Omg wait Arlecchino...tbh I think she is probably why most deaths within Fontaine happened now thinking about it.

Because while I know most like to have the Fataui be the good ones that can see the truth in their aus...tbh it doesn't make much sense to me. Mainly because while they want to fight against the Heavily Principles, they still are influenced by them because of their laws. So Tsaritsa would definitely order all members to kill any imposters on sight. So they would actually help the hunt.

But if we're talking during the healing phase then Arle definitely would be contributing by potentially letting them let steam out via fighting. Of course she would keep a close eye to make sure they don't get hurt, even wouldn't hesitate to harshly take their weapon away if sensing even a hint of a possible self infliction of harm. But anyway, she definitely gives me vibes of "aren't you tired of being nice, don't you wanna go apeshit?" for some reason.

Also yes she definitely uses the children to manipulate the creator (post healing, so all good again if we ignore that fact that they're not hostage in Fontaine) to keep their attention away from others. Or even use the fact that the creator is physically attracted to her to her advantage (like me, she can step on me any day-*SLAP*).

Though if I think about it a bit, her reaction to finding out what was actually happening would probably make her seem more stoic then usual. I mean she would be devastated don't get me wrong, but I get a sense that she would move past it quickly for the sake of getting plan healing the creator set in motion as quick as possible. Like her, Neuvillette, and Furina are like the three masterminds over this. Though that's not gonna stop her from asking the creator for forgiveness (but after they heal, when they're sound of mind again).

I can't really say more? Mainly because I'm admittedly not caught up with the game at all dhekehfj I haven't played in months and idk if I will any time soon (though the fact that Arle coming soon AND Sethos being shown is tempting me). But I still love the characters and the, which is why I made the au both for my own creativity and become I like putting the characters I love in various situations.

He finds it weird how other people are not ashamed of showing interest towards an "occupied" person. Like "you really have that much dignity? That little self worth?" I think for him it applies more towards people that actively try to steal your partner cuz how otherwise would u know they have a crush on them if they don't show it in some way. He is pretty appalled to it and thinks little of people like that. Its just plain stupid and useless in his opinion and he thinks his partner wouldn't get tempted by such foolery/clownery and if they do then they're a clown/fool themselves and they did him a favor by leaving.

Changbin - The Moon, King of Pentacles, 5 of Wands

Lots of mixed feelings and im also getting a hint of toxicity but a sweet one? Idk how to explain it - like wine?😂 as i said in previous readings i think he enjoys emotional torment in some way. So first he would feel personally attacked - even if he's not close to that person or if they aren't actively trying to steal them but he just noticed how they look at his crush or partner. I think he has lots of trauma and insecurities from last relationships which explains his hypervigilance and over sensitivity. He would get doubtful of himself, feel disrespected and attacked by the other person even daring to look and desire his crush/partner cuz how dare they?!?!! His crush is HIS!!! He would start comparing himself, doubting himself even contemplating if he should just let this crush go cuz whats the use of it anyway - but this episode is just the initial feelings he gets, they pass pretty quickly tho and he gains his confidence very quickly after that first initial hit. He remembers his power, his status, his wealth, his qualities and feels like king/boss once again and i think he gets into a competing mode - if its a crush - and start obviously competing with the other guy and trying to make himself look better, maybe even picking fights, but not like full blown fist fights, nor verbal ones, rather something of the sort where he starts throwing certain comments to just show his competitive nature and show he's not there just to play but he means business. I don't think he's friendly towards his "rival". If its about his s/o tho i see it going in a different direction where his doubts, jealousy, insecurity etc might lead to fights. I think his insecurity might insult his partner and i also think his doubtful phase would get pretty annoying to his partner after a while. Im hearing "ugh just get over it and stop being a pu**y."

I think he's very confident and even enjoys it when others show interest in his crushes/so, cuz he gets rally cocky and feels superior - like "oh u like them? Go ahead try😏 lets see which one of us they choose" cuz he just knows he's elite, he knows his power and he knows those dusties ain't got anything on him😂 I'm also seeing that he has many options as in, if its about a crush, he can get another one pretty easily even if he gets rejected, and if its about and s/o he thinks there's a pool if women (people) drooling all over themselves for him and would fight each other to get even close to him so he feels great security in whatever happens he would get chosen, and if he doesn't theres plenty of other great choices he can just swing his finger at and they would swoon at his feet.

