The most frustrating part of birdwatching is that, sometimes, when you go out birding, you don't actually see any birds. Just small glimpses of a wing or tail as they leave.

I could HEAR plenty of birds today, but none would let me spot them with my binoculars. Cheeky little things...

Am I that out of practice? Or just had bad birding luck today?

@todaysbird @stupid-dyke how do I appease the birding gods so I can see some darn birds in my neighborhood???

Is mid-afternoon the wrong time of day?
