simple and clean feels like a very sokai song especially from kairi’s perspective
#like it sounds like such a cute friendly song but then the lyrics are actually kind of anguished and desperate#it’s actually pretty sad#esp feeling this with kh1 which of course makes sense bc that’s where it debuted#like it’s all about kairi’s anxiety about change and her friends leaving her behind#this can also work from sora’s pov too i just like assigning stuff to kairi#kingdom hearts#mine: kh#sokai#whereas i feel like chikai is the triumphant response to that song#((it’s in the same key hehe))#and i do mean specifically the japanese version#chikai is like ok i apologize for having left you behind so many times you are still my beloved i still choose you#so i promise it won’t happen again. i swear it#just cuz it feels so much like they’ve been drifting away from each other and that kh3 is about them finally trying to reconnect#cuz they’ve missed so much that’s happened in each others lives but their feelings are still there#ironic that this song feels so triumphant when they just get ripped apart over and over again yet AGAIN in kh3#don’t think twice feels like a cruel mockery#feels like simple and clean still fits them even in kh3 ooooughhh
