This election is going to make me lose my fucking mind, some of y'all are not using your brains at all and it shows
#the amount of people going 'well both parties suck so I'll just vote 3rd party' AUGH#yes both parties suck#but 3rd party candidates are not a viable option right now!#you can't jump to change the 2 party system by starting at the BIGGEST FUCKING ELECTION#if there is no solid foundation for 3rd party candidates in the government it won't win#if you want 3rd party to be an option for presidential elections start voting 3rd party people into local offices#work to establish things like rank choice voting in your area#create that foundation for 3rd party candidates#until then trying to vote 3rd party in the largest election will be actively detrimental#did none of y'all pay attention to what caused trump to win in 2016?#yes the democratic party sucks ass but Trump and what he plans to do is worse#especially for minorities#I would love if we could just vote for who we morally think is a good candidate#but unfortunately with how things are we can't do that or we will end up with the worst option#because the right wing voters aren't splitting their votes between multiple candidates
