¡Feliz Navidad!
Hello everyone! This week has been awesome.
Some news/updates:
We had an amazing lesson with our friend, Laura. I have probably mentioned her before in previous emails, but she is a friend of our recent convert, Oscar, and she is really interested in learning more! On Saturday we taught her about the Plan of Salvation and she said she really enjoyed it and understood it all. We have another lesson with her tomorrow and we are optimistic that we can put her on-date for baptism! If y'all would include her in your prayers for her heart to be softened to accept that invitation, that would be spectacular! I will give y'all updates on that next week!
We had our Christmas Zone Conference on Tuesday and it was super fun. We heard some great talks and messages, and afterward had lunch and played Christmas Jeopardy. I am sad to report that Elder Wilson and I lost Christmas Jeopardy, ending up with 0 points because we did double or nothing at the end and didn't know the answer.... BUT we gave it our all and had a lot of fun. Next year we will destroy everyone!!! Haha! XD
Spiritual thought:
We have been sharing a lot of messages about the birth of the Savior lately, and I wanted to share a few verses with y’all from Matthew chapter 2:
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
There are a lot of things I could mention about these verses, but for now I will just pose this question: What gifts can you give the Savior this Christmas? Obviously, we cannot physically give Jesus gold, frankincense, or myrrh. However, we can give Him our time and our love. We can spend time in the scriptures, pray, attend church (whether virtually or in-person), spend time with our families, and serve others. These are just a few of the gifts we can give the Savior this Christmas. I want to encourage you all to think about what you can give Him. You will receive so many blessings as you think and act upon this! :)
I want to end with a short testimony that I know Jesus Christ lives. He was born, He lived, He died, and He was resurrected -- and He did all that for us. His life and His Atonement are the greatest gifts we have been given. He is our Savior. He is the Prince of Peace, and if we lean on Him, we can overcome all. :)
Merry Christmas, everyone! Go watch the Christ Child video if you haven't already!
Love y'all,
Elder Millar
The only picture I have to post is a random one of me lol. That can be y'alls Christmas gift haha ;)
