First off, Waldo! You know, I wonder why they didn't keep this style for the books; I think he looks cuter here compared to his chicken stare-looking face in the books-

You know, I was suspicious when he said he was "disgusting" despite the only thing disgusting he does is jump into a garbage can to spy on Wally in the finale (and maybe the pocket lint scene in ep. 1 where he claimed it was "used"???). Guys as much as I love Waldotective fics I am becoming steadily more concerned that y'all are perpetuating fandom misogyny by not paying attention to Wenda whatsoever and only treating her like a plot device.

Like I know she wasn't shown on screen at all and we barely know anything about her, but Cmon we can do better. As someone who is painfully aware of the RAMPANT Misogyny throughout queer fandom and fandom as a whole, I can't help but suspect that the lumpytouch where's waldo fandom would pay more attention to Wenda and would at the very least try to add more onto her had she been... y'know, male?

Fandoms as a whole barely give any recognition to women anyway so it's not a stretch.

I just wanna babble about each character 💔

Wally: 6’6ft tall guy who’s special interest is traveling the world and learning about cultures and history, he’s very passionate about his studies but due to his curiosity he tends to wonder off fairly easily, not to mention get himself in danger without realizing, he always sees the good in things no matter the outcome, he always sees the positive. A current student under wizard whitebeard helping him with his riddle filled quests.

Wizard Whitebeard: a wizard for generations and mentor to Wally, he’s laid back and a overall fun person to be around, always up to some sort of fun or mischief, he was the one that gifted Wally his magic walking stick that allows him to travel to different parts of the world easily,

Wenda: twin sister to Wilma, Wenda is a starter photographer and is close friends to Wally, she works part time at a museum Wally often comes to bringing information he has learned sharing his studies, she has a passion for culture and history, mainly for the arts.

Wilma: unlike her twin sister Wenda, she’s very shy. She shares the same passion for photography and uses this to travel and study what she finds, often writing it in a journal, she’s done photography for years but is willing to help Wenda with her new hobby of photography.

Woof: Wally’s pet dog and best friend woof! He always seems to be the one getting Wally out of danger with his quick thinking but at times even he can get scared, but Wally always reassures him things will always work out.

Odlaw: the “antagonist” more so just misunderstood, often compared to Wally and feels a massive inferiority complex, he feels jealous of Wally, many reasons to go off of but he doesn’t want any harm done to Wally, just to be his equal, but his ego of his tends to get in the way and wanting to get that magic walking stick for himself.

"Do you remember me now!?"

Ok... So, you're probably confused, let me explain.

I have this idea when I looked up on some of the Where's Waldo/Wally characters and one peaked my interest. That character is Wilma, she was originally Waldo's girlfriend and Woof's owner, but then she got replaced by her own twin sister Wenda.

She was no longer Waldo/Wally's girlfriend and Woof's owner, and she's never mentioned again unless you count Wenda or any other character mentioning her in a postcard or something. I found it tragic because she was Waldo/Wally's girlfriend until she got replaced and forgotten about, hell... Waldo/Wally fell in love with her!

Imagine you get a lover of your dreams and then suddenly you're replaced and forgotten about. That would be tragic.

I would imagine Wilma going into her villain arc after she was replaced and forgotten by changing her clothes and cutting her hair shorter and dying her hair black, also getting new glasses so she wouldn't be reminded of Wenda, the one who she got replaced with. Wilma hates anything that reminded her of her sister, like cameras, she would destroy it with her umbrella (which is now black and grey). Wilma will also get a giant pet snake that has black and grey stripes and named him Hiss, she'll use him as a ride or for fights. As for the others, they would probably think Wenda was the one Waldo fell in love with and was the one who they met for the first time since she and Wenda are identical twins.

Waldo/Wally, Woof, Wizard Whitebeard, and Odlaw doesn't remember Wilma except for Wenda who wonders where her sister went. Now Wilma wants revenge.

If there was a Where's Waldo/Where's Wally movie and she was the villain, then do it to where the reason is that she wants to be remembered and doesn't want to be mistaken for her sister again, all because she was replaced...

(I wondered why she was replaced by her sister, why did Martin Handford just decided to change it or was he told to change it?)

Please don't be mad at me, I just thought it would be interesting.

Story idea: Enochlophobia (aka, the fear of crowds)

Concept being Waldo, as an entity, can only manifest in a place where a lot of people are gathered, and will start to stalk his victim It Follows style. The only way the potential victim can avoid him is to avoid people. It starts off he will only appear in very large groups, but over time, if the individual is in the presence of just a few, or eventually, one other person, Waldo will appear to kill them. Even images or iconography of people start to be dangerous, even to the extent of the person's own reflection. The only way to survive is to have complete isolation, or risk destruction. (Btw, all animals besides dogs are safe to be around. I only count dogs out because of the Woof character being associated with Waldo.)

I'm a bit inspired by the Junji Ito story Army of One, in which horrible things happen to people who meet up in groups.

And I'm talking about the Where's Waldo 1991 TV Series. Like in the first episode called My Left Fang, Odlaw literally admits that he's ticklish- Not only that, but Waldo's laughter is just- MPH- (Okay, sorry- It's just- I love the sound-), and poor Waldo and Woof got tied or restrained sometimes- AND IN ONE OF THOSE IN-DIRECT VIDEOS- The Squeaky Clean Corners scene- THEY HAVE BRUSHES- IT'S JUST- ZSJDFBSDKJNKZF- (Sorry again-) I NEED SOME WHERE'S WALDO TICKLE CONTENT- (I'm pretty much the only one who made a tickle art of Waldo-) But of course, I'm not forcing y'all, it's just I wanna say this-

Comic I did for Scarfff in Jan 2024, the theme was Multiverse... woof. I pulled in a lot of references, from M.C. Escher, Windsor McKay, and Where's Waldo. This one page is done by hand using pen, brush, and ink, it was then composited together into photoshop
