A lot of ppl are complaining that Jensen didn't shed tears during the confession and therefore didn't have a reaction.... I'm like, did you not see his quivering lips? His glassy eyes? Were ya'll watching the same clips?! Jensen has always played Dean as subtle, small minute changes in expressions and tones. After Cas confessed his love, Dean had no time to verbally respond, true, but he did with his eyes and lips and repeated swallowing and yeah, I watched that clip several times and imo Jensen played Dean as being deeply affected. I may be biased but I dont know how the heck some ppl can say Jensen/Dean had no reaction.

I just don’t understand it.  I know that I live in Dean Winchester’s head, I know (not to sound like a total asshole) that I have an understanding of him that others might not, but it BAFFLES me, that someone could watch that scene and think that Dean had no emotion.

His face said everything, everything it needed to.  Confusion, realization, hope, fear, pain, all of it.  He’s being ripped in half, torn by his desire to tell Cas how he feels and his desire to keep him there with him.
