every so often i'll see someone make a comment on that one scott pilgrim post i did like "this is an interesting way to read the text but this comic came out from 2004 to 2010, so we shouldn't look at it through a 2020s lens" and like

yeah it's mostly a joke on my part i do not seriously think brian lee o' malley was intentionally writing a trans story

but also do you seriously think trans people only started existing in the year 2020
