I really don't understand having that much room for hate in your psyche

like...I just want to live my life. to work and follow my passions and have a home and a family. broadly, that's what we all want. I want other people to have that, too, because why wouldn't I? what have demographic groups that people have no control over being part of- and even some they do! -done to hurt me?

I don't hate other white people. I don't hate straight people. I don't hate men- and no, hyperbolic expressions of frustration that are clearly not serious don't count; grow up -or Christians or other cis people or any other group that dominates the Right. I have not lost one iota of rights from them simply existing. I hate concerted efforts to hurt people for no reason, and the individuals committed to them, but that's all

you could show me the straightest, whitest cis Christian man in the world, and if he wasn't visibly expressing a desire to hurt anyone for no valid reason, I'd be just as friendly to him as anyone I met at Pridefest

so why on earth do they have such an infinite capacity to hate the immigrant from the Wrong Countries? the Black person? the trans person? the gay person, the Muslim or Jewish person, the woman? where does it even come from?

don't they just want to live their lives in peace and see those around them happy and healthy? isn't that what we all want?

how are they so easily taken in by scapegoating when it's obvious that minorities fighting for our rights haven't taken a single thing away from them but the ability to control and subjugate us? and why do they even want that? I certainly don't want to subjugate them!