Han - Justice, 8 of Cups

He also feels disrespected and makes him feel kinda cold towards that person but also towards his crush too. I think he also goes into a bit of a dark space and might think if they're truly right for each other, if the other guys not a better fit for his person, if maybe he's holding them back from true happiness or their "the one" and i think he might retract a bit into his shell, get cold and dwell on his thoughts for a while.

Felix - 5 of Cups

I think he feels insulted by that person especially if its a closer one. He feels betrayed and it takes away from the sweetness and happiness he felt when he looked at and spent time with his crush/so. Now when he looks at them he gets reminded of the betrayal and the bitter feelings and he also is very empathetic about it like...omg like he's thinking about the other person too and how painful it is for them to have a crush on someone thats taken or for them both to have a crush on the same person and i think he might be contemplating if he shouldn't take a step back to give the other guy(person) a chance as well cuz i think he engages in more of casual relationships and he would be thinking "if that persons feelings are truthful and deep and they want something meaningful with my crush, should i not take step back? I don't want anything serious i just want to have fun. Surely i can find fun elsewhere but can they find love elsewhere too? Its not as easy i think" that kind of monologue im hearing from him.

Seungmin - The Empress

I think he doesn't care one bit about the ither guy, he just cares about his wife and their little happy family and thats it. "That bloke can like whoever he wants, won't change the fact that my wife's mine."

His energy is so cute. I think he would contemplate about it, which action and solution would be best. And i think he would come to the conclusion about taking the initiative to approach that other guy and talk with him about it. The first time you met him was an unfortunate one.

It sadly began with a broken jar of almond butter.

You wanted to try it and you finally had scheduled the perfect time to go grocery shopping, on a day you didn't want to toss yourself off your balcony head first. You wondered if living on the ninth floor was a good idea each time you'd come home from a twelve or ten hour shift with a migraine and aching feet. Staring ominously at the glass door near your couch while eating chips and giggling at the hot actors on screen.

It was the catalyst though, that ninth floor, because the day the elevator broke and you had to carry your groceries all the way up, you just so happened to run into a man flying through the door at the same time you were opening it.

There went the almond butter down the ten stairs you'd just climbed to finally reach your home ground. But the eighth floor must've been tempting as it tried heading back that way.

The glass container had taken the tumble when your neighbor and you collided. It was no one's fault truly, and he apologized, but you could barely hear him over the sound of his gorgeous face.

You'd seen him before. Somewhere. Oh God, where was it?

"Sorry, I should've been paying attention." You had said, picking things that had spilled out of your bags while trying not to take a fall down the stairs yourself from the pain in your body.

"I'm not the one that got hit by a fuckin' door." His bluntness had made you snort, covering your mouth quickly to hide your laughter, having to pause your actions as you giggled.

"It was not that funny." He then said, biting back a smirk. You shook your head though, continuing to tuck yourself away and stand up. "It's not that." You then turned, seeing the splattered caramel colored condiment on the cement just below.

"Aww. I was looking forward to that."

The stranger's head swiveled to the side as he stood, looking at the broken mess. Then to your slight pout, watching the way you put your hands on your hips then shrugged.

"I bet it tasted like shit anyway." You shrugged.

It was his turn to laugh, gravelly and genuine.

"Here, I got these." He then said, gesturing to the bags. "I'll call maintenance after." "No, it's okay, I got it really." You nodded, moving to pick up your groceries but he'd snatched them before you could, grabbing most of the bags with one hand making his muscles flex in his arm.

"Oh-" "Which one's yours?"

From there you'd shown him your door which just so happened to be beside his, thanking him again a few times while he tried to reimburse you for the lost almond spread but you denied. Stating that you didn't need it and you for sure could live without it.

And with that, you and your neighbor parted ways...

until you met again that is.

The second time you met him was even more unfortunate.

You'd been rushing around the hospital after a horrible attack in Tokyo that left many of the hero's injured. That meant it also left you with another few hours of trying not to trip over your coworkers and get hit by flying beds.

By the time you reached one of the patients assigned to you he'd already begun fighting the other nurses that had been trying to help make him and all the others in the room comfortable.

His hero suit was ripped where he'd been injured, the black fabric hiding the fact that he was bleeding. Though it was obvious to you who could see it in the bright lights that shone down onto your bodies. The red just barely visible, your eyes then scanning a certain familiar tuff of blonde hair you swore you'd seen before.

