Imp-Side Makeb

Dragging my noble idiot (heart of gold, brain of brick)  BH Gronn through Makeb right now (I know, it’s not a smuggler, I’m amazed too!).

I really wish both sides of the storyline utilized all the Hutts we encounter: Tonborro, the Archon, and Oggurobb so that there was more clarity as to the inner workings of the Hutt Cartel at this time.  I don’t recall any Archon on either smuggler, and Oggie hasn’t appeared in the Imp storyline (I’ve already gotten a “good work, you disrespectful bantha jockey” from Marr, so I assume I’m close to the end). 

Same goes for the Avesta family -- I had to check Wookieepedia to confirm that Shalim and Pollus were brothers, with no clear indication as to whether Lemda was Pollus’ kid or another sibling’s kid.  There’s no mention of “my idiot brother” or “my niece could be useful here.”  Making those links between the two stories would have really enriched the planet storyline for people who do have toons on both sides.

I think I like the Imp storyline slightly better, with the attempt at stealth vs the Hutts and the Pub being used as convenient cover.  I love the fact Jace Malcom is happy the Republic evacuees were saved, but pissed as hell that my Imp BH did it.

At the same time, some of the choices are either “Dark Stupid” or “Light as a Carebear” -- very binary, fewer shades of grey than I’d like Do I punch the scientist or be supportive of his little egg head?  Do I kill the Pub soldier or do I lovingly patch up his wounds?   Why can’t I make dickish comments and walk off as a ‘middle of the road’ choice?

Also: Cytharat is a lovely guy.  Why did Bioware hustle him off, stage left, half-way through the Imp storyline and let Lemda hang out til the end of the Pub storyline? I thought she was a brat, honestly - my smugs were never tempted to kiss the girl.  Cytharat and my BH?  Gronn would have had some explaining to do to Mako, if Cytharat had been allowed to stay for more than just a “please don’t die” kiss.
