Yes, I am an atheist! No, I am not an anti-theist. No, I am not under the impression that I am smarter than someone just because they believe in a god or gods. (there are scientists who are christians after all not christian scientists that is a totally different thing and is legitimately harmful) I consider humanism a stronger indicator of one's character than whether or not one believes in the supernatural, and I would rather hang out with ten progressive theists than one asshole atheist.

THAT BEING SAID: If you try to proselytize/evangelize to me in favor of your preferred religion, I will not tolerate that for a single moment. Just accept that I do not believe, I've likely already heard every point you'd try to make several times over, and move on with your life without worrying about the state of my supposed soul (which I don't even know if I have).

I don't reblog call-out posts, as it is all too common for it to be nothing more than personal beef blown out of proportion (or worse, dogpiling on a marginalized individual under the oft-exaggerated or outright falsified belief that they did something bad). I think I'm cognizant and socially aware enough to be able to make my own judgments of people with my own critical thinking skills.
