feet against the leaves and dirt, she looked to the floor and then looked at you, trying not to intrude or make you feel uncomfortable, she came to stand in front of you and Lilia, noticing how Alice was moving her feet around the ground shily, and it made you chuckle slight.
âYou can come sit here next to meâ You patted the spot to your right and Lilia couldn´t help but smile at the interaction, Alice smiled widely and felt excited you had let her sit next to you, she took the spot right next to you making sure she did not cross any boundaries and making sure you were not uncomfortable, you noticed the way the protection witch was trying so hard not to make you feel distressed and it also warmed your heart, she even had made sure she was not touching you that much so you would not feel awkward and you smiled, you moved a little to get closer to her, your shoulders touching and Alice smiled widely at you.
âHow are you?â The protection witch asked you softly and you pressed your head against her shoulder, Alice felt happy you were comfortable with her to do that, and it made her feel joyful, she really didn't like the way you seem so sad since she saw you at the mall, waiting slowly behind Agatha and the teen.
âI am feeling better, Lilia really knows how to cheer someone upâ Lilia chuckled and Alice did the same, resting her head against yours, her hands still on her pockets.
Lilia pressed again her hand on your shoulder and brushed your arm slowly, comforting you, making you feel better. After some minutes had passed, you saw the teenager and Jenn walking slowly next to each other, when they saw you sitting between Alice and Lilia the smiled and started to walk a little bit faster.
The teen quickly came closer to you and took a seat on the ground in front of you, Jenn smiled at you as well and took the spot next to Lilia.
âSmiling fits youâ The teen commented feeling happy you didnât seem to be crying anymore.
âYou have a really pretty smile, it makes me want to smileâ Jenn said peaking her head to look at you, you seemed content and it made her feel really happy, it was a nice change, seeing you smile that way after only seeing you grimacing, confused or crying made her heart feel warm.
Agatha then appeared again, she was walking as elegant and confident as ever and when she saw you she felt happy, she felt happy seeing you smiling again, and being with the others who seemed to be supporting you made her feel happy for you, she still felt guilty but was not about to comment that, but what Agatha did not like was that you avoided looking at her while she explained they needed to summon another green witch.
All of you gathered around the spot where the area in which the ground changed colors, everyone had a flower in their hands and started to ask for the traits you wished for the new green witch you have.
You were almost at the end of the queue, Lilia to your right and Alice to your left, when your turn came, Lilia placed her hand in your back letting you know it was your turn to place the flower and wish for the trait.
âPlease let the new green witch be kindâÂ
Alice brushed her arm against you and nodded agreeing with you, Lilia gave another squeeze to your shoulder, while the teen and Jennifer smiled again at your wish.
Agatha was looking at you with a sad smile on her face, and a pang of guilty reached her heart, she had not been kind to you, what made her feel a little bit better, was the fact that the other witches have seemed to take a liking to you, she really hoped nothing happened to any of them because she wouldn´t know how you would react if you lost one of the witches who were kind enough to make sure you were alright, she feared for them and for you, a really strange feeling she was not used to.

