every day, once a year, yelan takes a day off.
this is written directly into her contract with the tianquan. there are no exceptions, no special arrangements. on this singular day, yelan does not belong to the qixing; on this singular day, her leash and collar are abandoned, and she has free reign to do as she pleases.
what does she do? well, prepare for your anniversary, of course.
she hops out of bed, cleans up, tugs her jacket on and then slips out the door with the clink of her jade bracelet. it’s a clear day, and yelan tilts her head to the sky briefly, letting the golden sunrays warm her face almost like an embrace. you were never really a morning person, but the sun on your skin always suited you. shed have to drag you out of bed to see it, but it was always well worth your grumbling in the end when you finally cave and offer her a smile which she would then steal with a kiss.
“ugh, yelan—“ you giggled, your hands on her chest gently pushing her back. your bracelet was cool against her skin, and the matching one on her own wrist hummed. she nosed along your jaw, pressing more and more kisses until she reached your neck. playfulness turned into something a little more heated, and her blood sang at the sigh she pulled from your lips. emerald eyes flicked up to you, teasing, challenging, and you managed a wry huff before tangling your fingers in her hair and tugging her back to properly kiss her again. it stung, beautifully, but yelan grinned all the way."
she shakes herself out of the memory, and steps into the busy street. liyue’s morning scene has always been crowded, and she blends into the throng with practiced ease. she follows the flow of the crowd down the wharf until she reaches the shop she’s looking for—a florist, tucked snugly between two other stores on the higher levels of the shopping district.
the owner, a midde-aged woman, looks up from tending to her orchids to smile at her. her eyes crease with familiarity at the sight of yelan as the spy steps into her store, fingers brushing the petals of a few flowers. the woman rounds the counter, and rummages in the storage for a few moments.
“the usual, i take it?” she asks, and yelan nods, leaning against the counter and tapping her fingers over the grainy wood. the shop hasn’t changed much, if at all, since she last came here with you.
you leaned down by a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, lips curving upward into a smile as you breathed in the soft, floral scent. yelan looked curiously over your shoulder, a hand casually resting on your hip. she asked if it was your favorite flower—you nodded, your other hand rising to just as casually cup her face from over your shoulder. “they’re quite pretty, aren’t they?” you hummed, and yelan took a moment to ponder the question. in the end, she said they were nowhere near as pretty as you, and took the light smack you delivered to her shoulder with an easy laugh.
the florist clears her throat, coaxing her out of the memory. yelan recieves the bouquet—white chrysanthemums—with a smile, settling it in the crook of her arm. the woman’s expression is measured, but there’s a slight waver to her tone when she speaks. if yelan really had to name it, it sounds close to… pity.
“yelan—“ she begins, but she only flashes the woman a signature grin, before slipping out the door as quickly as she came. she has other things to get, after all, and the clock is always ticking.
(or maybe her clock stopped ticking a long time ago and all this is just extra. maybe it cracked when the rocks fell and the earth buried—)
she dissolves back into the crowd as she heads to her next destination: wanmin restaurant. she can smell the chili in the air as she makes her way down the street again, a sharpness only wanmin seems to be able to make. when she gets there, xiangling is boisterously calling out orders while her father toils away in the kitchen, with guoba tirelessly maintaining the roaring fire for his wok. when she sees her, xiangling’s grin only widens, and she waves her over enthusiastically.
“miss yelan! welcome, welcome,” the young chef says cheerily. “here for another batch of dried chillies?”
yelan chuckles, shaking her head. “no, not this time. i’m here for a few rice buns. with a sweet filling, preferably.”
“ooh,” xiangling coos, nodding. “are you planning to go on an expedition? rice buns are both portable and satiating.”
“you could say that,” yelan says vaguely. the little chef is right, in a way, since she’ll have to hike a little to get to your spot—but really, it’s because rice buns have always been a comfort food of sorts for you.
“how can you not like them?” you asked defensively as you trudged along with her behind the group. there was a slight smear of filling on the corner of your lip, and your expression scrunched up a little more as she wiped it off. her jade bracelet was cool against your heated cheeks. yelan only shook her head, teasingly remarking that spice was a much greater wake-up call than sweets. you huffed at that, taking another bite of your rice bun. “not all of us are masochists, lan’er,” you grumbled, and yelan laughed softly. her nimble fingers encircled your wrist, tugging you closer so she could take a quick bite of your bun. it was sweet, sweeter than she’d like, but maybe that was because you were there. and somehow, that made it good.
yelan pulls herself out of yet another memory when xiangling deposits the bag of warm rice buns into her hands. they’re freshly steamed, and the scent of warm buns fill her senses. she thanks the chef, and disappears much the same way she came before the young lady can get even so much as a word in. in the back of her mind, she can almost hear you chastise her for it.
(she always hears you in the back of her mind. if not, where else—)
there’s only one thing left on her list, and it’s incense. it’s late in the morning now, so the crowds have thinned out—and without her cover, yelan takes to back alleys and rooftops instead. she sighs, relieved almost, as she slips into the shimmering, reflective cover of hydro, darting like a minnow between buildings like rocks, barely a blur in the eyes of anyone nearby. the secrecy isn’t strictly necessary for what she’s doing now, but she’s been so used to being unseen that being in the open feels… unsafe.
it doesn’t take her that long to reach wangsheng funeral parlor. the young lady running the parlor isn’t in today—instead, it’s her ‘assistant’, the elegant man shrouded in such thick mystery that neither her nor ningguang has been able to pierce. he greets her with a solemn expression, no doubt because director hu has told him the reason for her visit. “incense?” he asks again anyway to confirm, his voice low and soft. yelan nods absently, her nose stinging slightly from the intense scent permeating the parlor.
she watches as the man disappears into the back of the parlor for a moment, before he reappears with a delicately wrapped packet of incense sticks. she slides a pouch of mora his way, which he takes wordlessly. she tucks the packet into her little pocket dimension, then turns on her heel to leave. just as she exits the door, he calls out to her.
“safe travels.”
she doesn’t deign him with a response.
her feet take her out and away from the city, down the familiar path to the bleeding wound in the earth—the chasm. the land goes from valleys to large, curling momuments of rock, carved by the force of a falling star. she feels that familiar tug in her chest, the voice that calls to her, that tells her to forsake the surface as her ancestor once did. she listened to it, once. and—
“go,” you whispered, pushing her away. half of you was buried under rock, and she could only see one of your eyes; the other was forced shut by the blood that trickled down your face. yelan nearly screamed herself hoarse, but you grabbed her face and kissed her. it tasted like salt, and her heart lurched at the wrongness. your kisses had always been sweet. you slipped your bracelet onto her wrist, then pushed her again, and then the earth heaved and groaned, and it was the last she ever saw of you—
she turns her head and rips herself out of the memory and the temptation; she has other, more important places to be today. she has other days to chase down her demons. she skirts the side of the chasm, slowly ascending to the top. she passes by the memorial to the millelith, and leaves a rice bun and a few sticks of incense as an offering. they too, deserve to be remembered after all.
(she wonders if anyone else comes out here to remember them. she wonders who will come when she’s gone for—)
it takes her a while, but eventually, she reaches the highest point in the chasm. the sun has traveled across the sky by this point, the afternoon heat mellowing out into a slightly cooler evening warmth. the sky is alive with shades of gold when she finally stops, drawing to a halt right before a smooth stone, standing upright from the earth like a silent vigil. she kneels before it, producing three sticks on incense and inserting them into the censer before the stone and lighting them. she sets a rice bun on the plate by the stone, and saves one for herself. the bouquet of white chrysanthemums, she lays on top of the stone.
yelan takes a bite of her rice bun, letting the sweetness settle on her tongue, as the floral scent mixes with the incense, filling her lungs and settling on her shoulders. she tilts her head to the sun, and the warmth feels almost like an embrace. and when she closes her eyes, the wind in her hair feels almost like a caress. when she opens them again, she lets them rest on the stone—the headstone, and she offers it a smile.
sitting on the edge of the cliff, your legs swinging, you smiled at her, nearly blindingly bright like the golden hour. your pinkies were twined together, your shoulders flush with hers. there was a bouquet of white chrysanthemums on your lap, and just a few crumbs on the corner of your lips. your voice carried in the wind when you spoke.
“happy anniversary, yelan.”
“happy anniversary, sweetheart,” she whispers. the wind carries her voice as well, and she hopes you hear it, wherever you are now. one day, she’ll join you, but for now she takes another bite of her rice bun and breathes in the scent of incense and chrysanthemums.

can.. can I ask for an affectionate reader with characters who aren’t normally like… used to the love? like, not just through words but physical affection like hand-holding, kisses, hugs, all that shebang. probably with a few people like yelan, ei, basically any character that is either cut-off from society or seems socially distant or isolated. 😞
☆ affectionate reader with yelan, ei, & furina
[ 4.2 Archon Quest spoilers ]
× yelan
Varies between how you display your affection, to be honest. Just like being affectionate with people? She's cool with it as long as you don't pop by while she's working (mostly because she'll end up dragging you into it for a bit of fun). I don't think she's all that touchy feely herself, but she'll absolutely get you gifts instead– like pretty knick nacks? She'll make sure to snag any she thinks you might like. Like a good meal? Sure, she'll take you out to one of the restaurants in the city, doesn't matter how expensive. Her treat. If you do prefer physical gifts rather then being taken out, you'll eventually get used to the random unmarked letters and packages showing up where your staying pretty often. It's obvious to know who it came from even if she never signs anything.
Flirty reader, though? Whole nother can of worms and now it's a challenge. The more confident you are the more interested she is. The other acolytes would absolutely seethe at the idea but she has no hesitation at just straight up flirting back– she's as charismatic as they come and she's got a poker face that's basically impenetrable. She'll probably also make a bet to see who cracks first (she always wins, unsurprisingly). Probably won't get dragged into any of her schemes this way but if you ask politely maybe she'll consider it, anyway.
The smell of freshly brewed tea and the clatter of dice across wood was a common sight at the Yanshang Teahouse– less common was the woman secluded in the far corner, her lips pulled into a grin that flashed fangs and a look that would scare off the most confident of men.
She'd normally try to scope out any new blood that'd made the mistake of stepping into her teahouse and was equally stupid enough to accept a gamble against her just for the thrill of it, but she was far too absorbed in the warm body at her side, one of her die clasped tightly in their hand as she guided them through the motions– they had a knack for it, she had to admit. The thought made her preen, the clatter of the die as it rolled across the table giving her that subtle, familiar rush.
Even if she knew exactly where it'd land.
"Six. Hm, maybe you're just lucky," She muses, plucking the die from the table and holding it up to her eye like a prized jewel, "Or maybe you're not as innocent as you'd have us believe." There's a sharp glint in her eyes at the prospect, but everyone else has the sense to keep their heads down and their words to themselves as she tosses the die herself.
"So why don't we find out and make a bet, just between you and me?"
