You had to have known I was gonna do Wolf-i-fied. Or maybe you didn't idk. Anyways, I love how this one came out. I'm glad I'm ending this month with a bang. Have I learned anything from this challenge? Art-wise, probably not, but I have learned that I am not built for month long challenges. I'm ready to get back to posting like once per week again.

Although vampires are my bread and butter I will say that I think, in terms of creative endeavors, werewolves are the superior option due to how flexible they can be. Whereas with vampires it's more like you got Two options either antisemitism or AIDS allegory

Vampire Linda was based on a Sulinda drawing by my lovely moot @shellefishsart and Werewolf Susan because her VA Coral literally requested art of Werewolf Susan so how could I refuse?

In this AU Linda and Felix got divorced much earlier and Linda stays in Brighton, living with Susan after the divorce. Also the car accident doesn’t happen

So Linda is a vampire (she got bit sometime in her mid 20s) and only Susan knows because besties, and she works at a blood bank. I imagine Linda carries around a little baggie of blood (baggies are easier to conceal than cups) just in case she gets the cravings while she’s out. Usually she ducks behind some secluded corner to drink because obviously she doesn’t want to be seen. If she’s out with Susan she’ll tug on her sleeve as her signal of “Hey I’m gonna go drink real quick” and Susan keeps watch for people coming nearby. Linda drinks a combination of animal blood and human blood, human blood is the most nutritious but animal blood is also to satisfy her

And then at some point Susan gets attacked by a werewolf but assumes it’s a stray dog, despite it saying “shit sorry” when it bit her (she assumes she’s hearing things) Well surprise surprise, it wasn’t a dog and Susan is now a werewolf. She doesn’t really know what to do though and just works on Cyberfun Tech projects to keep her mind off things (this takes place in 1970 before she joined BSI) She’s already got chronic insomnia so staying up all night isn’t new for her, with or without fur. But one night she doesn’t have anything to do and is extremely antsy and overwhelmed by everything. She wants to run around outside but doesn’t plus overstimulation from heightened senses, so she just lays on the couch for a while.

Linda then strolls into her apartment after she and Felix got into an argument again and sees Susan fully wolfified just chilling on the couch. They make awkward eye contact for a while before Linda’s like “…when did this happen???”

And then later Linda moves in with Susan and they kiss. The end

Second doodle was just for funsies, Susan probably thinks she’s being subtle lmao. Also I drew this to show that she doesn’t go around butt-ass naked, just wearing some shitty old clothes that can take some stretching

to the aph/garroth werewolf anon from a while ago honestly i would argue that garroth's turning serves Far more interesting narrative relevance than aph's, despite her reasoning being very There (and. not great). i see it as narratively sensible because its the culmination of sooo much built-up tension to do with aaron as a "threat". literally every relevant character has drilled into us that ultima eyes bad and dangerous and we've seen the negative affects on aaron's self-esteem and such but up until that point the werewolf turning risk of the ultima gaze was kind of just. a vague threat. oooh if you do this something bad will happen oooh so never let it happen. a constantly looming threat, and starlight as a season is building up 'something's gotta give' with a few near misses, and then finally it Does give in way of garroth's turning. + i'm not counting emerald secret ein stuff in the use of ultima eyes. but i feel the tipping point had to be a Personal accidental turning rather than 'oops i ruined a stranger's life!' garroth specifically turning into a werewolf provided a very personal involved consequence for aaron and was the tonal tipping point from starlight into waf. its important because it happens to a close friend that isn't aphmau, because aaron has a very close-to-the-heart consequence that resolves a lot of the building tension to do with the ultima, and it kind of sets aaron on a path for waf. garroth was also a good fit because he didn't have much to do really save for his involvement in the experimentation/forever potions the way that the other core starlight cast did and he was probably one of the closest characters to aaron after aph that wasn't already either a werewolf or meif'wa. narratively it makes way more sense for garroth to be wolfified than aph [and for aph to be a werewolf from the start of the series but shhhh shhhh thats just me] - lucinda and kim have their own shit going on, as do katelyn and travis, kc can't be turned and zane becomes too involved with both aph and kc to serve as a close personal consequence for aaron specifically, but garroth comedic relief mcgee over here definitely can Also ascend to fulfill a serious tonal shift for aaron. but yeah i personally really like garroth's turning narratively even if i'd tweak some stuff about it!!!! and also it serves the fact that hes soooo cute<3 SORRY FOR LATE ANON I JUST REALLY LIKE TO TALK ABT THIS SO I WANTED TO BOUNCE OFF