âWhy are you so mean if you feel the same way she feels?â Rio who was asking Agatha from behind caressing her hair. Agatha quickly turned herself around to face Rio, how had she noticed? How had she figured it out? She tried to say something, something to prove that Rio was wrong, but she couldnât, she knew she could not lie to Rio, the brown-eyed woman would notice right away, and she hated that.
Rio chuckled and proceeded to take Agathaâs hands in hers, she knew that Agatha was trying hard to ignore the feelings she had been having for you, the strong and deep love she actually had for you, the immense necessity to take care of you and make sure you were alright, Rio knew that in an attempt to try and bury her own feelings, Agatha had tried to have as much contact with her while all of you kept on walking down the road, Rio knew it very well and it was not fair for you nor her.
âI know why you suddenly want to be near me so much, and itâs not fair for her and neither for me and not even fair for you, you know itâ Rio said while caressing the hands of the blue-eyed witch. Agatha started to feel guilty again and couldnât deny that what Rio was saying was true, the brown-eyed woman knew her so well, but she wanted to make sure that Rio knew her feelings for her were not an act and she genuinely still felt love for her.
âI am not lying about the way I still feel about youâ Agatha desperately said, squeezing the other womanâs hands.
Rio chuckled a little looking back at their hands intertwined and sighed deeply.
âI know, I know you still have those same feelings, we share the same feeling, but you know you are not being fair to her, I know you are saying the truth about us, butâŚâ
Rio stopped to take a deep breath again and looked back to Agathaâs face.
âYou keep denying what you feel about her and doing that and it is hurting not only her, it is also hurting youâ Rio tried to get Agatha to realize how much pain she was inflicting not only to you.
âI also have to say that I donât like the way you talk to her or treat her, she does not deserve to be treated like that Agatha, she doesnât deserve to keep being on pain because you are too afraid of your own feelingsâ Rio commented again, sounding a little harsh, of course she hated seeing you in so much pain, not getting to see that beautiful smile of yours.
âI watched the two of you while you were under Wandaâs spell, you know? You treated her so beautiful, the way she deserved to be treated, I loved seeing when you came late to your house and y/n would wait for you, she always felt sleepy but she would always make sure to stay awake until you arrived, you would hug her and kiss her making her blush so much that she had to hide her face on your chest, you donât know how happy she wasâŚâ Agatha remembered everything, she remembered doing all of that, but because of her fears and insecurities she tried to bury those memories, she was a little but surprised that Rio had watched the two of you, but she always had done something like that without her knowing.
âI really loved the way she has always listened so attentively to you, always listening to everything that you had to tell, I even feel jealous of her just giving all of her love and attention to you, I would love if she looked at me the way she does it when it comes to youâ Rio said a little ashamed, feeling too exposed saying how she felt.
Agatha felt surprised listening to Rioâs confession and couldnât help but feel a little bit jealous for the fact that she wanted you for her as well.
âDonât worry, Iâm not going to steal her from youâ Rio winked at her playfully.
âI just, would like to keep talking with her and with you, after all this finishes, if youâd likeâÂ
Agatha liked the idea of getting to be with her and you, but now you were not even looking at her, not even meeting her gaze! You have been avoiding her since she had yelled at you.
âBut she is not even looking at me anymore! She has finally realized the monster I amâ Agatha couldnât hide anymore how distressed she was feeling, the mere thought of you leaving her was making her heart break into pieces, Agatha threw herself at Rio hugging her and clinging to her clothes, sobbing hard against her chest.
âSince I entered that house in Westview, the one I took over to follow my plan, and she was there waiting for me inside what she thought was our home, she opened the door, and smiled at me with one of the most beautiful smiles I have seen ever, she was smiling at me, she called me love and said that she had made dinner for me, I knew right away she was under Wanda´s mind control, I just never thought Wanda would give me a fake wife you know, not that I minded at allâ Agatha said with a soft smile even if the tears were still streaming down her face.
âI never minded her you know? Yes having her there was nice, I just thought that the way she treated me was because of Wanda´s mind control, because of the role she had been given to play, it was bad, I had started to fall slowly, it started with her usual greetings in the morning, always asking if I had a good sleep, or if I wanted something specific to eat in the morning, always waiting for me whenever I arrived late, so I decided to stop the feeling and release her from the spell, so she would leave the town, and leave meâŚâ The blue-eyed witch was being sincere, something that was so hard to get her to do, so Rio only listened slowly to her while caressing her hair.
âI decided to just wake her up from the mind control so that she would not act like that anymore, my heart and mind could not stand the fact that I was falling for an act, I was falling for the pretty girl in my house, for the amazing and beautiful woman in my home, always attending to what I needed, always making sure I was alright, always trying to cheer me up and say how smart I was, I wanted for all of that to end because I couldn´t stand the idea of that not being real, I was going to let her go, my heart was shattering I was going to lose her, but I was not going to just stay there and fall for that, enjoying and feeling happy because of her while she was in pain as well, so I decided to wake her up one day when she was showing me what Wanda had gifted to her, she was happy, showing me the small glass piece shaped like a bunny, it was shaped like Mr.Scratchy, she was so happy she was saying that she was going to put it on our nightstand, and I couldnât take it anymore, I quickly just placed my hand on her temple and then I just waited for the worstâ Agatha recalled the way how she had waited for you to start asking where were you, who was she, and what had you been doing there, but what happened shocked her and she did not know if she had to feel relieved or even more scared.
âBut the worst never came, she blinked several times, looked at her surroundings and then at the small piece of glass, then she looked at me with her beautiful eyes, there was no trace of fear nor confusion, she seemed relaxed, and you know what she said to me after that? She said thank you, I wanted to be able to move Agnes, would you let me keep Mr. Scratchy´s twin made out of glass?â Agatha chuckled bitterly, in that moment she realized you still were conscious, you remembered everything but did not seem to be angry nor agitated, you were relaxed, but she was not sure about the way you truly felt so she decided to once again, hide her true feelings.
âI just told her she owed me and she had a debt to pay to me, and you know what? She agreed happily, she said she would help me with whatever I needed that she was really happy there, with me! I thought she was only saying that because maybe she was scared and I thought that she would reveal her true self, her true feelings, that she would start acting different, but none of that happened, she still was there for me, waiting for me at night, making breakfast for the two of us, making sure I was fine, asking about anything, always praising every single thing I did, and even after every mean comment I said to her, she still stayed, I even hurt her once by accident! I threw her against the wall, I never got to say sorry, I did not even stay to check on her, I thought that day she would finally pack her things and leave, but she stayed, she has been staying all this time and I have only treated her like she is not worth anything to me, when she means the world to me, why can´t she just leave, yell or say something to me? I am a monster, even after every bad things I have done to her, she is still hereâ Agatha started to sob more, recalling every bad thing she had done to you made her think more and more you were not safe with her, Rio took her by her shoulders and made her look into her brown eyes.
âIt is never late to say sorry, it is never late to finally let her know how you truly feel, if you want that girl to stay with you, and if you do not want to lose her nor let her go, with only an explanation, a sorry and telling her about your real feelings, she is going to understand everything, you have to stop inflicting pain in her and in you, can´t you see how much she loves you? The way she looks at you with such admiration, and I know, you showed her how you really felt during those three years you were under Wanda´s spell, or am I wrong?â The blue-eyed witch sighed and nodded slowly, there were times in which Agatha would be conscious from time to time, she would come to her senses and realized that everything was just Wanda´s magic making her believe and act in weird ways, but even during those short times, she still acted the same way towards you, taking advantage that you thought she was under the spell, it was a way in which she felt somehow safe, and she had every memory about those three years, the way you smiled when she hugged you, the way you blushed when she complimented you, for her it had been real, and she loved all the time she got to spend with you, but her pride, insecurities and fears made her act the same awful way towards you when she was released completely, and she hated herself for that.
âI know you think you don´t deserve her, that you don´t deserve her love, but you do, but if you do not let her know the real you and your real feelings, you are risking everything you can have with her, Agatha if you do not talk to her, she is going to leave, and I don´t want to lose her neither, I know you love her the same, but if you do not let her know that, how is she going to know your true feelings? If you keep acting that way towards her you would only keep ruining your life and hers, do you understand that? I know you are scared of something happening to her, but you have to show her you care, you have to show her how much you truly love her, she needs you to reaffirm and confirm all of thatâ Rio was speaking in a soft way, her soft voice explaining everything to Agatha who always was a mess when it came to feelings, Rio wanted to stop the suffering you and Agatha were passing through.
âLove doesn´t have to make you sufferâ Rio said with a smile on her face.
âI saw the two of you during all these three years, and I saw the love you two share, I know it´s easy for you to hide your feelings, but it is hurting you more and her, you may have been under Wanda´s spell, but I know that way was easier for you to show how you truly felt, you should really talk to her and say everything to her just as you did with me, or would you like me to talk to her?â The way Rio was asking the last question made Agatha realized that this other woman also cared for you and she cared for her as well, if she could mend everything with her and you at the same time, she would be more than happy, Agatha was aware she had to be the one to talk to you and explain everything to you, she needed to do that for you, so she shook her head slowly.
âI want to talk to her, and explain everything, but, what if she doesn´t believe me and decides to leave?â Her biggest fear was you abandoning her and she was sure she would not be able to stand it, Rio chuckled slightly, how could Agatha really not see the immense love you had for her?
âShe is not going to leave, she only needs to hear what you just told me, and be honest, completely honest, no more lies, no more acts, alright?â Agatha understood and felt a wave of excitement, she wanted to mend things with you, and was grateful for Rio being there to help her, the blue-eyed witch hugged the other woman and sighed deeply.
âNo more liesâ Agatha repeated against Rio´s chest.
・ Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś â Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸ś
Agatha tried to get near you to have a proper talk with you, but it seemed like you were ignoring her, it was as if you did not want to talk to her, you were not even looking at her when she spoke or was asked something, the blue-eyed witch felt desperate and every time she tried to get closer to you, you always seemed to get to the other side or get to talk with the teen or with any of the other witches but her, any time that would happen she would turn to look at Rio to lift her hands and point at you to make her see you did not want to talk to her, Rio would always place her hands in the air and slowly move them downwards as a way of reminding Agatha to calm herself down and not push things too much.
Agatha was in a rush to get to talk to you properly, she felt the need to explain everything to you and tell you her true feelings but you were pushing her away, she couldn´t help but feel desperate.
You wanted to give Agatha time to calm herself, because you still thought she was annoyed, so whenever you noticed she was near you, you decided to give her some space, not knowing what she actually wanted to do, Rio wanted to interfere and get the two of you together so you would have the chance to properly speak, but right where she was about to step up and get the two of you to talk, another house appeared in front of them, and given Alice´s reactions, it was clear the next trial was hers, so all of you entered to the house, getting ready for whatever would come.
Agatha went to talk to you when she noticed the teen and you were around the piano with Alice, the three of you were laughing while Alice told you the different keys of the huge instrument.
âI would have loved to learn how to play piano or any type of instrument when I was a kid, but my parents actually didnât care about what I liked, I remember I liked to draw with crayons and pencil colors but when I asked them to buy me some coloring books or some pencils they would always tell me it was a waste of money and time, then I just grew up and kind of lost interest in certain thingsâ You said while touching softly the keys just softly enough to feel the cold keys without pressing hard into them to make them sound, you had not seen the way Alice and the teen shared a sad look.
âI can teach you to play when we get out of thisâ Alice commented while looking at you with a big smile on her face, her heart ache for you.
âThat would be awesome isnât it awesome? You can also come to my place and I can show you everything I have, Iâm pretty sure you are going to like my movie collection, remember you told me you loved watching moviesâ The teen said after he listened to Aliceâs offer, he wanted to make sure you knew that after all this finished, and all of you completed everything you still would have friends with you.
Your heart couldnât be filled with so much more love, it felt nice to be wanted to share things with people you liked, it was nice to be felt included, it was amazing to feel wanted and cared enough for people to invite you to do things with them.
Agatha slowly got closer to you and cleared her throat not to scare you.
âHey can you-â She had not even finished her sentence when you quickly turned around and started to walk away.
âYeah, I will make sure not to get in your wayâ You said out loud and walked towards the corner of the room leaving Agatha shocked and with her mouth open.
âThatâs not what I meantâ Agatha said softly looking at Alice and the teen, they didnât say anything and then Rio appeared behind Agatha brushing her shoulders softly.
âCan you tell y/n that she doesnât have to actually do anything? I donât want her to get hurtâ Agatha told her not minding if Alice and the teen heard what she was saying, the pair only looked at each other confused.
âWill do, donât worry, go prepare yourself to show off, she likes your clothes by the way, she was looking at you through the mirrorâ Rio winked at her and walked off to meet you, her last comment made Agatha smile and took a look at her clothes.
âYou know she only wants to make sure youâre safe, right?â You heard Rio talking behind you and you decided to turn yourself around to face her, taking a look at the witches in the middle of the room, Agatha was making sure the microphone was to her level, making you smile slightly.
âSometimes it doesnât feel like thatâ You replied to her looking at the floor, she shook her head and slowly put her hand on your chin, lifting your face to look thoroughly your expression.
âAgatha is a complicated woman, I used to be with her, and she has always been like this, itâs her own way to cope with things, I know itâs not the best way, but if you let her explain herself, everything will make sense, alright?â The woman in front of you sounded sincere, and the way she caressed the skin on your face comforted you in the same way Agatha had made you feel when she was under Wandaâs spell.
You leant into her touch, enjoying the feeling she was providing you; you closed your eyes enjoying the moment.
âYou are so beautifulâ Rio said in a whisper, you opened your eyes to look at her, feeling your face getting warmer.
âThank you, you are really beautiful as wellâ Rio smiled at you making your heart leap.
You could have sworn you have seen her before, but you were not sure where or if it was possible.
âI know you love flowers; it is amazing how you care for the garden you have on Agathaâs garden, making sure they are always wateredâ
You were surprised, how did she even know that?
âI know itâs weird, but I hope this doesnât scare you off, but Iâve been looking after you and Agatha, well, maybe a little bit more after you, Agatha has been having you looking after her during these past three years, I wanted to make sure you were also fine, we both know Agatha can take care of herself but is never that bad to make sure sheâs fine like you have been doing, right?â Rio took your hand in hers and brought your hand to her lips to press a soft kiss to your knuckles, making you nervous.
âCareful Agatha, sheâs stealing your wifeâ Jenn commented loud enough for her to be the only one to hear, Agatha pursed her lips together and sent you a look.
Rio was talking to you in the corner of the room, she was playing with your hair and you were playfully pushing her hand away, the two of you were laughing and even if the brown-eyed woman and her had already talked about what they wanted, which was the same thing, or the same person in this case, she couldnât help but feel jealous, you had just met Rio hours ago and there you were touching her playfully?
What made her feel more jealous was when she saw the way Rio gave you one of the flowers hanging around her hair and gave it you, you didnât think twice to take it in your hands.
âRio, care to join us? We have to hurryâ Agatha called out loud with her hands pointing at the instruments.
Rio winked at you and brushed slowly her hand on your hand.
âWe can keep talking later loveâ The pet-name had made you blush and you only nodded trying to hide your smile while caressing slowly the petals of the flower Rio had given to you.
Rio came towards all of the other witches who already had an instrument in their hands and Agatha quickly took Rioâs shoulder, stopping her from walking past her.
âI told you to only let her know to stay away, not to go and flirt shamelessly with her in front of usâ Agatha hissed to her, trying not to yell and Rio couldnât help but laugh.
âCalm down, we already talked, we have to make her feel safe, thatâs what Iâm doingâ Rio tried to reason with the blue-eyed witch.
âSheâs is not only yoursâ Agatha said again warning the brown-eyed woman.
âThen we better hurry so you can let her know you want her to be yours as well, right?â Rio replied back with her eyes wide opened and a big smile on her face, Agatha only sighed and let her walk towards her instrument.
ď˝ĄË ď¸śď¸śâŠď¸śď¸śâ â Ë ď¸śď¸śâŠ
It happened so fast that you didnât even get the chance to cover your face or turned around, but it was too late, the next thing you knew you were being carried and you felt the hot and thick liquid coming out from several parts of your body, and the different cuts all over your face made you feel more pain.
All they had heard was the sound of something about to crack, and after they had the chance to do something the glass in front of you shattered into millions of pieces, everyone out of instinct covered themselves but when Agatha realized you had been the one too close to the glass her heart started to beat faster, turning around quickly she saw you were about to fall to the floor completely unconscious, so she ran as fast as she could catching you in the process.
âPlease we need to help her, sheâs bleeding so muchâ Agatha screamed completely terrified, she had tried to protect you and she hadnât even been able to do that.
Yes, they had passed the trial, but that didnât make them feel happy nor excited, everyone was completely worried about you but the way Agatha seemed to be so desperate trying to stop the bleeding and the tears falling from her face showed how scared she was.
Agatha was passing her hand through her hair nervously not knowing what to do, she felt useless, completely useless.
âPlease we have to do something, sheâs not responding!â Agatha yelled completely desperate looking at the other witches.
They placed you on the floor carefully, Agatha quickly started to look for any more wounds and when she saw a big spot of blood that had formed on you abdomen it made her cry harder, she carefully lifted the shirt to see the wound and what she saw made her gasp as well as the other witches who were looking horrified the scene in front of them.
âLet me try somethingâ Jenn quickly made something with the water on the little pools on the floor, and started to say something in Latin, Agatha was trembling with fear, without her powers she was not even able to heal you.
Rio came to stand next to her to take her hand in hers to give her some kind of comfort, the brown-eyed woman was trying really hard not to shed any tears, trying to be strong for Agatha.
The teen had his hands in his head, not wanting to look at the amount of blood coming from you, he was so scared for you and started to walk in circles due to his nervousness.
Jenn came back to your body and kneeled to try and pour the water onto your wound, she carefully removed the big piece of glass stuck in your skin and Agatha couldnât stand the sight, her eyes were completely red, her hands shaking out of fear.
âThere is so much blood! Are you sure thatâs going to help?!â Alice suddenly asked not sure if she should get closer or give you space, Lilia had kneeled next to you, caressing your hair and with tears in her eyes.
Agatha hoped that whatever Jen was pouring into your wound would stop the bleeding but even after the water was poured completely on you, the blood didnât stop from coming out of the wound in your stomach.
âItâs not working! Jen why is not working!?â Agatha yelled scared and confused, she kneeled down as well trying to see if maybe her powers were back, but they had not come back to her.
âDamn it!â The blue-eyed woman didnât know what to do, she had wanted to apply pressure into your wound but was afraid of making everything worse, she didnât know what to do for once in her life.
âWe have to do something, sheâs still bleeding!â The teen came running towards you.
âAgatha, we have to do something if we donât stop the bleeding she will die!â Everyone felt a pang of fear and pain when they heard the teen saying that.
âNo, no she wonât die!â Agatha took your face into her hands, softly caressing the spots that were free off any wounds.
All of the witches were crying at this point, how could it be possible that out of all of them you had been the one to get hurt?
âPlease doll, you canât die, you canât leave me, I donât want you to leave, I love you, we still havenât talked! I still have to let you know everything, I love you please you canât leave meâ The way Agatha was talking to you and pleading for you not to leave her was a shattering their hearts.
Rio couldnât stand the sight, you were in fact dying, she removed slowly from Agatha and the blue-eyed witch panicked.
âNo, no, no please, donât take her, itâs not fair! Please I beg you not to take her, please my love you canât take herâ Rioâs heart was breaking into millions of pieces, the way Agatha was suffering, the way she would suffer even more if you died, the way Rio would also suffer from your loss, everyone here would suffer horribly if you died, Rio knew it was not fair, it was not fair that you had to die like that, an innocent, Rio knew she had a job, her job was sacred, but would she be able to break the rules for you and Agatha? She hadnât got the time to speak properly with you, to show you how she truly cared about you, all these years looking after Agatha and you had made her fall for you as well, the way your smile was so sweet and contagious, the way you would always try to hide your face when you were feeling nervous, she couldnât bring herself to take you with her and never see you again.
The other witches were completely confused, why was Agatha pleading to her not to take you? They were not understanding until Rioâs face showed for a second her true image making everyone gasp in fear.
âI canât interfere Agatha, I am the natural order, I should never stop the natural order of thingsâ Rioâs voice was deep, and Agathaâs sobs were becoming louder.
âWhy is it always an innocent the one which has to pay for the bad things?â Lilia asked out loud caressing softly your hair making sure not to hurt you more.
Rio slowly pressed her hand on the deep wound on your stomach and when she took her hand off, the blood had stopped coming, the gash on your skin was not there anymore, and your breathing became normal.
âYou saved herâ Agathaâs eyes were full of tears, the hot streams of tears still falling down her face, but at the sight of your abdomen with no more blood coming and with no trace of the wound, she finally felt she could breathe, Rio only nodded and quickly wiped the single tear that had fallen down her face.
âI couldnât bring myself to hurt the two women I loveâ She whispered.Â
âI will make sure nothing ever happens to her, right now we have to make sure she rests for a while, I can take care of the other small wounds that she has all over her face and hands, we have to move her to a place where she can restâ Everyone nodded when Rio finished talking, and Agatha and her made sure to take carefully your body to carry you on their arms.
The teen who has the first to compose himself to make himself useful started to gather as many leaves as he could, he started to take many with him from the ground, Alice who quickly understood what he was doing started to do the same.
âWhere are you going to put her?â The teen asked when he came next to Agatha and Rio who had you in their arms.
âOver there, thank youâ Rio said calmly, she knew you were safe.
Alice and the teen gathered as many leaves as they could and put them where Rio had pointed at, in a spot where the path had some different flowers and a tall tree in the middle, Alice and the teen made sure the leaves they had collected were enough and made sure if was comfortable enough, Agatha and Rio placed you on there carefully, making sure they would not hurt you more.
After they placed you on the leaves Agatha stood up and quickly took her coat off, placing it over your body and making sure you were covered, Lilia came walking to stand next to the two witches and did the same as Agatha, she carefully took her sweater off and kneeled next to you to place it over your body, making sure the two pieces of clothes that belonged to her and Agatha were covering you fully, Agatha felt very touched seeing how everyone also cared about you, and she reminded herself to thank them for that.
Alice noticed the way your head was placed in a weird way so she took her jacket off and moved closer to you, folding her jacket carefully to shape it like a pillow, but noticed the way the zipper had not been carefully hidden so it would not hurt you, Jenn came next to her.
âLet me tryâ Jenn stretched her hands out and Alice handed the jacket to her, Jennifer carefully folded in a way the zipper would not hurt your head, and handed it back to Alice, the protection witch carefully kneeled and Rio did the same, the green witch lifted your head slowly and Alice placed her folded jacket under your head, finally your head was not in a strange position and you seemed to be comfortable enough.
âThank youâ Agatha said looking at the witches that stood in front of you.
âThank you for taking care of her, for making sure she´s alright, I will always be in debt with youâ Agatha said again with tears forming in her eyes again.
All of the witches were surprised because this had been the first time, they were seeing Agatha being vulnerable.
âWe didn´t do anythingâ Jenn said while looking at you, she still felt bad for not being able to actually do something to heal you.
âYour potion didn´t work, because she was not supposed to be healed, it was not you, your potion worked perfectly fine, you saved Sharon, but this was something differentâ Agatha said looking at Jenn straight into her eyes and then the blue eyed-witch turned her head to look at Rio, giving her a smile, Rio smiled back at her, knowing exactly that what Agatha had said was true, the potion´s witch was not able to heal you because you were not supposed to be saved.
âI mean, thank you for being with her, I know you may not have known her that much, but seeing you making sure she was fine and letting her walk next to you when she did not want to be near me, make me feel relieved that at least she had someone looking after herâ Agatha said sincerely.
âThat girl is a gift, a wonderful young woman who deserves every single good thing, and we are going to be with her until we can and until life allows us toâ Lilia said with a soft tone all while looking at Rio, Rio nodded at her softly, as a way of thanking her.
âWe will leave you to take care of her, we are sure you have too many things to talk about and talk to her when she wakes up, we will be waiting for you to come back with her, alright?â Lilia commented again and Alice, Jenn and the teen nodded, the Sicilian witch was right, they needed to leave the three of you alone and give you time to talk, Alice and the teen were the first ones to start walking back to the spot where the door had been, the two of them smiled at Rio and Agatha, Jenn was the second to leave, sighing deeply and Lilia stopped next to Agatha to grab her hand in hers.
âMake sure she recovers well, and Agatha please stop making her suffer, I know you are suffering as well, so I hope when she wakes up, you will talk to he properly and I hope you say sorry to herâ Lilia was looking straight at the blue-eyed witch and Agatha nodded.
âI will do it, thank you for talking to her, she seemed more relaxed after your talk, so I am really grateful for thatâ Lillia´s face softened and she patted Agatha´s shoulder, she knew Agatha would do the right thing, so she left to join the rest of the coven where they had left, leaving Agatha and Rio standing next to each other.
Rio took Agatha´s hand in hers and the two of them sat net to you on the ground, the blue-eyed witch took your hand in hers caressing the back of your hand and Rio caressed your forehead softly, healing the wounds you had and making sure they all disappeared.
They were not sure how much time had passed but they felt you started to move slowly and Rio and Agatha quickly went to help you to sit down on the spot you had been placed.
âHow are you feeling doll?â Agatha asked you while she quickly went to grab your face with her hands, there was no trace of blood nor any wounds on your beautiful place, and she felt relieved that you seemed to be relaxed and not in pain, seeing you with your eyes opened was the most beautiful thing, she had been so scared to lose you, she would never forget how much she had feared for your life, she would go absolutely mad if she lost you for real.
Your first reaction was to blink several times, were you dreaming? Why did Agatha look so worried? And most important why was she touching your face with so much softness? Rio noticed your confused expression and giggled gently, she came to sit next to you, her shoulder touching yours and one of her hands went to hugged you by your waist, making you feel your face getting warmer.
Agatha couldn´t help herself and quickly leant to pressed a soft and quick kiss to your lips, it had been so out of nowhere and of course you had not expected her to do that, but it made your heart beat so fast, that it made you afraid it was going to get out of your ribcage with the force it was beating.
âYou almost died, I almost lost you, we almost lost you darling!â Agatha´s eyes started to fill with tears again, the memory making her body tremble again and of course you worried, you took her hands from your face and brought them to your chest.
âBut I am hereâ You said softly trying to give her some comfort.
Agatha and Rio couldn´t believe how sweet you were, you were trying to comfort the blue-eyed witch even though you had just passed through something as traumatic as almost dying.
Agatha chuckled softly and brought your hands to her lips, giving a kiss to the back of your hands, and placing them close to her face to feel the warmth emanating from your soft hands, she was so happy to know you were fine, to know you were there alive and that she was able to feel you.
âI am so happy that you´re here, and it is because of Rio, she saved you, she was the only one who was able to heal you and made you stay here with us, oh love, there was so much blood, seeing you with your eyes completely closed and not responding almost made my heart stop, I was not able to do anything, I don´t have powers, I was not able to protect you, I was so scared since the moment I heard you were coming with us, I didn´t want that anything happened to you, I tried to protect you and none of it worked, you ended up getting hurtâ Agatha was crying, the tears were falling from her face and you quickly wiped the tears of her face, you hugged her and she returned the hug, her arms embraced your waist softly and Rio´s hand started to caress your back up and down.
After some minutes that you were sure Agatha had calmed down a little you separated yourself from her and looked straight into her eyes.
âIt´s alright Agatha, I really appreciate that you are being finally honest with me, that you let me see this part of you, that you are letting me see the real you, I love you, and I have loved you since I started to share my life with you playing your âwifeââ Agatha felt her face getting warmer and you laughed at her blushing face, Agatha really liked when it was mentioned you were her âwifeâ she had in mind to actually get you to be her real wife but first she wanted to mend things and pass more time with you before finally popping the question, she also was aware of the fact that Rio would start passing more and more time with you and her, so she wanted to talk properly about that with the brown-eyed witch.
âI love you so much as well, everything I have done, every lie I have told you, every mean action and comment I have done to you has been awful, I will never forgive myself for al the time I have treated you like that, I am so sorry for yelling at you, you didn´t deserve any of that, you deserve to have everything, to be treated like a queen, because that is what you are to me, please I hope you can forgive for what I have done, I don´t want to lose you, I want you to stay with me, because I love you, I know there is no excuse for everything I made you pass through, but I was scared, I was scared of my own feelings, every time I looked at you and the way you always smile, it made me fear and doubt my own feelings, you made me feel what I had not felt in centuries, and I was scared to actually face my true feelings towards you, but please, if you give me a chance I will make it up to you, I will never hurt you againâ You were so touched by her words, she was being honest, and the best part was that she returned your feelings, this day could not be better, the woman you had fallen for was saying to you that she also loved you!
You had started to cry and felt another hand caressing you back as well, you gave another soft kiss to Agatha and smiled at her after separating a little from her.
âThank you, Agatha, you really make me happy, I forgive you for everything I really love you so deeply, and I don´t hold any type of grudges against you, it makes me happy to know you feel the same way I do, so of course I will stay with you, I am not going anywhereâ Agatha had a huge smile on her face, her heart was full of love for you, and she would make sure this time she show you how she truly felt about you.
You slowly turned your face to look at Rio and saw the loving expression she had on your face, Agatha patted you softly and pushed you gently to turn yourself around to face Rio.
The brown-eyed witch took your hands in hers and started to caress the palm of your hands, tickling you a little.
âThank you, Rio, for saving my life, I will always have a debt with you, how can I show you how grateful I am?â You said to her with a soft tone, giving her a big smile and feeling your heart leaping, Rio looked at you without saying anything for a couple of minutes, her right hand with her long black fingernails came to your face to caress your cheek and then she placed her hand on your neck, caressing your skin slowly.
âIf you give me as many kisses for as long as I live, you will never own me anythingâ Rio responded with a flirty tone, her eyes watching your lips for a second.
âDon´t worry about Agatha, we already talked, she is not the only one who will have you all to herselfâ Rio winked at you and Agatha rolled her eyes playfully, of course she would say something like that.
âYou can start paying me nowâ Rio whispered, her face getting closer to you, you leant into her and pressed your lips on hers, it started as nice gentle kiss and Rio took the opportunity to deepen the kiss, Agatha noticed that and pursed her lips a little, did she really have to do it now that you were having a deep talk with them? Deep down she felt a little bit jealous, she had also wanted to kiss you like that.
âHey, hey, that´s too much, c´mon ladiesâ Agatha said out loud and you separated yourself slowly from Rio´s lips, your face completely red, Rio had a satisfied look on her face, the brown-eyed witch looked at Agatha and on purpose licked her lips, making Agatha shook her head.
The blue-eyed witch got closer to you, sitting right behind you, she passed her arms around your waist pulling you closer to her and pressing her chin on your shoulder after giving a soft kiss to your temple, feeling content for having you there with her, Rio took your hands again in hers and gave them a squeeze, she also couldnât hide how happy she was feeling, after all, she was finally able to touch you and look at you closer, it had been what she had wanted to do during those three years of only watching you from afar.
You were happy, you not only had the woman whom you had fallen in love first hugging you with her strong grip around you, listening to her breathing, you also had an amazing woman in front of you who also took your breath away, her flirty nature made her so confident, apart from the fact that she was as beautiful as Agatha and had a deadly stare, you felt happy, even if you almost died, everything had been worth it, you didnât feel as if loving her was ruining your life anymore, it was making you feel finally complete, you felt loved and that was what mattered, not only you had two women who cared for you romantically, but you also finally had found your coven even if you were not a witch, they had treated you like if you had been really important to them, and couldn´t wait to see them again to thank them for that.
Agatha knew Rio had been right, love didnât have to make any one of you suffer, not even her, and was grateful that Rio had made her re-think what she was doing, thanks to her, she was right there, hugging you, feeling you close, and Agatha couldn´t be happier, she knew she would have time to spend it with you and also with Rio of course, nothing would take her happiness away, and she would make sure to protect you for real and always have you close to her.
Rio was happy, more than happy, she wouldn´t let anything happen to you, and of course would make sure Agatha would be fine, she would make sure to have an eye on you, and would make sure that Agatha didn´t repeat the same mistakes, Rio wouldn´t let that anything happen to you, she would still have to explain to you why sometimes she had to disappear from time to time, and would explain to you who she really was, she would make sure not to scare you, she know it was something really important to talk about, but right now, she felt content, caressing your hair and putting flowers to decorate your beautiful hair, many different back flowers were adorning your soft hair, Rio was making sure that they would not fall, she was going to enjoy you as much as she could right now, she would have more time to speak properly to you later, right now, she knew she had to make sure nothing happen to any of you to get you safe and out of this place.

I think there are some takeaways here, if we want to learn from this.
First: third-party voters were irrelevant. In no swing state did left-leaning third-party voters add up to enough to push Harris over.
Second: many progressive policies and politicians outperformed Harris.
Third: appealing to Republicans did not work.
It has never worked, in the US or in Europe, we've seen time and again that giving ground to right wing policies only legitimizes them and voters then prefer the original. For example, if you worry about immigration, and both sides are saying it's a problem, who do you trust more to handle it?
Fourth: polls were pretty accurate. There were months, years, really, of debate about polling being broken, which demographics were underrepresented, which were overrepresented, herding, hopes that they were overcorrecting for the last two misses on Trump, but they ended up closer than anybody wanted. Which also means that Biden would have lost by even worse.
Fifth: on the one hand, people should hopefully see this graphic and realize there's no minority to scapegoat:
On the other hand, I'm seeing a lot of people take it as a sign the country has simply shifted to the right in a huge, undeniable way that's depressing and ominous and feels hopeless. After all, Trump will win the popular vote by a lot, the first time a Republican has in decades.
However, this should be taken in conjunction with these numbers:
Now THIS is something that's open to further analysis and that can be worked with.
Why did so many Democrat voters not show up?
Here are some potential reasons for this, the truth most likely being a combination of at least several of them:
She's a Black-Indian woman. There's no denying the racism and misogyny among the US electorate, but given earlier polls where she was leading, I don't think this was the main or certainly only reason.
She was seen as too progressive/leftist. Again, by virtue of our racist, misogynistic electorate and our billionaire-owned media, Harris was seen as too extreme left by a lot of people, not just because of policies, but because inherently, her identity itself is extreme left to them. I personally don't think this was a crucial factor because, again, she had been leading when she was going stronger on the progressive messaging, other progressive policies and politicians outperformed her, and a lot of the people who think she's too extreme are Republicans who'd never vote for her. I just don't think it's a good enough reason for the millions of Democrats who didn't show.
Palestine. There's a coalition of pro-Palestine people, not just Muslims and Arab Americans but leftists and other POC too, but numerically, their vote for third parties made no difference. Did enough shift to Trump or not show up at all? Certainly in Michigan they swung to the right, but would that have made a difference? Did they matter in other less tangible ways, e.g., a lot of the same active progressives who'd have been out campaigning simply voted quietly for Harris and left it at that? How much of a distraction was this for Dems, having to constantly address Gaza as opposed to putting forth their own policies, and did it contribute to the overall perception of them being incompetent and weak and bringing chaos when people were tired of it? I think Palestine did have an effect, but enough to swing it overall...?
Not being progressive enough. A lot of people will point to Palestine and immigration, the decision to campaign with Liz Cheney and Mark Cuban and court Republican moderates, stifling Walz, and various other shifts that abandoned the left for the center and then the left didn't show up while the center went for Republicans as they always do, but the left isn't that large. I think, if this one point is a factor, it's more that it was simply difficult for normal voters to show up when they didn't really know what the candidate stood for, aside from "more of the same" and "not Trump".
Biden. When you have a ton of people unhappy with where the country is going, including their biggest priority, the economy, being tied to an unpopular incumbent was going to be tough, especially when, as a Black-Indian woman, she would be judged as disloyal if she broke too much from him. Nevertheless... People were unhappy with him and his administration.
Ultimately, I think there's a lot to learn and I hope Dems will.
I think we're in for a tough time and we're going to need community and solidarity, not fighting among ourselves.