"I'm fine you shitheads!"

"Mr. Dynamight, sir, you need to take a seat you've lost a lot of bl-"

"Did you not hear me damn it!"

He sounded a bit like a toddler as you came around holding everything you thought you needed in your arms. You looked so amusing standing there holding it all scooped against your chest while watching the scene play out.

"Hi." You then spoke up with your trained customer service smile, working retail back then sure helped in these situations. Though if he happened to throw something at you, there was no blocking it from hitting the target that would become your forehead.

"My name is Y/n, m'gonna help you out today, sir."

It's like the world stopped turning from the dead silence that came over him. The others stared at him with wide eyes and slight confusion while glancing over at you as if silently asking what the hell he was doing.

He just stood and twitched.

And then he turned, and a face you'd just seen a few days ago met yours. You didn't break though, showing him what you had.

"I can patch you up and you'll be out of here in barely a few hours, I swear. Now, leave us alone here guys?"

Your fellow peers quietly gave you a nod, running off to help the guy with yellow hair complaining that his head hurt and to stop his crying out, only repeating that he felt like a spaghetti noodle.

"I knew that I knew you from somewhere." You then smiled towards him, setting your stuff down and guiding him to actually sit instead of standing all hunched over and angry. "But I just couldn't put my finger on it." You finished, beginning to examine his cuts.

"Hm.." Was all you got from him, the tips of his ears slightly red as you looked his torso over. "You're gonna have to take this top part off. So I can see what I'm working with."

He did what you'd asked, jaw clenched as he moved, obvious that he was in pain. Though, not a sound passes his chapped lips that were lightly tinted pink. His suit finally dropped, pooling around his hips giving you full access to each of the large scratches and cuts that riddled his flesh.

"So Dynamight is my neighbor." You broke the quiet, cleaning a cut on his shoulder while he watched you with his crimson eyes. "How interesting." You joked, moving to his side to continue.

"Not what you expected?" He then asked quietly, watching as you shook your head. "I thought you were just another gym bro." He smiled slightly when you giggled at your term, trying not to hiss when you cleaned a much deeper cut on his side.

"Turns out... you're a hero. In the top three too, and I didn't even realize." You teased yourself, lifting his arm up to press a bandage to his side. "I feel kind of silly now."

"It's nice." You glanced up when he then spoke, grabbing another bandage as he continued to go on, "Not having every person you meet drop to their knees in adoration." You smiled at that, nodding your head, even ignoring his slight dramatic tone.

"Has to be refreshing." The not-so-stranger agreed, at your response.

"Like you wouldn't believe."

You continued to clean him up in silence, though not stiff, it was more of a comfortable atmosphere while you finished up. Leaving him to go attend to others but something about the interaction never left your mind.

And when you got home that night, tired and looking forward to watching Netflix with your cat. A glistening jar of almond butter and a bouquet of flowers sat on the mat in front of your door. No note, no other sign of life in the hall. Just those two things.

But you knew who they were from.

The third, fourth and fifth time were a bit different.

Each time you'd run into him at the hospital, it was always a result of him getting hurt, but you'd been the only nurse besides your boss that could handle him, and your boss nearly threw a bedpan at him the last time.

You'd help him with no words needing to be exchanged to make you understand why he hated the help. Though, you would never say it out loud, like he preferred, the less you talked, the more he'd begun to crave it.

Yearning to hear you joke with him or maybe tease him about the fact that he's practically deaf and you can tell because he keeps his TV incredibly loud. So loud your wall vibrates sometimes and you have to knock to get him to turn it down a notch or two.

He blames it on the explosions.

You never argue with that.

And each time you arrived home there would be flowers sitting in wait for you, and each time you knew who they were from, but you never brought it up.

Days to weeks passed between each time he got his ass handed to him. But he never faltered. He had a goal, and when Katsuki had a goal, he was gonna meet it.

You brushed it off, thinking it was a sweet way to say thank you from someone who practically choked and fought air trying to say those two words to anyone let alone a stranger.

A stranger that now knew you loved almond butter and talked to her cat all day. Sometimes even responding by meowing back and he'd, not in a creepy way, just sit to listen to you.

He came to a realization that he knew your first name. But he'd never told you his, and though you could've easily googled it, he couldn't help but wonder if you cared enough.

