literally, textually, having someone point out that steve doesn’t know what he wants only to have three characters explicitly, textually, tell him what he wants is to get back with his ex and just have him go along with it like he’s always gone along with everything rather than have his season arc be figuring out what the fuck he wants is like freshman level bad writing.