Spencer's Secret - Spencer Reid
ââ§âşËâ Masterlist âËâşâ§â
Summary: All Spencer wanted was to finish his paperwork and go home, but now heâs in a bar, drunk, and confessing all his secrets to Derek.
âËâşâ§ââ˝âŻâžââ§âşËâ
The team had barely settled back into the office after a grueling case when Derek threw an arm over Emilyâs shoulder, talking about needing a drink. Emily agreed with a weary smile, and soon enough, JJ, Penelope, and Rossi had chimed in, all eager to unwind together. Somehow, theyâd even managed to convince Hotch, who gave them a reluctant nod, his rare smile hinting he could use a break too.
All that was left was Spencer. Sitting at his desk, he was hunched over, diligently finishing up his paperwork, when Derek strolled over and leaned in with his usual, "Hey, pretty boy."
Spencer looked up, already anticipating the question. "No, Derek, Iâm not going."
Derek raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "I didnât even get to ask!"
"Doesnât matter. Iâm not going," Spencer replied firmly, looking back down at his files.
"Come on, kid," Derek urged, his voice dropping to a softer, pleading tone. "Just this once. If you come, Iâll never ask again. I swear."
Spencer let out a sigh, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up with him. There was a beat of silence as he mulled it over, glancing at the hopeful faces of his teammates nearby. Finally, he closed his file, resigned. "Fine," he muttered, âbut just this once."
Derekâs face broke into a grin, practically bouncing on his feet. "You heard him, guysâheâs in! Letâs go before he changes his mind."
Spencer reluctantly stood up, pulling on his coat with a sigh. He glanced around, noticing the others already gathering their things, excitement buzzing among them. As they all filed out together, Penelope slung an arm around Spencer, giving him a reassuring squeeze.
"Oh, Spence, youâll have fun. Trust me," she said, winking.
Spencer managed a small, hesitant smile, wondering just what he was getting himself into. It wasnât exactly his ideal night out, but surrounded by his friends, he couldnât help but feel a faint sense of anticipation growing despite himself.
âËâşâ§ââ˝âŻâžââ§âşËâ
As soon as the team settled into the bar, the weight of the last case started to fade. They ordered the first round, eager to drink, laugh, and let loose for a few hours. The drinks flowed freely, and soon they were deep in conversation, sharing old stories and laughing harder with each passing round. Spencer, who rarely drank, was feeling more than a little tipsy. Nights like these werenât really his sceneâhe usually found it far more comfortable to stay home. But now, with the warm buzz in his head and his friends around, he was actually enjoying himself.
Meanwhile, Derek had been off flirting at the bar, but eventually made his way back to the booth, where Spencer was the last one still sitting. Derek, who could hold his liquor well, was only slightly buzzed. He noticed Spencer's dazed expression and grinned, sliding into the seat next to him. "Pretty boy," he said, nudging him, "there are so many gorgeous women here tonight. You should go try and have some fun, maybe even get a date."
Spencer, a little too drunk to filter his thoughts, shook his head. "Donât need a date," he said, his words slurring slightly.
Derek raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Oh yeah? And whyâs that?"
Spencerâs face softened, and he blurted, âIâve got an amazing girlfriend at home.â
"Right, sure," Derek teased, not at all convinced. "So whatâs her name?"
Spencerâs face lit up. "Y/N," he said, his voice full of adoration. He leaned in, eyes dreamy, and started rambling. âSheâs incredible, Derek. So smart, so beautiful. Sheâs way out of my leagueâI still canât believe sheâs with me.â
Derek chuckled, noticing just how drunk Spencer was. It was getting late, and he knew Spencer would never make it home on his own. âWhy donât you call Y/N to pick you up, then?â he said, jokingly.
Spencerâs face brightened, and he fumbled for his phone. Derek watched in amusement as he dialed, still skeptical, until he heard a faint âHello?â from the other end.
Spencerâs face lit up even more. âHello, my love,â he said, voice thick with affection.
You let out a soft laugh on the other side of the line. âHey, Spence! Everything alright?â
Spencer grinned, completely forgetting why heâd called. âYeah,â he said dreamily. âI justâŚwanted to hear your pretty voice.â
You laughed, clearly touched. Derek, now genuinely surprised that someone had actually answered, took the phone from Spencer, holding it up to his ear. "Hello?" he asked, still a bit skeptical.
"Uh, hi,â you replied, a little confused. âWho is this?"
Derek cleared his throat. âThis is Derek. Spencer friend.â
âOh! Nice to finally meet you, Derek, Spencer talks about you and the team quite a bit.â you said, sounding amused. âIâm Y/N, his girlfriend.â
Derek muttered, âHoly shit, youâre real.â
"Sorry?" you asked, sounding puzzled.
âNothing, nothing,â he chuckled. âListen, Spencerâs had a bit too much to drink. Are you able to pick him up?â
You let out a soft, understanding laugh. âYeah, of course. Just tell me where you guys are.â
Derek gave you the address and hung up, handing the phone back to Spencer. "Your girlfriendâs coming to get you," he said, still slightly in awe that Spencerâs been hiding a girlfriend from them.
Spencerâs eyes lit up even more. âY/N?â he asked eagerly.
âYeah, pretty boy, Y/N,â Derek replied, shaking his head with a grin.
Spencer slumped back in his seat with a satisfied sigh. âFinally,â he mumbled. âSomeone cool to hang out with.â
Derek just laughed, patting Spencer on the shoulder. He sat down with Spencer and waited with him for Y/N to get there, eager to meet her.
âËâşâ§ââ˝âŻâžââ§âşËâ
As Spencer was still happily rambling to Derek about his incredible girlfriend, the door opened, and a beautiful woman stepped into the bar. Spencerâs eyes widened instantly. "Y/N!" he exclaimed, jumping up so quickly he nearly tripped. He stumbled over to you, practically throwing himself into your arms, clinging to you like heâd just found his lifeline. He buried his face in your neck, a contented sigh escaping him.
You wrapped your arms around him, laughing softly at his drunken enthusiasm. "Looks like someone had a good time," you teased, rubbing his back.
âMissed you so much,â he mumbled into your neck, his words muffled but unmistakably fond.
Looking up, you noticed a man standing a few steps behind Spencer, observing the two of you with an amused grin. "You must be Derek," you said, offering him a warm smile.
Derek smiled back, giving a nod. "Nice to finally meet you. Iâve heard a lot about you tonight."
Before you could respond, Spencer had already started tugging you gently toward the exit. You glanced back at Derek and gave him a quick smile. "Hopefully we can actually talk sometime soon," you said, laughing as Spencer clung to your arm.
Derek chuckled, nodding. "Iâd like that. Take care of him. Goodnight, Y/N."
He watched as you guided a tipsy, lovesick Spencer out of the bar, a soft smile still on his face. Just then, Penelope popped up beside him, curiosity sparkling in her eyes. âWhat are you staring at?â she asked, following his gaze to the exit.
âSpencerâs got a girlfriend,â Derek said, unable to keep a little laugh from escaping as he recalled the whole scene.
Penelopeâs eyes went wide, and she gasped, practically bouncing in place. "Wait, what?! Our Spencer? Oh my God, I need details!"
Derek smirked, shaking his head. "Calm down, babygirl. You can interrogate him tomorrow," he teased.
Penelope pouted, but the excitement was already building. After a second, she sighed dramatically, then brightened up again and grabbed Derekâs hand. âFine! But right now, youâre dancing with me.â
Derek let her pull him to the dance floor, chuckling as he made a mental note to tease Spencer about this night for a long time.

"
You took another deep breath and turned away from the mirror. Now was not the time to get into an existential crisis over your costume. You could always order a new one from the association later. You grabbed your phone, staring at the most recent message for a long moment, your heart pounding nervously.
'Ready when you are.'
You could hear Silverâs voice in your mind as you read those words, could see his reassuring smile, the kindness in his mercury eyes that didnât quite manage to hide patient anticipation. He was looking forward to this, you knew. He had been there every step of the way, as you had dragged yourself out of the hole your failure and terror had shoved you into.
You didnât feel ready to be a hero again, but you had decided that it didnât matter. You would never feel ready. You could run those obstacle courses and simulations Silver built a hundred thousand times and not feel ready.
'Ready' you typed back and hit send before you could stop yourself.Â
The hero association already knew you would return to active duty today. The substitute hero had left the city last night, looking relieved. His stay here had been exceptionally boring, since Silver had refused to challenge him in any way. Aside from bugging him a bit for fun, but his pranks were always harmless.
You flexed your hands and for a moment you felt all the scar tissue pull tight, stitched up wounds and surgery scars and broken bones that had taken months to heal. You werenât ready, but you were sick and tired of sitting around at home.
You were sick and tired of being scared, of worrying. Of thinking about the next Class A villain that could show up with murder on their mind. You wanted to be a hero, still, even now. You wanted to protect people and help them where you could. You straightened your shoulders and walked forward, projecting a confidence you did not feel.
It was showtime.
*.*.*.*
You watched civilians cackle in delight as they were pelted with marshmallow butts the size of half your palm. Silver was bouncing a bit on his toes at your side, grinning so wide it mustâve hurt his cheeks.
"Well?" he said with a grin. "Arenât you going to try and stop me? Oh no, darling, dashing hero!" He pretended to fall into a faint, hand theatrically pressed against his forehead.Â
He tipped over with thoughtless trust, knowing youâd be there to catch him. And you did, hands pressed against his signature leather jacket as he draped himself over your arms with exaggerated drama. He continued, "Whatever shall I do, my evil soul quivers!"
You couldnât help but laugh, tension you hadnât been aware of sliding off your shoulders like water off a duckâs back. When you caught your breath again, looking down, Silver had the softest smile on his face, his eyes crinkling at the corners. He looked far too sweet for someone proclaiming he had an evil soul.
He straightened from his pretend fainting after a moment and tugged his jacket properly back into place.
"Good first day back?" he asked quietly, barely audible over the huffing and puffing noise of his Ass Kicker 50, itâs wheel of used but thoroughly cleaned and disinfected boots merrily pelting butts into the growing crowd.
"Yeah," you answered just as quietly. "Glad to see me again?"
"Of course, darling." His soft smile got a mischievous edge as it grew into a smirk. "But you must be losing your edge, you havenât even disabled my baby yet."
You couldnât help but smirk back, tapping a piece of plating. "Dead switch is beneath this thing, isnât it?"
He looked startled, then cursed and grumbled, actually looking like he had no idea if he was frustrated or delighted and instead settled on a weird mix of both. "I was hiding it so well! How the fuck did you know?"
You gave him a small shrug. "Itâs the only place that works and from the way the thingâs set up and built, it had to be in this area to avoid messing with the machinery. And itâs the only plating thatâs not bolted down. Pressure opens it, right?"
You pressed down experimentally on one side and the plate popped open easily enough, swinging aside to reveal the big red button. Because of course it was a big red button. That was so very Silver.
When you looked up, his mercury eyes were bright and intense and that elated-frustrated look was still on his face. "And you once asked me why I fight you," he said, his quiet voice carrying a particular tone that you couldnât quite place. It made you feel faintly flustered, though.
You fiddled with the plate for a moment, before closing it again. "Yeah, well, Iâm just glad Iâm not boring."
Silver drew up to his full height, actually looking affronted. "Boring? How dare you?"
The smile tugging at your face felt far too earnest and touched by half, but it seemed to soothe his insulted affront.
"Iâll have a conversation with whoever put that thought into your head," he said, pointing a finger at you. "And if it was you yourself, we are going to have a long talk."
Hearing a round of loud, delighted noise from the side, both of you looked over to see a group of goth teens cackling as they pocked little holes between the cheeks of their marshmallows butts.
"Ah, I knew I had forgotten something," Silver muttered and you dissolved into helpless laughter, ending up leaning against his shoulder and gasping for air.
By the time you calmed down, you were out of breath, your belly aching in the best of ways and you reached up to wipe some moisture away. Silver looked very content and happy, standing there and watching the machine pelt away, people jumping to catch the butts wrapped in paper to keep things sanitary. So they could be picked up and still eaten if they fell to the floor.
He was always so thoughtful, you thought, still leaning against him and not moving away. You had no idea what he got out of being a villain - well, aside from tax fraud, a bunch of other illegal activities and some very, very strange substances you were not going to touch, ever - but you were happy to see him happy. He deserved it.
"They needed that too," Silver said in this moment, nodding at the crowd. "This city hasnât quite been the same since that villain attacked. Theyâre relieved to have you back and seeing us fight harmlessly should put more demons to rest."
You hadnât even thought about that, too caught up in your own trauma as you had been. You looked back at the people and you saw that he was right. There was a visceral relief on many faces, a giddiness that was born half out of the silliness of the situation and half out of a release of fear-filled tension.
They had been even more helpless than you had been. Civilians with no combat abilities and absolutely no chance to survive the Class A villain. All they had been able to do was run while they had to watch you bleed and break and still stand up again and again.
Oh.Â
A quiet realization struck you down to your core. You had wondered why people had been polite but not overly warm with the substitute hero. He had sent you regular updates on villain activity and how his patrols had gone, even if it had taken you a while before you had gotten the guts to read it all instead of only the summary.Â
He had mentioned that people didnât seem all that curious about him and he had sulked about that a bit.
All this time you had thought that you had failed them, these people who grinned and waved when they saw you. Who didnât hesitate to call you away from the street and ask for help or offer you sweets or lunch when you had been patrolling for hours. People who let you hold their babies or hugged you when you brought their lost pets back.
But they hadnât seen a failure that day months ago. They had seen you, standing between them and certain death and refusing to give up, no matter what. All because you wanted to protect them with all you had.
"Hey, whatâs wrong?" Silverâs worried voice cut into your thoughts and when you glanced at him, his brows were furrowed. "Why are you crying? Do you need me to switch off my baby and back up?"
"Iâm fine," you croaked weakly, though you totally were tearing up. "Iâm just glad to be back, donât read too much into it."
Silverâs face softened with a quiet bit of relief and he hummed in understanding. "Iâm glad, too, by the way," he said after a moment. "To have you back that is. I may have been a wee bit lonely."
You raised an eyebrow, glad that no tears had spilled over. "You saw me almost every day."
"But not like this," Silver said. "Donât get me wrong, I love watching you destroy the machines of the obstacle course or absolutely ace the simulations, but I missed going up against you like this."
You rubbed the back of your neck, straightening from your slouch against him. "You always say things like that with a straight face." You both admired him for it and felt envious. Sometimes you wished you could just simply say what was on your mind as well.
Silver smiled, a little lopsided and crooked. "Lifeâs short, so who cares what others think," he said. "All I care about is living every day the best I can."
You knew what he meant by that. He had told you a bit more about his fight against Terra after modifying some more simulations for you. You had even seen a glimpse of the patchwork of scars that fight had left on him, many of them surgery scars. He had barely survived his debut as a villain. His ever first fight and it had been against Terra.
"You know, I wanted to make the butts bigger," he said before you could say anything, smoothly but obviously changing the topic. "But there was only so much I could fit into Ass Kicker 50 and that just wouldnât do."
"Are you going to run out of butts soon?" you wondered.
Silver hummed thoughtfully. "I guess there is a minute of pelting left at most."
The two of you waited until the machine stuttered and began to slow, the wheel of boots no longer finding marshmallows to kick into the crowd. Silver gestured grandly for you to go ahead and you pressed the dead switch with a small smile.
"Well then." He clapped his hands together. "I guess I should say hello to my favorite warden. He is ever so happy to see me every time."
You couldnât help but snort, then you hesitated. "You know, you could justâŚgo."
Silver actually looked a little insulted. "Donât ruin my date with prison, my dear." He beckoned you closer with a finger, presenting his hands. "I want to see if I can walk out the front door dressed like a futuristic clown."
You blinked, in the middle of pulling out your cuffs. "What would that look like?"
He smirked as you reached out towards him. "I guess youâll have to find out." He leaned in as your hands closed the cuffs around his wrists, warm skin pressed to warm skin and cold metal between. "Iâll make sure to make the news for you."
"Alright," you said, bemused and curious in equal measure. You noticed how warm he was, this close to you, your hands covering his. His breath smelled faintly of peppermint. "Come on, there are two new officers on the roaster who are eager to prove you canât slip past them."
His face lit up. "Oooh, fun." He chuckled, low and menacing and for once sounding like the villain he was. "I do love ruining their day. Shattered dreams taste ever so delicious."
You rolled your eyes fondly, waving the waiting police over. They hurriedly hid the marshmallow butts they were snacking on and bustled over, trying to look important and menacing. Even if Silver was a very polite and very wonderful villain, he was still wanted for a number of crimes and the state really wanted to prosecute him.
"Be gentle with Ass Kicker 50," you told the clean-up crew who came in to tow the machine away to a storage facility. "Sheâs done good service."
When you looked back over to Silver, you caught the warm, unbearably fond smile as he watched you on his way to the police car. He cast you a wink as he got in, mouthing, 'Clown'. You playfully wrinkled your nose at him and saw more than heard him laugh as the door was closed.
"Um." A soft, hesitant voice made you look over and you immediately recognized the girl who had approached you. The teenager who had nearly died at your side months ago. "Iâm very happy youâre back and that you made a full recovery." She thrust out a small gift. "Thank you, for saving my life."
"And mine." One of her friends bustled over, holding a little wrapped gift as well. "If not for you, I wouldnât have made it."
You felt speechless, accepting the gifts hesitantly and that seemed to open the floodgates. You were swiftly surrounded by people thanking you and expressing their concern and relief in equal measure. Your arms soon overflowed with gifts, flowers from the elderly, drawn pictures from children and baked cookies from grateful parents. It nearly made you cry.
You did cry a little when you got home, sniffling as you sat in a pile of gifts, reading letters and smiling at the graceless but enthusiastic scribbles of a five year old. Suzie was curled up in your lap, fast asleep as a small bundle of warmth.
You taped all the pictures to one wall and pinned the letters to an old, large pinboard you had gotten a few years ago. You put the food away and the flowers into a vase and scattered the rest of the gifts across your flat in a smattering of decorations.
It had mattered. Ever single moment you had felt helpless and terrified had mattered. You hadnât been a footnote on some document, lamenting a too early death. Because of you, so many futures still existed, those bright, burning lives not snuffed out by a cruel hand.
You would continue growing stronger for them all, you vowed to yourself. Even if you needed Silver to end the fight and save you again, you would be there. Standing between evil and everyone else as many times as it took.
For the first time in months, you felt like a hero again, too.
You dozed off with the news channel on and jerked awake sometime in the early morning hours just in time to blearily watch a repeated clip of Silver, dressed as a sparkly, futuristic clown, moonwalk dancing out of prison. There it was, his famous, Class A skill of getting out of trouble in the most ridiculous ways.
You were chuckling softly to yourself, reaching out to fish your phone from your coffee table. You already had a message waiting for you.
'Watch me, darling.'
You were still half asleep when you answered, a golden feeling like honey on warm bread filling your chest, 'Always.'
You hesitated, then tapped out one more message, 'If you have any more inventions, Iâm ready.'
He answered immediately. 'Oh, darling.' It read and you could hear the glee in his voice in your mind, could imagine the way he brightened. 'I was hoping youâd say that.'
You loved this ridiculous, wonderful man so much, you thought, still bleary and half asleep. Your heart felt so full with good things it felt as though it was spilling over to the point where you had to squeeze a pillow, hiding a wide grin against it."
A Heroâs Return
Continuation of this little short story. No particular warnings, but let me know if I should tag something.
***
âReady when you are.â
It felt as though the message was burning a hole into your pocket as you stared at your hero costume. Freshly laundered, repaired perfectly after your fight with that telekinetic villain and just as practical and flashy as before. It shouldnât be scary.
Your hands werenât trembling when you put it on, but it was a near thing. It helped to know that Silver was waiting on the other side, not a floating terror ready and willing to kill. If you failed, no civilians would get hurt or killed. You would not die knowing you had been utterly useless, or wake up miraculously to find hundreds of people dead because you hadnât been strong enough.
You had grown stronger, you knew you had. Enough so, in fact, that the hero association had recently bumped you up to Class B. Which was a little frightening, you had never played in the upper leagues before and while you knew you were part of the bottom crowd of Class B, it was still very different to your comfortable, quiet little Class C.
You took a few deep breaths after buckling the last of your gear in place and you stared at the mirror, realizing that the costume didnât fit like it used to. You had gained muscle and a bit of weight andâŚit didnât look right anymore. The colors seemed too bright, the little fluttery accents you had once added to the design on a whim too useless.

