i have decided that i don't ship wukong and macaque in the same way you don't ship a divorced couple
#and yes this is a different vibe than the way you Would ship a divorced couple#do i think there was something there? yeah. is it gone? completely. irreparably even if they're friends again#idk man i think they've all just been through too much#wukong trapped macaque away forever. macaque went after wukong's student#and i'm sure the fallout from wukong joining the jade emporer and macaque staying felt like a huge betrayal on both ends#it doesn't even seem like they've had a chance to reconcile even after macaque's redemption arc#they're the kind of ship the marriage counsellor reccommends divorce to#(which sucks for me because it looks like it's the biggest ship in this fandom. oops.)#mck's lmk watch experience