You did, the moment you met him as Dynamight, you couldn't tear yourself away from your laptop. You wanted to know who was behind the mask, in the Marvel sense of the words. Now that you had met both the hero, and your neighbor.

And you learned who your neighbor was pretty quickly.

Bakugou Katsuki.

The sixth time, he grew a pair.

He felt kind of stalkerish constantly leaving the gifts, and he hoped silently that he was creeping you out. Coming out of the elevator expecting to see an empty hallway, but you'd gotten off early and were already crouched down and petting the kitty that had waddled through the door to greet you.

Fucking hell, you were starting to be everywhere.

Or maybe that was just in his mind.

"You don't have to get me flowers every time you know, if you keep getting thrown through buildings, I'm gonna run out of vases."

Well at least you didn't throw out the other flowers.

"That was one time." He spoke up, stepping towards you and tucking his hands in his pockets to warm his hands. His compression shirt showing off each and every little indent in his torso making your heart skip a beat.

You felt like a teenager again.

"Tell that to the ribs you fractured." You said, your cat dancing around your legs and then moving to his. Purring and stepping up against him to gain his attention, but that was all on you.

"She likes you." You smiled, looking down at her before meeting his eyes. "She doesn't like anyone." "Cats got good taste if she likes you."

You looked away, a shy expression flashing on your face as you rocked back and forth on your heels.

"I mean... I could say the same for you."

There was a very juvenile giddiness that you both felt in your gut, the man watching you pick up your cat before grinning at him.

"So am I allowed to call you Bakugou now? Or do I still have to call you Mr. Dynamight?"

"You're an idiot."

"Mr. Dynamight it is."

You turned to bring in your baby but he'd cleared his throat, your head turning to face him. Your heart pounding in your chest.

"I was thinking..." "Yes."

He raised an eyebrow, gawking at you for a split second.

"You don't even know what I was gonna say?" He all but yelled slightly, you only laughed.

"Yes I do." You nodded, the cat meowing in agreement. "But I want you to cook, I am so sick of just smelling it in the hallway."

He blushed profusely, looking down at the ground. Swallowing before nodding and giving a light scoff.

"Whatever, see you tonight."

And that he did.

hi girlies, long time no see. tbh I was just logged out of this account for so long I kinda forgot about it...I logged back in and saw I had a backlog of like, 4k posts....

just spent the past like 20 min deleting them all LOL. sad tumblr doesn't really have xkit or anything anymore to mass select posts, I had to manually select them all....ugh. I just hate having so much history on my accounts tho, I used to say so much embarrassing stuff so I usually try to purge every couple months.

it feels weird to scroll back on tumblr...well, I'm kind of lying. I DO have another tumblr I've been more active (?) on (kinda). I use it as an actual blog tho, to make long, properly written posts and well...blog to myself lol. not the freeform head empty run on posts I usually make here. I have a photoblog I occasionally use sometimes as well, but I'm thinking of just deleting that and having only the longform blog since I enjoy that more. we'll see.

I'm tempted to delete this blog just bc having 3 different tumblr logins is a lot...but like I said, if I delete the photoblog it'll go down to 2 which isn't terrible. idk!

it's weird though how many of them use first names...in tos sometimes they didn't even use last names, only titles. spock called bones "doctor" almost exclusively. so riker calling geordi geordi after like 5 minutes of knowing him was a little weird

i cried when bones showed up. sue me. his prosthetics were terrible and i already miss him so much.

overall both the adventure and the interpersonal stuff was a little ????? which is like. you can flop on one or the other. i DO have faith it will get better but i feel kind of lukewarm on it so far

there's a lot of direct counterpoints to tos, but it's shuffled JUUUST enough so it feels like it isn't copying tos's homework word for word but rewording it to trick the teacher. for example, data is like spock in that he doesn't understand emotions or whatever, but it's actually the inverse because spock understands and pretends not to, while data truly doesn't understand but wants to. then you have deanna troi who's sort of filling in for the other thing spock used to do, which is give us general impressions about unknown alien life, but she SPECIFICALLY does it through emotions so she doesn't resemble spock too much. the captain and first officer have a lot of scenes together but they're tense so it doesn't look too tempting to the slash fans. the doctor is still a bit grumpy but she's a woman this time. they don't use tricorders but geordi's special prosthetic helps them see all that shit anyway. it's tos but shuffled. lmao that it took 2 people to replace spock <3

anyway my favorite part, aside from the part bones was in, was when riker and data talked in the holodeck. and riker was like actually yeah the fact that you're a machine DOES make me uncomfortable. and data is like well i am superior but i'd like to be human actually! and you could see the little gears in riker's head turning and later he called data friend. i liked that and i love data. i love data he's very important even though the pilot wasn't good i think i would keep watching no matter what for data. and i knew it would be like that.