Okay, so, the ask about yandere platonic dick cheating and how the reader would react has me wondering; what would happen if the reader somehow found out that Dick didn't actually change and decided to go no contact, because they couldn't trust him or maybe because they just don't want to be around someone like that? Would that cause Dick to spiral more? What exactly would be the consequences of going no contact? (Like a complete cut off, although it'd be a bit hard to do that since they live in the same house)
(I was a bit disappointed to read that he probably wouldn't change, but it seemed realistic to me because habits are hard to break and everyone in the batfam is messed up. Although, I imagine after years of therapy or something similar there might be some sort of change. But, I doubt anyone in the batfam is getting therapy... except maybe reader)
Sorry yeah, i don't like to think Dick is actually a cheater or this shitty. I just like to humor different scenarios i get requested. But you cannot deny that this man is a messy whore. THIS IS THE FACE OF EVILLL
context
Look, cheaters are so sloppy. Even the ones who put the most effort into it are always bound to slip up. I imagine batsis isn't a fool. Like Richard...no way did you just go from being a serial cheater to suddenly being completely cleansed. You're an addict baby boy.
Like i said at first he's actually wanting to get clean for his baby sis and to be a good role model. I think it'd be very obvious to you that he's actually trying. He's irritable and really struggling to cope with the fact he has to put the phone down. You can see him obsessively checking his phone for what you'd assume to be a message or notification from one of his hookups. You can tell he's torn up about loosing his partners because he came clean about his unethical practices....
There's no hiding. This is such a deep seeded issue and it is really taking a toll on him. This is something like you said will need YEARS of therapy to fix.
So now Dick is trying to bullshit you a few days later...right in front of your salad! He's just sooo happy and he's proud about this new leaf turned????? Yesterday he looked like he was about to breakdown in tears because he'd been abstinent for just 48 hrs...and now he's glowing???
Dick, your patrol ended at 2 am last night...you came home at 6 am...please don't play with me rn.
not me getting heated. lol
He doesn't explicitly tell you he's back to his old ways. He's willing to keep lying his way into keeping you and this habit but it's undeniable. You know that his gf only forgave him because he lied to her too. It makes you sick when you saw the text of him telling her that he's busy with family and then left out for the rest of the day to go be with someone else.
Maybe you explode on him about it? Last time you were as nice as you could be about it but you cannot deal with the games anymore.
I liked to think in this scenario you're yelling at him and he's just still gas-lighting you, He throws every card to make you feel bad for accusing him. It absolute drives you mad. He's just so calm while you're are trying not to strangle him.
"Baby bat, i love you. I think you're just tired and are imagining things. You're convincing yourself that i'm still the old Dick because you're hurting...i understand and I forgive you. Maybe we should set up therapy sessions to help you let go of the past? Hmm?"
"YOU MOTHER FU-"
Ugh but i love him he's so fucked
The irony of him suggesting you therapy when he's the one riddles with mommy issues and the most insane coping mechanisms...
Dick isn't going to allow you to go no contact. You cannot go no contact with someone you live in the same house with. You are bound to interact and when you are dealing with someone like dick...it just won't work. The bat kids are extremely resilient and are well versed in making someone crack. You wouldn't be the exception.
More realistically you'd probably just be cold towards Dick. That's the best you can do. Not really responding to him and basically stone walling...
But i imagine this version of Dick to be much more forceful. He's done with your self righteousness. How dare you suggest moving out. That isn't an option because he needs to see his baby sister everyday. You are breaking up the family over this. You cannot cut him off because he's flawed...it's not that serious y/n. None of the other siblings are breathing down his neck. Maybe if you weren't so frustrating..he could actually become a better person. You are the one that is preventing him from being better with all your pressure!!
You packed your bags and are fully ready to walk out of this family for good because there's just too many wrong doings swept under the rug and here comes dick who is FUMING... He's trying to rip your bags out of your hands and grab you up..
You are not doing this to him. Stop being so-
Maybe your siblings step in and help you to leave. They help Dick calm down because they respect that it's your choice to live how you'd life.
Dick isn't stopping once you're gone. Especially if you're still in Gotham. There's a shadow that follows you where you go. Tons of messages and calls from unknown numbers. Even scarily enough..a blue toy bird left at your door with a small note that read
"Missed me, my little birdie? We'll be seeing each other again soon."

Frustrated ~ a blurb
word count: who cares
â ââシ⪠â ⍠シââ â
Joe was pissed. Thatâs as simply put as anyone could make it. The second he left the coachesâ room after another bullshit meeting, he was dialing your number.
They lost to the Eagles and everyone is already blaming him. Sure, he was gonna blame himself anyway, but heâs actually starting to get sick of it.
Sick of the organization using him as a coverup. Sick of Taylor not taking any kind of responsibility. Sick of the media flaming him whenever he moves- since when did his hair have to do with how he played?
So when you arrived at his home, in his shirt with your phone up to your ear, he said fuck it. He took your phone, dropped it in your bag, and then chucked it by the door so he could grab your hips and pull you close until your lips shared one breath.
The kiss was harsh, his need to devour you taking precedence over comfort. His fingers gripped your hips as his tongue controlled your lips. He nipped, bit, and sucked on your plump lips until your back hit the couch.
You had no time to wonder how he had moved you without knowing because he was back on you. Sucking dark marks into your neck, moving the jersey, his jersey aside to kiss down to your breasts until there was too much resistance.
"Why the fuck are you wearing this?" His voice is breathless and gruff as he asks what's supposed to be a simple question.
"I watched your gam-
In a flash, his number is pulled off your body, and he's back on your lips, muffling any other words that could leave your mouth. "Fuck the game."
The next few minutes were a blur as clothes were tossed off and his hands seared their path down your body until he was gripping your bare thighs as you sunk down on his thick cock.
âFuck, you feel so good.â He sighs breathlessly, into your ear.
You whine in response, your tight walls trying get use to the burning stretch. Your nails creating crescent shaped indents in his strong shoulders.
Rough groans and grunts vibrate your skin as he leaves slick bites and purple bruises on your neck to hold back from fucking up into you too early.
âBaby, tell me I can move- please.â
A whimper and a light nod give him all the assurance to slowly lift you and give you a harsh trial thrust of his hips.
It doesn't take long for all your discomfort to fade away, and enjoy the pleasure of him kindly bullying your walls.
But you can't not notice his grip on your hips tightening while his hips meet yours hesitantly and almost too softly.
His pearly teeth buried in his plump lip til it's red and raw and his head thrown back but not from bliss.
You slow your hips down to a slow grind, lean forward, and make him face you. "Joe?"
Your small voice calls him from his head, from his frustrations with his job, and he tilts it towards you. "Yeah, baby?"
His voice is filled with a rough need, only one you can satiate. He needs to feel in control, to forget about the outside world, to use his frustrations and feel whole.
You watch the turmoil in his ocean eyes while he waits for you to speak, not knowing where this will go. You gently hold his head, run your fingers through his growing hair's sides, and lean your forehead against his. "You know I trust you, right?"
He blinks, his eyes narrowing, and then he nods. "I know."
You smile, then place a chaste kiss on his bitten lips. "Then ruin me."
And just like that, he flipped the switch and stopped thinking.

Do it for them - Co-captain reader x Curly
Previous - Part 10 - Next
Daisuke: "Do you need anything else? I can give you my cookies if you like."
You were sitting in the bathroom, hugging your legs, your body trembling, you had a bucket of hot water and a cup to wet your body with it.
Daisuke was keeping you company outside, sitting and making small talk, trying to cheer you up.
Your body was covered in red marks from the number of times you had rubbed the sponge against your skin.
"It's not necessary"
Daisuke: "It wasn't your fault"
"I should have launched him into space when I had the chance."
Daisuke: "Like among us?"
His comment was so strange that you couldn't help but laugh for a second; it had caught you completely off guard.
"Exactly"
Daisuke: "Would you feel better if we do it now? Let's say he went out to fix the ship and got lost in space by accident!"
You kept laughing at his words, it made you happy to have him with you.
"Thank you for making me company"
You couldn't see him, but you were sure he was smiling with pride.
Daisuke: "Hey... he... you are not... You know...?"
That question brought you back to reality, looking at your body and sighing.
"No, I can't get pregnant Daisuke, don't worry about it."
Daisuke: "Anya told me everything and... I felt horrible... Useless... Maybe I could have done something and-"
"No one could do anything, it's not our fault for trusting people, the only one to blame here is Jimmy."
You finished rinsing off with water so you could go out and get dressed.
When he saw you leave, he got up from the ground to walk by your side.
Daisuke: "Are you going to launch him into space?"
"If you keep bringing up that idea, I'm going to give in to temptation."
You smiled at him to go check how the ship's trajectory was going; according to the calculations, there were only two weeks left to reach the station.
Daisuke: "What are you going to do when we get back home?"
"Well... I think I'm officially going to retire from space jobs... Maybe I'll dedicate myself to being a housewife during the day as a cover and a mobster at night to make money."
Daisuke: "Come on, tell me the truuuth" he said, laughing and pulling your arm.
"Well... I haven't thought it through yet, I've worked my whole life here, and now that they're going to fire us, I..."
Daisuke: "What would you like to do?"
You looked at him somewhat confused, as if you hadn't quite understood his question.
Daisuke: "You know! What did you dream you would be when you were little?"
"You're going to think it's stupid."
Daisuke: "Nooo! Of course not! I wanted to be a firefighter when I was little, but then I wanted to go to art school, although my parents didn't like that idea much at first - and when I couldn't get in, they got me this."
"....I wanted... to be a pastry chef"
Daisuke: "Seriously?? That's awesome! You should start trying when we get back!"
"Maybe I'll give it a chance..."
You stopped in front of the nursery and gave Daisuke a look to say goodbye to him before going inside of that room.
You went straight to sit next to Curly.
"I already know"
Those were your only words, and immediately he started to gasp, trying to speak to you but nothing came out of his mouth.
"I told you, for years, that man was a jerk, that he would only bring you trouble. You had to see his atrocities to believe it, didn't you? It had to hurt you for you to realize... You didn't listen to me, or to Anya... Now you'll have that on your conscience for the rest of your life."Â
You closed your eyes for a moment to avoid seeing him, but you could hear their sobs.
"I hope you have learned because... if something like this happens again... You can forget about me forever."
You lowered your head until you gently rested it on his chest.
"I forgive you... Because you have forgiven me when I have done horrible things... I forgive you... Because it's not your fault wanting to see the good in everyone but..."Â
You raised your gaze to look directly at his face.
"You can't make everyone happy, you'll always have to choose someone... Now you... Who do you choose?"
You were surprised when you felt his arm on your back, as if he were trying to hug you tightly, assuring you that he would always choose you.

Heluu can you do Ni-ki when you say the safe word?
Safe Word - Nishimura Riki
What started off with a simple make-out session had turned into full-on sex. It was late though and you were already tired from the long day you'd had so you figured it'd only be one round so you could both come and fall asleep but that was not the case.
Riki had been severely horny and needing you all day long so once you finally got home from work after also going to school beforehand, he finally took out his sexual frustration on you. Meaning that what you thought was one round ended up being more than a handful.
You were to the point of pure overstimulation while Riki still wasn't quite done. It wasn't like you'd told him to stop or expressed anything negative so you didn't blame him for not stopping. Nor were you feeling anything negative really. You liked being like this with him; you were so vulnerable. Today was just a lot and you were severely overstimulated not only by life but by how long the two of you'd been going.
Suddenly, you found yourself blurting out your safe word, something you never thought you'd do. Immediately, your boyfriend stops his movements as he looks into your eyes, wondering what is wrong.
"Did I hurt you, baby?" He asked.
"No." You say in a shy voice.
"Then tell me what's wrong." Riki asked, not in a demanding way but in a soft tone.
"It's just too much. I can't go anymore." You sniffled. "I'm sorry."
"You don't have to apologize, babe. You don't. It's okay." He said as he pecked your cheek and slowly pulled out of you.
"I feel bad." You confess.
"Don't feel bad. We have the safe word for a reason, right?" Riki said, making you sit up with him. You nod in agreement as you look down at his chest.
"I love you so much, baby." He said, holding you close to him, sensing that everything was just a lot right now.
"I love you too." You say in return.
"It's good that you told me it's too much." Riki said as he rested his chin on your head.
"But, now you're left unsatisfied..." You sigh.
He pulls away and makes you look at him, "I could never be unsatisfied with you. Trust me." He says in a more serious tone.
"Are you sure?" You ask.
"I'm sure." He nods. "I wouldn't even be unsatisfied if we didn't fuck at all because I love you so much. This relationship isn't about just that."
"You don't have to worry about that." You say, referring to him not being able to fuck me. You were too horny for that and you simply craved that intimacy with him and he knew it.
He laughs, "I know but I'm just saying." Riki says.
"I think I just need to go to sleep. Today was just.." You trail off but you don't need to say anything more.
"I know. Let's get some sleep." Riki agrees before pecking your forehead.

đ˛ŕŁŞ Ö´ÖśÖ¸ ď¸Ö´ÖśÖ¸ GUARDED HEARTS đ¤. â yang jungwon.
âş CONTENT: non-idol au, jungwon is reader's bodyguard, reader is female, reader is a CEO, office romance, jealous jungwon, cursing, confession and kissing.
âş FROM HYE: finally writing something for my man holy shit!!!! ok but something about jealous jungwon just hits different⌠might expand on this and turn this into a full chaptered fic but weâll see. @riekiss
The soft hum of the city outside your office window seemed distant compared to the rhythmic tapping of your fingers against the keyboard. The warm glow of the desk lamp cast a gentle light over the stack of contracts and reports strewn across your desk, its glow highlighting the faint furrow in your brow as you worked through the latest company updates.
The pristine office, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and modern decor, was a testament to your meticulous attention to detail. You were engrossed in your current task, eyes glued to your computer screen that you were oblivious to a presence that had entered your office.Â
âMiss, you need a break,â came a familiar, low voice from the corner of the room. You did not need to glance up to know it was himâJungwon, your ever-present shadow and trusted bodyguard.Â
A soft chuckle escaped you. âAnd whoâs going to finish these reports if I do?â You did not pause, eyes still scanning the lines of financial data, but you could feel the weight of his gaze on youâsteady, unwavering.Â
He stepped closer, the subtle rustle of his movements sending a shiver down your spine. Out of the corner of your eye, you caught his reflection in the window: sharp suit and dark eyes with an unreadable depth.Â
âIf it means you get some rest, Iâll finish them myself,â he said, the faintest hint of a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. You couldnât help but look up at that, meeting his eyes fully for the first time that night.
âCareful, Jungwon,â you teased, leaning back in your chair. âThat almost sounded like concern. One would think youâve fallen head over heels for me.âÂ
Your bodyguard merely smiled, remaining silent. He moved closer, now standing on your left as he reached over to rest his hand above yours. The physical touch made your fingers freeze in midair, hovering over the keyboard. You glanced up, eyes widening when you realized just how close he was. The soft scent of his cologne enveloped you, a blend of something dark and alluring that made your pulse quicken.Â
He braced one hand on the back of your chair, his body leaning forward ever so slightly. The closeness made the air feel charged, a delicate tension crackling between you that held you frozen in place.Â
âYouâre only doing yourself more harm if you continue pushing yourself like this,â he said.Â
Your heart stopped for a moment, caught in the intensity of his gaze. The proximity left you breathless, aware of every minute detail: the way his hair fell just slightly over his forehead, the shadow of his lashes, and the faint line of tension in his expression.Â
âJungwon,â you whispered, the sound barely breaking the silence.Â
You caught the way his eyes flickered to your parted lips, followed by his eyes darkening before he reeled himself back. Jungwon straightened himself, instantly moving away and you ignored how your heart shattered at the sudden distance between you. He walked round the table and moved to the door, hand hovering over the doorknob before he turned his head to you, an unreadable expression on his face.Â
âWe should get going, Miss. Iâll wait for you outside.âÂ
That was all he said before he left without waiting for your response, leaving you sitting on your chair, drowning in your own emotions.Â
~
The low hum of conversations and clinking glasses filled the grand ballroom, the air heavy with expensive cologne and the shimmer of chandeliers casting a warm glow over the guests. You stood at the centre of it all, an image of poised confidence in your custom-made dress that perfectly complemented your presence as CEO. But behind the sharp, practised smile you offered to investors and curious onlookers, you felt the weight of a different set of eyes.Â
Jungwon stood a discreet distance away, his dark suit tailored impeccably to his lean frame. His eyes, deep and sharp, followed your every move with a mix of duty and something unspoken. As your bodyguard, he was vigilant, always on guard, but tonight there was something different. Tonight, the attention directed your way was not just an annoyance; it was just a provocation.Â
A man in a slick, navy-blue suit, whose confidence bordered on arrogance, had been trying to monopolise your attention for the past thirty minutes. His flattery was persistent, punctuated by sly smiles and light touches to your arm that made your patience waver. You kept your responses polite but distant, eyes flickering occasionally to the corner where Jungwon stood.Â
It was only when the man reached out to tuck an imaginary strand of hair behind your ear that a quiet, lethal voice interrupted, cutting through the air like a blade.Â
âThatâs enough. Youâre making her uncomfortable and I'd greatly appreciate it if you could leave her alone,â Jungwon said, stepping forward, his expression calm but his eyes betrayed the storm within. The man hesitated, glancing between you and the bodyguard with a nervous laugh before making a pathetic excuse and slipped away.Â
You turned to Jungwon, raising an eyebrow, but before you could speak, he had grabbed your wrist and tugged you along, forcing you to follow him. You had no idea where he was taking you but you trust him with your entire life. Both of you turned a blind eye to the numerous curious stares thrown your way from the other guests. Eventually, you arrived at a balcony and Jungwon dropped your wrist, walking forward until he reached the railings and rested his elbows on the cool surface.Â
You awkwardly lingered behind, eyes trained on his broad shoulders, hesitant to break the silence. âJungwon, I-âÂ
âDo you have any idea how crazy you make me feel?â He interrupted, his voice was low, almost strained as he fully turned to face you. You gulped at the intensity in his eyesâdark, stormy, and barely contained.Â
You blinked, momentarily caught off-guard by the raw emotion in his voice. âJungwon, whatââ
âYouâre out there, smiling at everyone like that, letting them think they have a chance,â he continued, stepping closer, his usually composed expression now a mixture of frustration. His fingers flexed at his sides as if fighting the urge to touch you. To kiss you. âAnd I have to stand there, pretending it doesnât tear me apart.âÂ
The weight of his confession hung in the air between you, heavy and electric. You had always noticed the small thingsâthe way his eyes lingered a moment too long, the subtle tension in his jaw when someone flirted with youâbut hearing him say it out loud was different. It made your pulse quicken.Â
âJungwonâŚâ You started, but your words died on your lips as he stepped closer.Â
âNo,â he interrupted, his tone softening but losing none of its intensity. âI canât keep pretending that protecting you is just a job, not when every time someone gets too close, I feel like Iâm going to lose my mind.â
Your breath caught in your throat, heart hammering as his eyes searched yours for any sign of hesitation. But there was noneâonly the unspoken truth you both had avoided for too long. Before you could respond, he closed the distance, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that was both urgent and tender. You felt light-headed with how heavenly his lips felt against yours, like he was the final puzzle piece you needed to complete a puzzle. You returned the kiss, melting into his touch while his hands found your waist, fingers pressing lightly into your sides.Â
When you finally broke apart, breathless, he rested his forehead against yours, eyes soft with an emotion that spoke volumes.Â
âTell me Iâm not the only one who feels this way,â Jungwon whispered, his voice barely audible with faint hope.Â
âYouâre not,â you replied, a smile tugging at your lips before you pulled him down for another kiss.Â

