Orym is this, Orym is that. Orym is a small little guy with so many issues that negatively affects both the people around him and himself and I want to shake him until he breaks and gets put back together

This is perhaps overly salty, but I cannot believe that in this campaign we are still asking "Do we have confirmation that he's bad?"
Yes.
Holy shit, YES.
We have nothing but evidence that he's bad.
Since apparently we need a refresher I present a nonexhaustive list of harm caused by Ludins' plan and his followers:
- The death of Oryms Husband and Father-in-law and other Ashari, as well as wounding Keyleth
-The death of the Lumas Twins, and wounding their bodyguard Oshad Breshio
-The death of Orym and Laudna (Yes, they got better but that doesn't mean they weren't still killed)
- The death of Lord Ehsteross
- Feeblemimd attack on Kadija Sumal
- Petrification (and possibly death) of Planerider Ryn
-The Malleus Key, which the nightmare king worked on using Mahaan children as test subjects.
- Vax's continual torment in orb form
-The last time Ludinus tried to contact Predathos the whole city of Molaesmyr fell and the Savalirwood was corrupted. It's not 100% clear that he caused/contributed to this event, but Bells Hells came away convinced they were related.
Other problems caused that Bells Hells would not necessarily know about, but the audience is and seem worth mentioning:
- The War of Ash and Light. He's the Archmage of Domestic Protections, so he's the member of the Assembly that oversees military relations and development of arcane weaponry. He was also the one who arranged for the theft of the Luxon Beacons that incited the war.
-He was aware of Ikithon's abusive teaching practices and at the very least allowed them, if not actively encouraged and collaborated in them.
I'm not sure what more evidence you really need, here.
I do think Matt is trying to push more of the philosophical debate on pro vs anti god, perhaps for things later down the road in the campaign. But at the moment those questions are largely irrelevant, and what is relevant is stopping the harm Ludinus is causing.
Making it about the gods is a convenient excuse to distract from an extremely powerful man, both as a wizard and on a political level, with an incredible amount of wealth and resources with a plan to make himself even more powerful (perhaps even trying to ascend to godhood) with no regard for who may be sacrificed in pursuit of his personal gain. Most of the people who are following him are hurt, angry or scared (like Bor'dor) that he's convinced that he has a solution for them or that his power will trickle down to them.
It feels like that should be enough.
