I really don't get the sense that Finwë or Thingol would throw punches at one another over the Silmaril debacle, it seems more likely that they would feel grief and regret over how everything unfolded... but for the sake of the argument, if someone was chewing on Mandos' walls trying to kick some ass, it wouldn't be Finwë.

#let's be real:#Thingol being justifiably annoyed with Finwëans for their disrespectful treatment of him #(they're basically ignoring the local ruler and breaking every rule of diplomacy. which must feel insane to Thingol and probaly makes him #wonder what could he possibly have done to insult Finwë so that he'd teach his kids this way: at best ignore him and at worst kill his kin)#and naming the Silmaril as a bride price for Lúthien because he thought it would resolve the Beren problem #are NOT the same as Finwë's offspring going on three killing sprees among Thingol's kin and assaulting his daughter #also Thingol probably is the more feral of the two #you don't marry a divine being and become a literal faery king if you're not little bit unhinged