Little Legends
Eggskin leaned out of the medbay with both scaly hands full of disassembled electronics. âAre you free to run a quick errand?â they asked with the air of someone hoping the answer was yes.
âSure,â I said, stopping in the hall. âDid something break?â
âI thought it was fixable, but no.â Eggskin rotated a couple pieces and fit them back together, revealing what looked like part of a medscanner. âWaste of time. At least this isnât the good one for diagnosing, just the one for checking boxes. But we do need a replacement if you can get it.â
I mentally ran down the list of stores Iâd spotted on this space station. âYeah, I think I saw an electronics place that should have those. And weâre not going to leave for a while yet.â
âExcellent, thank you.â Eggskin looked relieved. âIâd go myself, but I have several other items in need of a tune-up.â
âNo problem. Iâll let the captain know, then be right on it.â With a wave from me and further thanks from Eggskin, I headed off to find the captain.
Warm light spilled from the crew lounge as I passed. I mentally patted myself on the back for moving my sun lamp in there for everybody to enjoy. Humans may need their vitamin D, but Heatseekers craved warmth, and didnât always want to ask for it. Paint was currently curled up on the biggest couch, along with Telly: a pile of mottled orange scales and mismatched fur. The cat had also started in just my quarters but moved on to spend time in the rest of the ship.
They looked awfully happy there in the light of the tiny, hovering, artificial sun. Maybe Iâd bring a book in and take a seat on the other couch later. Right now, I had a bio-scanner to find. And while it would have been perfectly ironic for Captain Sunlight to be basking in the lounge as well, she was elsewhere.
I found her in the cargo bay, double-checking a new stack of boxes with Zhee. She held a clipboard in her scaly yellow hands while he moved things with his shiny purple pincher arms. They were a study in contrasts. When I told her where I was going, she was glad to hear it.
âEggskin said there was something wrong with that scanner,â she agreed with a nod. âI wondered why they were using the good one earlier. Go ahead; Iâll make a note of the payment.â
âRighto.â I left the pair of them to rearrange the boxes, trusting that the captain would remember to note the payment later. Her memory was good, and sheâd been in charge of the finances even before getting promoted. (The previous captain had only been good at delegating. When he got politely booted off the ship for incompetence, everyone agreed that Sunlight should take over. She hadnât felt like giving someone else more work to do when she was already familiar with the shipâs record-keeping, so she just did both.) (She was good at both. It worked out well.)
I was good at other things, and one of them was recognizing when human-run stores were likely to have quality products. Luckily there was one such store in the nearest commerce sector.
I left the ship and strolled along a moving sidewalk at a delightfully fast pace, passing station-goers of a range of species, many of which were content with regular walking speed. One Mesmer rushed past in a blur of coppery bug legs, exoskeleton liberally decorated with metal inlays and their attitude suggesting they were late for a flight. The various Heatseekers, Frillians, and others gave them a wide berth.
The hum of a high-end jetpack made me duck, worrying Iâd get accidentally kicked in the head. But no, it was higher than Iâd thought. And the human using it only had one leg, which probably helped my odds anyway.
I wonder if that came from the same place Iâm going, I thought. It seemed likely, since my destination was just coming into view past the big media store. Under the space stationâs vaulted ceiling and silver-and-blue color scheme, the âEarthly Electronics Emporiumâ was an eyecatching collection of green circuitry. The big front windows had a whole section on jetpacks and hover-belts. I wondered if they were made by the same manufacturer as the ones Captain Sunlight had been looking into for a client.
Possibly. But we didnât want to wipe out all the stock in this place, not when the client was content to wait while we gathered the rest of their order from the planet we were scheduled to visit next.
All in good time. Right now, bio-scanners.
I stepped off the moving sidewalk with a careful eye for momentum, and I didnât stumble. Upholding human reputation, go me. With my head high, I entered the Earthly Electronics Emporium.
It was very green inside too. Not quite as bright as the outside, but somebody had really decided to lean in on the color scheme. I strolled between green shelves designed to look like circuit boards, on green tiles that glittered with LEDs, under ceiling lights that were mostly white, just with enough green paint around them that they could have been green too. At least the labels were easy to read.
There were a few other people in the store: mostly a group of humans chatting by the counter. It sounded like one was teaching the others a space shanty, which just made me smile.
Then I found what I was looking for, and I grinned in triumph. Got it. Letâs see here ⌠âGood for everything from fleas to termites to truly exotic problems.â That sounds promising. I read the label thoroughly, and decided it was exactly what our courier ship needed for checking the crates we brought onboard. We hadnât had to deal with an accidental infestation yet â well, not one that a cat or two couldnât solve â and we didnât want to.
I took it up to the counter.
When I got there, I was surprised to recognize the guy singing the shanty. When he caught sight of me, he broke off with a smile. âHey, good to see you! Thanks so much for the advice; the animal calls and the caffeine went perfectly.â
âAwesome! Good to see you too!â I set down the scanner so I could return the handclasp-and-hug while he introduced me to his friends, including the guy behind the counter.
He told them, âThis is the one I told you about, the human whoâs done everything!â
âWell,â I said humbly, getting immediately talked over as Oscar told the others about how his large and intimidating alien crewmates had been disappointed that he didnât live up to all the stories theyâd heard about human antics, which had all, somewhat embarrassingly, been about me.
âBut then she told me that imitating animal calls was impressive â and it was; I called in things for them to hunt, and they were amazed â and sheâs the one who told me that the Mighty were lightweights on caffeine.â He grinned while they all chuckled. âYou already know how that went!â
I was privately glad to see him so animated and social, since the only other time weâd met, heâd been pretty dejected about his lot in life. I asked for details on his adventures and he was happy to tell them, with the other humans chipping in to add that they touched base regularly now, since Oscarâs ship was making regular stops at this station, and most of them lived here.
âAre you staying long?â Oscar asked me. âYou should really meet Aster. Heâs been writing songs about human stuff, and heâs probably got some of your legends in there. He just started one about caffeine, thanks to me!â He beamed in pride.
âThatâs great! Iâd love to, but weâre leaving in a little bit,â I said. âMaybe next time we stop by.â
âI hope so! His songs are really good. I was just telling these guys about the new one. Have you heard it yet?â He launched into a melody. âThiiiiis pirate ship was the scourge of the spaceways, stealing goods with their threats and their gunplay. The scariest ship that you ever did see ⌠Until they met the skunk.â
I snorted and covered my mouth, eyes wide. I didnât want to say it, but somehow he guessed.
âDonât tell me,â Oscar declared, stopping the song. âSomehow that was you too.â
âNot directly,â I protested. âAnd maybe there are other skunks out there! Keep going.â
He sang the rest of the song, which told the story of some foolhardy pirates who didnât believe the rumors of a merchant vessel with a hazardous Earth creature onboard. They wound up having to abandon their ship and let it fall into the nearest sun, ending their days as âthe smelliest ne-er-do-wells that planet had ever seen.â
I applauded along with everyone else. âThat is a great song! And I donât know if thatâs the skunk I knew or not. I did give one to a human on a merchant ship. But it had its stink gland removed, so maybe itâs a different one.â
An older woman laughed. âOr maybe Aster took some storytelling liberties with the song. It wouldnât be the first time.â
Oscar shook his head, still grinning. âMaybe!â
Then it turned into a storytelling session about skunk anecdotes, and while I could have happily enjoyed that conversation for quite a while, I did have a ship to get back to.
The guy behind the counter rang up the sale for me, charging it to the shipâs account successfully. âWhat a great name,â he said, reading off his screen. âGotta love a ship called Slap the Stars.â
I told him, âIt was named after the human tradition of high fives!â That derailed the conversation even further, and it was with real regret that I had to leave.
A couple of the others said they had places to go as well. Casual hugs for everyone, and suddenly it was like being back home for the holidays. After several tight embraces, I realized Iâd been missing that and not realized.
I said goodbye to my fellow humans and promised to check in next time I was in town, then took the bio-scanner back to the ship. The moving sidewalk was just as quick in this direction.
Paint and Telly were still in the lounge when I passed. I gave Eggskin the scanner, checked in with the captain at the cockpit, then grabbed a book from my room.
âMind if I join you?â I asked Paint.
âSure; thereâs plenty space!â She uncurled enough to wave at the broad expanse of couch.
Telly made a feline âMrrp,â then put her head back down.
I found the sun lampâs controls on the table, next to the box of accessories, and turned it up just a smidge. Then I lay down between Paint and the back of the couch, with my book above her head.
She made happy noises about the extra warmth, and Telly mrrpâd again.
From the door to the hall, something hissed, then Zheeâs voice complained, âWhy is it so bright in here?â
Paint didnât look up as she declared, âBasking is a time-honored form of enrichment.â
âI fail to see the appeal.â
âHang on,â I said, sitting up long enough to grab an effects adapter from the box on the table. Iâd checked before; these would stay in place even with just half of the cover. I clipped on the most colorful and glitterific galaxy adapter to the far side of the sun lamp, turning half of the lounge into a space disco that any self-respecting Mesmer would love.
Zhee was no exception. âNow that is lovely,â he said, clicking his way into the room. âWhy didnât you do that to start with?â
He made himself comfortable with a media screen while I settled back into place with my book and cuddle puddle.
Murâs voice said from the hallway, âWhy is it so bright in here?â
Zhee said, âEnrichment.â
Paint said, âYou can join us if you like.â
I smiled. âI have a great new space shanty that I think youâll enjoy.â

đđđ đđđđđĄđđ đđđŁđ || Austin Butler
⢠Summary : Austin and you have been close friends since you were teenagers. However, you have never worked together as actors, and certainly not in a movie where you are a couple.
⢠Pairing : Austin Butler x Priscilla actress! reader
⢠Warnings : first kiss, confessing love, overall fluff
⢠Note : I hope this is not overrated, but I just had to write Austin x actress reader and especially one where you (reader) are playing Priscilla and him being Elvis đŠ
You and Austin have known each other for many years. You've been friends since you were teenagers, but never in your wildest dreams would you two have imagined playing Elvis and Priscilla together.
But there it is, and here you are. On the set of Elvis. You and Austin. From the first moments when you started working on the film and started spending more time together, you couldn't help it but catch feelings for him.
But you were afraid that Austin didn't have it that way. Or maybe he has? Probably not. You were just in backstage watching Austin give a breathtaking performance as Elvis. It was almost impossible how flawlessly he could imitate him. The voice, the singing, the look... The hair....
"Y/n...? Earth is calling Y/n." you heard a familiar voice in your thoughts. And in fact, that voice brought you back to reality. Looking up slightly you saw Tom Hanks in his Colonel Parker costume. "Oh, Tom! Hi-" you said as soon as you were brought back.
"Hello there. I see you're amazed just as I am." he said, sitting beside you. "Yeah," you smiled. "He's really incredible. He sounds exactly like him." you complimented your colleague, and heard Baz yell 'Cut!'.
"Right... What's up between you two, anyway?" The question almost took your breath away. You looked at Tom, frozen, taken aback. "Uhm... What do you mean?"
"Well, I can't unsee the way you two are together, you know." Tom spent a lot of time with the two of you, but is it this obvious to everyone that you're completely into him? "You like him, don't you?" he suddenly added.
"Am I that noticeable? How do you know?â you asked nervously. "Y/n, I know what two people in love look like. Maybe it's the way you two look at each other, how you treat each other." Tom was right. In past few months, you have been treating him and he was treating you with such a much more intimacy or connection.
"Yeah, well... I do like him, but I'm afraid. What if it's not both sided?" Tom straightened his position, smiling at you in such a warm way. "I wouldn't be afraid of that," he said suddenly. "If only you knew how he talks about you when you're not around, you'd be surprised."
You looked at Tom, speechless. Austin talking about you? "How?" you were so curious. "Very sweetly, Y/n. I've never seen someone speak so nicely about a woman like he does about you. And it's true what he said, by the way."
Just as soon as Tom said this you looked at Austin who was looking at you. As soon as you made eye contact, Austin smiled - just like he always does when he sees you. "Young love..." Tom added, patting your shoulder as he stood up.
"Don't worry, tell him. Trust me you won't lose anything, quite the opposite.â he winked at you and walked away as Baz decided to call it a day with filming. Austin was still discussing something with the crew, and you were heading to the costume trailer to take off your outfit.
LATER THAT NIGHT...
You kept thinking about Tom's words. Is it really what he says? Austin talks this nice about you? Thoughts were flowing through your head more than ever. You left the costume trailer. Outside was already dark as the late evening air hit you. On your way to your trailer, you suddenly bumped into Austin.
"Y/n, h-hi!" Austin said. You could say you almost blushed the moment you realized it's him. "Hey Aus," you replied, your voice kinda trembling. His eyes were bright even in the street lights, water was dripping from his wet, currently black, hair, probably fresh from the shower. There was a moment of awkward silence as you noticed that Austin was carrying some boxes.
"Oh, um.. I may or may have not accidentally ordered two boxes of Chinese food, and I thought if you don't want to join me?" Your heart started to race. This never happened to you around him, but now, after what you've been told, it's different.
"I would love to." you smiled, and Austin and you headed to his trailer. Is it normal to be this nervous around your best friend? "So how was your day?" Austin asked, placing the food on the table as you sat down. "Mhm, well, demanding? Great?" you smiled.
"So nothin' new, huh?" Austin laughed. Gosh, you love him. "Actually, I saw you were watching while I did the singing scene, how did i do?" he asked, handing you the fork for your food. "You did damn well, Aus. You sound exactly like him."
Austin looked at you with warm smile, happy about your compliment. You guys started eating the food, talking about your day, about the film and everything else possible.
The conversation has slowed down, and thereâs this silence, one thatâs comfortable but filled with something unspoken. You feel your heart racing a little as Austin glances over at you, his gaze soft and thoughtful.
"Um, Y/n, you know," he began. The words were slipping out of his mouth, one by one, his voice soft yet deep. "I- There is something I have to talk about. Or maybe more, I have to tell you something." Here, you heart stopped. What's going on?
"Mhm?" you murmured to break the silence. "R-right," Austin took a deep breath. "Iâve been wanting to say this for so long, but I didnât know how. I didnât want to risk messing this up or losing you..." Whatever he wanted to say, you didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Lose? Lose how? You feel your pulse quicken, sensing the weight in his words.
âY/n, Iâve been in love with you since day one,â he continues, his gaze locking onto yours, vulnerable and open in a way youâve never seen before. âEvery moment with you, every smile, every little thing you do... it just made me fall deeper. I tried to keep it to myself, but being this close to you now, I canât hide it anymore. I donât want to hide it.â
He loves you? Did you hear that right? Did Austin, the boy you knew since you were 13, just said he loves you back? Your heart felt like it's going to jump out of your chest. He likes you, too.
In shock, you lost almost all the words that exist. You didn't know what to say, although you yourself knew very well what to answer. "Sorry if I threw it on you too quickly, I -"
"No," you breathed out in nervous laugh. "No, Austin, don't be sorry. I love you, too. I am completely in love with you more than words can explain. I feel the same, Aus.â you smiled.
After a few seconds, he reached over, tucking a stray piece of hair behind your ear, his fingertips brushing your skin gently. He let out a small, almost nervous laugh, his eyes flickering away for just a second before coming back to meet yours, more serious now.
âIâve wanted to do this for years,â he said, his voice low. Thereâs a warmth in his gaze that made everything around you seem to fade. He leaned in slowly, giving you a chance to close the space between you, or to pull away if you want. But you didnât pull away.
When Austin's lips touched yours, it was soft and tentative at first, almost as if he was savoring the moment as much as you were. But then, he deepened the kiss, his hand gently resting against your cheek as he draws you closer. The world felt like it stopped spinning, with only the warmth of his kiss and the feeling of his heart beating close to yours.
When you managed to break the kiss, he pressed his forehead against yours. Your heart was still racing, but now in much more pure way, almost as if the soft feelings grew stronger. The silence and sweet moment is broke by your phone ringing with message. "That's Tom," you say, opening the message.
Tom
He didn't order that food by mistake, but on purpose, I told him to do so. I knew I could make you date!
Both, Austin and you laughed. So actually Tom knew all along that you secretly loved each other and wanted to do everything to put you together. And well, he succeeded.

