finished veilguard and my final thoughts on it are that it's a pretty fun rpg but a bad dragon age game

Tasque Manager also has voice clips but she only speaks when she’s attacking and she’s not a secret boss while Jevil and Spamton has voice clips in their theme songs so Mettaton is disqualified cause he only speaks when he’s hit and before he reveals his second form with “Yes!” or “Oh Yeah!” (The only other character who speaks in theme song is Rouxls who says “Hey!” in his theme song and he’s weird cause he seems like secret boss material)

i see what you are saying, my thory is mased solely on the fact that they have voicelines with complete words, there are several characters that have some recorded bits, like a laugh or a hurt sound (Omega Flowey)

These three characters are the only ones (that i know of) that have a phrase recorded and played as part of their song or attack. Whith Mettaton it's what initiates phase two of his neutral battle.

Screenshot transcription start/first ask- Anon: Chances for a mettaton boss is that it’s more likely that boss of chapter 3 will take inspiration from Mettaton’s game show thing back in undertale much and his box form much like how Queen of chapter 2 is parallel to Mettaton’s second form: She’s a cool looking robot with nice legs and rules over a city with a goal to make everyone happy

Second ask- Anon: The only way that Mettaton gets to be a boss if he joins along into a dark world and be an opponent much like Berdly was in chapter 2 since most of the bosses and secret bosses are consisted of darkeners whereas Mettaton is a lightner. /end transcription

I do agree that Mettaton will likely play a part of Ch2 Berdly style, and in Ch2 he did ask Kris a favour to bring some entertainment by tomorrow . so with both the carnival arriving tomorrow, and the TV lighting up at the end of the chapter, both seem to be up UT Mettaton's alley. Though thinking on it a bit more, he could play a part but not be a main antagonist, given that DR is a setting with completly different characters for the main story.

So far, what we know about the secret bosses is that they struck a deal with a "man" and a "voice" that has shown them there is more to their world, like Jevil with their world being a "game" and Spamton reaching for "heaven". There is more i'm sure, i might be lacking on my DR lore knowledge a bit.

With Mettaton being a lightner, i really do not know if this will be as restrictive as before since Kris left the house door open at the end of Ch3, which may or may not have an effect on where the dark fountain will affect, like if the door was closed it would just be the living room or oh! idk, there is so much! i'm spitballing and see what sticks and having fun while doing so.

In short, maybe! At least i would like Mettaton to play a part of Ch3, even if the chance is small now. There is also the whole deal with the Mike person Spamton mentioned..
