So it turns out that No Frills DOES carry milk I can drink. And as much as I don't want to encourage companies in the awful UI of a 4L plastic jug of milk (seriously, can someone from somewhere where that's common tell me how you're supposed to use them? Because I've just been pouring out of the jug, and if this is going to be a regular purchase I need to know how to actually do it.), being able to buy milk in 4L rather than 2L has almost halved the price of my milk. (Given that No Frills charges more for the regular milk, I can just switch the family entirely to this stuff and it'll work out even. I just need to know how to use it.)
#Everyone who gets confused about how bags of milk work#needs to understand that this is the “Fahrenheit is more intuitive” reaction but for packaging#I don't know how to use a 4L jug#feel free to laugh at me for thinking you just pour directly out of the jug#(I don't because it's obviously wrong but I just don't know what to do)#it's all in what you grow up with#I grew up knowing you needed a jug & a bag cutter#you grew up knowing____ (please fill in that blank for me. I want to keep using this but can't make the 7-year-old use a 4kg container)
