"in dream smp things have consequences" WHERE DID THE DREAMONS GO !!!!!!

everyone jokes about the dsmp having ridiculous lore while hermitcraft is a lot more tame even though you can make statements like "the mayor of the nearby shopping center, who is also a wizard and ceo/founder of major drilling/rocket company ScarX, is waging war against mushrooms" and have them be completely factual

#/lh ofc #yes dsmp tends to have consequences for actions but they also drop a Lot of events #but hermitcraft ALSO has character focused consequences - jevin stealing a mooshroom started ren on a descent into madness in hc7 #the main difference is just... dsmp is a drama and so they play things dramatically #and hc is a lighthearted adventure with occasional dark/spooky undertones that likes to play stuff for Silly #/nm btw !!!!!!#hermitcraft is also a bit more ... contained with its storylines?#they tend not to introduce new threads on a whim (missing nuke... time travel... techno in prison... ranboo at the red banquet... etc)#and the plotlines fhey di have are usually wrapped up with a neat bow #ex. when xisuma got bored of evil xisuma he banished him from the server #and now hes back bc xisuma had ideas #ren wrapped up the aforementioned descent into darkness arc with a 20 minute minecraft movie #where he fought a sith snd had flashbacks to past events from the season and became a literal cyberdog #and now hes a cyborg!#hermitcraft is also improvised but they dont lean so heavily into the story and drama and that allows them #to wrap things up neatly. and have the results of their actions Make Sense when neccessary #idk im rambling #hc7 #hc8 #dreamsmp