× ei
Varies between Ei and the Shogun, because you'll probably be seeing either as much as the other. Sometimes you gotta really squint to tell who it is sometimes, but you get used to it. Both are fairly similar, though, in that their first instinct (especially in public) is to tense up like you're about to attack them or something. Difference is Ei eventually relaxes after a solid minute of trying to process your sudden affection and, if no one else is around, she might even reciprocate. Just don't tease her for being a little stiff and awkward about it, she's trying. That's what happens when your only company is a robot and uh. Nothing. For like 500 years. She's trying. Raiden, on the other hand, is just about as awkward as you can imagine. She's polite (blunt) about it because Ei is fond of you and also you are. The Creator. But she's not really built to deal with personal relationships and so she doesn't know how to deal with affection.
..Depending on what you do you may or may not blue screen Ei hard enough that she retreats back to PoE
Ei usually isn't fond of sitting still, unless it's to meditate. At least then she goes in with a purpose, something to achieve– but now, she's just focused on trying not to make a fool of herself. Her muscles are starting to ache from how hard she's tensing, though, in an effort to sit as straight and still as possible as their hands glide through her hair, weaving it into a single braid.
She can just barely hear the subtle lilt of their voice as they hum– and though it is soothing, it is also..very distracting. She can't focus long enough to try and meditate, too lost in the gentle rise and fall of their voice and the care they take to braid her hair. If she'd had a heart, she'd sure it'd be beating so wildly against her ribcage they could hear it.
But then it stops– their hands fall back to their sides and their humming falters. She freezes, too, racking her brain for any slights she must have committed. Instead, she is met with a calm, tender touch on the back of her neck, making her inhale sharply.
"Am I making you uncomfortable, Ei? You're so tense.." She has to grit her teeth to stop herself from bowing so low her head presses against the ground, her hands folded in her lap, clenching instinctively. "..No, Divine One." She answers simply, trying to contain the adoration swelling in her chest.
Yet as much as she tries to relax, to ease their worries, she finds that she cannot.
"Hm." That small murmur, a simple sound that nearly made her jump, was the only warning she got before they scooted closer, wrapping their arms around her stomach and resting their chin on her shoulder with a grin she would liken to Miko's, if she dared to make such a comparison. "Really?"
She swears she must've been feverish at the affection, lightheaded and dazed until she thought she might simply perish at the brush of their hands against her own.
Much to her embarrassment, however, she doesn't realize she's instinctively pulled back into Plane of Euthymia until she sees the familiar dull purples engulf her vision once again.
Though only a small solace, it seemed a little..brighter, this time.
× furina
Varies between pre 4.2 and post 4.2 archon quests to be honest.
Pre 4.2 she comes off as very vain– of course the most Divine would see fit to spoil her with affection! She deserves it, and is obviously their favorite! Just don't look too hard because she's terrible at hiding how flustered she actually is. Absolutely goes home right after and screams into her pillow for at least thirty minutes minimum.
Post 4.2 she's a lot more openly bashful and flustered. She's really not used to affection and even the smallest show of it has her folding immediately. Now that she doesn't need to worry about being found out she's a lot more receptive to affection. Cup her cheeks and compliment her and her knees are buckling. Like. Especially weak for compliments and praise (she deserves it. please spoil her).
She swears she must be hallucinating– she had been having trouble sleeping recently. But..no. The visage of the Creator was as real as the sweat beading on her brow as she stared at them for a long, awkward moment. Should..she let them in? But then they'd see the pathetic state she was in, and the last thing she wanted to do was make a fool of herself in front of them-!
Her choice was quickly made for her, anyway, as she let out an undignified squeak of surprise when they suddenly tugged her forward into their chest, enclosing her in a hug.
Her first reaction was to freeze– her second was becoming absolutely flustered, her cheeks flushing a soft pink and her mouth closing and opening as she tried to find her words.
"I– ah..um." She stumbled over her words instead, floundering like a fish out of water. Yet she felt a distinct sense of emptiness wash over her when they finally pulled back, looking a touch sheepish. "Sorry, sorry– you just looked like you needed a hug."
The silence spoke for itself, her shoulders tensing slightly. But the way the concern and affection bled through their voice made her waver, her hands trembling as she let out a shaky breath that almost sounded like a sigh.
"It's..It's fine! Fine, I'm fine." She repeated, trying desperately to ignored the way her voice cracked and how hot her face felt– though it was more an attempt to affirm herself that she was not thinking about how warm they felt, how much she..actually enjoyed the hug. She wasn't thinking about it all! Absolutely not!
..Maybe a little.
"Just warn me next time, please?"

꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱₊˚⊹ Tktober Day 21: Costume
Tags: Yelan/Ganyu (romantic), sexual tension (non-explicit but very much there), nudity, pet names, teasing
“Arms up, gorgeous.”
“Eep!”
Yelan smiles as Ganyu cringes away from the measuring tape again, cheeks flushed red from just a few minutes in the same room. It helped, perhaps, that the Qixing’s little secretary was nude but a thin bodysuit clinging to her skin, and Yelan knew all too well how to dance her fingers along supple skin. She waves the tape in the air, reminding them of the task. “You have to stay put for me or the measurements won’t be right, you know?”
“I-I’m sorry, Yelan. I’m just sensitive,” Ganyu says, her face deepening in color as she squirms. The very sight of her is dangerous, doe eyes looking up at her, inviting, so like the way they did just a night ago…
She tweaks Ganyu’s side, chuckling as she quite literally leaps out of her arms, feet jolting upwards as her hair bounces in the air. Her face scrunches up in accusation. “Yelan, please!”
Very well. Yelan rolls back the measuring tape, prepared to get back to actual work, only to still as Ganyu walks back into her sight with a nervous smile. “We’ll be behind schedule if we don’t finish recording the measurements today. Can’t you wait to tic—tease me after we’re done?”
Her face seems to redden at the thought, yet her eyes are earnest. Yelan’s mouth twitches; beneath that innocent glamour is a ravenous appetite, and the invitation to coax it back into her bed is all too tempting.
Still. It wouldn’t be fun if she gave away too much just yet.
“Alright, alright,” Yelan sighs, raising her arms innocently. The tape dangles between pointed fingers as she relents. “Let’s get this done. Don’t want to keep the higher ups waiting—aren’t you lucky, getting a new costume made for Lantern Rite?”
Ganyu nods. “It’s an honor.”
“I’m sure,” she says. Her knuckles rap the small of Ganyu’s back. “Turn around for me, sweetheart.”
And oh, how Ganyu does so gracefully. Her blue hair spills past her shoulders, bare of her usual collar, wide sleeves, and Yelan’s shadow swallows her up easily. The tape comes loose easy, then tight, Ganyu’s breath hitching as Yelan’s finger taps along the shape of her sides. She smiles, slow, fingers tracing invisible patterns on still skin.
“72. You’re doing perfect.”
It’s impossible not to tease at least a little, fingers fluttering along bare skin, when a full course is laid before her. The tape comes with her, interlapping pinches and strokes with numbers and sweet serenades, and if Ganyu lets loose a few stuttered giggles when Yelan lingers too long beneath her arms, wriggling her fingers in that sensitive spot and then dragging them slow along her shoulder blades, well—whose to tell?
Certainly not the scarlet red of Ganyu’s ears.
“60,” Yelan pauses, drawing up a handful of wavy locks and pressing a kiss to it. “Beautiful.”
It’s certainly not unnoticed that every compliment leaves Ganyu redder. Sweet serenades fall from her lips with ease as she draws the tape around ticklish spots once, twice, nudging the sweet points she knows well. Yet even as she teases, as Ganyu’s knees shuffle together when the wandering tape falls lower and her nails skirt the lines of her hips, Ganyu remains resolutely still, ever so careful to let Yelan finish her measurements.
It’s exactly that unwavering dedication to the job that caught Yelan’s gaze from the very first day. She smiles, tender, as she kneels and wraps the tape around Ganyu’s thigh. Down the length of her leg, the width of her knee, her calves, her ankle… though she doesn’t resist clawing Ganyu’s raised sole, meant to measure the length of her food, and Ganyu’s leg wobbles on a squeak.
“Yelan! Please!”
Speak of perfect timing. Yelan grins, dropping the tape entirely.
“Oh, didn’t I say? That was the last one—we’re done.” Ganyu shrieks as she’s pulled back, dissolving into laughter as hands dance back up her body. Oh, she’s going to enjoy this immensely; judging from the pink tint to Ganyu’s cheeks, she’s not the only one. Yelan purrs.
“Didn’t you say I could tic—tease you all I’d like now? It’s time to make good on your promises, gorgeous.”

Can i submit a request?
I was thinking a yelan x fem reader where the reader gets injured and almost dies, while yelan is terrified that she could lose the person she holds most dear. basically her being super protective and sweet to reader after finding out what happened.
໒⦂ 𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐒.
notes. hello anon, i hope this is what you were looking for! yelan is so mother istg and the “who hurt you” is giving so hard.. please enjoy, super sorry for the delay!
genre. hurt + comfort
tw. descriptions of blood, wounds & violence; mentions of death, slightly ooc yelan ( being vulnerable )
yelan x fem!reader.
a trail of crimson followed your descend towards the steps leading into liyue harbor, eyes barely half lidded.
your skin had been torn from blades, bruises littering your skin in every possible hue a mark could take on, as the pressing urge to just let go of it all increased with each movement you took on.
the life was leaving your body rapidly, you could practically feel it inside you, slamming on the wounds and bruises in the form of blood to flee into the after life. a release from the agony left behind from a fatui attack you just so happened to be the target of.
why you, of all people, had been targeted, you weren’t all too sure of.. but something told you it might have been because of a relationship you had — or rather, the very person you were with.
the enigma of liyue’s qixing, yelan.
otherwise, the only reason you hadn’t dropped dead already.
as you closed in on the yanshang teahouse, a breath of relief nearly left your lips. you’d made it back alive — not in the best shape, but alive nonetheless.
it was after hours, but yelan would always come for a few gambles, wine and a good release from the work she conducted in.
guilt poured into you, the realization dawning that her relaxation time would be sullied with this mess you’d made of yourself. something that could have easily been avoided, had you known basic self defense.
pain shot through your thigh as you bit the inside of your cheek to quell your cries, raising a shaky hand to open the door.
laughter could be heard on the other side, a bit louder than it should have been. was it your ears ringing, or was someone there?
nevertheless, you threw your weight into the door to help push it open, panting quietly as your legs carried you through the doorway.
hearing the thud, yelan was quick to turn her head at the perk of ears, freezing in place at the sight of you.
the tremor in her heart was like an earth shattering quake, unlike anything she’d ever felt before. like her world had been torn apart right in front of her eyes as she jumped out of her seat and lunged for your battered self.
her arms were swift to prevent you from colliding with the hardwood flooring, feeling your body tremble from the loss of blood. how long had you been outside? with pursed lips, the hydro archer threw her coat around you that she’d stolen once as revenge against the fatui harbinger, regrator.
for the moment, it didn’t matter if the snow colored jacket was stained with crimson. nor the expensive outfit she wore as she cradled your frigid body close to hers.
that was the effect you had on her. your well being easily blurred everything, as the care she had for you ran deep- deeper than any ocean, cavern or abyss could.
sensing the change in atmosphere, wenyuan and shanghuam — yelan’s trusted assistsnts, ushered any remaining players and guests out of the teahouse to the rooftop. it was for the best that their boss was given the necessary time to tend to her lover without her usual front.
grateful for the silence, yelan touched your cheek with her hand, pursing her lips together in worry. “who did this to you?” she inquired barely above a whisper, the aloof mask she carried day to day falling, crumbling to reveal a face of quiet rage. “tell me so i know whose lives to silence tonight.”
with a small cough, you leaned your head in her neck, squeezing your eyes shut. “f-fatui.. but they’re gone now.” you breathed out, iron tainting your tastebuds. “they said it was the response of the n-ninth harbinger, in regards to your revenge on him.” came your broken whisper, tears spilling through your lashes.
if you hadn’t been her girlfriend, you wouldn’t have troubled her like this on a night where she was finally enjoying and indulging in herself. all because her foolish, feeble lover couldn’t fight off a hoard of fatui and defend the honor of her partner.
somehow it made the physical pain you felt almost menial in comparison to the clenching and squeezing at your heart — the most vital organ you possessed. the one you had given to the person you most cherished. “i-i’m so sorry, i wasn’t able to defend your reputation- it’s all because i wanted us to be open — n-now the wrong people found out..!”
yelan found herself frowning as the apologies continued to spill out of your trembling, rouge stained lips. were you even hearing yourself and what you were saying? probably not, caught up in your panic as you were.
