but like i can see one of two thing happening either it will be a flop and nobody will speak of the show ever again or it will be changed into some netflix romance show version of the original and people will be like where can i find my dorrigo 🥺🥺🥺. the way he had sex with amy when that dog was watching was so romantic 🥺 why can't i have a nephew like that 🥺

and they turn his actual wife into like, a villain (instead of just a nothing of a character) and like really focus on the chapped lips part of the novel

do you think they'll have the parts where people drown in their own shit y/n

what about that pow rooster who was like reading mein kampf do you think they will keep him in. and dorrigo can like. heroically punch him or something. or like teach him the value of mateship (is that something that netflix audiences care about)???

i'm both afraid of this accurately portraying the novel (because ew) and inaccurately portraying it (which it must do to be at all appealing to any audience besides tony abbott, and thence potentially becoming popular).

imagine a world where instead of people saying "oh you're from australia, just like that mermaid show h2o" (<- multiple people have said that to me) they say "oh you're from tasmania just like my favorite netflix bad boy dorrigo evans"

if you knew me you would understand that this is tantamount to a death sentence. they want me dead. they mean to kill me.
