I said it in yesterday's but now I'm pondering about it more deeply. Thinking about how I said Seb would let Fernando win at random things. I guess actually it's not that he's letting him, more that he's not as upset to lose, or rather, playing a different game entirely. It's mostly because during their early relationship, that was like, the only way for Seb to witness him happy, or more accurately, without his barriers up. I think winning is the most important thing ever to both of them, above anything, and at everything. But I guess Fernando finds it a bit more dire? Like he'll prove his self worth, even if it's just a game of cards.

It's not that Seb isn't as petty or competitve, but rather that he learns he can win "more" in some cases by losing. He is willing to concede sometimes because sometimes losing means that he wins something more valuable, such as Fernando's affection or happiness. Maybe in the beginning, he was just as agressively competitve, but then noticed that every time he lost, Fernando would suddenly chill out a lot more. So on some level, even if they're just playing cards or something, Seb is playing a completely different game.

I think a lot about that one duo interview with them, where they had to compliment each other, and Seb was so quick and honest with it, but Fernando struggled and came off sounding a bit fake. At any time, they are, both consiously and subconsiously, playing that mind game with each other. If I let him win, what does that say about me. What does how I act after winning say about me.
