anyway, rose put the thought in my head and now i can't stop thinking about marian & guy & robin all being able to bring out the very worst in each other. there are periods where rob and marian are so frustrated with each other & neither of them are using their words (well) and robin is so mad, so often. and obviously i'm not saying it's the exact same vibe as robin & guy, who robin literally wants dead and has only not killed because marian asked him very earnestly not to. but both of them have a knack for bringing out the less appealing parts of his personality on occasion / in specific situations. and i think that guy, specifically, brings out robin's cruelty more than robin would perhaps want to admit.
