This whole writers strike has really put me off trying to write as a career. I may as well get a real job and then keep writing as a hobby. That way it can't be ruined for me.
#tbh i'm super pessimistic about the whole creative landscape as a whole#tbh making creating art the exclusive domain of a whole elite class of creatives was a mistake#it feels like audiences are only getting less sophisticated#everybody is being screwed by the execs#and nothing good is even being made!#the industry feels like vultures all the way down#and tbh these writers on strike who seem like the good guys are the same guys who are hurriedly pulling the ladder up behind them#in regard to young talent#i hope all of big media burns#it should be self-published novels student films and webcomics drawn by teenagers from here on out#with any luck we'll all regress into cavemen telling myths and legends around a camp fire#that way we're all artists
