every time you compare the barbie movie to fight club an angel gets its wings violently ripped off
#sorry. the barbie movie was shit in comparison to fight club. to me#barbie movie will be forgotten within the next ten or so years meanwhile fight club will be iconic forever.#and i know this sounds like i'm saying 'the barbie movie is feminine and thus is less valuable than fight club which is masculine'#but i swear to god that isn't it#the fact is that the barbie movie's overall message was so weak in comparison to fight club#i would argue that the same could be said for the cinematography of the barbie movie in comparison to fight club.#AND the overall storyline.#there's also the fact that the barbie movie is quite literally just a really long ad for the barbie line#which the barbie movie isn't uniquely guilty of. this could be applied to any movie or series about an existing toyline.#idk i have opinions on this#talk.txt
