specifically thoughts about how Sara spoke about love when she was rejecting August and making up with Felice. Acknowledging her feelings for august importantly, but also putting other feelings she held above those. It might have been just the way the subtitles translated it, but I also loved how they used the word 'love/feelings' for august but also sara and Felice's friendship, and also simon. It just means so much to me when friendship and platonic love is treated as just as meaningful and important, perhaps even more so, than romantic. And then also sibling love. Like that final car had all types of love in it. And they had all been liberated from the forces which tried to restrain them. So at the end of the day, true love won. In all it's different glory. And also they all made a conscious choice to get in that car. They all chose to love, and be the people they became when loving each other.

What a wonderful series of questions!

My favourite Wilmon scene is the movie night + first kiss. There's just something about Edvin and Omar's chemistry in those scenes that feels very authentic and relatable, as if we're really watching two nervous teenagers with a mutual crush. I adore all the silent acting and perfectly awkward dialogue, and the secrecy adds a layer of tension to those scenes that makes them a really intense watch.

It's actually harder for me to choose a favourite non-Wilmon scene! The top contenders are the Micke and Sara driving scenes in S3, the first Simon and Micke scene in S1, the fight between Wille and August at the end of S1, their reconciliation in S3, and also a couple of Sargust scenes. Hmm, I'm going to say the Wille-August fight, because that's just a master class in acting from both Edvin and Malte.

Also, honorary mention in both categories goes to the Lucia scene. Cinematic gold.

Favourite teenage side character outside of the main five... You may have noticed I'm disproportionately fond of Henry for reasons that are only partly rooted in canon 😅

But I actually like the majority of the teen characters, and even the ones I don't personally like I still really enjoy watching on the show! I'm the sort of viewer who always fixates on side characters and wants to know more about them, and I love that YR offers so many of these background people who all feel very authentic in their own ways. My other favourite besides Henry is probably Ayub - it might come as a surprise as I rarely talk about him, but I just love that little guy. (There is even an unfinished one-shot from his POV on my drive.)

As for the adults, my favourites are Kristina and Micke. Based on S1-S2 I would've definitely said Kristina, but I was not a huge fan of how her breakdown was written in S3, whereas Micke's return gave us some truly amazing scenes and insights into his character. So I guess it's a tie between them. Not because I like them as people or think either of them is a good parent or anything like that; I just really enjoy a nuanced and flawed character played by an outstanding actor (which both Pernilla August and Leonard Terfelt are).

One thing I wish had happened in the series that didn't... Let's just say I wish there had been more follow-up on the other storylines set up back in S1. Most notably the Simon-August conflict (that was not in fact the same as the Wille-August or Wilmon-August conflict), but also the aftermath of the video from Simon's side, as well as the handling of August's personal issues.

Or if you want one, slightly random thing, I want to know what became of the "comfortable and confident guy" extra who was going to be holding hands with another guy in S3! Who was he? What was his story? Did we (or I) just miss him in the background?
