OC Questions - Personal Principles

1. If your OC came across sensitive or important information, what would they do with it? How would they react to finding out about it in the first place?

1a. If the information concerned/involved someone they knew, would your oc choose to tell them about it? How would they do so?

1ab. Is there any situation in which your oc would hesitate to or refrain from telling that other character? Why or why not?

2. If someone asked your OC for their honest opinion on something, would they give it?

2a. If there is a situation in which your oc would hold back or otherwise answer with a lie, are there situations when they would tell the truth? If so, how do they come to that decision?

3. How honest or dishonest is your oc, generally speaking?

3a. Is there anyone with whom they share their honest opinions in confidence? What is their relationship, and what is your oc's motive in keeping these things hidden from other characters?

3b. Alternatively, is there anyone with whom they are primarily or exclusively dishonest? What is their relationship, and what is your oc's motive in hiding things from them?

3c. If your oc is the 'brutally honest' sort, is there any consequence (socially or punitively) that would compel them to keep quiet about something? How well would that go?

3d. If your oc is the type to keep negative thoughts to themself, is there anything that would compel them to speak up or say something harsh to someone's face? What would the aftermath of that look like?

4. If your OC wanted to impress someone, how would they attempt to do so?

4a. If their attempt fails or backfires, how would they react? Would they give up or try again?

4b. What would make your oc want to impress someone in the first place?

5. Is there a line your OC will not cross, morally or preferentially speaking, in pursuit of something that really matters to them? If there are many such lines, what are they?

5b. If your oc is the type to push moral boundaries in pursuit of a personal goal, how far would they be willing to go? Have they ever done something they regret?

5c. How about for a sense of duty? Do their principles differ at all if the matter is occupational or part of an obligation? If so, which holds more importance to them?

6. In general, how difficult is it for your oc to tell someone 'no?'

6a. If there is someone they struggle to refuse more than others, what is their relationship? Is the other character aware of their power over Character A?

7. In general, how often does your OC agree to help or do favors for others?

7a. Is this something they enjoy doing, feel obliged to do, or have to be roped into in order to agree?

I'm starting a new game today:

Every day (or every day I feel like it), I will reblog a "Which OC" prompt and pick one of the eight pictured sims.

They are all employed at the Detroit Police Department and whichever candidate scores highest after 30 posts, will get declared "employee of the month". Not that they'd cared about the title, but they definitely care about winning. Or at least about their rivals losing.

(Note: Since this isn't strictly The Sims content, I could have used their portraits from Detroit: Become Human. But Susan doesn't exist in that game, her being the only "real" OC here, so I opted for an all sims array.)

Chapter 6: magical duel

(this will be the last chapter)

Mother Stacy: are you ready? 

Zachary: yes

Mother Stacy: alright go to the fighting ground, you will meet the witch named Hannah 

Zachary: ok where is the fighting ground?

Mother Stacy: on the roof top

Zachary: ok thank you miss

Zachary walked around the castle until he found the stairs to the rooftop where he met Hannah

Zachary: hello miss Hannah

Hannah: hello Zachary are you ready?

Zachary:* makes spikes appear from the ground. Heading towards Hannah* yes 

Hannah:* jumps to the side of spikes and shoots ice at Zachary* oh I see you prepared

Zachary:* creates a shield* Of course I was why wouldn’t I be prepared? I’ve been in fights before

Hannah: what do you mean you’ve been in fights before?

Zachary:* summons magical axe and swings it at Hannah* school fights I did use my magic though

Hannah:* grabs the axe* aren’t you not allowed to use your powers outside this world?

Zachary: well yes but so far I have not been caught yet and my friend haven’t told anyone

Hannah:* summon a magical bow and arrow* well that’s good

Zachary:* makes a force field around him* am I breaking any rules by telling somebody? 

