Let's get down to business and post my very first tword headcanons! (Eeeeee I'm so flustered and excited please help meee) And the very first fandom I'll tackle is... Megamind!

I will go through the major characters with major speaking roles and impacts on the plot (Megamind, Roxanne, Minion, Metro Man, Hal/Tighten) and cover each one in a separate post. So without further ado, let's begin this, ahem, PRESENTATION with our main villain? hero?

MEGAMIND

As a ler:

With Megamind's childhood being very friendless and his upbringing quite institutional, with growing up in a prison and Warden probably having been quite a strict and unaffectionate father figure, I think tickling has always been quite a distant thing for him: he has seen it happening between other people but probably figured it was an affectionate action and thus never got involved, having internalized the idea that he's evil and not worthy of normal human affection. The one exception might have been Minion and perhaps his Brainbots whom he gives a little scratch under the chin every now and then, but then again how much does that count since they're robots? After his redemption, however, he has naturally marked Roxanne as his target. 😉 Megamind isn't that much of a ler, but every now and then he might playfully take on this "ruthless supervillain" role and attack with tickles whenever he and Roxanne are bantering over something. Oh, and if they ever have kids he is SURE to tickle them regularly! He definitely would do the CLAAAAAW Jim Carrey's character does in Liar Liar XD

As a lee:

Pfft. Look at this guy. Are you seriously telling me he is NOT a ticklish cinnamon bun?! Cause he is. Being estranged from any tickle action since childhood he probably was never tickled in his earlier years and he never realised his sensitivity... Until Roxanne came along and one day teasingly ran one finger down his spine without knowing just how entertaining reaction she would get. 🤭 Since then she has given, ahem, payback for all those kidnappings on a regular basis (well that, and she just finds his reactions darn cute). Megamind is a very squirmy lee, a true wiggly worm with an ADORABLE frantic giggle. As for tickle spots... Megamind is one giant tickle spot, though squeezing his sides nets particularly nice guffaws. Also, once Minion found out his master was ticklish he couldn't help poking his sides at least once - well, can you blame him? 😚 The guy is a sweet blue cinnamon roll.

MARKIPLI-- I mean METRO MAN

As a ler:

Honestly, I don't see Metro Man as much of a ler. He does show certain playful traits in the film, such as juggling those babies, so perhaps he has sometimes given fly rides for some schoolkids and given them small tickles.

... That being said, juuuust like everyone else in the main cast sans Hal, he got the word about Megamind being ticklish from Roxanne and the next time they met he couldn't resist the temptation. 🤭 The little buddy is everyone's collective tickle target - I guess fictional characters find the "evil supervillain is actually stupidly ticklish" trope just as appealing as we in the tword community do.

As a lee:

Now here I am a bit torn apart by my opinions. In the beginning of the film baby Metro Man giggles when his surrogate mum tickles him briefly, which would mean he is canonically at least somewhat ticklish. On the other hand I'm highly entertained by the idea that his super DNA nullifies any major weaknesses, including ticklishness; and in one of their battles Megamind actually tried to subdue him with a tickle beam only for it to have no effect whatsoever, cue a hilariously anticlimactic defeat 🤣 So let's take a middle ground and say he is only very slightly ticklish on his stomach (and even there not enough to render him helpless)? Alternatively, he was more ticklish as a child but eventually grew out of it.

Megamind tickle headcanons part 3, this time featuring our beloved the most fantastical fish! Honestly, while both films themselves are fine, Minion > the Minions.

As a ler:

As mellow and soft-spoken he might appear, Minion has a surprisingly mischievous ler side in him. His huge gorilla mecha suit and robotic hands are pretty much made for holding people in an inescapable tickle hug and spider along their ribs without ever tiring out! I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he has done to the Warden or some poor prison guard at least once as part of Megamind's prison escape ploys 😂 Although his primary lee is his master, of course. He doesn't do it often, but he sees when Megamind is in need of light cheer up tickles and he gladly does anything to help him. Also, I'm pretty sure at some point Minion teamed up with Roxanne to absolutely wreck his giggly master just for the heck of it 😆 As skilled a ler he may be, though, most of the time he gives people their private space and draws the line at using tickling as any serious torture.

