They share a sire, but had known each other beforehand when she was an American CIA Operative working to destabilize the Soviet Union (ghouled after she crossed the pond) and he was a secretly unwilling KGB Agent born in former Yugoslavia, now Serbia (ghouled after Xandy's trial period was complete.) Xandy is the dutiful shining star - a master assassin with plenty of clean kills beneath her belt, while Kolya is the capitalistic disappointment who sells to the Camarilla out of a van. Kolya also despises the Tremere, though that's not really new for many people of his clan.