“y/n,” yelan called over your cries, tracing her thumb over your eyelids. “none of this is your fault, and you wanting us to be known to the public as a couple is okay. i would’ve rejected the idea the minute you posed it if it wasn’t.” she assured you a little more calmly this time, allowing her hand to rest on your cheek. “it’s my fault for not being able to dispose of them all. guess some manage to escape underneath my nose and you were charged with the price of my carelessness.” she shut her eyes, lowering her forehead to yours.
“i’m so sorry..” yelan muttered out, the apology almost foreign on her tongue. “i wasn’t there to protect you when you needed me most — archons,” she shook her head, willing her voice to keep from quivering. “i-i don’t know what i would have done if you weren’t able to make it back here.. if the worst had happened-” the teahouse owner forced herself not to finish her sentence, knowing it would indefinitely tear down the strong front she carried. she had been your rock after all, and you were dying in her arms.. there was no luxury for her to crumple and break down.
“please don’t blame yourself for my lack of self awareness and defense..” you pleaded quietly, raising a scarred hand to her cheek. “i’m here- i tried my best to come back.. and be here.” your throat cleared, eyes cracking open to meet her gaze. “i-i thought i could at least do one thing right by making it back to you. i hope.. that it was enough.”
your eyes were barely keeping open, the exhaustion consuming you — which was expected. bleeding out, bruised, and sore as you were, it wasn’t easy walking the trek that you did back to the harbor.
yelan understood that, and only held you closer. “it’s more than enough. so much more than just enough. it’s just so hard not to blame myself for you being hurt by them.. it was their sick method of seeking revenge on me.” she finished lowly, loosing a breath she’d been holding onto. “it’s taking all of me right now not to hunt the lot of them down and fill the grass with a pool of their blood.” they would count themselves lucky for tonight, as your health was a more pressing matter.
watching your eyes flutter closed, the intelligence agent leaned in to peck your lips gently before rising with you in her arms.
the journey had zapped every ounce of your energy, but she was proud of you for coming back to her, regardless of the state you had shown up in.
“thank you for coming home to me, y/n.. i don’t know what i would have done if you hadn’t.”

“I don't want you to go", Yanfei mutters into the crook of Yelan's neck as the rising sun sets in their bedroom.
“I know, love”, Yelan murmurs. She passes her hand, and buries her head, in Yanfei's hair. “I’m not sure I want to go either…”.
Yelan’s eyes close again. Her breathing slows down to a gentle rhythm. Soon enough, snores are the only noise filling their home.

— oh my my ! ♡ | edition: women, version 1.0
ft. ei, miko, yelan & eula x fem!reader content. fluff, modern!au, idol!au mixed with secret agent!au, ooc eula & yelan (first time writing, i apologise), uncomfortable scenarios forced upon reader minorly (it's hinted at), mentions of injury (minor) and weapons/violence.
archon's decree. based off the hoyofair 'oh my my' song by lure! i’m so in love i’ve had it on repeat! also breaking news - perse remembers how to write fluff!
✉️ mail received! sender: ei
sometimes it's easily recognisable as to why the raiden ei of all people has thousands of fans - everyone is down bad for the mysterious, quiet member of the idol girl group whose deep purple hair seems to be neverending down her back, always displayed in a thick braid that her staff sometimes decorate in neon purple lightning shaped hair clips. electric, that's exactly what she is. it's easily to fall in love with someone so dangerous.
it's not so easily recognisable to realise that the boss dressed neatly in a mix of tactical gear and business meeting attire before you, brandishing a smoking gun is that same raiden ei you adore to the point of having a bedroom wall littered in her posters.
one attachment added!
there's a deadly silence that fills the alleyway following the gunshot. is he dead? oh god he might be dead - you shake your head, eyes trailing up the legs of your supposed saviour. they lock onto that braid, it's familiar but you can't quite place where from but then your scared gaze falls onto those purple eyes, looking at you softly.
"raiden.. ei..?" you whisper, unsure as to whether you're dreaming your idol bias standing before you, perhaps it's just the adrenaline. you try to reason with yourself but her eyes seem to widen in response to her name.
"oh," she mumbles faintly, concealing her weapon quickly as she flashes a look over her shoulder - for a moment you glimpse the electro symbol tattooed behind her left ear and your heart jumps up your throat, "you know.. me?"
"that's an understatement," you retort softly, hands beginning to shake. would now be a bad time to fangirl? you're not too sure but there's an energy you can't contain as you look back down at your previous annoyance, "is he.. dead?"
"it was a sleep dart," ei reassures as she approaches, heels clicking on the concrete as she approaches - you catch the red on the sole on her heels as she steps before she kicks at the man's body, "if i killed him, he wouldn't be seen in court for his crimes and true justice wouldn't be served to his victims."
you nod slowly, realising you're still sat on the concrete in bewilderment as you come down from the adrenaline, a shocked gasp coming out of your lips as you hurry to your feet. the sudden action throws you into a dizzy spell, losing your balance as you stumble but an arm locks around your waist, halting your fall.
"careful-" she pauses, noticing the close proximity of your faces when you look up at her. for a brief moment, her hand tightens around your waist and you feel her fingertips press against your hip- "i'd appreciate if you didn't.. mention this to anyone.."
she doesn't let go for a few seconds and you narrow it down to her making sure you're stable enough to stand on your own but with this closed space between you, you feel dizzy of the scent of her perfume - it's faint but smells almost like dango, a sweet dish the tabloids had rumoured to be her favourite. you shakily give another nod, turning your gaze away from the gloss of her lips.
"i didn't see a thing," you comment and ei makes a noise, almost like she's amused by your personality as her arm unwraps from your waist, the two of you standing straight again, "but thanks for.. that."
✉️ mail received! sender: miko
everyone and their mother knows of miko's visuals amongst the members of her group - not to mention her sweet vocals that seem to entice listeners like a siren luring men to the depths. she's cunning both on stage and off the stage, not limited to interviews but reality too. it doesn't take a genius to know that miko is aware of her beauty.
it might take a genius - or a purely unfortunate coincidence - to know that the pretty, pink haired girl you fawn for in your phone case has a job on the side - or is the idol life her job on the side?
one attachment added!
"no thank you." you reject the man politely but he's been persistent, hovering in the bar stool next to you for what seems like hours now. his breath reeks of whiskey and it seems he's not taking no for an answer. chapped lips part to speak again, words that will be slurred and barely coherent when there's a clear of someone's throat, it's soft and yet sweet and authoritative.
"i believe she said no." the woman chimes in, lingering over the man's shoulder as she lets out a sultry smile in your direction. you don't lack to catch how decorated purple nails drop something into the man's half full glass while he's preoccupied. he appears alarmed by her sudden appearance, his vision hazy as he looks up at her.
that's when it hits you, she's familiar. pastel pink locks that tumble down her shoulders and long eyelashes that flutter with every movement of her eyes - yae miko? you blink numerous times, maybe she'd slipped whatever the hell that was into your drink too. but what was she doing in a place like this on a wednesday night? where was her security?
the man raises that very same glass to his lips, parched from his drunken rambling that miko simply seems to nod to. her gaze keeps flickering back to you, heat creeping up your neck to your cheeks as you catch sight of the photocard tucked into your phone case on the bar beside you and you're hit with a wave of embarrassment. moments later, the man's head drops to the bar, resting on his arms as he drifts off. miko grins, waving down a bartender.
"i believe this man has had too much to drink, have someone escort him out," she orders, her voice steady as a bartender hurries to nod, disappearing from behind the bar. she settles on the other stool next to you, her long legs slipping out from under a violet dress decorated with a white feather boa around her neck, "are you alright?"
purple irises fall to your phone case, a smug smile tugging at her lips as you quickly pocket your phone, clearing your throat as if you could reverse time and avoid her ever seeing that by doing so. she leans forward onto the bar, resting her chin on her hand as she awaits your response.
"i- yeah-" you mumble, your breath shaking as you exhale and your brows knit together- "why are you here...?"
miko lets out an amused laugh behind her hand, rings glittering in the warm glow of the oil lamps the bar used for aesthetic lighting.
"i own this bar, dear," she muses, catching the way your whole demeanour shifts at this newfound information, "in fact, i own the whole chain across the city."
"oh." you whisper, a little awestruck that this information had slipped past you about your own idol bias. miko crosses one leg over the other as she watches security carry a limp man out, tapping her nails on the bar. that's when you notice the earpiece tucked into her left ear and the brief outline of a handgun strapped to her thigh under that incredibly flattering dress. miko notices your gaze on her thigh.
"i believe you owe me a favour for getting rid of that pest outside of work hours," she sighs drastically, a smile curling on her face as she watches your face widen in alarm, "relax, i merely ask you don't speak of what you've seen tonight."
you give a quick, obedient nod as you swallow the lump in your throat. her smile turns from coy to soft, almost gentle as her eyelashes flutter shut, a hum coming from her chest. she can't help but be enamoured by your responses to her presence.
