I think I convinced one of my coworkers to get her masters degree from the same program I'm about to finish. When I said it was a math secondary education degree with no needed math classes, she was sold. I was like no, it's all about just how to teach the math we already know. We don't need to take advanced vector calculus 4 or whatever to teach high school geometry

#she said shes gonna ask me about how to navigate the information when we start school back up in August #she's been a teacher for like 10 years and she keeps telling herself she'll get the masters degree #but the local college requires math teacher graduate students to also take math graduate courses #which is very confusing and complicated when you haven't done calculus in 10 years because you teach geometry #so when i said no graduate level math she was like fuck yeah maybe its finally time
