Der Viertelgraf zu Glampvatten

Liebes Logbuch,

heute hat Annika ihre Mückenstiche gezählt und bei 23 aufgehört. Die Viecher haben sogar durch die Hose gestochen! Davon haben bestimmt nicht einmal die Nonnen in Tansania was gehört. Ich hatte so ungefähr drei Mückenstiche. Die reichten mir aber auch. Jedenfalls wurden wir heute Nacht gegen zwei Uhr dreißig von Annikas juckenden Füßen geweckt, die so heftig aneinander geschuppert wurden, dass das WoMo wackelte.

Den bewölkten Morgen nutzten wir und stapften über den „Telefonberg“ zu einem Aussichtspunkt, der freien Blick in ein Tal gewährt. Hier verteilten wir aufgeschnittene Äpfel, die Elche für unsere nächtliche Pirsch anlocken sollten. Auf diese Idee brachten uns Schilderungen Einheimischer, allerdings war uns nicht klar ob man säckeweise Äpfel auftürmen müsste oder ob auch ein paar kleine Apfelschnitze genügen würden. Nach einer Inhaltsüberprüfung unserer Vorräte entschieden wir uns für zwei angematschte niedersächsische Braeburn, die wir achtelten und in das Tal schleuderten.

Die Entschleunigung eines Urlaubs ohne Spülmaschine erforderte nun wieder nasse Handarbeit, denn nicht nur Wolfgangs Grill wollte die Spuren des Grillabends beseitigt wissen. Fast nahtlos gingen wir über in die Zubereitung des Mittagessens: Annika zauberte aus ihrem hervorragenden Gedächtnis eine vegetarische Nudelpfanne „Asia“ und wir mampften vergnügt im mittäglichen Sonnenschein. Den sich anschließenden Nachmittag verbrachten wir am Sandstrand des Store Väktor Sees und spielten das Brettspiel (Triominos), das Annika natürlich souverän gewann.

Der Aufenthalt am Ort meiner Sehnsucht brachte natürlich auch Gespräche über die Geschichte des Hofes sowie meine Familiengeschichte zutage. Meine Großeltern erwarben den verfallenen Waldbauernhof, genannt „Kringvatten“ (= kreisrundes Gewässer) und restaurierten diesen nach Maßstäben des 19. Jahrhunderts, weshalb mein Vater den Aufenthalt hier stets als „Indoor Camping“ bezeichnet: Keine Dusche, keine Steckdose, dafür aber ein Freiluft Plumpsklo. Unsere Anreise mit einer mobilen Dusch-Handyladestation-Klo-Kombination auf 4,2 t Gesamtmasse kann man daher getrost als „Glamping“, also Glamour Camping bezeichnen (den Begriff Glamping haben wir uns nicht ausgedacht, das waren andere - zu unseren Hirngespinsten komme ich gleich noch). Wie dem auch sei, jedenfalls war Oma eine geborene Gräfin, doch leider hat sie uns kein Schloss mit Krokodilen im Burggraben vermacht, denn das musste sie im Krieg verkaufen um hungrige Mäuler zu stopfen. Trotzdem fließt ein Viertel blaues Blut in meinen Adern (ich glaube deshalb bin ich wechselwarm, oder so). Und darum hat Annika befunden ich sei kein Wegelagerer, kein Vagabund am See - sondern der Viertelgraf zu Glampvatten 🤴🏼. Sogleich erhob sie sich zur Viertelgräfin und verabschiedete das erste rechtskräftige Pamphlet, das als Mückenbann von Glampvatten in die Annalen des Waldbauernhofes eingehen wird: Mücken hatten ab sofort striktes Aufenthalts- und Stechverbot auf unseren viertelgräflichen Ländereien. Meine Bedenken ob der Rechtskraft ihres Edikts, da wir noch nicht vermählt sind (Annika lehnt dies strikt ab solange ich noch keinen Weg gefunden habe gemeinsame Nachkommen selbst auszutragen), verscheuchte Annika mit ungeduldigem Gefuchtel ihrer viertelgräflichen Durchlauchtigkeit.