✉️ mail received! sender: yelan
lead rapper of the infamous idol girl group sweeping the country, of course you were a huge fan of her - not to mention her ability to write her own raps, she truly was a creative genius that was a force to be reckoned with both as an idol and privately, not that she would ever allow anyone to know. yelan kept quiet, mysterious much like her group member, ei.
sadly keeping quiet doesn't last forever when the suspects you've been pursuing decides to have a side mission with an innocent bystander.
one attachment added!
you don't quite know where to look, flickering between the unconscious - you think - men on the floor and the ongoing fight between a short haired woman in faux leather pants and the last guy who'd been following you. you thought taking the alley shortcut would have thrown the wolves off your scent but instead, you'd been trapped and cornered.
thank god for mysterious - and inexplicably hot - women saving the day?
you watch as he falls to his knees, limp as his head hangs before his body tumbles to the side. the woman huffs, kicking his body just for extra effect before mildly emerald eyes fall to you. you've been sat on the wet concrete since the fight broke out, your back pressed against a brick wall as the rain falls effortlessly onto the scene.
that's when the short dark hair that fades into a dyed blue becomes familiar and you take in the specific way she's done her eyeliner. what the hell - no, you're seeing things. yelan scoffs softly at your lack of words, taking it as a state of shock as she wipes a bloodied combat knife on one of the men's bodies before she approaches you. she's wearing boots, a sure sight different to the heels you'd see her in on stage.
"they're not dead," she suddenly speaks, the movement making her wince when she becomes aware of a cut on her cheek. she pulls out a compact mirror from her jacket pocket, analysing the cut with a roll of her eyes, "that's gonna pay when my manager sees."
"i don't understand- you- what just happened?" you blurt out, brows knitted together as yelan holds a hand out to you, you notice how she wears fingerless gloves, strapped tight as you hesitantly take her hand to stand up, brushing loose stones from your legs.
"that's for me to know and you to keep a secret," yelan raises a brow as she watches the way you quickly nod, unsure if now is the time to fangirl over touching the hand of your idol bias, "think you can do that for me, angel?"
the pet name goes right to your heart, your heartrate quickening as you stare up at her with wide eyes. there's a sparkle in her eyes as she glances over your face, not missing the way your lips parted to respond yet no words ever came out. a small grin crosses her face before she hears a voice through her earpiece, turning her face away from you to listen to the intel.
"so?" she clears her throat to draw your attention to her - as if you'd ever give your attention to something other than her when you're this close to the woman you've heavily admired for years. you nod quickly, eyes drifting down to the unconscious men once more. yelan makes a noise as if she'd forgotten before she presses a fingertip to her earpiece, "i'm going to need backup on vasari passage, they didn't go down without a fight."
✉️ mail received! sender: eula
her fans always seem calm, it's apparent that they get it from her when the idol group is interviewed and eula's only responses come in the form of soft remarks, arms folded neatly. she rarely hides in the shadows compared to the likes of yelan and ei however the tabloids and paparazzi seem to lack any information on the short haired woman with dazzling locks and a knack for choreographing.
she's your idol bias - of course she would be and you've dreamed of this day but it's... not how you expected it to go.
one attachment added!
you just wanted to stargaze, you thought to yourself as you stand in fear on the roof of your apartment building, your eyes locked to the lithe body of a woman on the cement floor, her face pressed close to a sniper rifle. for a moment, you think that her hair is familiar but you shake your head, there'd been a rising hair trend in relation to the idol group ever since they debuted so you couldn't pinpoint it to eula at all.
you find yourself frozen on the spot - do you speak? it's probably not the best idea to disturb a sniper in any scenario, right? you turn on your heel before you hear the woman mutter something and when you glance in her direction, a pair of honey coloured eyes are piercing through you - albeit a lot softer than you thought a sniper would have.
"you shouldn't be here," she remarks a little coldly, raising herself to sit upright and that's when it hits you, it is eula, "the landlord restricted the roof."
"what the old lady doesn't know doesn't hurt her," you retort but there's a quiver in your voice at the mere concept that you was speaking to your idol bias, "this.. isn't how i thought i'd ever meet you.."
"ah," eula's eyes have definitely softened when you approach, her muscles tense when you settle yourself opposite her on the floor, "so you.. know me."
you nod in response, admiring the black bandana tied in her hair and the tactical gear she seemed to be sporting before your eyes fall to the sniper rifle once more. eula makes a noise, clearing her throat as she leans forward, putting the safety on the gun before she leans back again. you smile at the sentiment of the small action.
this interaction is exactly how you thought it would go, a quiet harmony of enjoying presences; except she was a presence you never thought you'd get to enjoy. in the midst of your silence, a gunshot echoes in the dark of the city's night, disturbing sleeping alley cats and most of all, eula.
the woman is quick to react, pushing you flat to the rooftop's floor as she leans over you, her arms either side of your head. for a moment, you both stare at each other in an awkward silence.
"are you okay? you wasn't hit?" you're not sure if the adrenaline is blurring out any wounds if you had any but you shake your head, letting out a shaking breath. eula exhales and suddenly you can smell the bubblegum she must have chewed before.
you feel the hard exterior of her bulletproof vest against your chest and the way her muscles flex ever so slightly when she's trying to respectfully keep herself from physically laying on you. there's a mumbling from her earpiece and you're silent, trying to pick apart words they're saying. it goes silent again.
eula doesn't move but neither do you, your faces inches away from each other as you both hold your breath. eula finds your somewhat lack of fear about the situation endearing but if she'd asked you, you would have replied with how safe you felt in her presence, knowing she's a trained sniper that you'd a hundred percent put your safety in the hands of.
a small smile cracks on eula's face as she moves off your body, clearing her throat as she peeks through the lens of her sniper, "do me a favour, you didn't see a thing here, sweetheart."

Better Late Than Never
Pairing: Beidou x Ningguang
Tags: Office Sex, Desk Sex, Vaginal Fingering, Oral Sex, Nipple Play, Dildos, Vibrators, Dom Beidou (Genshin Impact), Dirty Talk
Summary:
Beidou is late for a very important meeting, and it’s not the first time. Ningguang is less than pleased, but the captain has a new kind of “treasure” to assuage her anger.
Read on Ao3
Beidou bounded up the steps of Yuyan Temple toward an inquisitive-looking Bu’yun. He’d seen her exasperated like this only once or twice before and had a hunch as to what had her this worked up.
“Excuse…me…do you sell…the moon here?” Beidou said as fast as she could between ragged breaths. She was trying desperately to speed past the formalities of passwords - there simply wasn’t enough time.
“Ah, I see we’re running late for the meeting today, Captain Beidou,” he chuckled dryly.
She threw her bag onto the floating platform and clamored on. Can’t this thing move any quicker!? Beidou thought as she felt it rise to the Jade Chamber. If it weren’t for stopping to help that old man get up the steps to Feiyun Slope I would have been on time, damn it! Ning’s gotta understand…right?
As soon as her boots hit the stone pavement, she sprinted through the entrance doors and down the stairs towards the Tianquan’s office. She halted for a moment to collect herself, steady her breathing, and dust herself off before rounding the corner into the room.
She was met with the wide-eyed stares of Yelan, Yanfei, a few merchants, and an empty chair that was painfully obviously hers. Lady Ningguang sat at the head desk in front of them all.
Beidou nodded at everyone as they silently watched her approach. Throwing her bag next to Ningguang’s desk, she slid into the empty chair beside Yelan.
“You’re late,” Yelan hissed quietly. Beidou spared her a glance, but nothing more. You don’t think I know that, ya brown-nosing bit-
“Captain Beidou. How nice of you to finally decide to join us,” Ningguang sarcastically muttered as she narrowed her eyes. “I’m impressed you’re only a half hour late this time.”
Beidou swallowed heavily. “My sincerest apologies, Lady Tianquan. Something quite urgent came up on my way here,” she politely responded.
Clearing her throat, Ningguang continued conversing with each person in the room. She went over the merchants’ reports concerning what they had or hadn’t sold that month and how business was currently pacing compared to the previous year.
Moving on to Yanfei, they discussed the terms and conditions of a recently acquired contract and planned next steps after taking note of edits and signature requirements. Ningguang always kept things short with Yelan, as the nature of her work was highly confidential and they could only talk so much in the presence of current company.
Finally, Ningguang’s piercing scarlet eyes met Beidou’s own. Judging by the subtleties in her facial expressions Beidou had come to know intimately, she had no doubt she was in for it. Great. There’s no way this is going to end well, legitimate excuses be damned.
“Captain Beidou. I regret to inform you your goods and services have been lacking as of late.” Beidou immediately snapped to attention. If there was one thing she knew about Ningguang, it was that she liked to passively aggressively communicate in ways only the two of them would catch on to. This was her way of getting her riled up. She might as well have just come out and said, “You’ve been less than satisfactory in bed.”
“Excuse me, Lady Tianquan. I think you’re sorely mistaken. My goods and services are perfectly fine,” she snarled back. “Funny…you didn’t seem to have an issue with them at our last strategy meeting.”
What the hell are you talking about? I make sure your needs are met and then some. Or at least that’s what it sounds like when you’re screaming my name at the top of your lungs.
“Odd. According to my calculations, you haven’t met your usual quota this month.” Beidou blinked back, dumbfounded. She knew Ningguang was signaling she was upset at the fact she hadn’t been back from sea to visit her for about a month.
Beidou jolted up and slammed her hands on the desk. The other attendees could have sworn they felt an electric charge in the air. “Of course I haven’t provided any services this month! I’ve been working my ass off in Inazuma bolstering import relations for us. That takes time. Gathering material and building trust with the merchants there doesn’t happen overnight, my lady. The order was only just lifted to allow outsiders in. It’s been insanely chaotic with the ports finally open again. What else would you have me do?”
This isn’t just for Liyue, Ning. I’m always thinking of you, and what I’ve brought back from this recent trip is proof if you’d just wait a fucking second before biting my head off!!
The other attendees were deathly silent as the two hotly debated over Beidou’s lack of “delivery.” The tension in the room grew, but while those in the room might have believed it to be rage, Beidou and Ningguang perceived it for what it truly was: sexual tension. It was taking every ounce of self-control she could muster for Beidou to not launch herself across the room and stick her tongue down Ningguang’s throat in front of some of the most powerful people in Liyue.
“I do not wish to hear your excuses, Captain Beidou. It seems we have much to discuss, and I, unlike you, value people’s time.” Beidou sank back down in her seat trying to contain her emotions. “Thank you for your time today. Everyone except Captain Beidou is dismissed. I’d hate to have her bore you all with talk of logistics and sea shanties,” Ningguang mocked.
No one needed to be told twice. As they took their leave, Ningguang’s assistants quickly removed the additional desk and chairs that had been set up for the meeting and shut the door behind them.
Once the coast was clear, Beidou rushed over to Ningguang, her lips smashing against hers as she backed her into the remaining desk.
“Fuck, Ning, I’m sorry, ok? I missed you too. I didn’t mean for it to take so damn long, honest. Please don’t be mad at me,” Beidou pouted as she rested her forehead on Ningguang’s.
The Tianquan caressed her cheek before pulling her in for a firm hug. Their lips crashed together once more with desperation and need as Beidou ran her hands up and down Ningguang’s sides.
Before they could get too carried away, Beidou pulled back and picked up her bag to reveal the souvenir she had acquired while on duty. “I wasn’t kidding when I said I’d provide goods and services,” she joked as she wiggled her eyebrows. “I grabbed something for us to try.” She opened the bag and pulled out a double-ended dildo with vibration capabilities.
“Beidou!” Ningguang swatted her shoulder. “You did not! What if one of my security guards had decided to check your bag?” Her shock didn’t stop her from inspecting the new toy.
