OH MY GOSH. Your comic dub is so lovely. Thank you so much. It's literally so cool to see how other people interpret the character's voices and I love the editing and the music is so fun. AND BY GOSH- the mayor got like two lines, but his voice blew me into the stratosphere.

How exciting it is to finally have our guys dubbed amirite? The wait is over!

I've posted my thoughts about the previous VAs here and about Victor's VA change here, if you would like to make a comparison ^_^

I will get to the individual points in a sec, but all of the new voices have three things in common:

1) They all appear trying to sound as close as possible to the old guys and not to put their own interpretation into their voicing... in order to assure some sort of continuity maybe?

2) The switch from top tier to lower tier is eminent. The new guys give their best, but their level of experience differ from that of their former ones and it shows.

3) It is still too early to come to conclusions since they've only delivered two lines each so far and dubbing is a learning process. Meaning their styles will change over time (with our help😊)

What about each guy individually? Let's see...

Kiro

- I really feel like Kiro fans are the most blessed ones in every server in terms of VAs. All of them can convey Kiro's personality perfectly. Andrew Bates is the best new VA if you ask me. Especially when he's saying "under the sun" and "to protect you" he not only sounds just like Sean but can also pass on Kiro's deep from the heart, optimistic, childlike demeanor really good. Wonder how it's going to be for Helios? One thing is for sure... It looks very promising 👌🏻

Lucien

- Hmm... Anthony's voice is quite similar to Bill's and at first glance his tone and low voice seems to fit Lucien. I have one issue so far and that is Anthony's thick Florida accent when he's saying "master" and "answer". Lucien has spent long time in England, so I would expect him so have some effects of his stay on his accent which could be spotted with Bill's dubbing, however I couldn't hear it with Anthony, so it can change over time. Lucien's voice should be without much sound waves, few accentuation, calm sounding and with hints of British influence here and there. Just imagine Lucien with a British accent 😍

Victor

- In my previous posts I've stressed out that I wasn't quite the fan of Ben's voice because he was sounding like an arrogant, wanna-be kinda guy with his burpy voice. It was sexy at times and the Victor stans worshipped his voice, but it wasn't for me. I like things natural so Ben has played a huge role in me not sympathizing with Victor (among other things) ❤️. With Scott, I was actually thrilled about Victor's voice because Scott was making him sound like a mature, confident man and not someone who is "trying to sound charismatic". Eliah sounds pretty mediocre in the PV imo. Therefore I would rank Victor VAs as Scott>Ben>Eliah, so fingers are crossed.

Gavin

- Hmm... What do I think of Alan? He actually kinda sounds like Joe doesn't he? For me Joe was a very fitting VA for Gavin because he had many parallels between him and Gavin behind the scenes. Be it their military background, athletism, talent for music and being unfamiliar with mushy lovey things 😉 Alan uses only one part of Gavin's voice in the PV which is his soft, husky voice so I need to hear more to come to a conclusion. How does he sound when mischievous, intimidating, worried, flirting? What about the ASMRs? Gavin stans are waiting for the Whispers ASMR for a good while now, thus f it will be the deciding stage for me.

A completely irrelevant remark on my end. Each time I see this PV I must think about the Ending of the frist season from Free! (I'm sorry, the final of Free! franchise is right around the corner so it's all about Rinharu in my mind at the moment. This ship is about to sail yo! 🦈🐬)

Google streetview. When I can’t travel or when I’m dreaming I just call Google for help aka streetview which is an excellent occupation when you’re procrastinating or bored or like nostalgic and I mean VERY nostalgic or basically Wanderlust is at your highest

Lighning gazing. Stargazing is cute. Lightning (thunder) gazing is magnificent. The only time when I bless the Dutch shitty weather

Wikipedia. God it’s like a fk blackhole with endless articles. I love it.

Jazz. All I can say is that jazz is NOT dead.

Justin Trudeau. Aka MP on his way2steal yo gurl. God he’s so hot. Doesn’t mean I agree with all his political beliefs but well, everyone has flaws like Emma Watson and Panama papers. Just sayin. Man JT is such a daddy

Books. I guess having Goodreads explains everything. Book hoe for life.

Languages. Talking about hoes, yeah language slut over here. I’d reaaally love to chat with someone in French, Vietnamese or German to improve these languages! Also, I’m learning Spanish, Russian, Italian, Greek and Arabic. Yeah I know, this is quite hardcore. I’m even considering learning Chinese since China is seriously gonna be the new empire. I mean check their economy, I need to open a bank in China just in case when European banks fuck up. Last but not least about languages, I’ve got a thing for the British accent.(I guess that’s why I’ve always hung around with the British crowd but hey I’d love to talk to Americans to make fat jokes just kiddiiing) If I could choose an English accent I’d choose Australian, Scottish or South-African. Oh and I love learning foreign swear words

Mixtapes. This is serious business, you hear me? The playlist, the songs, everything even the title of the mix has to be perfect and has to be fit together.

Drunk dance parties. I mostly just a cavewoman with her books and all though but I like parties from time to time. But yeah I need to think of my more introvertish personality lmao. Sometimes I’m kinda socially exhausted because fuck social skills and shit etc etc I’ve told that to a few friends and they were like wtf so yeah I don’t expect you to understand lol (or maybe they are more extrovert?)