Nachdem das Mückenproblem nun gelöst war, kneteten wir Burger Pattys. Wir grillten sie über offenem Feuer und backten Kartoffeln in der Glut. Ein Beilagensalat rundete ein durchaus royales Mahl ab, das mit Bier runtergespült wurde. Anschließend packten wir Kissen und Decken für die Elchpirsch ein, zogen uns warm an und sprühten uns mit zehn Lagen Autan Anti-Mücken-Spray ein - nur für den Fall! Dann schleppten wir unsere satten Bäuche auf den Ausguck, richteten uns auf Kissen ein und deckten uns zu. Als sich meine Augen an die Abenddämmerung gewöhnt hatten, fand ich die grell orangefarbenen Fleecedecken doch sehr grell und das Autan stank zum Himmel. Ob die Apfelscheibchen gegen den Plastikgestank von dicken Elchnasen noch zu erschnüffeln sein würden? Es blieb zu hoffen, dass heute ein verschnupfter Elch mit Sehschwäche Dienst haben würde. So blieben wir reglos sitzen.

Zwei Minuten später summten eintausend Mücken, Kriebelmücken und Schlimmeres über unseren Köpfen und machten einen Höllenlärm, der mit Sicherheit bis ins Tal zu hören war. Offenbar hatte sich der Mückenbann zu Glampvatten noch nicht bis in den Wald herumgesprochen… Tapfer verharrten wir auf dem Felsen, bis die Dunkelheit den Wald um uns verschluckte und wir auch einen kurzsichtigen oder farbenblinden, tauben und anosmatischen Elch nicht mehr hätten sehen können. Also beendeten wir die Elchpirsch und bahnten uns mit Handytaschenlampen den Weg zurück zur Bergkuppe. Im Flüsterton fachsimpelten wir über das Geschehene und achteten hauptsächlich auf unsere Füße im steinigen Terrain - bis plötzlich direkt neben uns etwas Riesiges durchs Unterholz brach! Wir erstarrten in der Bewegung und lauschten: Was auch immer in der Schwärze der Nacht direkt neben dem Weg stand, hatte unglaublichen Lärm gemacht. Infrage kamen folgende Lebewesen, absteigend nach Wahrscheinlichkeit: 1. ein Mammut, 2. ein Mensch auf vier Stelzen, 3. ein Elch oder 4. ein eher tollpatschiges Reh. Wie versteinert glotzten wir in die Dunkelheit, doch konnten schlichtweg absolut gar nichts erkennen! Wir wechselten zunehmend nervöse Blicke, schließlich gibt es im hohen Norden Schwedens auch Bären - und wer weiß, durch Corona geschuldetes „nature is healing“ und den Klimawandel ist heutzutage doch wohl alles möglich. Nach einer schieren Ewigkeit, in der mein Kopfkino mir verschiedene Versionen eines wilden Faustkampfes mit 1. einem auf Stelzen laufenden Wikinger, 2. einem Bären oder 3. hoffentlich dem eher tollpatschigen Reh (bitte, lieber Waldgeist, lass es das Reh sein!) vorführte, stürzte sich das Etwas in entgegengesetzter Richtung davon, über die Bergkuppe, in direkter Richtung der Apfelschnitze. Da nun sowohl Wikinger als auch Elche bekannt für Apfelkonsum sind, kann nicht abschließend geklärt werden wer in dieser besonderen Nacht eine Audienz beim verarmten Waldadel hatte.

Auch diese fantastische Spätsommernacht ließen wir am Lagerfeuer ausklingen. Der große Wagen sah heute Nacht wie die Axt eines Wikingers aus.

After a breach between Earth and the netherworld opens up over New York, humans and creatures from other dimensions become trapped in an impenetrable bubble that surrounds the city.