“What? Don’t like it? I thought we could try a new ‘good’ and see if it enhances my ‘services’,” Beidou cheekily responded.
Ningguang looked at her coyly but was clearly eager. “You know what? Let’s give it a try.”
Pleased with her answer, Beidou grabbed Ningguang by the waist and hoisted her up onto the desk with an enthusiastic growl. As their tongues dueled, Beidou sent the neatly stacked scrolls, books, scale, and teapot clattering to the floor with a swipe of her arm.
Beidou’s tongue traveled down Ningguang’s neck as she leaned into her further to unhook the clasp holding her dress snug to her body. Ningguang pushed her back and helped her do the same. Now skin against skin, the two reveled in the feeling. As Beidou sought her lover’s lips once more, Ningguang placed her finger to her mouth and said, “Before we get to the main event, why don’t we have a little fun, hmm?”
Beidou smirked. A little fun? I’ll give you a little fun. Having known her for years, she didn’t even have to ask what she meant by this. Although Ningguang was a powerful woman who enjoyed being in control of a situation, when it came to sex all she wanted was for someone else to take the reins and prove she didn’t always have to be the strongest one in a room.
Beidou wrapped a firm arm around her waist and yanked her back off the desk. As soon as her feet touched the floor, she let out a yelp of surprise as Beidou spun her around ferociously so her back was flush against her chest. Ningguang gripped the edge of the desk for support knowing what was to come.
“Don’t think I didn’t know what you were insinuating earlier. You love sitting behind that desk and the thrill of knowing others will follow your orders without question, but I know what you really want,” Beidou snarled as she kicked Ningguang’s legs open wider, exposing her to the chill of the room. Beidou smirked as she felt her squirm underneath her.
“You want someone to challenge you. Just like a chess match, a game of wits is no fun against a weaker opponent,” she leaned forward and sunk her teeth into the base of where her neck met her shoulder.
“Gah! Beidou…please…”
“Look at you. What would the people who were at that meeting think if they saw you like this? Hmm? Maybe next time I should run the meeting instead while I make you service me under your desk, huh?”
Ningguang let out a moan so loud Beidou actually worried one of her assistants might come in to check on them.
“OH! You dirty little whore…you would get off on that,” she said as she twisted her hair around her fist. Ningguang could feel Beidou moving her other hand where she needed it most.
“Beidou…I swear to the archons if you don’t fuck me right now…”
Beidou yanked backward, eliciting a groan from the Tianquan. “Is that any way to talk to your captain? I’ll fuck you when I want, however hard I want.” Ningguang was already so wet that her middle finger glided into her entrance from behind with ease. As she added another finger, Ningguang tried to thrust back onto her.
“Ah! What did I just say? I’m in control here, babe. Stay still or I’ll stop.” Ningguang let out an exasperated sigh as she gripped the desk harder. “That’s a good girl. Now, let’s see how good you take these fingers for me.”
She resumed her movement, thrusting at a slow yet steady pace. “Now, if you come before I say you can, then you can forget about us using that toy together. I’ll fuck myself with it and make you watch.” Her fingers plunged deeper, faster.
“Beidou…I’m begging yo-ughhhhh fuckkkkk,” Ningguang’s pleading was interrupted by the sudden feeling of Beidou’s thumb sliding into her ass.
“I never get tired of hearing you beg for it. You’re lucky I’m merciful and not making you work harder for it. Fine. You can come.” As if on cue, Beidou felt Ningguang contract around her fingers and leaned forward to make sure she’d catch her if her knees gave out.
Ningguang took a moment to steady her breathing before pulling Beidou into a deep kiss. Pushing away from the table, she led her captain to the large chair that sat behind her desk. Between passionate kisses, Ningguang firmly placed both of her hands on Beidou’s bare chest and pushed her forcefully backward into the seat.
“Woah!” Beidou yelled at the unexpected move.
“What’s that vulgar saying I’ve heard come out of that disgusting pirate mouth of yours? Ah, yes. ‘Payback’s a bitch.’ Since you took your sweet time getting here today, I’m going to make you work for it a bit,” Ningguang hummed as she placed her foot on the arm of the chair.
“I told you...I…um…I…” Beidou couldn’t find the words she was searching for as she sat wide-eyed, face-to-face with Ningguang’s drenched entrance.
“Now, why don’t you be a good subordinate and clean me up with that quick-witted tongue of yours?” Her words lit a fire in her. Beidou leisurely kissed up her leg, nipping and sucking on the fleshy part of her inner thigh. As she lapped up the residual left from her handiwork, Ningguang moaned, sensitive from finishing once already.
Before she got too far, Ningguang grabbed Beidou by the back of her hair, pulling her away from her and against the chair. Moving in closer, she tasted her own sweet nectar on her lover’s lips. Her mouth made its way across her body and down to Beidou’s lap.
“You did say you wanted me to service you under this table earlier, did you not?” Ningguang coyly asked.
“It-it was a joke,” Beidou awkwardly chuckled.
Ningguang lowered herself to her knees, slowly opened Beidou’s legs, and pulled her closer to the chair’s edge. Holding onto Beidou’s thighs, Ningguang plunged forward, sliding her tongue across her folds.
“UGH! Ning!” Beidou shouted as her head sunk into the back of the chair.
Ningguang continued before sliding her tongue into her. Throwing her hands above her head, Beidou held onto the top of the chair as her hips began to buck with Ningguang’s movements. She continued her thrusts until Beidou shuttered around her, the delicacy that was her captain coating her tongue.
Rising to her feet, Beidou lifted Ningguang with her and latched onto her neck. She started with gentle kisses and transitioned to leaving faint marks across her pale skin in spots she knew would be covered by her usual attire. Hoisting Ningguang back onto the table, Beidou grabbed the new toy and settled between her legs.
She inserted one side into herself and shuttered as her body adjusted to the new sensation. Searching her lover’s face for any sign she wanted to stop, she asked, “Are you ready for this?” Ningguang didn’t need words. She leaned up and kissed her, giving her the answer she needed. Beidou eased the tip into her entrance, sliding deeper as the Tianquan’s body allowed.
“Ohhhhhh Beidouuuuu,” Ningguang moaned, her eyes rolling back in her head.
With a few test thrusts and approving moans from the woman underneath her, she slowly found her pace. Taking both of Ningguang’s hands in one of her own, she pinned them to the table above her head. Beidou leaned in, Ningguang’s moans muffled by her mouth taking hers. With her free hand, Beidou massaged one breast and flicked her tongue on the nipple of the other. Her thrusts came faster, more erratic. Having found their rhythm, Beidou switched on the vibration function.
“Ah!! Beidou!” Ningguang screamed in surprise at the new sensation.
“Sorry…should have…warned you,” Beidou responded between thrusts.
She turned her attention back to Ningguang’s breasts, sucking and pinching her nipples. With the feeling of the strong vibration and Beidou’s thrusting, it didn’t take long before Ningguang felt her build-up approaching quickly.
“Bei…close,” Ningguang gasped.
Beidou’s hips slammed into her, her moans adding to the sensation on Ningguang’s nipple still in her mouth. Ningguang’s back arched off the table, pressing the length of the toy further inside her.
“Come with me, Ning,” Beidou breathlessly moaned as she moved her hand to massage her clit.
Ningguang grabbed Beidou’s face, bringing it even with her own, and slid her tongue into her mouth. Trying to silence their pleasured moans as best as they could, the two cried out in unison as they reached their climax together.
Ningguang’s legs shook as her body arched into Beidou’s, and the larger woman collapsed on top of her utterly spent. The two women smiled at each other, the tension of the day now completely melted away until…
*click*
The captain and the Tianquan froze in horrified silence.
“Beidou! Did you forget to lock the fucking door!?” Ningguang whispered harshly.
“Son of a bitch! I was too caught up in the moment!” Beidou hissed back.
Yanfei’s gentle voice chimed through the room as she swiftly entered. “Lady Ningguang, I’m so sorry! I completely forgot I had a question on section three, article two…OH MY ARCHONS! I’M SO SORRY! I’LL COME BACK LATER! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY!”

just one (hold your breath)
[AO3] T, 1.4k words. no warnings apply.
Ningguang/Yelan — An exchange of intelligence between the Tianquan and her topmost spy.
tags: #tension and wanting and the useless repression of desire, #you know the usual poppy fic themes
A knock at the door. “Lady Ningguang.” It’s Baixiao. “A Miss Yelan here to see you.”
Ningguang’s eyes flick up from the report she’s studying, but her expression is passive otherwise. “Enter.”
There’s a murmuring outside the door, and then it opens with grace, the sharp clicking of Yelan’s heels heralding her entrance.
“Miss Yelan.”
Yelan’s smile is oh-so-sly. “Lady Ningguang.”
Behind her, Baixiao has closed the door, but Ningguang maintains her studied indifference for a moment more. Cooly, she says, “What can I do for you?”
“Many, many things.” Yelan’s eyes glitter with amusement. “Although the first would be to properly introduce me to your staff. It is quite humiliating to have to remind them of my name each time.”
Ningguang snorts, abandoning her aloofness at last. “And how are they to remember your name when you, more likely than not, come dressed as a completely different person?”
“It only says something about the incapability of your little ducklings.” Yelan sniffs. “And anyways I own Yanshang Teahouse now. You’d think they’d know me at least.”
“Don’t sulk. And don’t lie either—I know you like the anonymity.”
Yelan rolls her eyes. “Yes, my lady.”
“What do you have for me today, Yelan?”
Yelan grins. “Guess.”
Ningguang sets her papers down and raises an imperious eyebrow.
“...or not,” Yelan mutters. “Fine. Be that way.”
From seemingly nowhere, Yelan produces a narrow sheaf of little slips and hands them over to Ningguang. Ningguang’s gold-wrought nail guards graze Yelan’s fingertips when she grasps for the papers, and Ningguang carefully ignores the shiver that runs through Yelan at the touch.
“Hmm.” Ningguang flips through the crude notes, graciously allowing Yelan time to recompose herself. There is no place for this in the great endeavor of ruling Liyue. “So you did manage to get your hands on proof of Snezhnayan collusion. All signed with their own seals as well. Impressive.”
Ningguang won’t ask how Yelan procured both the documents and the seals. For her peace of mind, and most importantly, for plausible deniability.
Yelan’s smile has returned to its fullest extent of cat-that-ate-the-canary. “Yes. We’ve long suspected that Kandinsky Holdings had a hand in Lu Xiang’s abrupt market domination, and I finally have our evidence. If you give me a little more time, I can make a quick trip to Snezhnaya and dig deeper for ties to the Fatui.”
Ningguang sets the papers down with more force than necessary. Her nails are gouging little indents in the parchment. “I don’t think that’s wise.”
Yelan only laughs. “Relax, sunlight. The Ninth couldn’t even begin to handle me.”
“I am certainly not worried,” Ningguang starts, but Yelan’s already waved her off.
“Your eyes are tight, your jaw is clenched, I could go on—although honestly, I’d rather not tell you more. I like being able to read you so easily.” Yelan rounds her desk, leans her hip against the heavy cuihua edge. “So what will it be? Do I have your authorization or what?”
