Nothing against op, but I'm sorry, the concept that if one of the members of a canon ship dies in an au the other one will never truly be happy is so lame. Like. As much as the concept of soulmates is beautiful it's just plain unrealistic and exists for the sufferfest sake's more than anything else. Literally just. Don't know how to create easy drama for your character when realistically they shouldn't have any problems? Bam! Kill their soulmate. Booooriing.

#there are of course instances of stories with soulmates that i like. the most obvious one is jane eyre. but even there we spend enough time #with them to understand why Exactly they are meant for each other. because they're both freaks and nobody else does it like them #why on earth caitvi should be soulmates on such a level i don't understand #they barely have any dynamic in the canon as is *cough*#also i think we should start a drinking game. drink every time amanda and cristian confirm something about arcane in social media #good luck to everyone's livers🫡🫡
