Ahh i mentioned "pacino quirks" in my Carlito ask! So funny that someone picked up on it. Basically he always does something surprising that makes a character feel human, more than a series of lines in a script. Might be just a lil movement or unexpected line delivery. My personal fave is DDA, Sonny has a facial tic when he's nervous which adds fragility even in his most threatening moments so we always kinda see the scared lil dude under the facade. Lots of actors do it but Al is the best ❤️

SKODSGJFKG I WENT STRAIGHT TO IRL AL’S QUIRKS. 💀💀 Oopsie, my bad. 😂😂 But yessss, I love the quirks he gives to his characters in his films so, SO much! There’s a lot of actors and actresses I admire for many reasons, but the way Al portrays his characters...his acting, his style...EVERYTHING... It’s phenomenal. I haven’t seen it done like that from anyone else. He really brings his characters and roles to life and that’s why you look at them and go “yeah, nobody BUT Al can have this role” 😭 Francis Ford Coppola was so real for being the first to say that. 💀❤ HE KNEW!!!

I remember reading somewhere that Al purposefully moved heavier (with whatever actions he did) and was “broodier” (😂) to fit Michael, and when I read the script of TGF2, I noticed things Michael was supposed to say as lines that were taken out. Al has really just molded Michael perfectly. Those stern, cold eyes for one...mmmm... 

I also remember when I was going to first watch Scarecrow that I read up the plot of the film and thought “well okay, these are just some guys” (good way 😂) but the way Al portrayed Lion is not just “some guy”, he’s the best “just a little guy”!! He’s got that warmth and wholesomeness radiating off of him. He could have just been “some guy” who was a sailor tagging along with Max, but tbh the little nose scrunching, the smiles, the wholesome way he interacts with people with just his body language, yeah... I could ramble on and on about the quirks he gives for his characters. 😭💞