Ningguang cuts her a look of barely withheld displeasure. “You are well aware that there are official channels for this, yes?”
Yelan huffs. “Oh, please. Since when did we work that way?”
“I just don’t like,” Ningguang says, “you spending so much time in the territory of the enemy. With the enemy. And not one who’s managed to get his hands on your other jade bracelet.”
“Ha.” The smile Yelan gives her is bittersweet. “Well. The things we all sacrifice for this country.”
Some more than most, Ningguang does not say. But she does allow herself to steal a glance at the little copper mirror perched atop her desk, silently mapping out the face that follows her in waking and in sleeping. The copper overlays everything with a gold-brown sheen, but Ningguang can still discern the newly-acquired coat that hangs like mountain snow on Yelan’s shoulders, and the midnight hair that remains resolutely asymmetrical. Yelan brute-forces her way into being fashionable, and she has never ceased to pull it off.
Ningguang blinks, and quite suddenly Yelan is looking back at her through the mirror. No beaten copper surface can stifle those eyes of narrowed, burning jade.
“You know,” Yelan says abruptly, “I never did get back to you about my extra compensation. Hazard pay and all that.”
“You are already paid far higher than the majority of my employees.”
“I am, yes.” Yelan lets a beat of silence pass. Then: “But I’m not after monetary gain.”
Ningguang cannot tear her eyes away from Yelan’s in the mirror. It’s as if she’s being kept in place by some black spell. “Oh?”
“Mm.” Yelan’s hand slides over the low back of her wooden chair, and the shift in position lets her lean closer over Ningguang, whisper into her ear. “There are other ways to reimburse me.”
“Hm,” Ningguang says. “Really.”
“Of course.” Yelan’s fingers touch her chin, tilt Ningguang’s head so that her gaze meets Yelan’s. “You need only ask, my lady.”
“Ask,” Ningguang scoffed. “Me? Ask?”
Yelan shrugged. “I had to at least try.”
“Don’t.”
Yelan smiles, and uses the very tip of her thumb to draw Ningguang’s lower lip down. “We’ll see about that.”
“Nothing of worth will come from this.” Ningguang’s voice is hoarse with all that she denies herself. “You do know this, yes?”
Because Ningguang knows: This way lies only ruin. Ruin upon ruin upon ruin, and the shivering abyss of all that’s been left unsaid between them.
“I do know.” Yelan’s so close that Ningguang can count her lashes. “The difference, Lady Ningguang, is that I am willing to pay the price. Are you?”
Yes, she thinks. “No,” she says.
Yelan lets out a not-quite sigh, hot breath puffing against her lips. “I don’t know what I expected,” she murmurs, almost to herself.
“It’s for your own good.” And mine. But Ningguang has not made any move away. “I have learned that it is best to keep my subordinates at arm’s length.”
“I do think that this is much less than arm’s length, sunlight.”
Ningguang chooses to ignore this, instead focusing on not feeling the rasp of Yelan’s callused thumb brushing her cheek. “Are we finished?”
“Almost.”
“What else is there to—”
Yelan kisses her, hard and fast against the corner of her mouth, and just as quickly retreats backward, wiping at the purple lipstick that’s been smudged out of her lips with the force of the kiss.
“That,” Yelan says. “I’ll consider my hazard pay taken care of.”
Ningguang blinks. Unknowing, her hand has come up to touch her lips. “You...”
“Sorry. It was inappropriate, I know. I won’t do it again.”
Ningguang’s composure almost cracks. That is the exact opposite of what her blood sings for.
“I’ll... I should take my leave now, I suppose.”
“Do that,” Ningguang says numbly. Her mouth still stings with the almost-kiss, prickling with the knowledge that it had been so close.
Yelan hesitates by the door, and Ningguang can tell she doesn’t want to go—this people reading goes both ways, and Yelan’s shoulders are taut, her hand tentative against the door, her eyes begging to be told to stay. “Is there anything else?”
Ningguang should say no. She should turn away, and forget this ever happened.
But—
But she is weakened, her defenses dashed to pieces by Yelan’s surprise kiss. And though she will never beg, this may be the closest she’ll ever come to considering it.
So Ningguang says, throat dry: “There is still the matter of procuring your authorization.”
“Oh,” Yelan says. She looks caught off-guard. As if she didn’t really expect Ningguang to actually say something. “Oh, yes, of course.”
“I have made it clear what I think of the Fatui, and of you involving yourself in their affairs.” Ningguang’s eyes lock onto Yelan’s, and she watches Yelan swallow, the movement of her throat. “I will not be so easily persuaded on this matter. But—”
Hear what I cannot say, Ningguang thinks. Speak what I cannot speak.
For a long, taut moment of silence, Yelan only searches her face, almost desperate. But then at last she must find what she seeks, for her face clears.
Yelan smiles, too bright to be truly wicked.
“Between you and me, sunlight, I’m not above a little bit of bribery and corruption either.”
She stalks over, and Ningguang lets Yelan seize her face to kiss.

Wtf?!? That yelan bit…. My emotions are 🥲🥲😭. It was so bittersweet that my heart has pain now. Beautifully written. Please excuse me as I cry over yelan for a good while
(Have a good day!)
hello !! aaa i’m so glad u liked the yelan piece, i’ve had it marinating in my brain for a while now (since the ningguang piece lol). i tried my best to make the buildup subtle by using tenses (scenes with reader are only in past tense) and some foreshadowing that would only make sense if you’ve read yelan’s lore (presence of 2 bracelets. yelan loses the other bracelet to pantalone iirc during her tenure as ningguang’s agent, after the deaths of her team and in this fic, you). another little tidbit i slid in there are the white chrysanthemums, which according to google symbolise death or departure in select asian cultures. there was also the scene with the florist which sort of set the stage for an “everything is not as it seems” moment as well. tldr all the little details made it super fun to write and i’m so glad it managed to make you feel something !!! that’s my ultimate goal as a writer :) thanks for reading !!!

Day 17 - Raspberries
✮⋆˙ TKTober Day 17 - Raspberries
✮⋆˙ Tags: Yelan/Yanfei (Established relationship), bullying your gf cutely, tummy, raspberries, fluff!
“I love your stomach window.”
“Hm?”
Yelan turns to Yanfei with a raised brow, the fabric of her tunic stretching as she does. The thin black fabric over her stomach creases and straightens, subtly shiny under the sun, and Yanfei sighs. “It’s so sexy when you stretch like that.”
“That’s the point.”
“I love your uniform. I love your job. I love you. Can you hire me?”
Yelan snorts, coming around the breakfast table. She plucks the half-drunken cup of black tea from Yanfei’s hands with ease. “Teyvat to Yanfei—are you awake yet? I told you to get some sleep last night.”
Archons, she knows. It’s not that Yanfei doesn’t want to sleep but rather that she literally can’t these days: after accepting a domestic case that appeared absurdly simple for the client’s proposed payment, she found herself unfolding Pandora’s box. Both sides of the divorce case wanted to claim ownership of an old property they’d inherited from the wife’s side but only after extensive research in the Qixing’s folders had they discovered the house was built on Adepti reserved non-residential land. Then, to add to the complexity, it was never officially claimed by said Adepti, so right now the entire case (and her paycheck!) is on hold until they can determine who it belongs to, if it legally can be claimed by any party.
A nightmare. An honest and true nightmare made worse by the fact that they can’t make any breakthroughs until the Qixing return with official word from the adepti (apparently Yanfei doesn’t count due to conflict of interest) so she was going to get some actual shut eye yesterday, only to get jump scared by her girlfriend sliding in from the bedroom window and occupying her all night instead.
Hey, wait a second.
“You’re the reason I didn’t get any!”
Yelan whistles. Yanfei groans, face falling between her arms on the table. She’s so tired.
“Please tell me the qixing has responded.”
“You’d be the first to know if they did.” Another groan. Her only solace is Yelan’s hand ruffling her hair, stroking the area she likes between her horns before drifting down to pat her back. “Hey, up. It’s breakfast time.”
“Not hungry.”
“Aw, poor baby.” Yelan’s voice is teasing, near. Her arms encircle Yanfei in a half-hug, tugging. “Come on, up. Eat.”
“Don’t wanna.”
“Yeah?”
“Mm.”
“You sure?”
Yanfei yelps as the hands around her waist pinch her without warning, eyes shooting open in alert as sleep leaves her at once. Yelan’s lips meet her ear, the sound of her kiss loud before she purrs. “Because if you don’t eat, you’ll starve. And if you starve, your sexy tummy I love is going to disappear.”
“Hehehey! Yelahahan, stop!”
“Don’t wanna,” Yelan mocks. Yanfei gasps, scrunching up her shoulders as Yelan traps her against the table, tapping along her sides. It’s overwhelming, the feeling of her hands on her scales, oversensitive and exposed under Yelan’s knowing fingers. Her knees jump and bang against it, causing the cutlery to jitter, when Yelan’s nails scratch her hips. “Careful, babe. Don’t want to spill the breakfast I worked so hard on.”
She squeaks as Yanfei’s hands spider up to her underarms before diving further low, sliding under her skirt and scratching her thighs. It’s terrible, maddening, made worse so by the memory of Yelan doing the exact same thing yesterday with very, very different intentions. Yanfei squirms, legs kicking in protest, but Yelan’s weight keeps her rooted to the chair. “AHAHALL YOU DID WHAHAS BUY YOUTIAO!”
“Mm, from your favorite vendor.”
“Leheheht gohoaha—wAH!”
She’d call her the worst if it wasn’t for the shriek she emits as Yanfei’s hands hook under her thighs and pulls her straight out of the seat; her head swings back only to be caught by a gentle hand before she hits the table. Yanfei pants, hair splayed around the countertop, eyes stuck on her ceiling (did she always have that crack there? Was that water damage?) before looking down to Yelan hovering above her hips. She shivers, scotting away, but Yelan’s hands rooted to her hips keeps her from absconding.
“Hehehe… come on,” Yanfei bargains, swallowing as Yelan’s nails tap on her stomach. “Let’s have the youtiao before it gets cold.”
“You can heat it back up again, can’t you?” Yelan coos, nuzzling her stomach. Her blue hair drags along the surface as she moves, spiraling the scales along Yanfei’s ribs and she giggles. “I just want to have a quick snack first.”
“S-snack? No, YelAHAHAHAHAN PLEAHAHAHASE!”
Her horns do bang against the table, the sound loud but no louder than the screech of her laughter as Yelan holds her down, lips vibrating as she blows raspberry after raspberry against her navel. Yanfei shouts, squirming, screaming, her legs kicking wildly in the air as incoherent pleas escape her with every shockwave running through her body, but the mischief glistening in Yelan’s eyes promises no quarter. It tickles so much, a vibration down to her core, and when she tries to beg for a break it dissipates into wild giggles until—
Clang!
Yanfei gasps, jolting, as Yelan’s body flanks her entirely. She’s flush between her body and the table, shivering with residual giggles, as Yelan’s shoulders blanket both sides of her head. A moment passes, then another, and it’s only when it’s clear that no intruder is in the house that Yelan relents with a sigh and pecks her cheek.