More Than This - Scott Miller
Summary: A late night in the library with Scott results in revelations.
Pairing: Scott Miller x F!Reader
Word Count: 3.2k
Warnings: Heavy making out, Scott is a bit of an ass, that's about it tbh
A/N: I'm a little nervous about this one, I'm not gonna lie. This one was born out of a "surprise kiss" prompt from @broadwaybaggins, so if you like it make sure to thank her. Thank you to @seeyalaterinnovator for looking this one over for me. I wrote this over the course of like a week and basically all of it was between the hours of 11pm and 3am, so if this sucks... Uh, sorry.
You were going to kill Scott Miller.
Not only had he chosen to sit at the table next to you, despite the desolation of the library at this time of night, but now all you could hear was the rhythmic smacking of his gum. That habit was one of many that had annoyed you since you two had first met, and fought, in your first class at MIT four years ago.
"Scott!" You snapped, staring at him as his head popped up to look at you. His brow furrowed slightly at you before he realized what was bothering you, a smirk taking over his face. He cracked his gum loudly, his face breaking into a triumphant smile at the sight of the muscle in your jaw jumping in annoyance.
"Were you born annoying or did that come later?" You asked, flipping the page of your notebook aggressively enough to rip it on a few of the top coils.
"Only since I met you," he replied, nonchalantly shrugging his shoulders. "You bring out the worst in me, what can I say?"
You rolled your eyes at him, eyes drifting back to your notebook as another self-satisfied crack of gum came from his tongue. You had seen the fear in the eyes of the library staff as they left and saw you and Scott staying behind for a late night of studying. You two had become infamous to the building for the fights that occurred over textbooks and private rooms, but you were determined to show that you could survive one night alone with him without resorting to violence. Even if he was making it incredibly difficult.
You shifted in your seat and attempted to refocus on the problem in front of you, but the formulas in your notebook had started to bleed together. You glanced at the clock on your laptop, scowling as it switched to 1:15am. Your body was screaming at you for sleep, but you knew that if you wanted to beat Scott on your upcoming project you'd have to power through.
Glaring at Scott you quickly saved your document before you grabbed your water bottle and walked to the fountain on the other side of the floor. He could be trusted to not steal your things, but could not be trusted enough to not mess with your notes. You had learned that the hard way.
You began walking back to your table, still feeling the physical pull of your body to sleep, coming to a sudden stop when you realized that the resource book you had been using was no longer where you left it.
Instantly your eyes slid over to Scott. Sure enough, there he was leaning back in his chair as he flipped aimlessly through your textbook. You could feel the blood rushing through your body in anger as you slammed your water bottle on the table, making Scott look up at you in mock surprise.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" You snapped, stalking towards him.
"What's the matter?" He questioned, rising out of his seat as he took the defensive position to your approach.
"Give me the book back, Scott. I just want to beat you on this project and go home." You tried to grab it from his hands, but he was quick to raise it above your head.
"It'll be here tomorrow; you could always just go home now." You scoffed at the suggestion, kissing your pride goodbye as you began jumping to try and reach the book. "I can see the circles under your eyes, I'm doing you a favour."
"Don't patronize me," you said. "This is just another plot to make you feel superior. We both know you've hated me since we met; you don't actually care about anyone other than yourself."
You were surprised when, instead of a sarcastic retort, you were met with a scowl from Scott as he lowered the book, no longer taking joy from teasing you.
"You really think that low of me?" Your stomach dropped slightly at his question, combined with the pink tinge to his cheeks and furrowed brow. Maybe you had been too harsh. "You were the one who started that argument and then never tried any other approach with me afterward."
"Would it have mattered if I did?"
Scott let out a low chuckle as he took a tentative step towards you. "You know, for someone so smart you can be really dumb."
He stood so close to you that your chest brushed his with every breath. Your brows knitted together at his words, the meaning coming to you a split second before his gaze dropped to your lips. Then he was kissing you, one of his hands coming to cup your face as he gently moved his lips against yours.
You stayed still for a moment, the sweetness of his movements in such conflict with your perception of Scott that you felt like you were short-circuiting. Before the rational side of your brain could catch up your subconscious body pushes you closer to him, hands knotting in his worn Bruins sweater that you had become so familiar with over the years. You could taste the spearmint of his gum, almost being thankful for his obnoxious chewing for the first time. Being this close to him you could smell the hint of Irish Spring that hid under his usual scent of an evergreen forest that had just experienced rain.
God, even his smell was a contradiction; a mix of frugalness and frivolity.
You deepened the kiss, pulling him closer as you tried to ignore the butterflies emerging in your stomach. Scott backed you up in response, grabbing your thighs and lifting you onto the table when you hit it. He kissed you with the patience of someone who seemed to think he had all the time in the world to do so, hands running over your body as he pulled you desperately closer.
Finally, he broke the kiss, allowing you to breathe properly for the first time in several minutes, and began kissing down your jaw and neck. "You can be so fucking frustrating," he sighs, sucking at the junction of your collarbone and neck.
The rational side of your brain was yelling at you, desperately trying to get you to remember that this was the same man you had hated for four years. Beneath it, however, was another voice asking if you really had hated him, or if you had simply felt safer telling yourself that you hated him.
You couldn't deny the way your body reacted to his touch or the way your heart had always sped up when he gave you his full attention. The way arguing with him gave you a thrill you had never experienced with anyone else. The fact that your classes together were the highlight of your week.
Yeah, you were so screwed.
But as quick as you realized these feelings, your brain began fighting back against them. This was still Scott, after all. How could you know if he shared your feelings or if this was simply a moment of lust? Was this a secret plot to humiliate you?
"Scott," you breathed, tugging on his hair to get his attention.
"What?" He asked, chest heaving. He was close enough that his breath fanned over your face, his deep blue eyes looking so deeply into yours that you were sure he could see through all your facades.
It was terrifying and confusing.
"I, um," you stumble over your words, having to rip your gaze away from him to calm your body enough to speak. "I should really get back to studying."
You could see his disappointment bleed out of his body at your words, his face falling slightly before he corrected himself. Back to the Scott you were used to: carefully manufactured for no one to see his private moments. The brief moment of vulnerability was enough to make your heart scream at you to pull him back in by his collar, but the whispers of insecurity from your brain stopped you from doing so. You could only hope that you were successfully hiding your inner conflict on your face. Maybe you two really were more similar than you thought.
"Right," he said, stepping back to allow you to slide off the table. "Sorry."
You avoided his eyes as you grabbed your textbook off his table, sitting down in front of your stuff as you tried to refocus. You knew it would be futile, your already exhausted brain running laps around the events of the night, but it was at least a little easier to sift through your thoughts without Scott's expert mouth on you.
You couldn't help yourself from stealing a glance at Scott, back at his own table. He had put his earbuds back in, aggressively typing as he looked at his computer with enough focus that you knew he was not going to look back at you.
You rested your head on your hand as you reopened the textbook, trying desperately to form any coherent thoughts. Your brain was combing through your memories of Scott, untangling all the moments you had been too blinded by your perception of him to see the full picture.
All those times you had insisted on sitting in his favourite study spot on campus, claiming that it was to annoy him. Reflecting on it now, though, you weren't so sure it was to annoy him. After all, you had never thought to spread yourself out enough that it would force him to find a new place. Instead, you had sat there and left the other chairs at the table empty, knowing that Scott would be too stubborn to give in and would take a seat in defiance.
The years of assuming that Scott was looking for a fight when he would approach you, not even considering for a second that he may have simply wanted your attention directed towards him.
As you continued going through the years you felt yourself being pulled into the floor, utterly exhausted by the mental gymnastics of the night.
How could one kiss change so much of what you thought you knew?
Your eyes open slowly, your body fighting to keep them closed despite the sound of Scott calling your name and gently shaking your shoulders. Your arms were folded under your head for some comfort, your body's fight for sleep apparently having finally won. Your eyes flicked to the clock on your computer, reading out that it was nearing 2am.
"Come on, you should get home," he said once you had woken up enough, nodding towards the exit.
You looked toward him to answer but found the words stuck in your throat and settled for a simple nod. He had already packed away his own things, his backpack slung over one shoulder and his old grey MIT hat covering his dark hair.
You closed your laptop, beginning to gather your things as you packed them into your bag. Wordlessly Scott grabbed your textbook, one which had been put to the side for your class, and returned it to the cart marked for your class.
When you didn't hear the expected sound of the exit doors you looked up, seeing Scott shifting his weight as he held his car keys in his hand.
He looked up at you as you gave him a quizzical look and twirled his keys on his finger. "It's the middle of the night. My mom would kill me if she ever thought of leaving you to get home on your own."
You briefly thought of refusing and taking a cab instead, but he was right about the issue of time. At least you weren't the only one who dreaded being in the same car after tonight if Scott's nervous motions were anything to go by.
You thanked him as the two of you walked out of the library, making your way to the parking lot where his black Audi was waiting. Scott held the door open for you as you climbed into his passenger seat, gently shutting the door after you.
As you sat and looked at his interior, you couldn't help thinking of an incident from a few weeks after you two first met. Scott had just beaten you on a unit test in class, so in retaliation you had parked your car behind his in the parking lot, boxing him in as he tried to get home. You, of course, had feigned innocence and claimed that your car had simply broken down in the position. It wasn't entirely unbelievable, your car had already been beaten up at the time and was now completely undrivable, but you had known from the second Scott's head popped out of his car that he didn't believe it for a second. Looking back on it, maybe you really had more of an active role in the state of your and Scott's relationship than you had previously considered.
Scott got into the driver's seat, tossing his bag into the backseat before starting the car. He fiddled with the heat, scrolling endlessly through his phone in search of a playlist. Every motion of his body was filled with nerves, emphasized by his eyes flitting to you every few seconds.
He finally decided on an old rock song from the 80s, putting his phone down as he sat back in his seat, his hands flexing around the wheel. You were about to say something in an attempt to put him at ease when he spoke first. "I'm sorry about earlier."
"What?"
"I shouldn't have kissed you out of nowhere like that," he explains, pausing slightly before continuing, "especially after everything."
"Oh," your heart dropped at his words, the conflicting emotions from earlier resurfacing in your chest. "It's fine."
You opened your mouth to ask him more about it, the confusion of his words mixing with your surfaced feelings to create a bitter taste in your mouth, before deciding against it and instead giving him directions to your place.
Like clockwork, your thoughts began to race again as you ran over his apology in contrast with his actions earlier in the night. The part of you that was still coming to terms with your feelings was eager to believe Scott's words, willing to believe that he could be cruel enough to lead you on without the intent to follow through. Had he simply seen you as a conquest? A challenge to overcome and then once he had proven that he could have you if he wanted, he'd turn around. Was he just horny and you happened to be around? Was that what had caused his whiplash reaction in the night?
But then the part of you that wanted him, the part that was unsatisfied with lonely nights spent studying, would argue. You had successfully ignored any actions from either Scott or yourself that had hinted at possible romantic feelings for four years. Could you really trust your cynical side to make rational decisions when it came to him?
You were thankful for Scott's music filling the car as you both sat in silence, turning over these thoughts in your head and only stopping when providing a new direction for Scott's driving. You snuck glances at him, but his focused gaze on the road didn't give away much to either side of your internal argument.
He finally pulled up to your place, forcing you to call a ceasefire for the war inside your head. You reached for the door, feeling like all you wanted to do was sprint for the safety of your bed, but your fingers refused to pull the handle for escape.
"What was your goal?" You asked, turning to look back at the driver's seat. Scott knitted his eyebrows together in confusion, prompting you to continue. "We've been at each other's throats since we met and you just suddenly kiss me." You watched him open his mouth to respond, but you decided to keep going. "And then you just tell me it shouldn't have happened! You just completely changed everything between us and then expected me to go back to how it was like it was nothing. How did you expect me to react to that?"
The part of you still rooted in your rivalry rejoiced in the guilty look on his face, though that voice that had been warring with you all night felt a pang of sadness at the sight, head dipping to look at your lap in anticipation of his response.
"What did you think would happen?" You continued, deciding to get your thoughts out before you had the chance to lose your confidence. "Did you think I'd be a notch in your bedpost after you've hated me for this long?"
"I've never hated you," he said, turning his body to fully face you now. "What aren't you getting about that? I wasn't trying to embarrass you."
"Then what were you trying to do?" You felt like someone was physically squeezing your heart, anxiety pooling in your chest at the potential for both joy or disappointment that could come from his words.
"I thought I made myself clear when I kissed you. You're the one who broke the kiss, that's why I apologized." The grip on your heart relaxed enough to allow a flutter of hope at his words.
"So, if I hadn't stopped kissing you..." You trailed off, unable to meet his earnest gaze. Despite the hope building inside of you at his words, you were determined to not allow yourself the potential disappointment from reading him wrong again. "What would you have done after?"
Scott let out an exasperated sigh next to you, finally making you peek at him. The street lamp outside illuminated his face just enough for you to see the amused smirk on his face. "You really are an idiot."
You tilted your head up further to get a proper look at his face. His expression matched the soft tone of his voice, both in direct contrast to his teasing words. Before your brain had the chance to talk you out of it, you cupped his cheek and brought his mouth to yours.
The dam that had held the butterflies from earlier to a trickle burst open to a flood, your heart celebrating its victory over your brain for the first time in your carefully conducted life. This time, neither you nor Scott were patient. You were both pulling each other closer, fingers threading through his dark hair as your body bumped the console of his car.
Even when you two separated to catch your breath you stayed leaned into each other, his fingers dancing over your lower back. Your fingers curled themselves into his sweater as you pulled him back towards you, relishing the taste of him and the warmth that spread through you as those walls you had built through the years began to fall.
You knew you should be going inside to sleep, but now that you had experienced Scott in earnest, his touch and taste spreading over you with every movement, you couldn't break yourself away. The practicality of a relationship could be figured out later, for now, you just wanted to make up for all the time you had spent too blinded by what you thought you felt to see the potential of him.

