is it easier to socialize in kin spaces as a minor or very young adult, i wonder? just scrolled two weeks back in the fictionkin tag out of idle curiosity and boredom, and it seems to be filled with at least as many excitable teenagers chattering at each other as it is the usual mess of longing and chaos. i haven't seen so many "bodily a minor" intro posts in a while. which is its own weirdness--advertising that in a public tag right down to the exact age is not how i came up on the internet, and i wouldn't have it differently. but i do wonder sometimes if i've aged out of optimal kin friend-making conditions. i have several mutuals now and i love you all dearly but i'd like to regularly converse with people. scuffs my foot in the mortifying ordeal of having wants.