“You okay?”
“Yehehe,” she chuckles, leaning up and kissing Yelan on the lips. Her girlfriend smiles into it, the slant of her lips inviting, and she kisses her again. “What was that?”
Yelan snorts. “See for yourself.”
That’s never good. Yelan climbs off her with an outstretched hand before hauling Yanfei upwards against her chest. She points to a metal bowl on the floor, bag of youtiao fallen out of it, and teases. “You knocked that off with your squirming.”
Oops. Did she? Yanfei flushes, trying to picture herself laughing on the table, desperate to escape Yelan’s evil tickly mouth. Yeah, okay, she probably did it. Wait. “Hey! Who’s the reason for my squirming, hm?”
“Guilty as charged,” Yelan says. She bends down to deliver another kiss to Yanfei’s temple, then once more on her horn. Yanfei shifts, pleased, when Yelan pulls her up and delivers another on her lips. If this was the reward for catching guilty criminals, Yanfei would never retire. “Come on, I want breakfast. Someone kept me up all night and now I’m starving.”
Yanfei’s eyes narrow. “What happened to your snack?”
“Wasn’t enough,” Yelan says. “Unless it wants some more?”
She squeaks, ducking away to grab the metal bowl. “Nope! Get the soymilk, will you?”
Yelan’s chuckle echoes in the room, fond, as her hand graces Yanfei’s horns with a gentle tap. Pyro gathers along her fingers and it’s only a minute until the youtiao are crispy once more; she sets them on the table, rearranging the chairs, only to pause at the sound of a hum. She looks up, staring now, as Yelan traverses her kitchen with ease: she could arrange it with her eyes closed by now, familiar, the pop of her cabinets opening matched with the clatter of cups and cutlery, glass seasoning boxes and bamboo mats. Yelan’s hum is low, comfortable, and as she gets on her tip toes to reach the top shelf, her tunic flutters over her stomach.
Yanfei sighs.
“I love your stomach window.”
Yelan laughs. The soymilk spills slightly over the glass cup, and she cleans it with a smile. “I love yours too.”

໒⦂ 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄.
synopsis. it's past closing hours and you find yourself at yanshang teahouse, tipsy and deeply engaged in a game of strip tcg with the owner, yelan.
genre. smut + mild hurt / comfort
tw. nsfw content, alcohol consumption, gambling, stripping, very slight bondage, thigh riding, dom!yelan, fingering, use of 'pretty girl'
disclaimer. uncomfortable with smut or younger than 17? please dni.
yelan x fem!reader.
the blood rushed to your cheeks as you placed your glass of wine down, heaving a soft breath before wiping your lips.
you'd long since lost track of how many rounds deep both you and yelan had been in of the notorious tcg genius invocation. but with a rather.. questionable.. twist. an idea suggested by yelan that you carelessly agreed to if it meant forgetting your worries.
what once was a blossoming relationship between yourself and the enigma, regrator, had ended with a letter sent to your private address through one of his subordinates, declaring that it was off.
isolated at home, you wondered yourself where it all went wrong and what led him go suddenly breaking the relationship off. sure it had been long distance and secret for the most part, given the status he had briefly spoken to you about — but it still hurt. it hurt not knowing what caused him to change his mind about you, and to be left with some pathetic letter that hardly conveyed anything.
so you winded up at the yanshang teahouse, accompanied by yelan who had just gotten off work to 'give you a good time'. something to help rid your mind of the lingering pain left behind by pantalone — not that you told her who he was. but yelan knew, she always knew.
though when she mentioned a good time, this was the last thing you expected.
"down to one card again, y/n. ready to call it quits? you're down to a pair of stockings, panties and a bralette.. there's not much left to lose." the hydro user spoke, twirling her own glass of wine between her fingers. "what will it be, then?"
like you, yelan's cheeks had flushed from the alcohol, as she didn't want you to be the only one drinking. though the only difference had been that yelan could hold her liquor, while you on the other hand, could not.
"if i forfeit i'll have to remove something regardless, yelan-san. i might as well try to win another round.. or are you simply in a rush to see me remove another article of clothing?" you quipped, a sultry-like smile on your lips, similarly to the ones she gave you all the time.
luckily yelan, with her many connections, had managed to reserve the teahouse for just the two of you ( otherwise you probably wouldn't be involved in such an activity ). how she did it would forever be a mystery given her never ending network of information, but it was appreciated. precisely what you needed.
and who better than the very person who dresses for revenge, adorning herself in the albino fur coat that she'd stolen and tailored. as payback for the disappearance of her second bracelet. ironically from the man you once loved.
a soft hum had left the archer's lips, followed by a low chuckle. "i suppose you're right, it'd be less fun if you gave up on me, anyway.. but i'm rather impatient." she admitted, resting her hand on her cheek. "and you just look so cute with that defeated pout on your lips, i'm just so eager to see it again.. should i really be blamed for thinking such?"
as you selected your ending move, a chill ran down your spine at her words which drew your attention away from your limited deck to raise a brow. "truly?" you wondered aloud, fiddling with your card of choice before loosing a laugh in response to her own. "i didn't paint myself to be the cute type, but i believe this round is mine, yelan-san."
and just like that, you flipped the rectangular piece to its back with a soft click from your nail, ultimately ending the turn.
yelan was stunned to say the least, surprise flashing in her aquamarine orbs for a brief second before they returned to their normal state. perhaps a habit of keeping one's composure regardless of the context. as expected of the valley orchid.
"seems it is." the woman acknowledged, raising her hands for a slow clap. "nicely done, y/n-chan.. though it does give off that vibe that someone was more zealous than i, for a peek." she smirked, placing the flat of her palms on the table as she rose from her seat.
confusion painted your features, wondering if your victory had struck something in her. maybe yelan wasn't one for losing, but that final commented suggested otherwise.
"a peek of what?" you asked her softly, feigning innocence. of course you had known what she meant, you weren't oblivious. but it made things all the more enticing. "you'll have to show me, yelan-san.. i won't know otherwise."
yelan caught on with ease, as her observatory skills were unmatched to many of teyvat. you weren't fooling anyone, and certainly not her. though if you wished to take part in such a game, then what choice was she left with?
"i suppose it'll be my job to educate you, but do keep in mind this is classified.." she trailed off, fading with her words before appearing by your ear. so closely that her lips nearly brushed over the cartilage. "meaning i'd have to take your very life, should you open that pretty little mouth of yours and ramble of what you saw here tonight."
the beat of your heart thundered so loudly, you were almost sure the intelligence agent could hear the way it hammered against your chest as the warmth clung to your cheeks.
never had you pictured the woman beside you as anything more than your closest friend and ally. but something about her tonight felt.. different.
you told yourself it was surely the wine, as you weren't one to drink very often — or at least as many of the glasses you'd drained tonight.
but as the hydro wielder leaned in closer, you found difficultly in blaming the wine entirely as you craned your neck to the left, releasing a soft breath. "what if i didn't want to reveal that information and preferred to harbor it wholly for myself..?" you finally asked, closing your eyes. "had you considered that?" you asked again when her lips peppered down to the curve of your shoulder, only for them to suddenly cease.
"for yourself?" yelan repeated, lips hovering by your ear. "mm, what a greedy little thing you are, y/n-chan." she chuckled, turning your chin to look up at her as she spun your seat with her heel. "but i suppose it's no difficult feat in fulfilling that measly request of yours. watch closely."
with a wink, the navy haired archer grasped the ends of her azure top she wore, edging it slowly. the piece fit her upper half like a glove, accentuating her curves almost perfectly — fit for mobility, but not as swift to remove. though yelan was in no rush, not at all.
you on the other hand..
that burning sensation on your cheeks only increased tenfold as you got a glimpse of her milky abdomen, once replaced by mesh and leathers. part of you wanted to look away, for the sight had been flustering — and staring was often considered impolite.. but you were instructed otherwise, and that was enough to keep you obedient. even if the sight was.. torturous.
finally the wait was over and she'd removed the piece, leaving her in a black strapless bra that was often visible underneath her clothing, and a pair of leggings. still relatively covered, though something told you it wouldn't remain that way for much longer.
yelan hummed as she drew closer to you, taking your cheek in her hand once more. "what's the matter, too much? i wonder where all that confidence went off to." she drawled out softly, shifting closer as she took your right hand in hers, pinning it against the thistle colored table. "you just seemed so needy earlier.. should i sto-"
"no!" you blurted out a little louder than anticipated, cutting her off unintentionally. but she took no offense, waiting patiently for you to continue.
"it's not.. too much. i can handle it — i want it.." you tried clarifying, clearing your throat as you willed your eyes to meet her own.
archons, they were so striking, so much that you nearly found yourself freezing up again. but luckily, you had mustered the courage to say the words that had been meaning to come out since the start of your evening together.
"i want you, yelan-san."
at last, there were the words the intelligence agent had been waiting to hear, as a honeyed smile crawled to her lips. "do you now?" she asked, sliding her hand from your cheek to pin your other hand above your head. "how badly? i won't know what you want of me precisely, if you don't tell me, y/n."
despite the warm temperature of liyue harbor, as it was mostly made up of a savannah and oceanic climate, chills ran down your spine, each one colder than the following.
swallowing thickly, you parted your lips, staring up at her pleadingly, desperately. "i need you more than the air i breathe." you whispered, shifting underneath her weight. "rid me of everything left behind by him.. every touch, gesture, word — everything that he was."
yelan didn't need any explanation for who 'he' was as she nodded, lowering herself till her lips were a breath away from yours. "then i'll erase his entire existence from your memories." was her only reply before pressing a chaste kiss to your soft appendages — gentle and sweet. a stark contrast to allure she'd radiated- the temptation she made you feel.
but it wasn't long before that kiss deepened, a moan spilling from your lips when her body had pressed down on your own. the sheer feel of her so heavenly, it almost felt sinful to have her like this. pinning you down with her body to a tcg table and near breathless from her kisses.
the bracelet on her left wrist glowed with power as she tied your hands in place, trailing her lips down the column of your neck. and it continued just like that. kiss after kiss, mark after mark. you were her canvas to paint a new, replacing the dulled and faded colors with blues of every shade; orchids of new beginnings, beauty, strength and luxury. to value yourself for everything that you are, and everything that you mean to the valley orchid herself.
parting for air, yelan took this as an opportunity to remove her leggings, seating herself on the stool you once occupied as she patted her right thigh. an invitation.
having recovered your breath, you pushed yourself up, hands still bound together as you took the place she offered. although there had been one remaining layer of fabric separating you from direct contact, you couldn't help the shaky sigh that left your lips as her leg bounced. a test.
the glow faded on her bracelet, releasing your hands for you to wrap your arms around her to close to the gap that remained between you both.
yelan kept your hips in place, humming softly. "what a needy thing, you are." she whispered into your ear, tracing shapes on your waist. "how does my pretty girl want it?"
all the words you willed yourself to say only fell into incoherent slurs and whimpers as you dropped your head on her shoulder, mumbling for her to choose.
normally yelan would have edged you to give her a clear answer, but tonight was different. she was willing to be lenient, and gentle with that fragile heart of yours.
so she nodded, bringing your hips forward as she bounced her leg a bit, slowly building up momentum.
a sharp exhale escaped your wine-kissed appendages as you clung to the cerulean eyed woman, shivering at the impact. it was certain that you had been sensitive.. but not this much. you were almost sure of your climax being on the way, much faster than anticipated. though you didn't care, neither did yelan.
as she kept lifting and lowering her thigh against your clothed clit, feeling how close you were, the short haired woman dipped two fingers into your undergarments, as a test. when you made no move or word of protest, yelan took it as consent and rolled them up and down your slicked petals.
her ministrations left your stomach in knots as you whined out for her to go deeper, wanting to feel her fingers slide in and out of you. any means to draw out that orgasm you've been holding onto.
and she did. she devoured your moans in another heated kiss as her fingers delved into your aching core, hitting the spot perfectly. exactly the way you wanted her to as her thigh finally slowed at the rush of your release.
the tension in your body almost left you completely as your lips broke from yelan's for breath. even if you wished you hadn't, unfortunately you did have to breathe..
shortly after, you lowered your head to rest it on her chest, panting softly. "can we stay like this.. just for a bit." a quiet plea to say you didn't want her to leave just yet, not like he did.
gently, yelan licked her fingers clean before petting your hair softly, in understanding. she knew your reasoning, and wished to stay, too. "already a step ahead of you, pretty girl."