I've been going down the sagau and creator reader rabbit hole recently and my brain finally stopped rotting away about it until I saw you reblog your self aware android post and the spiral just started again (thought process: self aware android > sagau > creator reader). Now I'm thinking about creator reader who is oh so powerful, who could do basically anything they wanted but they spend their days trailing after their fave like a puppy. This makes me especially happy when it's one of less influential characters (not an archon or someone like kokomi/diluc/ningguang) and it just leaves others wondering what makes them so special? Oh Thoma's gotta go clean around the estate? Okay I'll follow along and help, I'm very efficient at sweeping. Kazuha's off to a new location? Hold on lemme grab my bag and we can go! Is that Itto having another beetle battle with the local kids? I just found this new beetle that looks super strong so let me have a turn next! (These are random choices and not indicative of my actual faves. Just some general ideas)

awww this is a cute thought. i think it would be heartwarming and wholesome ✨i also love the thought of platonic/found family for this trope. like the creator reaching out to some of the non-popular characters and basically having a sort of familial relationship with them. bennett getting into trouble again? not with you around, no he won't. cooking snacks with yaoyao and qiqi and supervising them as they hang out.

and like honestly i haven't seen many sagau which would explore that relationship with the popular characters either. understandable, given that i'd 100% rather imagine myself marry zhongli, but sometimes i see people who thinks of zhongli as a parental figure and i'm tempted to write that kinda wholesome scenario... but idk... idt i'll be good at it? and i don't think it'll get any attention anyway? i dunno hahah i just feel hesitant to do it bc my brand is "zhongli's wife" and i just feel like people will squint hard at me if i ever write him as a parental figure or something ;;;;

alr i feel like i'm in the beginning of a Supernatural episode

so i've been seeing.... weird things the past few weeks. it started when i was doing the dishes and looked at the window and saw some sort of humanoid shadow walk behind me. scared the shit out of me. it wasn't like a brief glimpse either. then i could just say i was seeing things and move on. saw it for probably a full 6-7 seconds.

then i keep feeling dread whenever i first walk into the house. idk how to explain it. just weirder than usual anxiety.

then about a week ago i'm sitting downstairs watching tv and my cats staring through the backdoor at me. i glance at her and notice shes actually looking behind me and no matter how much i move or say her name, she wont blink or look away from this spot on the wall behind me. theres nothing there that i can see. i suddenly feel incredibly scared and leave the house.

then a few days ago i was standing at the front of my driveway waiting for the bus. it's dark. it's also cold enough to make those little clouds from my breath. i hear some loud banging sounds from the woods behind my house and i swirl around. closer to my house, in the middle of the driveway, i see a giant breath cloud about 7-8 feet in the air appear out of nowhere. like, there's nothing there. i take off my backpack so i can run better if i need to.

then sometimes my head will start ringing for no fucking reason. just. church bells in my head. it hurts like hell and is so SO loud. it goes away after a minute. oddly enough, it's only ever happened when i'm alone.

i remember about a year ago i saw some bright red thing in the field next to my house while mowing the lawn a few feet away from the woods. i didnt have my glasses on and it was far away. and this thing was fire truck red. i squint to get a better look and it kinda turns towards me as though it can sense i'm looking at it and runs back into the woods. this entire encounter took maybe 8 seconds. and i say "run", but it didnt rlly run. this is gonna sound so dumb but it's almost like it levitated really fast. i told my mom abt it but idk if she really believed me.

anyways i'm fucking terrified and i dont know wtf is going on here but i swear something is happening. i havent told my parents because they'd think i was crazy. i feel so paranoid which is stupid but i know how this crap goes man. i'm a believer in the supernatural side of the world. tempted to bust out the salt.

