Fic writer ask: 25 and 74?
Thank you for the ask :D
25. What fic do you wish you got more of a response on?
This is such a difficult question because I've been equal parts delighted and bewildered by (and very grateful for) the response on most of my fics. My go-to answer for questions like these has always been 'first first meeting'--it's the fourth least-read fic I've posted, but it was also once described as "bill & ted's excellent adventures in superheroics" which was amazing and I still think about it literally all the time--but recently I was rereading part of 'looking back i see a setting sun' and rediscovered one of my favorite lines I've ever written just like hidden in there. So maybe that one?
74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?
OKAY SO THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME. When I first posted 'some who dream of dawn,' the very first person to leave a comment mentioned that they saw the snippet I posted on tumblr. To this day I have no idea how the stars aligned for that to happen--I posted that snippet months before I posted the fic & the fic is still anonymous, but it was like. My favorite thing ever. What would give me away is my inability to Not Post Snippets.
(If I did manage to Not Post Snippets, what would probably give me away is the full page of notes at the end of each fic. Every time I tell myself that I'm going to keep the notes brief and every time I fail. I'd love to pick a stylistic thing but I honestly can't think of one that isn't that almost-omniscient-narrator voice that sneaks into my stories way more often than it should)
