like, i know it’s widely accepted (is it canon?) that tlt characters have kiwi accents but i so clearly hear ianthe calling harrow “Harry” in an american accent, something about it makes the nickname even more annoying and obnoxious in my mind. idk if it’s because i’m american so i read in my own accent but i can’t hear harry in any other accent it just doesn’t feel as effective

I have to agree that an american accent would make ianthe more obnoxious but personally I can't read her dialogue without remembering moira quirk's narration for the audiobooks. She gives ianthe an EXTREMELY obnoxious posh british accent, and I'm very attached to it, even though as someone with a strong regional accent, I support tamsyn's make everyone sound kiwi agenda