Unpopular Opinion(?)

but I think it's a total green flag for Jin/OG li to want to be a gentleman to Sienna. Yeah at first it kinda sucks to hear about their interactions, but Jin/OG li has honestly been pretty mature about the situation. Like saying how he doesn't want to do too much while you're both coupled up with other people (like you did when you first coupled up). I see this as character development, because before he definitely would've just kissed/did bits or whatever, but now the feelings are deeper and more real and he doesn't want to mess it up. Yeah he's not perfect, but I think it'd be boring and unrealistic if his entire character revolved around just MC and completely blocking out other options. Like if you played S2 on a Gary route....yeah....LMFAOOOO

Anyways, he still defends and backs up MC at literally every given opportunity, he's just not being an absolute asshole about it in front of Sienna (like Liam probably would've tbh). He's also reassured the MC of his feelings pretty consistently, and the communication is their which is great. I honestly just think it's Sienna's delulu antics that are making people question his intentions. I'm just saying...the season is called tempting fate. Fusebox probably wants to make you question your MC's connection with Jin/OG li for the story/drama. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith for funsies 😋✌️

If Jin/OG li were to treat Sienna like absolute crap (like how Liam is treating Bea, or Emel/Oakley, Sophie/Jack, Jin/Luna) then that would turn me off of him so bad, because who's to say he wouldn't do that to MC or other women? He respects women period, and I think that's respectable and a straight up green flag.

Just to reiterate, this is my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and how they feel about it. I just wanted to give my two cents. 🤷‍♀️

regrettably i'm thinking about the 2019 bucharest ritual again

So the one and only time (so far) that Ghost has been in Romania, it was in 2019 where they opened for Metallica at the National Arena. And it was... rough

(disclaimer i wasn't there but i consumed every single recording i could find online)

Firstly, they put them on during the middle of the day, which is already just a piss take-- but like fine, whatever, not the biggest possible issue

But then, the stage they were on was... weirdly big, but not in any way that was useful-- it was really long but really narrow. And I don't know if that's just the usual shape of the stage or if the planners suck at their jobs, because the band was playing in front of this sort of screen and you could see Metallica's set pieces peeking out from behind it-- so I got a sneaking suspicion they divided the stage in half and squeezed Ghost in the front

Also that screen was so tall that their setup looked laughably tiny. Idk

The stage also had this weird semicircle-shaped catwalk in the front? Which was pretty cool the couple times Papa got down there, but it also meant no classic Square Hammer intro-- no lean, no nothing, the guitarists just kinda huddled into a corner near the front.

ALL OF THIS WOULD BE ONE THING. Because hey, it was an arena show, maybe those don't go so in depth with the details

But the audience. The fucking audience... They're the reason I can no longer honestly complain about so few artists coming to this country, because honestly? Can't blame them!

The arena was half empty. It looked like one of those local shows where they put on your cousin's garage band and people only really show up because it's free to enter and the beer's cheap. EVEN THERE, I've seen more enthusiasm from the crowd

I understand most people were there for Metallica, but then why come see Ghost as well, if you're not gonna engage at all? Tobias was up there performing his heart out, talking to the audience, trying to get their attention-- nothing. The most enthusiasm I saw was during Year Zero (which is funny considering the state of this country ifykyk), and the people in the pit were the most responsive, but even then, disappointing

And I know it can't just be the band's fault for not engaging the crowd, because they get a completely different response in other countries, where people follow basic show etiquette and don't act like wet blankets

Seriously, why even pay to see a band you're not interested in. And if they were interested, that's a hell of a way to show it; but knowing the ro scene I'm tempted to believe most of them were just elitist weirdos who hadn't even heard of Ghost and generally have no respect for artists

But playing BG3 does kinda make me feel like all the gods are just terrible, and the path of religious trauma feels all but inevitable. Are any of them not so? Is there a way to portray a more positive relationship?

ayyy thanks nonnie!! as established i really love clerics so allow me to pile some peer pressure on top of your decision pile!! go be a cleric!! (if the playstyle appeals to you etc)

it sounds like you're talking about pen-and-paper dnd, yeah? (you might be my earlier anon??) disclaimer that i'm not a 5e lore expert, but one difference ime from the bg3 experience is that bg3 is coming to you as a pre-written narrative with its own themes (such as humanoid choice in the face of manipulation, which extends to gods).