Chapter 1: A New Assignment
In the middle of a lake on Mt. Aocang, there existed a small patch of land where an orange-leaved tree sat swaying in the breeze. Underneath the shade of its branches, the Tianquan of Liyue and the Captain of the Crux sat at an ancient stone table sipping tea. A white crane, otherwise known as Cloud Retainer, perched herself across from them, taking time to properly formulate the words with which she was about to make her request.
“Thank you for meeting with one today, Lady Ningguang, Captain Beidou. One knows you are both very busy women,” she began.
“Think nothing of it, Cloud Retainer. However, I must admit we were quite surprised to receive an invitation from you,” Ningguang responded before raising the teacup back to her lips as she cast a warning glare at Beidou. The not-so-subtle signal reminded her she was in the presence of an adeptus and needed to act as such.
“Oh! Right! Yeah, um, thank you for the invite, Ms. Cloud Retainer. Beautiful place ya got here,” Beidou followed up sheepishly. She could hear a soft sigh come from Ningguang’s direction.
“There’s no use in one wasting time with small talk. One will get straight to the point. As you both know, one’s Shenhe assisted you both in defeating Beisht.” Cloud Retainer paused to look at the two ladies across from her as they nodded in remembrance. “That being the case, one has a request to make of you. One needs your aid in helping her make a more…seamless transition into the mortal world. She is strong - frighteningly so. One can only teach her so much when it comes to controlling her powers.”
The women sat quietly for a moment taking in the adeptus’ request. Ningguang was the first to answer. “It would only be right for us to repay her kindness in turn. I’m sure I can arrange to have her train under the best, and in private as well. I understand she’s still getting used to being around people in general, so I assume that would help?”
Beidou sat in silence as they had agreed to before the meeting. Ningguang was in charge of discussing the details - the captain’s role would come later. Truth be told, both of them had wanted to help Shenhe integrate into Liyue society and already had a plan in place…even if those who were a part of it didn’t know it yet.
“Beidou…I think we have the perfect person who can help train her in mind, do we not?”
“Hmm? Oh! Yeah, I think Yelan would be the best option for this job,” Beidou chimed in.
Cloud Retainer tilted her head in contemplation. “Oh, yes. Yelan. One has heard of her and her familial ancestry. One does believe she would be a good selection.” Nodding in approval, she continued, “When preparations are ready, send notice, and one will bring Shenhe your way. One must inform the girl first.”
“Allow us a few days to get the accommodations set. If they are to develop a bond of trust and mutual respect, we figure it best to have them spend as much time together as possible. They will live and train together until further notice,” Ningguang explained as she rose to her feet and bowed to the adeptus before taking her leave.
Beidou hurried to do the same, then jogged to catch up to her. “Hey! What’s with the mad dash? Also…how are we going to get Yelan to agree to this?” she asked once they were out of earshot.
“I could sense she wanted us to leave as soon as possible. She isn’t one to keep company for very long. As for Yelan…I have my ways, dear. Don’t fret,” Ningguang answered with a smirk. She took Beidou’s hand in hers and the two made their way down the mountain back toward the city.
Days later, Beidou and Ningguang walked through the city with Shenhe following close behind.
Beidou shot her a smile and said, “You’ll like this place and Yelan’s pretty chill. If she ever cops an attitude, you just let me know and I’ll-”
“Captain Beidou! Thank you, but that’s quite enough. Don’t scare the poor girl, please,” Ningguang warned.
Shenhe nodded in silent agreement as she took in the merchant stalls, memorizing the area as they walked. The three of them stopped in front of Yanshang Teahouse where Yelan stood waiting for them.
“Lady Ningguang. Captain Beidou. A pleasure, as always,” Yelan said with a bow.
“Yelan, it’s been quite some time. I do hope you’ve been well. This is Shenhe. I believe you know of her?” Ningguang motioned to the silver-haired woman behind her.
Yelan nodded in her direction. “Yes, as a matter of fact. I’ve heard much about her heroics here in Liyue. I was surprised to hear the two of you couldn’t take down that sea monster by yourselves. Must be losing your touch,” she said with a smirk.
Ningguang winced slightly at the intelligence agent’s sass. “Good, then you’re well aware of who she is. May we come in? We have some matters we’d like to discuss with you.”
After raising an eyebrow suspiciously, Yelan brought them into the teahouse. The place didn’t seem like much. There was a small kitchen with a stove for brewing tea, a pantry off to the side, and…that was about it. Yelan walked them over to where a carpet rested on the floor and nudged it away with her foot, revealing a trapdoor. The four of them took turns climbing down and were shocked to see the building was much bigger than it had looked from above.
Beidou let out an impressed whistle. “First time I’m seein’ this. You’ve built quite the secret base, Yelan.” Ningguang shot her a look that said, “Please stop talking.”
“Yes, I’ve been using it as my private quarters when I’m not…” She looked suspiciously at Shenhe before continuing. “…away on business. It’s perfect for meetings that need to be kept under wraps.”
As Yelan continued the tour, the group visited the cozy living area, a well-stocked kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a study. Further down the hall, she pointed out an elevator that led down to a training facility.
“Damn! I’m almost jealous of Shenhe!” Beidou said as she clapped the confused young woman on the back.
“I’m sorry…why would you be jealous of her? Am I missing something here?” Yelan asked.
Clearing her throat loudly, Ningguang responded, “We’ve concluded your next mission will involve helping Shenhe train to find her place in the human world. She has great strength and ability having served under an adeptus, but we need her to learn how to restrain herself so she can live amongst the people of Liyue without causing harm to those around her.”
Yelan said nothing for a good period of time. “Ok, I’ll bite. Why me?”
“Why not you? You’re calm, collected, patient, and of course, kind.” Beidou answered as she played with the books on the fireplace mantle.
“Yes. As Beidou so astutely pointed out, you are the best fit for this mission. Let’s call it a vacation of sorts. You’ll get a break from the exceedingly dangerous work you usually do, and in exchange, you’ll help Shenhe transition to her new life here,” Ningguang chimed as she walked over to Beidou and slapped her hands away from the neatly stacked tomes.
The agent heaved a deep sigh of resignation. “Whatever the Tianquan wants to assign me, I will of course accept. However, Shenhe…” She looked her in the eyes for the first time and felt as though the darkness she perceived in the younger woman’s soul might swallow her whole. “Are you okay with this arrangement? Is this what you want?” Yelan turned to ask her.
For the first time in her life, someone had asked Shenhe what she wanted. Cloud Retainer had made the decision for her to come live in Liyue Harbor, and the Tianquan and captain also did not think to inquire how she felt about the matter.
“Um…yes. I was born fated to bear the curse of calamity, so I am prone to bring harm to the people around me. I hope to change that fate. While I got used to living in the mountains alongside the birds and beasts a long time ago, it’s not the future I desire for myself. Thank you for asking,” Shenhe responded with a gentle smile.
She certainly doesn’t seem that dangerous when she lets her guard down a little, Yelan thought to herself. “Good. Because I won’t take on anyone who doesn’t have the drive to try and keep up with me. Welcome to your new home,” Yelan motioned down the hall.
As the two disappeared, Beidou and Ningguang stayed behind. “Is this really going to work? Do you think we can help her?” Beidou asked as Ningguang pulled her hand away from the books again and interlocked their fingers.
“I have confidence in Yelan. And stop touching her things before she decides to ‘interrogate’ you. Not even I can stop her once she gets started.”
Beidou lifted their hands and kissed the back of Ningguang’s in response. Yelan secretly caught this interaction and rolled her eyes at the unabashed show of affection.
“You two can go now. I believe everything is in order. I’ll be sure to keep you informed of her progress,” Yelan said with an edge of annoyance.
“Sounds good. Thanks, Yelan! We’ll be by to check on you both from time to time, so no funny business!” Beidou joked with a wink as they started to ascend the ladder.
“Sounds fantastic. Can’t wait to see more of the two of you,” Yelan replied sarcastically.
A tinge of jealousy coursed through her when she saw the two of them acting like kids in love. Not because of who they were, but because of what they felt for each other. Yelan was one of the few people who knew they were a couple. Of course, it was also no secret to Yanfei, Ganyu, and Keqing, but Beidou and Ningguang certainly seemed to be more affectionate with one another when around her for some reason. Perhaps it was because they knew she could keep a secret (it was basically her occupation), but, whatever the reason, it annoyed her seeing them flaunt it.
Once the two were gone, she turned to Shenhe. “Please make yourself at home. Be sure to eat and get plenty of sleep. We start training sometime tomorrow.”
Shenhe gave her a look of confusion. “Sorry…‘sometime’? I thought Lady Ningguang said you were on vacation…couldn’t we start at any time?”
“We’ll begin whenever I decide to wake up. I think we may have two very different perspectives on what a vacation is, my dear. That being said, I believe I’m about to call it a night.”
“Goodnight. I'm a light sleeper. If I hear anything in the vicinity, I'll investigate it for you,” Shenhe replied eagerly. Clearly, her time in the mountains had made her unaccustomed to the city. The worst thing she’d encounter here was a rogue firecracker set off by some mischievous child out past their bedtime.
“Uh…yea. Thanks. You do that,” Yelan quickly stated as she headed to her room. Closing the door behind her, she let out the breath she was holding.
She wasn’t sure why, but she felt nervous around Shenhe. Perhaps it was because the girl was so…strange? No, strange was too harsh a word. Different. That was a more accurate description. Different, but not in a bad way. Different in a sense Yelan could not yet describe. Whatever the reason for her being on edge, she figured it would pass after some much-needed rest.