As a lee:

His gorilla body is artificial, so that's not probably ticklish at all. His real fish self, however, has its sensitive spots: gently fingering his fins makes him twitch and giggle, and his light soft tummy is very squishable and doing so makes him yelp loudly, although he finds skritching his underside actually quite nice, even if it elicits some snickers too. Megamind is his primary tickler, it's been one of their ways to bond ever since their childhood. Minion doesn't feel comfortable being tickled by anyone else, although Roxanne might do eventually. To him tickling is innocent fun and quite an intimate gesture of affection.

Sorry for the long pause but now I'll carry on with the Megamind tickle headcanons! Last time I covered Megamind himself so this time it's Roxanne's turn.

As a ler:

Roxanne is quite much a no-nonsense woman, so in general she's not the kind of person who starts tickle fights with her friends. If the lee happens to be Megamind... Well, that's a whole different game. 😏 As I mused in my lee!Megamind hc, after they started dating she found out about his ticklishness by accident and she. Didn't. Ignore. The opportunity. Like, after the first accidental tickle she smirked and just kept going, lightly running her both index fingers up and down his sides while he squirmed and let out peals of giggly squeals. Roxanne prefers soft teasy tickles opposed to any rough wrecking and doesn't push any limits, taking the question of consent very seriously as it should.

As a lee:

Roxy is averagely ticklish: not an unfeeling rock but not particularly sensitive either. She's ticklish in all the typical spots, not really having a specific worst spot. She strongly dislikes being tickled if she feels her bodily integrity is disrespected (Hal you creepy f*cker, I'm looking at you) but if her relationship with the ler is good she doesn't mind it...

So in other words don't worry, Megamind does get his fair share of payback times. 😉

*sigh* If I'm doing tword headcanons about the Megamind main cast I guess I also have to include mister emperor of all Nice Guys(TM). His character is great and very significant in the film but... you know. I really really don't like this dude.

HAL/TIGHTEN

As a ler:

Yup, you guessed it. Hal doesn't have any idea what personal space or bodily integrity mean - or if he knows, he doesn't care. When they worked together Hal quite often snuck pokes on Roxanne's sides despite Roxy always telling him not to. I guess either he reasoned it to himself like "Well she smiled/giggled so it must mean she actually liked it" or just plain didn't respect her boundaries. I'm pretty sure that's the "flirting tactic" he's used on his previous crushes as well. Even if his lee isn't a woman he's interested in, he's the kind of scummy ler who keeps tickling past the lee's limit and then gets mad when the lee is upset with him. ("Well I didn't MEAN anything bad, I just thought it would be nice to have some innocent fun--" Okay, now I'm just venting about my ex who had eerily similar traits. Thank Arceus I'm not with him anymore.)

Seriously: f**k this guy.

As a lee:

His ticklishness depends on if we talk about his superpowered self or the regular nerfed Hal. As Tighten, I think Metro Man's DNA made him if not totally immune, at least very non-ticklish. Without his superpowers, however, Hal is very sensitive. Reacts to tickles by becoming a loudly cackling, flailing, helpless child who'll beg and do anything (like tell the attacker to rob his neighbour instead) to make it stop. His most sensitive spots are in his hips and armpits. But keep in mind, he hasn't got an inch of cute lee in him. F**k this guy.

In conclusion: f**k this guy.

Rules and boundaries

This is primarily a SFW blog! Some NSFW-ish discussion might pop up in some posts but I will not write explicit sexual content: for example, I might mention one of the character's tickle spots being also an erogenous zone or that their foreplay with their partner often involves tickles but I won't write a fic where they are doing said funny business. Or if I do write I won't post it here, try AO3 instead.

No non-consensual tk torture.

No full bondage. Light restraining of movement such as arms tied behind the person’s back or the classic “stuck under a bed” schticks are okay.

No content about real people such as K-pop artists, Youtubers etc.

I’d like to stay within my interpretations of the characters, so I won’t write stuff that would explicitly go against my hcs. For example, you will not get a lee!Metroman from me because I hc him as totally non-ticklish.

Be polite. (Being efficient and having a plan to kill everyone you meet are optional, though.)

I appreciate your patience! I live quite a busy lifestyle and my ADHD + depression combo aren’t really helping, so it may take time for me to answer your asks and requests. But I am happy about each one I get, and I swear to answer everything you send to me! I try to stay within a max delay of 2 to 3 weeks.

I’m the most willing to write about my current hyperfixations but you’re welcome to send asks about any of the fandoms listed above; the hyperfixation status merely means I’ll probably get them done sooner and might make more stuff for them out of my own will. :P You can ask about other fandoms too of course but then I can’t guarantee I know it well enough.
