I actually do ship Terusai a little bit. Not due to canon chemistry (I haven't found any) but just because Teruhashi is down bad for that little freak and she deserves to have everything she wants, plus also a local god. 🙏🏾

However, my favorite dynamic for them is metamours + friends with benefits where Teruhashi is a lesbian and the occasional benefits are on Kuriko days.

An extremely specific dynamic, to be sure, but that's just what works for me lol.

Teruhashi's 6 years of pining don't go to waste and she won't have to deal with living in the psychic version of a panopticon, which would be a unique hell for her considering how much control she asserts over herself while also trying to pretend it's all natural.

Yeah you can technically evolve Teruhashi into someone who doesn't care about other people's opinions and is comfortable having her soul constantly bared while having to deal with a mega tsundere facade to scrape even the tiniest hints of information about Saiki's feelings. But then it doesn't even feel like Teruhashi any more imo. 🤷🏾

I just haven't found any way to keep their canon personalities and have them in a mutually healthy relationship despite turning it over and over in my mind a million times. 😔

But if they're metamour FWBs then they can still be besties who are super physically comfortable with each other and go out on casual dates, kiss, etc. 🤔

Almost all the fun without forcing them both into an eternal game of trying to be "effortlessly" perfect for each other. They're just too similar! They need people with different personalities to help them grow into their best selves.