â BLESSED (II)
PART ONE
PAIRING â Sauron x fem!half-Elf!Reader
SUMMARY â You find out your husband's true identity when Eregion is under attack. It is hard to tell which one is worse â the betrayal that you feel or witnessing how influenced by his evil your daughter already is.
AUTHORâS NOTE â I said there would be a second part, so here it is. But as usual, I could not stop writing and... there will be a third part, too! 𤣠Basically, in this part, Sauron is walking inside the rooms rapidly nearly all the time, which is something I realised later while re-reading the fic but I couldn't edit it since it made sense for the plot (and he was doing that a lot in canon, too).
WARNINGS â Reader's father is dead (he was human, so she outlived him), manipulating, gaslighting, lowkey toxic and abusive marriage between the Reader and Annatar Sauron, he gets angry at his daughter once or twice but he is not violent towards her (should not trigger anyone but I wanted to mention it just in case) + he is manipulating his daughter a lot, Celebrimbor has gone mad-mad, Reader being put to sleep against her will, trigger warnings from S02E07 (Sauron murdering the guards etc.)
WORD COUNT â 5,240
ENGLISH IS MY SECOND LANGUAGE.
BLESSED (II)
You were sitting inside your chambers in the evening all alone and embroidering for your daughter. Your only company was a slowly burning candle as you focused on the beautiful gemstones that were appearing thanks to your needle. AlmĂĄrea had always been interested in the craft of smithery and it was no surprise. Her grandfather had been an excellent smith and so was her father. Uncle Celebrimbor perhaps was not related to her but she had been growing up around him. And, recently, her new favourite thing to do was to spend time with him in the forge, learning everything she could about the craft. She was there at the moment, too.
And where Annatar was, you had no idea. Most likely with them or helping to run the city. Ever since Celebrimborâs health had been getting worse, your husband was helping you with the administration matters around Eregion, for which you were the most grateful. He did not wish you to overwork yourself.
You heard a booming sound from the distance, which startled you slightly. However, you gave it no second thought. But when the sound began to repeat itself, you stood up and approached the window worryingly. Your heart skipped a beat at the sight of the fire burning in the distance and you spotted a cannonball coming closer and closer to Eregion.
You could see it all in slow-motion how it hit one of the towers of your city. You let out a scream and covered your mouth with a trembling hand. The very foundations of the tower you were in shook and made you hurry for the doors, desperate to find the ones you loved the most.
But before you could reach them, they opened widely and Annatar stood in them. He was oddly calm but oh, of course he was â an emissary of The Valar would not be ever scared and his calmness would bring nothing but peace in the times of trouble.
âWe are under attack,â he announced and you grabbed his sleeve to squeeze the fabric and pull on it, holding onto him like a child. âStay here.â
âBut⌠AlmĂĄrea⌠Sheâs in the forge with CelebrimborâŚâ You sobbed and yelped at the sound of another cannonball hitting Eregion.
âDo not be afraid,â Annatar put his arm around you and walked you back to your chair where he was trying to sit you down but you refused.
âAlmĂĄrea and uncle Celebrimbor⌠I must go for themâŚâ
âI shall go,â Annatar assured you and finally managed to sit you down by the table. âMy love, stay here.â
âShould we not evacuate?â You asked, looking up at him with glistening eyes. Whatever he would say, you would listen, do and follow. You trusted him with your whole life.
âWhen the right time comes. Until then, stay here, so I do not lose you in the crowd,â Annatar instructed and left your chambers.
You wiped your tears with a shaky hand and felt the ground under your feet shaking once more. A while after his departure, you realised that his request was deeply concerning. Staying inside this tower could mean death to you, after all. There was no guarantee that the next cannonball would not hit your tower.
You moved up once more and ran to the doors but they were locked, which made you furrow your brows. You kept pulling the handle but without any success. Even when you used all of your force, they did not move an inch.
The sounds of cannonballs and people screaming in terror were reaching your ears from afar as your anxiety grew. How could your husband ask you to stay inside in a moment like this â especially with your daughter being far away from you? Your heart could not rest until you were sure that AlmĂĄrea was safe.
You hurried to the balcony and looked up at the tower next to yours. The fire inside the forge was still on, you noticed. But you kept waiting and waiting for your husbandâs return and there was nobody coming.
You were circling around the room nervously, trying to think of a way out. AlmĂĄrea was all you could think of â your sweet daughter, your purpose in life, your little blessing. You had to be with her, you had to protect her.
And as you nearly broke down in tears of helplessness, you felt another cannonball hitting nearby. The force of that hit was so strong that you fell over, feeling the floor underneath you tilting slightly. When you dared to open your eyes, fearing what you would witness, you realised that half of the tower you were locked inside was in ruins now. Including the wall in front of you, which allowed you to run out without using the locked doors.
You did not think of anything else, leaving all your properties behind as you gathered your skirts and managed to get to the corridor, coughing heavily from all the dust.
The staircase was wobbly and you knew each step could cause you to fall down but you were too determined to overthink that. Step by step, as fast as you could, you ran downstairs and hurried across the courtyard, bumping into other screaming and terrified people, until you reached the doors to Celebrimborâs forge.
What you witnessed, shocked you dearly. Because despite the siege around you, you spotted your uncle and daughter working on some design cheerfully.
âAlmĂĄrea!â You called out for her, making them both turn around with widened eyes. âUncle! What are you doing?!â You hurried to their side and put your arms around your daughter protectively. âCanât you see and hear what is happening outside?! We must leave, this very moment!â
âWhat are you talking about, child?â Celebrimbor chuckled at you as if you were the crazy one. His eyes were full of joy but you also spotted a haze in them, a deep fog as if he had lost his mind. Your heart ached for him because his state had been worsening for weeks now.
âUncle⌠Please, we must go,â you reached out to hold his wrists but he winced and pushed you away.
âNo! I must not stop my work. What are you talking about, (Y/N)? Look at the state of you, you look like a slattern,â he pointed out and his words hurt you deeply. Of course you looked like a slattern. There was a siege happening and you crawled yourself out of the towerâs ruins to get here. âAlmĂĄrea, your mother must be feverish,â he addressed your daughter.
âAlmĂĄrea, my darling, we have to go and we have to take uncle with us,â you tried to explain it to her in the simplest way but she took a step back from you as she shook her head and the bow in her head bounced slightly.
âNo. Daddy asked me to stay here and watch over uncle Celebrimbor,â she explained.
âAlmĂĄrea, that is very noble but we are under attack,â you were trying to remain calm despite the noises reaching your ears from the outside. You knew that you had no time to argue. âWhatever your daddy asked you to do, it has no significance now.â
âBut he has been here only recently,â she answered and you opened your mouth slightly, surprised. âHe told me to keep up my work,â she added, proudly. âUncle, go back to your craft. Mummy is sick indeed,â she addressed Celebrimbor and he nodded at her before giving you a dirty look and going back to his designs of the Rings.
âAlmĂĄrea, it is not safe, we must leave. What are you doing to him?â You asked her, unsurely. You were scared to hear the answer as you crouched down to be on her level.
Your sweet, little daughter. Your blessing. Why was there so much malice in her eyes now?
The doors of the forge opened rapidly and you stood up at the sight of Annatar rushing inside. At first, you did not recognise him because his kind and loving face was twisted in anger as his soft eyes reminded you of nothing but black, empty abysses.
âWhat are you doing here?!â He barked at you. âI saw the cannonball hitting our tower, I rushed there and it was empty. Do you have any idea how worried I was?!â He raised his voice at you but you could not hear any concern in it â only fury.
You swallowed a lump in your throat and put your hands on AlmĂĄreaâs shoulders.
âIt is you who should explain yourself to me,â you tried to sound harshly but it was coming to you with great difficulty. After all, it was your husband, whom you loved and respected greatly. âWhy is AlmĂĄrea here and what is she doing to my uncle? You promised me you would come for them and we would evacuate together,â you pointed out.
âNot until the Rings are finished,â Annatar answered. âAlmĂĄrea, are you keeping up the good work?â He addressed her softly.
âYes, daddy,â she nodded her head with a grin and Annatar smiled before approaching Celebrimbor.
âHow fares your progress?â He asked him.
âIt would be better if your wife was not distracting me. She is feverish, you should take her back to your chambers and put her to bed. Call for a medic if you must,â Celebrimbor mumbled out.
âIs everyone going insane here?! We are under attack!â You exclaimed out of desperation.
âAlmĂĄrea,â was all your husband said before she nodded and tilted her head
Suddenly, you felt dizzy. You let go of her arms and stumbled, grabbing the edge of Celebrimborâs desk. You laid your free hand on your forehead and felt how hot the skin was.
âOh, I⌠I⌠I do not feel well,â you whispered.
Annatar hurried to your side and slowly wrapped his arms around yours to help you move away.
âMy gentle darling, you have a fever. You must have had a nightmare,â he told you sweetly. âI told you to stay in bed.â
âYou⌠You did?â You asked but your mind was in a haze.
âPlease, lay down,â Annatar helped you to get comfortable on a chaise longue in Celebrimborâs study. He caressed your forehead and you could hear him walk away since your vision was too blurry to see anything. âAlmĂĄrea, your mummy needs to rest,â you heard him whisper before your eyelids got too heavy to keep them open and you drifted off to the land of dreams.
You had no idea for how long you had been sleeping. Could be hours and could be days. When you opened your eyes again, you realised with terror that the forge was a mere shadow of its own glory. It was in ruins now and everything was dull, grey and full of dust. You stood up rapidly with your heart pounding inside your chest from the anxiety â AlmĂĄrea and her safety were all you could think of.
And there she was, sitting boredly on top of Celebrimborâs desk. They both had clothes and faces dirty from the ashes but he kept working cheerfully as your daughter was looking down at him and swinging her legs.
âOh, mummy,â she smiled at the sight of you. âI am glad you woke up. I am so bored here and daddy keeps saying I must go on until uncleâs work is finished,â she sighed and jumped down onto the floor.
âWhat⌠What are you doing? What are you doing exactly?â You asked her, carefully. Your head was still heavy from the sleep induced upon you and your memories of what had happened were foggy.
âDaddy says uncle Celebrimbor must finish the Rings for men but he would be scared of what is going on outside, so while daddy helps to run Eregion, I am here, making sure uncle Celebrimbor has no idea about anything,â she revealed and you gasped.
At that moment, the doors opened and Annatar walked inside. His skin and robes were not dirty at all as if he was above the siege. For the first time in your life, you were scared at the sight of him as you swallowed thickly, so deeply confused.
âThe Rings. Are they finished?â He asked and closed the doors behind him. Then, he spotted you being awake and turned around slowly with a puzzled expression. âAlmĂĄrea, why is your mother awake?â
âI was bored, daddy,â AlmĂĄrea whined and you watched Annatarâs face muscles twitching as he clenched his jaw and gave your daughter a look so scolding that she approached you to seek safety.
âShe is only a child, what do you expect?â You asked him. âYou have burdened her with a task that is too heavy for her. It would be too heavy for anyone. The measures you are taking to finish the creation are unholy,â you took a deep breath in and moved a little closer to your uncle with AlmĂĄrea still clinging to you. You were trying to shield poor Celebrimbor from your husband. âMake it stop. Let us flee.â
Celebrimbor looked up at you, his eyes so full of fog and mist that it made you shed a tear of compassion as he smiled adoringly at you with nothing but pure joy. He had completely lost his mind now.
âNo emissary of The Valar would do this,â you turned your face around to lay your eyes on your husband again as more tears streamed down your cheeks. He looked both â hurt to be accused and angry to be caught at the same time. The most confusing reaction you could expect. âMy husband would not do this,â you added, nearly inaudibly.
At that, he snorted. And you only sobbed some more.
âFree my uncleâs mind, I beg of you,â you shook your head.
âHe is not under my control,â Annatar smirked and looked down to meet your daughterâs gaze. He nodded and she squeezed her eyes tightly as she focused on something. When her eyes opened again, you looked back at your uncle but he remained working. âHer powers are too strong. He might be forever broken now,â Annatar pointed out with a glimpse of⌠pride. âCome to me, my child,â he opened his arms and AlmĂĄrea tried to move but you tightened your grip around her.
âNo. You will not go near that man ever again,â you said to her, harshly. Each word caused a pain, like a knife cutting your heart into pieces.
You loved Annatar but you had to protect your daughter from him because the man in front of you was⌠Was simply not the man you had married. Perhaps the burden of the Valar was too heavy for him. The task they had given to him had driven him and your uncle to madness.
Perhaps it was all your fault â by choosing to stay with you as your husband, he had to choose this form and stay in it, losing some of his godly powers. And his new flesh was simply too weak to handle all the power he had been blessed with by the gods.
His empty eyes glanced at you with so much hatred and fury that you felt smaller than a mouse at the moment.
âI am her father,â he reminded you, coldly. âAlmĂĄrea, come here,â he ordered.
And you were simply too weak to fight it. Your limbs rebelled against your will as you felt your daughter leaving your grasp and running up to her father. You could only watch as your whole life was crumbling down just like Eregion around it.
âYou are her father. But you are not my husband,â you said. âWho are you⌠truly?â
âI am the one keeping the storm at bay,â he answered, putting his hands on AlmĂĄreaâs shoulders as she kept looking up at him with admiration. âBalancing the very sun above your head. All to heal Middle-earth and give your weak and pathetic uncle one chance to prove his worth. I want the Nine!â He yelled, making you flinch.
Celebrimbor did not, however. He only looked up at the mention of his name and smiled kindly at the monster you had to call your husband.
âI am working, my friend,â he assured him before going back to work.
You moved slightly to cover him from Annatarâs stare. But you were not sure if Annatar was truly his name.
To heal Middle-earth. You knew that story. You knew who had been the man with such a dream. Annatar had been mentioning it before but never in this way. But now it all made sense. It all made a terrible sense and you had been nothing but a blind fool. It should had alarmed you the very first time Annatar had used this phrase. But the tone of his voice had been sweet then; concerned. Now, he had revealed his true intentions.
âYou are He,â you realised out loud with a trembling voice. In fact, your whole body was trembling. The waves of aftershocks coming over your body after finding out such a dreadful thing about the person with whom you had shared your chambers, your bed, your body, your heart and your soul⌠Your bloodline. âYou are Sauron,â the name rolled off of your tongue like something filthy and dirty â the most disgusting. The Abhorred.
All those I love yous you had whispered to him, all those nights you had spent on whimpering his name lost in pleasure, all those breakfasts you had served him, all those hours spent on brushing his hair with your fingers and peppering his face with tiny kisses. All this time you had been doing nothing but pampering the monster. And all this time you had been living in an illusion â not much better than the one your uncle was living in at the moment.
âI have many names,â Annatar smirked at your question as if it was bringing him satisfaction that his silly and naive wife had finally realised the dreadful truth.
âBut you are my daddy,â AlmĂĄrea tugged on his robe, waiting for confirmation.
âFor all eternity, my darling one,â he caressed her hair lovingly and an empty hole in your chest grew and grew as it began to sink into your heart.
You had married Annatar but you had a child with Sauron.
You were sitting on the floor, with your back pressed to the wall and your knees brought all the way up to be able to rest your head on them. You had no chains but you did not have to. Annatar â or rather Sauron â knew very well that you would not leave Celebrimborâs forge as long as AlmĂĄrea was inside.
So, you just kept sitting there and staring at her as she was standing above your uncle and watching carefully as he crafted the Rings. She was studying him and you smiled sadly at that because under different circumstances it would be lovely to watch her learning from Celebrimbor.
His mind was far too gone to know anything happening around him. The only thing he could focus on was forging the Rings as you kept overthinking your whole marriage.
All those little things you had been ignoring about Annatar until now â all those excuses you had been making up for him. Gods, you were such a fool. And you loved your daughter more than anything but you could not help a feeling that your womb had borne a seed of Middle-earthâs demise.
Why had Annatar chosen you? Now it all made sense â you were the most useful in his schemes. You were close to the man he had wanted wrapped around his finger. And you were half-human, which could push Celebrimbor into agreeing to craft such powerful items even for the kin considered to be weak and unworthy by many Elves.
You sobbed silently. Was it possible that this was the only kind of love you could ever count on? This twisted illusion, this mockery? You had been nothing but kind and gentle to him, giving him everything you had and more. And all you had ever wanted in return was to be loved back. To have a family.
âYou are done now! Daddy will be so proud, uncle!â AlmĂĄrea clapped her hands and it made you look up. She kissed Celebrimborâs cheek and he smiled at her, watching her put the rings inside a pouch.
âAlmĂĄrea,â you called out for her and she laid her eyes on you. âGive them to me,â you ordered.
âBut daddyââ She started, unsurely.
âI just want to see,â you extended your hand and she walked up to you, hesitantly. She handed you the pouch and you grabbed it from her. âMummy!â She whined.
âUndo what you have done to uncle Celebrimborâs mind. Right now,â your voice was harsh but not too much because she was still your daughter and you could never hurt or abandon her even if the darkness was the path she would descend into.
She was still a child, though. And she was half you â there was the same amount of light inside of her as of darkness.
âI can only try,â AlmĂĄrea told you and you nodded at her, encouragingly.Â
You held her hands to help her and she squeezed them, closing her eyes and tilting her head as she furrowed her brows, causing a small wrinkle to appear on her smooth forehead.
When she was done, you knew that it had thankfully worked. Because Celebrimbor yelped out of fear as you kissed the top of your daughterâs head and ran up to him immediately.
âUncle⌠Uncle, calm down, please, shh, you are alright now,â you put your hands on his arms and his scared eyes found yours with relief.
âOh, my darling (Y/N), I have been in such a haze⌠He⌠He made meâŚâ Celebrimbor tried to find the right words.
âI know, I am so sorryâŚâ You whispered, your voice full of pain and regret.
âNo. It is me who is sorry, my sweet child. I have given you to him so easily, so freely,â he caressed your face with his trembling hands.
âAnd I am glad that you did,â you sobbed and he furrowed his brows. âAnd I cannot ever say that I regret it for he has given me my daughter,â you confessed.
âHe might never get The Nine,â Celebrimbor changed the subject and you nodded, agreeing with him as you sniffed your tears back. You handed him the pouch with the Rings and glanced upon the doors.
âGo,â you pressed your forehead to his. âTake them away from him,â you whispered. âAs far away as you can. Quick, we do not have much time. Use the opportunity that he still thinks you are under AlmĂĄreaâs control.â
Your uncle nodded at you sadly. He kissed your forehead and squeezed the pouch inside his hand before looking at your daughter with a sigh. There was no hatred in his eyes but a glimpse of sadness, disappointment and fear mixed altogether.Â
You watched him leave and AlmĂĄrea reached her hand out after him but you stopped her.
âDaddy will get angry,â she looked up at you, surprised to witness what you had just done.
âBelieve me, it is for the better,â you told her and held her hand. âWe must leave now, too.â
âNo,â she stood still and shook her head. âNot without daddy.â
âAlmĂĄrea, we must go. We must leave, far away from here. We must go to your grandmother in Mithlond,â you tried to lure her in by the mention of your mother.
But she had seen her once in her life and the meeting had been brief. They shared no bond, therefore AlmĂĄrea was not easily convinced.
âNot without daddy,â she repeated.
âAlmĂĄrea, I beg of youâŚâ Your eyes filled with tears again. You knew Sauron would be back any moment to check on Celebrimborâs progress and you did not want to be there when he would see that your uncle was gone with The Rings.
But what you did not want even more was to abandon your daughter.
So, you stayed with her and waited. You did not even know what you were waiting for â was it your death? Would he get rid of you now when you were not useful to him anymore and after you had betrayed him in such a way; convincing your daughter to release Celebrimbor from her control and letting him flee?
You would find out very soon because the doors of the forge opened and there he was, walking confidently inside with a smirk upon his face.
âDaddy, I am so sorry!â AlmĂĄrea cried out immediately and ran up to him while you looked away, wincing from the ache you felt in your heart. Your eyes filled tears at her words. You only hoped he would not lash out at her. âI trusted mummy and she tricked me! She gave The Rings back to uncle Celebrimbor and let him go!â AlmĂĄrea explained and cried.
Long silence occurred and even though you were not looking in their direction, you could feel the atmosphere changing in an instant. Thickening.
âMummy is a twisted, treacherous little witch, so it seems,â Sauron drawled out and you turned your head around to lay your angry eyes upon him with tears streaming down your cheeks.
âHow dare you!â You snapped. Who was he to call you twisted or treacherous? âI swore no loyalty to you, shadow of Morgoth!â
âYes, you have!â He yelled at you and AlmĂĄrea flinched, taking a step back. He walked past her to approach you angrily but you could not move away because there was a wall behind you. âYou bound yourself to me on the day of our wedding!â Sauron pushed you, causing your back to hit the wall. âWhere is he?! Where are The Rings?!â
âDaddy, we do not know!â AlmĂĄrea ran up to you two and tugged on his robe. You avoided her gaze because you did not want her to see the fear and pain in your eyes. It would only scare her more. âDaddy, it is not mummyâs fault that she is weak. You told me that yourself!â
Sauronâs face was so close to yours that your noses nearly brushed against each other. His breath was heavy and hot, full of anger. You remained cold and still with tears streaming down your cheeks. And even though you did not recognise your husband and his eyes were dark and empty now, you dared to reach out to his cheeks gently. You cupped his face delicately, which caused his brows to furrow and his eyes to widen slightly out of surprise.
âAnnatar,â you whispered softly. âAnnatar, my love, come back to me. You bound yourself to me, too, dark spirit. Obey me. Release me,â you pleaded, desperately, feeling as if you were losing your sanity.
There was pure confusion on Sauronâs face at that moment. He took a step back, away from you and away from your hands but as they were falling down, you tried to extend them further and reach him once more.
âYou are pathetic,â he pointed out, coldly. âI shall find those Rings sooner or later. The only thing you did was to slow me down but you will never stop me.â
âLet it be then⌠Whatever I can do, I shall,â you whispered.
He opened his mouth to say something but you were interrupted by a group of people walking inside the forge. It was Celebrimbor with a few guards. For one, foolish moment, you sighed with relief, expecting rescue.
He nodded at you softly to let you know that The Rings were safe and far away from your husband. You reached your hands out to grab AlmĂĄrea and pull her closer to you. She let you and wrapped her arms around you to comfort you after her fatherâs anger.
âWhere are The Rings?!â Sauron abandoned your side to walk down the stairs from Celebrimborâs study into the ruins of the forge.
âFar from your reach by now,â your uncle answered.
âThen you are going to bring them to me and place them in my hand,â Sauron said, trying to remain calm.Â
âYour hand will never touch another Ring again,â Celebrimbor assured him.
You moved closer to the railing with AlmĂĄrea still clinging to you, so you both could see better whatever was happening downstairs.
The Commander of the City Guard ordered the rest to arrest your husband. AlmĂĄrea sobbed and hid her face in the fabric of your gown as you caressed her back, soothingly.
You watched the soldiers stand in a circle around Sauron and point their swords at him. You put your hand on the back of your daughterâs head, making sure to press her face a bit deeper into your gown to avoid her seeing any glimpse of the scene underneath you by accident.
âBy order of the true Lord of Eregion, you, Sauron, are herebyââ the Commander began before freezing.
In fact, they all froze. They all froze and trembled, whimpering slightly because they had absolutely no idea what was happening to them.
âYou think it was only you and your weak fosterling who put themselves in my power?â Sauron asked with contempt as he addressed your uncle.
He raised his hands slightly and all the soldiers surrounding him killed one another instead of him. You watched in terror as their blades cut through their bodies and then they fell down, lifeless, onto the ground.
AlmĂĄrea sobbed and yelped, managing to get out of your grasp due to your moment of weakness.
âDaddy!â She cried out for him. She was scared that the sound she had heard was of their blades cutting through him.
But it was not. And you watched her run down the stairs and ignore the lifeless bodies, as if they meant nothing to her, only to cling to Sauronâs waist. He wrapped one of his hands around her to pull her closer as he raised an eyebrow at Celebrimbor in a challenging manner.
The Commander tried to approach your husband carefully, extending his sword.
âDo not hurt the child,â your uncle ordered but there was no need.
Sauron did what you had done a while earlier and pressed AlmĂĄreaâs face deeper into his robe as she was clinging to him. And when there was a guarantee she could not see anything, he twisted the wrist of his free hand and the Commander froze before turning the blade around and killing himself with it.
Only when his body hit the floor, Sauron let go of your daughter and allowed her to move. She looked up at him as if she was waiting for an order or a task to be given.
âYou shall take control over him again and tell me where The Nine are,â your husband said.
âAlmĂĄrea, no!â You screamed from the top of the stairs. âAlmĂĄrea, please!â
âAre you sleepy again, my love?â Sauron looked up to ask you with irony.
You chose to be silent. To be put to sleep for gods know how long, to lose control of your own body and to be unaware of your surroundings was not what you wanted to happen once again.

