#with how much gregory needs screentime just as a character and if he'd need to wait even longer after a ggy reveal

I keep thinking about how on earth they would canonize ggy bc like. at this point if they have to sacrifice Gregory screentime of just him to make something we already know actually canon, I would rather just take the screentime, but on the other hand they have to canonize it if they want to do anything at all with that plotline, and that makes me wonder if theyll stick with it as canon in the games at all or just leave it as background knowledge if u read the book 😭

sb cast ranked by how much of a bitch they are to write (off the top of my head):

chica: extremely opaque character who does actually have stuff going on behind her eyes, it's just nothing we're privy to. every day i mourn that ruin didn't actually focus on her because god would it have been nice. fanon has her as super earnest and cheerful, but the only time we see her like that is in in-universe marketing material -- and we all know how reliable that is. i keep writing posts about this stupid chicken and then deleting them because she is such a nightmare to rotate in my brain let alone articulate to other people.

moon: little screentime and aura of mystery makes it hard to guess how he'd react to scenarios outside the one we see him in, and has a very particular Voice and Vibe that needs to be nailed down to feel authentic. fanon!moon being an entirely different character doesn't help, because not only is there no-one to bounce ideas off of but everyone will hate you for not giving them their special little boy. hard to write a character nobody wants to engage with

sun: same problems as moon but to a lesser extent, since we have a bit more material to work with. my main problem with this guy is balancing his temper against the peppy attitude -- what are the steps to his anger, how obviously do they lash out, how to convey his deal to the audience, etc etc etc. kind of character who's a bitch to fit in an outline but flows once you're actually sitting and writing him. unfortunately, i hate sitting and writing him.

monty: while portraying him isn't like pulling teeth the way the first three are, he's still a bitch because of how wildly interpretations of his character vary depending on the perspective you approach it from. he's outwardly very shallow, but there's something big and scary lurking beneath the surface; the challenge is in deciding, is he the water the monster lurks in, or the thing hidden below it? and then finding ways to tell the audience about that danger.

freddy: for no reason other than how much of his Everything relies on body language over tone of voice or expressions. his face can't move and he's very stiff & restrained in his movements, so you've gotta find the middle ground between his robotic nature and the humanity necessary to make conversations Work. this guy's ears are hard carrying every interaction he's involved in i swear to god

gregory: i'm a very loquacious person and an even more verbose writer. he is a preteen boy. he's also (generally) one of the primary pov characters. i am in a hell of my own creation.

vanny: harder than vanessa because of how little she speaks, so most of her presence comes down to atmosphere over dialogue, but i can make it work.

vanessa: after two years of writing her it's become second-nature. difficult in that her own pov is so radically different from an outsider's take on her, so you've gotta walk the tightrope between keeping her thoughts close to her chest and letting the audience in on the action -- but again, i can make it work.

roxy: she's so fucking easy it's not even funny. how did people need an entire dlc to figure her out and then still not get it. i don't understand you people

burntrap and the blob: i don't tend to write anything involving these guys, so they're not really on my radar. they also don't talk and we know fuck-all about them, so they get to go hang out in limbo the way steel wool seems to want them to. have fun, fellas!

djmm: he's just a guy. :)

moon is such a bitch to write but the only way i've found to make workshopping his dialogue easier is by imagining kellen goff actually saying the lines in his stupid chainsmoker voice. like if he's running out of air by the time it's done then you've fucked up and it's back to the drawing board for another half-hour as punishment (to really get in the spirit of things)

How I feel about this character: he is literally me. on a more serious note though, i adore him and i love seeing and hearing about him. he's just a silly guy

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: to be honest i don't really ship him with anyone! i like jeremike on occasion, but yeah no real romantic ships im interested in

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: oh my god him and elizabeth. him and his siblings in general but GOD blueycapsules fucked me over because i think about him and elizabeth literally so much. theyre relationship as siblings. how crying child's death affected them. god i just think they both really need a hug. i just think the relationshio between siblings is something that can make me so . crying breaking down sobbing

My unpopular opinion about this character: idk i havent really seen anyone talk about it but i HATE the glam mike theory and the idea that crying child must forgive him. sure he's done some good to try and help people but you dont always need to make amends. just rubs me the wrong way. not everyone has to forgive you 100% of the time and i feel like the glam mike/ cc gregory just... ruins that? or the way people frame it sometimes at least.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i really hope he died. like. for realsies. i really wish he and will had both died forever infinity in the last fire. i dont want him to be glam freddy. i want him to be dead and resting. also if you are gonna keep will alive.... i at least wish he'd have more screentime than one ending

Favorite friendship for this character: charlie. i think they could kick ass together. go unleash these traumatized kids on william afton rn. let them beat his ass. they deserve it.