5e lore, on the other hand, is written as a bunch of open-ended hooks you/your dm can choose to engage with or not. also most gods in 5e don't have a ton of complex canon lore about being secretly evil or selfish--it's kind of bluntly "good god" "evil god" "neutral god" etc to leave you room to play and worldbuild. (other than uhhh i guess being complicit in the wall of the faithless 😬 which is dubiously canonical now anyway.) like, a god like eilistraee is going to be very easy to imagine a positive relationship with for a good-aligned cleric if that's what you're looking for. and even a god like mystra who comes off pretty bad in bg3, is like...relatively fine in canon 5e lore. i think of bg3 almost like someone's fleshed-out tabletop game where the dm has made characterization and world decisions to flesh out the lore

plus the gods do have personalities, greek god-style, which means that your cleric might, idk, overarchingly agree with their own god's goals but find bits of their dogma annoying or wrong, or otherwise relate to them with a bit of conflict (for spice!) without necessarily feeling used/betrayed. this lends itself to storytelling where a cleric might find themselves challenged by what they find on the road: the gods aren't perfect, just like, idk, your friend the wizard in your party isn't perfect

(ALSO like. if you're not married to the idea of playing an unambiguously good-aligned cleric, there's nothing stopping you from playing a character who unabashedly loves their awful god lmao. or like, a lawful neutral god like kelemvor--you could create a cleric who is so so into that very specific, harsh-but-fair moral code)

you might find the "deities by alignment" page a good way to find the overall vibe you're looking for! like i said, the lore is built out of hooks for you, so there's plenty of room to create a relationship that feels fun to play. (or, like, a non-relationship! lash has strong feelings about Being A Cleric but ilmater has never manifested for her personally)

people are saying that about volo huh? man he’s such an experience bc the fundamental rules of the game (or of singles i should say) are messed up there. there’s a lot that’s different in your favor and a lot that’s different in his. the turns system is unique with the strong and agile style thing making it possible to go multiple times in a row (and to get hit multiple times in a row.) the fact that there are no free switches in between your opponent’s pokémon so you can get punished for ohko’ing somebody by having him send out the perfect counter that immediately goes first. the fact that max revives are very easily attainable in this game. the fact that not only is giratina A Thing, but that when playing for the first time *you don’t know about that.* the only way to be truly prepared for giratina is to stall and take the time to heal your team toward the end of volo’s fight which feels kinda cheap. barring that you either have to be very overpowered or very lucky

i struggled when i first played even when using a ton of items and having brought four legendaries (probably bc i was a noob). but on my next replay when i had more experience and a real team i was still fighting for my life, even with items. but i did a no items volo challenge for my most recent run and it was a fresh nightmare that came down to very good luck on my part for the final shot. all three times i remained strictly on level and honestly isn’t the game way more fun that way? i’m also thinking i should go no items or at least limited items from here on out. and a strict level cap

It's mostly YouTube comment bragging I've seen people say that about volo in, but yeah, it's really silly. Couldn't have said it better myself! The way pla is balanced is honestly so cool, and the dread I felt so many times with battling him and he stacked up enough agile and priority moves to get like three turns in a row was painful 😭 not to mention the obscured status! Hoo boy, that REALLY made giratina a pain.

What I find really funny is I beat volo's regular team first try and even when I was liveblogging I mentioned that I was sad it wasn't harder, even if I only had a couple pokemon still standing.

... Then giratina happened 😂 I lost to his first phase sooooo many times on subsequent attempts after that, think I ended up having to swap out my hisuian lilligant for an alpha sylveon and trained that up from scratch just to have a reliable counter for spiritomb.

Anyway yeah, it's soooooo much more fun to stay on level! If I'd just ran in overlevelled there's no way it'd have stayed in my head for as long as it has, it's probably my favourite pokemon moment of all time as it stands. No items is definitely really fun in Pokémon in general, I love having to think hard about team order, items and status moves to give myself the best shot of staying alive 😭 tempted to also try a level cap when I play violet, bc shiny hunting and BBQ grinding made it way too easy to accidentally overlevel (accidentally got my hydrapple to level 100 half way through the epilogue, woops)

If you have access to emulation btw, I'd highly recommend luminescent platinum! Idk if you've heard of it or not but it's a really cool bdsp mod with a few cool story changes, properly scaled pokemon and a massive overhaul to every battle in the game (as well as expanding the dex by A Lot). All bosses have several rotating sets of teams they'll use at random that are fully competitive and there's an option in-game to set hard level caps that increase as the story goes along, and stop you levelling up at all once you reach them. It's really cool! Think I'm up to victory road in that game, should really get back to it haha

napoleon - kind, good head on his shoulders, mature, very wise; gives sound advice, very safe presence.