we havenât talked much about baby devils family besides her mom⌠so maybe sheâs an only child also why sheâs love the boys so much because she has never had siblings and what if she lost her dad a few years ago to cancer and itâs not something she really talks about only person on the devils that knows is luke so maybe when it was the cancer game it was really important to her and everyone found out about her dad
The Cancer Game
warnings: parental death
ok so.. my dad died and this is how i'd want my friends to react and how some of them did react..
if you've lost someone close to you, i am so sorry for your loss
The New Jersey Devils locker room was filled with the usual celebration buzz. Theyâd just pulled off a big win, and everyone was riding high on the thrill of it, the energy bouncing off the walls as teammates shouted and laughed. Normally, Y/N would have been in the thick of it, cracking jokes and soaking up the post-game excitement with her team. But tonight, sheâd been different. Sheâd put on a brave face, even cheered a little in the locker room, but her heart wasnât in it. Only Luke noticed the way her smile didnât quite reach her eyes, the way she slipped out of the room as soon as she could without saying a word to anyone.
Heâd seen her like this before, knew the kind of weight that could press down on her after certain games. The annual Cancer Awareness game, something that meant so much to the Devils organization and their fans, had an especially painful significance for her. A few years back, her dad had passed away after a long battle with cancer. It wasnât something she talked about; she kept her emotions tucked away and rarely let them out, but this game always hit her hard. Luke was the only one who knew, and though she never said anything, heâd learned to recognize the signs.
The other guys hadnât quite pieced it together yet, but they were noticing the change in her. Jack frowned as he watched her leave. âDid you guys see Y/N? She just left so quickly. I donât think she even said goodbye.â
âYeah, and she was barely talking all night,â Nico added, crossing his arms with a worried look. âShe seemedâŚoff. You think somethingâs wrong?â
Dawson, still buzzing from the win, looked back toward the door, his excitement dimming. âShe didnât even celebrate like usual. You think we should check on her?â
Luke glanced at them, a little torn. Y/N was private, and he didnât want to betray her trust, but he also didnât want her to be alone with this. With a slight nod, he said, âYeah. I think we should.â He didnât offer an explanation yet, but his face was serious, and the others picked up on it right away.
The group left together, the energy in the car shifting to something quieter and more solemn as they drove to Y/Nâs place. They entered her apartment, hoping sheâd be alright, but the scene they found tugged at their hearts.
Y/N was curled up on her couch, her face hidden in her hands, her shoulders shaking with silent sobs. Luke stepped forward first, his heart heavy as he saw his friend so vulnerable. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder before sitting next to her, pulling her into his side. She leaned into him, not saying anything, but letting him be there.
The others stood back, exchanging looks of uncertainty and sadness. They hadnât seen her like this before and didnât want to intrude, but they also couldnât bear the idea of leaving her alone.
After a quiet moment, Jack finally spoke up. âIsâŚis she okay? Whatâs going on?â he asked softly, his voice filled with worry.
Luke took a breath, deciding to share what he knew in the hopes that theyâd understand. âHer dadâŚhe passed away from cancer a few years back. This gameâŚthis nightâŚitâs a lot for her to handle. It brings back memories.â
There was a stunned silence as the reality of her pain sank in. Dawson looked down, feeling a pang of guilt for not realizing sooner. Nicoâs expression softened, his eyes full of empathy as he took a step closer to her.
Jackâs face fell. He crouched down beside her, reaching out to place a gentle hand on her shoulder. âY/N, Iâm so sorry. You shouldâve said something. You donât have to go through this by yourself.â
Nico nodded, his voice gentle. âWeâre family, Y/N. Whatever you need, weâre here. Always.â His words were soft, filled with the warmth of someone who understood what it meant to be part of a team that cared deeply for each other beyond just hockey.
Dawson gave her a supportive smile, his voice as warm as he could make it. âYeah, weâre here for you. If you ever need to talk or even just want someone around to keep you company, donât hesitate. Weâve got your back.â
Y/N looked up through red, tear-streaked eyes, managing a small, appreciative smile as she took in the scene. There they wereâher teammates, her friends, her familyâstanding around her with faces full of concern and love. She hadnât planned to let them see her like this, hadnât planned to share the part of herself that was still so raw and aching. But here they were, offering her every bit of their support, not backing away from her sadness.
Lukeâs arm tightened around her shoulders as he whispered, âYouâre not alone. Iâm here. Weâre all here.â
Y/N felt her heart swell as Jack, Nico, and Dawson each moved closer, surrounding her with a warmth and presence that filled the room. They didnât try to fix her pain or rush her through it; they simply sat with her, letting her know that she didnât have to bear this alone. The weight of her grief felt a little lighter with them there, their quiet strength helping to carry her forward, reminding her that no matter how heavy the burden, she would never have to shoulder it by herself again.

Bruce Wayne x Batdad Reader!
Being Bruceâs husband wasnât as easy as you thought there were a lot of difficulties in your life while being married to him.But it was all good he loved and you loved him. Simply as that, you guys met because you where a famous singer and met at one of his galas.
At first he was all flirty and honoring his playboy persona. You didnât show any interest at first because who doesnât flirt with M/n. But Bruce was kind of charming and really nice. Beside everything you heard from him. And then you woke beside him in bed. âOh my fucking-â anyway- letâs leave that behind.
After that night you thought he would leave you like it never happened and keep going on with his life, but surprisingly he invited you on a date. A couple years later you met Alfred a really nice person and enjoyed your company. And all of that disappeared because your 5 year boyfriend left you without a word for 10 fuckin years.
âHey Alfred have you heard from Bruce I didnât see him todayâ âoh master M/n⌠I thought you knewâŚâ after that you promised to never trust anyone that easily, sure it affected you but you werenât going to stop and be miserable. You decided to take out some new songs.
âM/N is back!â Your fans were going crazy! Everybody thought you quit the music career and left. And⌠Bruce well not like he didnât care about you he just wanted to make a change. He was training to protect you and Alfred. And then he was there your âboyfriendâ you were spending time with Alfred. You werenât going to leave him alone for 10 whole years!
âH- hi ummâŚâ Bruce looked at you. He looked much muscular and old⌠â Alfred I think I should goâŚâ you took your things and while you were about to open the door Bruce grabbed your hand. âDonât you-â âplease let me explainâŚâ you lost right there âwhat Bruce!? Explain that you left me for 10 years!â Bruce was shocked. He remembered you much calmer and shy.
You let him explain why he leaved you. Because you were still young you gave him another opportunity. Some years later you met Richard or Dick who you protected with your life and refused to let him be robin. âSweetheart pleaseâŚâ you refused to look at him âBruce itâs too dangerous for a literal kid to be fighting grown ass men or women who want to hurt him!â Dick heard your discussion somewhat regretting he asked Bruce to be his sidekick. You saw Dick on the corner wanting to cry⌠âoh⌠Richard why are you crying?â âIâm sorry⌠I didnât want you to fight I I- just wanted to help.â You sighed âIâm not sure if Iâm going to regret this but⌠I guess you can go help BruceâŚâ Bruce smiled and Dick celebrated and hugged you. âThank you!â You looked at Bruce and said darklyâBruce if something happens you are going to regret being Batmanâ Bruce only laughed and hugged both of you.
After some years Dick grew older and became a teenager. âHey Dick what do you want to eat today?â Dick really grew trust in you that he called you dad first than Bruce. âDunno dad maybe some pancakes??â And while Dick and Bruce were patrolling Bruce found Jason a young boy trying to steal the Batmobileâs tires.
Jason really liked you he had a better relationship with you then Bruce or Dick. He would often ask you to read him books. It was like that until that day⌠Joker captured Jason. âhey Bruce!â When you went to the bat cave you only found Dick and Bruce. âWhereâs Jason?â You were more then devastated when he died.
You and Bruce barely spoke, Dick tried to make you both love each other again, but he couldnât even make you both sleep in the same bed. After 1 or 2 years Bruce decided to adopt another kid. Tim. Thatâs when you started thinking about divorce.
âReally!? Another kid you wanna harm this one too?â You started loosing respect from Bruce, but there was nothing you could do he was so stubborn.
In those years that Tim became and trained to be a robin. You also trained⌠to kill the guy that took your son. You learned how to use every weapon you had on your use, you where stronger and faster, and learned a lot of fight movements.
The day you heard your third son was captured⌠you didnât let Bruce handle this. You went there by yourself with a shotgun, gun, rifle, a lot of more utensils that would help you get your son back.
The building was quiet there was no sign of life but only lifeless bodyâs all around you opened the door and automatically shot the Joker on his knee. âAaaaaaaaah!â He screamed in agony while watching you above him. âTim⌠go.â Tim looked at you and before he left he hugged you. âIt will be okayâŚâ after you made sure he left you grabbed a metal pipe and left the Joker on a wall. âHahahahahahah! Let me guess you are going to kill me! WOW Iâm so scared!â You looked at him angrily and hit him with the metal pipe. â SHUT THE FUCK UP!â He spat blood all over the floor. âBatsy is not gonna let you kill meâ he laughed quietly. âWell guess what⌠I will make sure he doesnât interfere. And I my self will make sure you donât take anyone elseâs kid againâ Joker looked confused but then realized. âYou are robins Dad! Batmanâs husband!â That name hurted you⌠âwell guess what it was so fun I donât regret it.â He was pushing your limits. You started breathing loudly and one by one you killed the man that killed your kid.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Hey yall! I think this was my longest post but I hope yâall like it. I leaved a tlou reference In there. Thatâs all! There might be part 2 tho.

hongjoong was sure he was going to explode if you didnât stop your actions in the next following minutes. it started casual, occasionally patting his shoulder in agreement with whatever he was saying at the moment. then, he started short circuiting when you scooted closer to his chair in order to see his screen as he helped you out with new stickers for your laptop. the new distance you established was a bit closer than normal: he believed that he could pull you on his lap with a single movement if he was brave enough.
yet he couldnât cross that boundary, reason why he was feeling like a ticking time bomb.
âdo you think iâm printing too many?â you asked, as you downloaded another sticker from pinterest. hongjoong smiled, finding the amount of fairy cat stickers you downloaded endearing. âknowing you, youâll end up sticking the rest anywhere plain, or on my laptopâ he said in response, earning a chuckle from you.
âyou know me too well hongjoongâ you said in between giggles, before throwing your hand behind the back of his head as you played with strands of his hair. your attention went back to the screen though, but in contrast he could only think about the way your fingers felt against his scalp. unconsciously, his eyes turned to you: he always knew you were beautiful, he didnât just fall for your personality. but sometimes he couldnât help but notice small aspects that normally would go unnoticed by the rest: how you would play with your lips whenever youâre focused on something, the way you would squint adorably as you tried to read small phrases on the screen. also your eyes, he could get lost on them forever and wouldnât even care. in moments like this, he would also focus on your lips, mind wandering about how they would feel against his or-
âjoong, is everything okay?â you asked, pulling him out of his thoughts. he blinked rapidly, regaining his composure and fake coughing. âwhatâs going on in that pretty genius head of yours?â you taunted, getting closer to his face.
âtrust me, you wouldnât want to knowâ he muttered in a low voice, but you heard him anyways. âiâm asking because i want to know, you can tell me anything, iâm your best friendâ
âthatâs exactly the problem y/nâ he sighed, turning his gaze back on the screen, finding the satoru gojo cat suddenly super interesting.
what you did next set the timer in him though: you grabbed his chin and turned his face back to you, staring curiously. âi want to know, joongâ you said in a firm voice. your eyes remained interlocked for a few moments, but hongjoongâs patience started running extremely thin. âi can show youâ he whspered back, gaze going back to your lips. your hand left the back of his head and went down to his neck, pulling his face even closer as you nodded in response.
hongjoong closed the distance between you, finally pressing his lips against yours softly. you tasted the way he imagined: faint traces of strawberry from the chapstick he once gifted you, the one you refused to change despite the years. his lips moved against yours in sync, as his hands cupped your face, angling it to a degree so he could taste you better.
he thought he could kiss you forever and never get tired or bored, reason why he also felt disappointed when you pulled away. he chased you lips, so you pecked him as you tried to suppress a smirk from creeping on your face.
âfinallyâ you admitted, causing him to look at you questioningly. âi wanted to do that for a while, joongâ
âyou literally friendzoned me more times than i can rememberâ he pointed out, shock evident on his face. âi donât get touchy with just anyone! i had to camouflage it somehowâ you said in response, blushing. âplus i also thought thatâs how you viewed me, just a friendâ.
âhell no, y/n never say that word around me againâ he said, finally giving in to his initial thought as he pulled you on his lap in one smooth movement, making you laugh. you cupped his face, looking at him intently. âi like you, joongâ you whispered. âyou have absolutely no idea how much i adore youâ he answered, before crashing his lips against yours again.
now that he knew how you tasted, he was never going to let you go again. youâre his new addiction, just like he always imagined.
SEONGHWA
âi still canât believe my friend is getting married to himâ you said, as you finished applying your lipstick before turning back to seonghwa. he was standing next to the window, admiring the view from the luxurious hotel while you finished preparing for the wedding reception. he was already dressed in a gorgeous wine colored suit, which was a bit oversized yet still looked formal on him.
your friend had announced a few months ago that she forgave her boyfriend for cheating, claiming that it was just a âdrunken mistakeâ. she also informed you that she was getting married too, having already set the date and venue, and telling you that you could bring a plus one. of course, you immediately dialed seonghwa, not just to spill the hot gossip but also to invite him. he immediately agreed.
âthat marriage is already doomedâ he said, turning his gaze back on you, chuckling. âbut at least we get an opportunity to stay at a fancy hotel, get all dolled up and then partyâ you pointed out, carefully pulling out your outfit from your suitcase. you had picked a dark blue long dress, that had the back open. you had picked it because it reminded you of the yellow dress from âhow to lose a guy in 10 daysâ, which, by the way, seonghwa found absolutely gorgeous. in fact, he chose the color of his outfit to match yours.
âvery true, the hotel is amazingâ he said, turning back to the window âi didnât know what to expect when you told me it was in the middle of literally nowhereâ. you laughed in response as you exclaimed âright?!â, before entering the bathroom to get dressed.
a few moments later, seonghwa found himself having difficulty to breathe due to how gorgeous and breathtaking you looked. the dress fit your body like a glove, and when you did a little turn to show it from the back, he had to literally control himself from crossing the friendship boundary. âso? how do i look hwa?â you asked him, a little nervous. seonghwa walked towards you, holding your hand as he twirled you around, before setting both of his hands on your waist. his eyes, unbeknownst to you, were holding so much love and devotion, yet you failed to realize it. âif i was the bride iâd kick you out for stealing my spotlightâ he said, earning a chuckle as you cupped his cheek. he unconsciously leaned in to the palm of your hand, wanting more of your touch. âthank you hwa, you look mesmerizing tooâ you said. you both stared at each other, too lost on the small intimate moment you were having.
in seonghwaâs opinion, it ended too soon, as you broke away the moment you started blushing intensely. âcome, iâll do your hairâ you said, fake coughing as you led him to your shared bed for the night. you climbed on the bed and sat behind him, and seonghwa was sure he died and went to heaven. he unconsciously closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of your fingers combing his long hair into a half ponytail. once you were done, you straightened your dress and grabbed his hand.
âready to go?â you asked, smiling. he nodded.
âââ
the ceremony was beautiful, and even the vows you and seonghwa swore would be questionable ended up being terribly adorable. once the groom finished what he had to say, seonghwa whispered in your ear âcute, but i still think this is doomedâ, making you laugh silently in your place while simultaneously getting side eyed by other guests.
as the night went by, you found yourself in the need of fresh air from all the intense partying inside the venue. as if seonghwa read your mind, he pulled you from the dancing crowd and led you to the garden with your hands intertwined.
âthank you, i was starting to feel overwhelmedâ you thanked him once outside. he nodded, smiling âi could see it on your faceâ.
âyou always seem to know what iâm thinking about, hwa. youâre amazingâ you said, in a low voice that only he could hear from his place next to you. âof course, iâm the only exception, right?â he said. you nodded âyouâre also my only exception, y/nâ he added, now turning his body to face you entirely.
the garden was lit with tiny lights and candles all over the place, and thankfully the sky was clear enough you could see the stars. you could hear a slow dance playing in the background, belonging to the main venue where everyone watched the newlyweds waltz.
âwanna dance?â seonghwa asked, taking notice of the way your gaze switched from him to the main couple. you looked at him once again and smiled âi donât feel like going back so soon, can we dance here?â you asked. âof courseâ he answered, taking a better hold of your hand as his other wrapped around your waist, bringing you closer. funny, you didnât even realize you were still holding hands. it almost felt natural to you.
you slow danced to the faint music, and you could feel your heart beat louder and louder with each step. a strange feeling bubbled up on your chest, before lifting up your head from his chest to face him. he was already looking at you, making the feeling more intense. âhwa, can i ask you something?â you asked, earning a hum from him. âanythingâ.
âwhy am i your only exception?â you asked in a whisper. you saw the faint blush creeping on his cheeks as he sighed, thinking of different ways to approach the topic. âi think youâre the only one who has ever made me feel the way i feelâ he answered, deciding to just spill the truth he was yearning to say. âyouâre the only exception because you are the only one for meâ.
as soon as he finished saying that, his hands dropped to his sides, as he took a few steps back, giving you space. âiâm sorry i canât continue being your best friend, not when i feel the way i feel every time i see youâ, he said, loud enough for you to hear while averting his gaze.
yet you always managed to surprise him. he was sure you would feel disgusted, betrayed that your best friend of years suddenly viewed you in a different light. but instead, you approached him again, hugging him close and shaking your head. âi donât want to lose youâ you started saying, feeling the way he slowly and cautiously wrapped his arms around your waist. âbut also i would be a fool to ignore the butterflies in my stomach when you say such beautiful things. can you, i mean, can we give each other a chance?â you asked, voice trembling in fear of ruining it.
he cupped your face, thumb smoothing your right cheek. you realized that his stare held a lot more than you initially noticed, for how long did he look at you light that? for how long have you been dismissing his feelings? your questions subdued as he leaned closer, lips now only inches apart. he looked straight to your eyes, as if asking for your permission. you nodded, closing your eyes before his soft lips touched yours.
as cliche as it sounds, you felt like fireworks erupted inside of you. it just felt so right, so genuine and like nothing you experienced before. it felt like the first time you ever experienced love as a teenager, but now you were older and wiser. seonghwa wasnât just your best friend, he was also your only exception, the only one for you.
on seonghwaâs side, he further proved his point of being meant for each other.