Hannah:* breaks the force field*well if you tell everybody then, yeah, you’re kind of breaking the rule of telling nobody but if you tell like 3-4 people you’ll be fine 

Zachary:* jumps up to the second floor balcony* good *shoots fire at Hannah*

Hannah:* dodges* it seems like you have been practicing I’m impressed 

Zachary: yea I have

Hannah: seems like you’ve read the book

Zachary: yes the first thing the book said was to practice your magic anytime I get the chance

Hannah: yes if you want to become like me you should practice every day

Zachary: I would but I have school and stuff so I can’t practice everyday

Hannah:* teleports behind Zachary* you don’t have any class to practice your magic?

Zachary:* jumps from the balcony and freezes Hannah’s feet* no I got to a normal school 

Hannah: well looks like you win

Zachary: really? I thought I had to knock you out out something

Hannah: well it depends on what magical duel we do but since you have have never been in one this is level one you just have to one: block a spell and make it hit me in the face and two: do what you just did and prevent me from moving

Zachary: ah cool

A week later

Miranda; are you sure you don’t want to stay here?

Zachary: yes we wish we could stay here but I have school and I’m sure grandma is starting to worry but at least we can stay one more day

Miranda: yeah, and you know where to find us

Zoe: yea we do!

Adam: it was nice seeing you 

Zachary: yea maybe we can come visit once or twice every year

Miranda: that’s a good plan

Mother Stacy: so did this trip answer your questions about your mother?

Zachary: yea

Miranda: it’s getting late now you two should get ready for bed

Zoe: ok mom

Miranda and Adam leave the room

Adam:* hugs Miranda* Zachary and Zoe grew up so fast!

Miranda:* hugs Adam and kisses him on the forehead* I know and it looks like your mother is taking good care of them

Adam: yea I’m glad

Miranda:*picks up adam* anyway let’s get to bed

Zachary put Zoe to bed and goes out to the balcony to look out at the village

Zachary pov

This place is beautiful I’m a little upset that I have to leave but I know everybody will be worried about us and I have school and stuff and I know grandma and my boyfriends may start to think we are dead by now but I can’t wait to see them

The next day

Miranda: well what do you two want to do for your last day here?

Zachary: I want to walk around the village and learn more about it it looks kind of destroyed

Zoe: me to!

Miranda: well if you want to do that mother Stacy’s gonna have to come with because she’s the main reason. This place is kind of destroyed. 

Mother Stacy: yes but the story is very long. I’ll give you the short version once we get out there.

Zachary: ok 

Miranda, Zoe, Zachary and mother Stacy go out to the village

Mother Stacy: 120 years old I was born but I wasn’t born into a family of magic I gained them when I was about your age Zoe and ever since then I was not really allowed outside my little hut and as I grew older my magic started to become more and more powerful to the point I think, starting to get hunted for my magic so when I was 32 I ran away with my husband who was also hunted for magic until we found the mirror that you and Zoe entered in and we enter the village of a rival magical family no I am not proud of this but we had no choice, but to kill them all we knew that those hunters won’t be able to get in and since this family already hated us, we would not be allowed in and because of the magic, I use the village end up breaking down a bit 

Zachary: woah that’s insane

Mother Stacy: like I said that is it a shorter of version of the story if you want the whole thing the story is your mother’s magic book it’s near the end

Zoe: ok

Miranda: it’s true nearly everyone in the castle, has that book 

Zachary: ok I know that you’re book is In the back of grandma’s closet

Miranda: that’s good but be careful there are some spells that you should not be doing until you are adult

Zachary and Zoe: ok mom

Mother Stacy: well here is the mirror for you to go home it was nice seeing and talking to you both

Zachary: thank you, Miss we will make sure to visit

Mother Stacy: yes, but remember only once or twice

Zoe: bye! 

Zachary and Zoe go through the mirror and mother Stacy and Miranda go back to the castle

Miranda: well, the kids are gone now

Adam: I know I’m gonna miss them

Miranda: me to but they promised they’ll come back once or twice a year

Adam: ok

Meanwhile, Zoe, Zachary and Catalina

Catalina: where were you too? I was so worried?! 

Zoe: we found a magical place! 

Zachary: Zoe didn’t the lady say not to tell anyone about it?

Zoe: oh sorry

Catalina: it’s fine I’m just happy you’re both OK and safe