mozart - prickly at first but turns soft, very talented, protective,m very respectful of boundaries.

arthur (aka doyle which is a nickname me nd dove call him bc he annoys us AHSGDF) - can be very sweet but usually plays it off with weird flirts? dont,,, know what consent is from what i can tell. hes a good speaker but im guessing he has a lot fo emotional vulnerability problems.

vincent - AN ANGEL. HES SO PRECIOUS/. hes very sweet, kind, very warm presence, gentle, considerate, friendly, hes literallys o gorgeous i wnat to hold his face and cherish every skin cell on his body. its insane. hes ethereal.

theo - he calls the mc a dog a lot,,, i think its teasing but its,,,,, very weird,,,,,,, anyways!! he seems liek a very hard worker and he cares a lot for his brother vincent ^^

isaac - IF VINCENT IS PERFECT HES PERFECT X2 but thats. very baised of me. ANYWAYS. hes a little awjward and standoffish at firstm but when you get him to open up he tries to protect your with his LIFE. hes very kind, very sweet, great with children, a bit hesitant when initiating any form of affection, he just wants the best for the mc and will sacrafice his own happiness to make sure she gets it.

dazai - i mean yorue already playing dazai's route but from what ive seen he looks out for people a lot and is very emotionally aware of the people he surrounds himself with.

shakespeare - hes kinda sketchy but i believe in him. very poetic,, he talks like the actual shakespeare wrote if that makes sense. he seems kind and reliable but im at. a very shakey (heehee) part in his route rn so i'll get back to you on that LMAO

comte - HES SO KIND,.,.,. he likes to spoil the mc which is both very sweet and very sad at the same time :C he has a very soothing presence imo and knows how to lead people.

sebastian - stoic my ASS hes literally SO dramatic. hes a bit of a history freak. i think that regardless of whose route you take, he grows to care a lot for you and will throw a FIT if you think about leaving the mansion. hes calm,,, collected,,,,, yk classic butler type

charles - hes a babygirl character. he craves love so much he would hurt himself for it and i think he kind of,,, i know how to put this into words but he gives a LOT to other people without really getting anything back?? except for like, physical touch???? he works very hard for the people he loves and is touch starved but yk precious!!

oh my god ;; okay, so- i feel like i should highlight first that this is all stuff that mainly got thrown around inside my head; i never actually wrote anything out properly? so this might come off more as a deranged rambling than anything else aha-

tbh the bad ending feels kinda self-explanatory: the moon wins. that's all there is to it; either sebek and malleus don't get there in time so silver manages to throw lilia off with magic and escape through the portal, or malleus' attempt to cut off his magic fails... et cetera, et cetera.

i got really tempted to write that. sheep (friend who helped me a lot with hollow moon) and i REALLY like the moon (we call her "moonie") and it just got really tempting to write a bad ending where she's basically toying with silver, dressing him in pretty clothes and making him entertain her, and kind of sort of managing to keep him alive (barely) while his mind's just a complete mess under the full extent of her thrall. idk, i'm a sucker for Women™ who do things like that. y'all don't know how much i liked writing moonie toying with silver in the dream sequences in hollow moon (answer: a lot)

except the problem is that this bad end led me to think about a good end to the bad end (convoluted!!), which utilises one of my favourite tropes in general: rescue missions. do you think?? the other three are just gonna take this lying down?? they're gonna find a way to break in and drag silver back and AAAAA i had to throttle and restrain myself from scrapping the original ending and writing that because. Do You KNOW how much i fucking LOVE rescue missions?? malleus 1v1's the moon while lilia and sebek go looking for silver (who is just unconscious and left in a pretty little tower somewhere in those mountains, sleeping in a bed while moonie deals w the pesky intruders...) something something the horror of seeing ur son just fucking Gone mentally and needing to drag him out before it's too late. anyways

IDK I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE but man. hollow moon. sure did take a lot out of me. moonie is a #girlboss and i love her. tbh the main reason why i didn't scrap it is bc 1) i think the fic would've gotten another 20k words and i was not strong enough and 2) i still like the og ending. i think it fits perfectly and i had it in mind since the beginning so i wasn't gonna just scrap it. IT WAS STILL TEMPTING THOUGH-
